They were about to do the small sink but fortunately I was onsite and caught the issue in time. They made it work with a proper size sink. Even with these glitches I still was satisfied and would absolutely work with them again. The price was similar to what I'd paid several years ago for a similar sized job so I would consider their overall offering to be very competitively priced.

KZ was one of the reasons my recent remodel finished in four weeks…read more I started at KZ early in the process after visiting a few other stores and feeling both underwhelmed by their selections and overwhelmed by figuring out what I actually needed. On that first visit I met Bailey, who ended up becoming a key part of the project. I came in with measurements from my contractor, rough layout ideas, and a general sense of what I wanted: drawers instead of mostly base cabinets, quartz countertops, and a way to turn a small, dysfunctional kitchen into something thoughtfully designed with proper prep space. Bailey took those requests and my contractor's initial mockups and developed a layout. I was immediately impressed by his thoughtfulness and attention to detail. He also included things I would not have known to ask for, including a blind corner pull out "peanut" cabinet that turned dead space into some of the most usable storage in the kitchen. He explained his decisions when asked and found solutions as needed, for example suggesting a microwave cabinet when I mentioned not knowing where to put that. I left excited about the project and hopeful it could actually come together. He was consistently responsive to my many questions afterward. He sent estimates for different options so I could compare costs, such as a 4-inch versus full-height backsplash, and shared renderings of the cabinet and countertop combination. Seeing the space rendered that early was a significant moment for me. His involvement continued well beyond placing the order. As the project progressed, Bailey made sure everything was delivered properly, communicated directly with my contractor, answered questions as they came up, kept suggesting ways to improve the project, and made sure everything was set up correctly for countertop templating. The fabricator, Rafael, was also excellent and did a beautiful job. He and Bailey suggested adding another slab of quartz so we could do a full waterfall on the exposed ends of the counter. I took their advice and I am very glad I did. It made a huge difference and made that part of the design feel complete. I was also happy with KZ's pricing and selection. I visited four cabinet and countertop stores, and KZ had the best overall selection I found. Their prices were extremely competitive without sacrificing features or quality. The cabinets have plywood boxes, soft-close doors and drawers, and full-extension drawers, and they arrived fully assembled rather than flat-packed. My contractor had specifically told me not to buy RTA cabinets and these were straightforward for him to install. All of my other interactions with KZ were positive too. Delivery drivers called ahead, other employees in the store were helpful, and the factory expedited part of my order for an additional charge when my fast schedule required it. One thing worth mentioning for anyone considering KZ is the type of experience they provide. This is not a full-service design firm where someone makes every selection and manages every detail for you. I had to be a little assertive on my first visit because there were a limited number of design/sales reps available, but once I connected with Bailey the experience was excellent. You will get the most out of KZ if you come in with measurements and some idea of what you want, are willing to look around and give input, and are okay following up with questions. When I did reach out, Bailey was very responsive. Some practical things to know: they do not offer financing, some costs such as fabrication are settled separately and in cash, and delivery is extra if you cannot pick up the order yourself. Mine was around $500 for 18 cabinets plus panels and hardware, delivered about an hour away. I think some of the savings come from this model, but it helps to have the right expectations. My entire remodel took about four weeks, including a full primary bathroom and extensive changes throughout the house, with the KZ order placed roughly one week before construction began. A lot of the credit goes to my excellent contractor, but KZ's responsiveness, timely deliveries, and efficient work were a major factor in keeping things moving. It was night and day compared with buying my other materials through large home improvement stores. When I had questions or concerns, it usually took a simple text to Bailey to resolve them. I am super happy with the finished kitchen and with my experience at KZ. Easy peasy - I dare say even more convenient than a regular IKEA store where you have to wait in line for pickup and walk / navigate far. The best advice I received was to go to an auto parts store as it appeared as is the hose was metric. I then contacted my plumber who suggested I go to visit Hung at LP Decorative Plumbing. Hung knew exactly what I needed and had it in stock. Within minutes of arriving at the cluttered LP shop I had the part in hand. He knows his stuff! I even had leak when I installed the new part, and Hung helped me troubleshoot the problem. Try to get that level of service from Home Depot.

So I went to LP and I believe Hung is the owner of the store, he has a lot variety of kitchen faucet and he explained that very well to me on each one, during the conversation I explained what's the problem on my kitchen faucet and he told me I don't really need to get a new one, don't waste your money because it is only a simple fix so he taught me step by step how to clean the flow separator but unfortunately it won't work so I decided to take the whole thing back to the shore and ask Hung. He just took a quick look and took some parts out and do a little cleaning. Unbelievably my kitchen faucet work as new with strong water flow. That save me a couple hundred dollar from buying a new faucet. I will definitely refer this place to my friends and families, too bad I can't give this store a 10 star otherwise I will do so. The cabinet price…read morethey quoted me ended up being at least a couple thousand more than the place I ended up choosing and they were not as nice either (the East Star ones were particle board while the other ones were wood, the other ones were soft close which these were not, my actual layout ended up having almost entirely drawers on the base cabinets which wasn't included in the East Star price and so it would have been even higher than the quote they gave me, and so on). I was also looking for countertops and their options left a lot to be desired. They were maybe slightly cheaper than the other place ($40 difference for a standard countertop size of 110" by 26") but way less options and didn't look as nice. Mostly they were just not that helpful and I also didn't love their selections. I left searching for other options pretty quickly. I think one reason to maybe come here is the prices but in my experience even those were higher and the quality and selection were worse. In addition, ideally you want someone who can actually help you figure out a layout and make you feel like you want to shop there and I didn't get that sense. Maybe I just had a bad experience but even though I came in having some idea of what I wanted, I definitely did not get the vibe that this was where I would find it.

In the middle of the construction, they actually suggested that we have space to get an 18"-dishwasher installed which is my most favorite part of the renovation. My review may be overdue, but hey, even after two years, everything still works and looks great (although not as clean and pristine like the photos because of all the cooking we actually now enjoy doing, plus two toddlers and two cats lol). We do recommend having a good air filter running nearby though to pick up any stray dust. Since we're not designers, having input from both Dmitriy and Karen throughout the entire process was invaluable. There were many decisions to make during the renovation, and their expertise and experience made a huge difference. I found a young male associate (20-25, round fair skin baby face), asked him, he was very detailed. Told me they will receive shipment tonight and about 2000 in stock. Came in next morning at 9:30am, only 14 bags were left! There was an older Hispanic associate, asked if I'm able to purchase the rest of them. He didn't understand me, pointed towards the register. I went to the register, asked the lady there (Amelia), am I able to purchase the remaining bags? She said yes. I did ask if I'm able to purchase 20 in total and they save the 6 bags for me to come pick up the next day, she didn't understand my question. I didn't want to keep explaining. So I just purchase the 14 bags. With receipt in hand, I asked the older Hispanic associate if he can help bring the bags to my car. Bags were on a flat bed. I wasn't sure if I can take the flat bed or what..??? He told me no he can't. I went back to Amelia, I asked if there's someone that can help me bring the soil to my car. And she sounded surprised that I needed help. I waited 5-10 minutes until someone came to help me. Another male associate, 23-28 oval face glasses ear length wavy hair told me I can pull up my car right by the gate and have the trunk open and he'll load the soil in. Tried customer service chat, after 45 minutes back and forth (multiple times I had to ping "hello" to the agent after a LONG pause with no response), agent said my remaining items would be delivered. They were not. Did a chat to support again next day, chatted with agent, agent seemed to be helping me, but 45 minutes later, chat stopped working, no refund, no items, unable to connect with any agents via chat. Called customer service. Over 30 minutes later, agent said he tried calling the store and store wouldn't pick up so he told me I would have to call the store myself - that I would have "more time" to do so. Asked to speak to his supervisor, supervisor "Chris" disconnected the call. Called the store, phone rang for 37 minutes straight, finally someone answered. He said he would see to it that my items are delivered and would knock some off the bill. We will see. If you choose to order anything from homedepot.com, good luck to you.
