I love HD. This Conroe location is by far the WORST location in the entire franchise! They are completely understaffed, a simple trip to get items turns into a half day event while you wait for service of ANY kind! Paint dept.... Don't even expect to get employee eye contact in this department. Need some blinds cut? Might as well bring your own pair of scissors, because no one's helping you here! Looking for a certain plant in the garden center? Hold on, I'm still rolling on the floor laughing at the thought of someone helping me in garden. I mean, this place is the absolute worst! This is the third time I've walked out of this store after waiting and waiting and paging and waiting and BEGGING anyone to help me, and just headed onto Lowes. I don't know why I keep thinking it will get better, and why I don't just start at Lowes to begin with? I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. Sure would save my time and frustration. This is the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. It's better to drive a little further and go to The Woodlands. Whether it's in person or an online order you cannot have a good experience there. Since I moved to the area I've spent over $20k but that should make a difference. $20 or $20k should still be good service. The last straw was a large online order that included 2 bags of grass seed. I really love HD but when I go to the store and there is staff just standing around chatting not even caring they are blocking the aisles dont even ask if you need help, now there are staff that help but they are the reason for a good shopping experience, the other ones that just block the aisles and get upset when you ask to pass through, is ridiculous, customer service sucks, they watch you like your a criminal when your checking out, I will be avoiding the store and taking my business to Lowe's. read more

I assumed there was a reception issue, so I called back and was directed again. I waited nearly ten minutes before the call was answered and all I heard was activity in the background for thirty seconds before being hung up on again. A new manager may be needed. read more

Takes a lot for me to do this but this is one of those situations that just doesn't make me feel very warm n fuzzy. I'm remolding our home here in Conroe and have spent about 25-26 grand at Home Depot in the last 5 months. Not trying to gloat but it's adding up quick. Not on a pro account, haven't returned anything but the wrong light bulbs so far. Well we finished the exterior and had about 25 sheets left of 20' hardy board worth about 1000 dollars. This is something that is worth driving it back to Home Depot, unloading it, positioning it on the aisle as instructed by customer service and then being told by a manager that we don't accept returns and won't give anything more than store credit over 100 dollars(meanwhile they accepted the 2x4s bought the same day). Wasn't asking for cash or even a refund, I was literally loading up with drainage to redo my backyard. Got told sorry this is company policy. Doesn't seem right. Well, it's happened three times at this location so we know it isn't an isolated incident. Customer service here STINKS!!! 1. We came in to purchase a BBQ. It was $1,000 and very large. My husband asked if someone could help him load it in the truck. We were told someone would come...no one did. We asked again but no one came. We waited and waited, finally, he went into the store to hunt down someone to come help. 2. I wanted to get a sample of some large tiles. They were sealed on a pallet. Could not find anyone to help. Waited for 15 minutes and finally an employee walked down the aisle. I asked if he could open the pallet for me. His response, "I'm not on the clock" as he walked away. I finally had to use my keys to to cut the slats and open the boxes to get my tiles. 3. Last night we went back to purchase the tile for our job. We waited in the tile aisle for a very long time, no associates to be found. My husband ended up taking out his knife to cut the boxes from the bindings and he loaded 20 BOXES of 12x24 tiles to a cart...no one associate came to help. At one point an employee just walked on by without offering assistance. Then we went to pay and again, not one person offered to help us load in the truck. We are not young people. In the past few weeks we have spent thousands of dollars in this store...unfortunately we had no other choice because they have the products we need for our job. But the service is abysmal! It's just a matter of time before a customer is seriously injured because the staff can't be bothered to assist their customers. read more

I was quite literally profiled by an employee who coincidentally happened to not be wearing his name tag, or at least visibly when I looked for it. I walked into this location today around 3pm-ish (can't quite remember the time) and looked around for aisle 16 since that is where the pry bars and box cutters/blades are located (removing carpet in my house). I didn't see a name badge on this employee so I'll call him Captain Home Depot. Anyways, Captain Home Depot walked up to me and decided to ask me about the hoodie I was wearing. I then tell him what it means and where I got it from. (Purchased at a gas station in colorado). Long story short, Captain Home Depot proceeds to tell me that I shouldn't commit crimes in Texas because they're expensive, essentially implying that I shouldn't steal from Home Depot while I was literally just looking for a few tools and some paint for my flooring. read more

Just witnessed a grave disservice to a military (Marine) veteran at Home Depot in Conroe. As he was checking out at self-check out and had requested assistance to get his military discount, the girl who is supposed to be helping told him his card didn't work and he'd have to sign up online. He was not going to get his discount on his purchases today. He replied, well, I guess just go back to Lowes. To which she replied "they're doing away with theirs too". Good managers make good stores. No one in tools and over saturated anti theft devices create less sales. I was trying to buy a 12" miter saw, but couldn't get a fine blade because their locked up. So I walked out with purchasing what I could access as normal now. How about a will call desk dedicated to tools to prevent theft and increase sales. Most of us professional will spend thousands on tools to make our job easier, but if we can't easily or quickly purchase we will make do with what we have. I guess I can thank Home Depot for pushing me to go to harbor or used rout for tools. read more

This is a very large Hone Depot store. For all your building and home improvement needs this is your one stop shop. The store was fairly clean and organized. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. For such a large store I was surprised to see only 2 registers open. They did have several self checkout lines available but they could only take cards and not cash. I struggle to get to anything I need every time I come here, they have so much stuff blocking the isles constantly. Forklifts, multiple lanes always closed, pallets upon pallets of stuff everywhere to the point you can't get a cart past. . Don't they have night crew that can stock anything? Often out of stock on items I need like air filters, but plenty of crap you don't need like Halloween decorations and Christmas stuff 4 months too early. This store deserves ZERO stars. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experience. Bought a 3400.00 refrigerator that took 3 tries to get it to us. Didn't make first delivery with a 4 hour window. Second delivery brought a damaged refrigerator that Kenny the store manager at the Conroe store promised to compensate us for a third try! Once it was delivered he would not return our phone call to receive the compensation. Instead he had a lady name Shelly call us back and she was rude, shouted loudly and never gave us a chance to explain the situation . She hung up on us and then had an assistant manager named Beverley call us back. She directed us to LG customer service to handle our claim. We have been on hold with LG for 25 minutes and they still are not answering. This is ridiculous!! DO NOT buy APPLIANCES HERE! Home Depot is terrible and so are LG Appliances!! Normally, The Home Depot is my go-to store for tools, home repair supplies, and lately engine oil. But let me tell you about Jack. Jack works in the plumbing department, Jack is obviously very knowledgeable about plumbing, Jack makes the rounds, Jack is condescending and horrible at customer service. Jack will grudgingly ask you if you need help. However, grudgingly isn't the best term here because it doesn't convey the abrasiveness in his tone. I mean, how dare you be looking for supplies in his section? Jack: "Do you need help?" Me: "Yeah, I'm repairing a faucet leak and I think this gasket..." Jack: "What brand is it?" Me: "I don't know that's why brought the part with m..." Jack: "They're sorted by brand." Jack walks off. Fine, whatever, old men can be ornery. I'm not an idiot, I can probably find the part myself. There's a parts reference catalog in the isle. As I'm looking through the book, Jack walks by, "That book is sorted by brand." And keeps going. Okay, he's not ornery, he's your run of the mill disgruntled jerk. I saw him do a similar thing to another customer. So I find my part (catalog was more helpful than Jack), get the part numbers, and take my business to Lowe's Home Improvement twice the distance from my house. I'm gonna have to find new places for tools, supplies, and auto maintenance now. And with Lowe's, Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, and Amazon being options, I'm gonna be alright. If you need a part, but don't need attitude, find another place for your home supplies. Don't be like Jack. read more

We are now working on three delivery dates with our current order. You call the corp. number, and they give you the local store. You speak with local store, and they don't know who's on first base. Unbelievable! This review is for appliance delivery. On July 3 we ordered a new dishwasher from Home Depot they said it would be delivered July 8th. I got a call yesterday confirming the delivery for today. This morning I get a call telling me my delivery is cancelled. I called the delivery company and asked why, they explained a driver quit and that my delivery would not happen until the 12th. WHAT! I asked to speak to her supervisor and I was transferred and hung up on. I called Home Depot to see if they could do anything and they said no. I think this is very poor customer service and very unprofessional. No wonder their driver quit! Now we are scheduled for delivery July 10th, two days prior then the second date given. Thank goodness. They have showed up to install but the dishwasher door is bent!!! It can not be installed the nice guy who came to deliver and install it called the company reporting the damaged machine and was told delivery will not be scheduled for another week! Are you kidding me. Why would they not try to expedite this order. We will NEVER order another appliance from Home Depot. Buyer beware! read more
