Nice large selection of landscaping materials. Very modern and nicely designed store. Not the cleanest Home Depot I've ever been in but not the worst. They are all pretty much stocked the same , more or less. Polite enough service. Had neither product I came for. Looks like Amazon carries it , and for slightly less. Home Depot is good for bargains. Appliances, forget it. It's a miss and another miss. They have large delayed delivery times. More than 15 days. When they do deliver ;most likely the items will be damaged in one way or another. So I won't be using them again for appliances. I rather pay slightly more for a better overall experience on that. They are good for many items, and some items, not. I believe a 3 rating is most appropriate. They are in a very good location. They have a modern and nice Burger King, in the front of the store. Located on the West side of LaGrange Road. LA Fitness East side of Street. Don Javi's has amazing Tortas & Tacos up North on Lagrange a few blocks. read more

Terrible customer service. I walked in asking if they had an item in stock, the nice young lady said no but told me I can place an order at customer service to have it shipped. Went to place the order and the woman at the counter seemed bothered as to why I was placing my order there and not via phone. Instead of assisting she was deterring me away from placing my order there. My boyfriend was also delivering mulch and the woman in the receiving office was being hostile. After reading a couple reviews it does seem like this particular store struggles with their customer service. I ended not placing my order there. read more

I checked prices with competitors in Home Depot have the best value and everything in stock that I needed when I pulled up I checked in and my order was out into my car within five minutes. TLDR: Half the size and inventory of normal Home Depots and always busy. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the building was the lack of inventory. I thought something was wrong because I have been in THD all over the country. I asked a store person and he explained that this store has half of the SKUs of normal stores and isn't supposed to be there. I would check to see what they have online before you go there. I rented a pick up truck for less than 75 minutes. The fuel level according to the paperwork at the start of the rental was full. However, as the photo clearly shows, the fuel level is at 3/4 of a tank. After fueling the truck for $27, after only 8 miles of use, they would not give me any credit whatsoever for having bought fuel for their incompetent associates. However, had I not fueled the truck, they would've gladly charged me over $6 per gallon for them to NOT fill it up and rip off someone else in the future. Very unprofessional! read more

About a year ago I called them to inquire how much they would charge to install a $450 water heater. $2,000 was their price. It would have been a drop-in replacement, taking about an hour. Went in last week to look at black stainless ranges and actually impulse bought one even though I couldn't get any help for about 20 minutes. Went in today to buy $750 dishwasher and again no help, Took my business across the lot to Best Buy and received help right away and great employees. My husband and I came to for some shelves for my office! We didn't really have an exact idea of what color and size we wanted but wanted to come in and browse around. The store was nicely organized and clean throughout. We found the shelving aisle real quick (after taking a slight Christmas decorations pit stop) and didn't even need to ask anyone for help. This store can be a bit overwhelming something because of how many different options they have but we wanted to look at everything. They unfortunately didn't have the medium wood color I was searching for but they had a grey brown color that was my next choice. The had solid black and white colors also. The have a bunch of different sizing options for shelves that really surprised me. We choose the 12x36 because it fit perfectly for the space. Best part? Each shelf was only $4.04!! That's insane compared to online store pricing. Their self checkout was also one of the easiest, fastest self checkouts we've ever used. It was really responsive and the hand scanner made me feel like a professional cashier- ha! We'll be doing some future small house renovations and would be happy to come back here for more goodies. read more

I was accused of stealing when I was leaving the store with delivery items when all items clearly had a tag stating it was a delivery.

This place is a hazard. Over packed, hard to maneuver your cart, parking is tight even for a beetle or smart car nowadays. Staff is over exhausted from what I assume the good life. Not a great experience for the doer. read more

But I just left this home depot, And there was 4 people cashiers just standing away from their registers across the aisle chatting and laughing which is fine for maybe a second couple seconds. I don't know how things are rin at home depot, but if I were just standing around doing nothing while getting paid by the hour , I would definitely be getting bitched at. I purchased a tool box from the store a few days before todays wonderful experience, The first tool box I purchased was defective. After Calling and speaking to the assistant manager Gus, who told me to come on and he would take care of it, My tools were locked inside the box. Gus had met me at the door and helped me remove the box from my truck. After prying it open and helping me box up my tools, he discounted a better toolbox and refunded the first one with no fuss. I have worked in sales and I have to say I was blown away by the service I received. Highly recommend the assistant manager Gus. read more

Since I spend so much money repairing homes at Home Depot I decided to order a refrigerator from them. I needed it by Christmas so I made sure I had plenty of time by ordering on Dec 7. Their first delivery attempt was on schedule and on time on 12/13/2022. But, the Home Depot delivery company damaged the back panel getting it off the truck. The delivery folks advised just getting a replacement and it would be here in 3-4 days. 2 days later after not getting any confirmation I called Home Depot and they said it would be 12/23! Obviously, this was not helpful and a lot of labor on my part to get any info. I called 3 more times to make sure the delivery was on time. They even called me on the evening of 12/22 to confirm and I said we'd be ready. On the morning of 12/23 they canceled the delivery and move it to 12/27. I called and talked to 9 different people and no one was willing to try and help. So - my Christmas plans as a host for 18 people were severely impacted. I canceled the order and ordered from Best Buy. for delivery on 12/27. I've had problems with home depot services before scheduling carpet installs too.. Basically, if you are not buying it in the store - do not use them - they are terrible. read more

Can't believe what a mess up the measurements were for my countertops, and all the hidden fees that no one tells you about such as delivery and viewing your material. Not as much as an apology for taking the wrong measurements. 10' plus 16" does Not equal 115 inches!!!! Nothing that I purchased in cabinets equals 115 inches, not sure where that measurement came from, I always had two pieces of countertop material, John. I can't believe you messed up my measurement by over 8 square Feet. I had shown you a drawing!!! Your lack of interest in my project when I had the appointment was very evident when I told you I was purchasing cabinets elsewhere. My order was just under $1600 and with the incorrect measurements and two additional fees it would've been almost 50% more. Then the nerve to still want to charge me for my measurement appointment when I canceled the order. In addition to my countertop order, my sales person placed an order for my sink online Never asking me where I wanted it delivered. Since I don't like large items delivered to my house because I live on a semi busy street. I would have had it delivered to the store. When I made the comment about it possibly becoming missing, he casually said I could make a claim with the carrier. So disappointed. #homedepot read more

*** WARNING *** - Home Depot has no concept of Customer Service! I've had a terrible experience with Home Depot and GS Floor Designs. Unwary customers are forced to do business with a company called GS Floor Designs if they order flooring and other types of installations from Home Depot in the Chicagoland area. It appears GS doesn't employ any installers of their own but subcontracts to various installers in the area. I ordered carpeting from Home Depot Countryside, IL for my condo unit. GS Floor Design's installer installed the carpet and during the process drove a nail through a water pipe in the floor causing a leak and water damage to the unit below. The installer said he only drove one nail into the floor and it was far away from the one in the pipe so the nail must have been in the pipe already from the last installation (installed by Home Depot in 2006!). He pulled the carpet back in an area far away from the leak, said "see no leak" and left fast saying he needed to get to another appointment. His boss (Geraldo) came out later and pointed out other nails that his employee nailed into the floor all around the one that went through the pipe. But denied that his installer put the one through the pipe. Even though the nail looked exactly like the others he nailed in. So obviously the installer lied. His own boss proved him a liar by pointing out the other nails he put in (hmmm...not just one after all!). Nicole Crutchfield (VP of Operations at GS) sent denial letters to me and the owner of the unit below containing lies about the state of the floor saying "...the installer would not have been able to nail into it even if he wanted to.". Bottom line - GS backed the lying installer and denied any responsibility. When I asked Crutchfield for Geraldo's last name, company name and phone number, she said they don't give out that information. There's a red flag right there. I opened a claim with Home Depot and a claim adjuster named Garrett Kaplan from Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc (Home Depot's Liability company) was assigned. Kaplan told me on the phone that his "investigation" was still open after he had already sent a denial letter dated 2 days before we spoke. More lies. Kaplan backed the lying installer and GS and denied any responsibility for the damage. Home Depot (through Kaplan) said "...the installation was completed in accordance with industry standards...". Gee, I didn't know damaging a pipe and causing water damage during an installation was an industry standard! I wish I would have seen all the bad reviews GS has gotten on Yelp.com before the carpet was installed. I would have cancelled my Home Depot order and taken my business elsewhere. Thanks for saddling me with the pipe repair and water damage bills Home Depot! Aside from the leak, the installation itself wasn't a very professional job. GS probably hired Geraldo and his crew from the Home Depot parking lot the morning of the installation. I used to be a loyal customer of Home Depot, but after witnessing their willingness to lie and deny to avoid what is ultimately their responsibility, I will never spend another cent at a Home Depot. You should be ashamed Home Depot. You are no better than the company you hire to install your products. Since you align your company with an untrustworthy company like GS Floor Design, you are untrustworthy yourself. Keep spoon-feeding GS customers and you will keep getting bad outcomes. You could have done right by me, but chose not to. I feel bad for future Home Depot/GS customers. I hope my experience will save other unsuspecting Home Depot shoppers from a similar fate. My advice is don't use Home Depot to install anything for you. Use a mom and pop store. One that cares about customer satisfaction and wants to do what's right. Check Yelp reviews!! read more

Came here today to pick up some dirt to start patching a friends grass for them. The friendly woman at the door was kind and courteous to help show me where to go. The lines aren't that bad either with wait times but the few things that disgruntled me was that the shopping carts are scattered all over the place I haven't even walked in the place yet and there's a shopping cart heading for this parked Mercedes Benz and there was a manager yelling at a nervous employee about how they're short staffed and needed her to go to the Home and Garden department while I was in line. read more

I've wasted several hours at this point in this building trying to purchase a tool chest. The employees have zero stock awareness and zero empathy towards customers and experience. After the third trip where we once again were sent the wrong time we were told to order online for shipping to home. When we tried to do that we were told we would need to pay $100 for shipping. No accommodation for the three negative experiences, no empathy or compensation for loss of time, just a flat answer by an employee who seemed to think they were doing us a favor. read more

They will take your money, charge your card, but your order will hang as "Processing" indefinitely (mine is going on 3 weeks now). You can't cancel, there's no one you can contact. On 5 different occasions in the last week I have gone in looking for something specific and all 5 of those times have left irritated. The sales associates aren't educated on the where certain items are and instead of finding an associate who knows, they guess where something is and blindly send me to it in a wild goose chase. That's when and if I find someone; was there yesterday at 5 and there was no associate to be found. Once I did find someone and asked for help, he stated that he's not able to help me or guide me to that department... wth is that?! I rented a sod roller from Larry in tool rental at 7:31 and proceeded back to my home. Upon trying to fill the roller with water I immediately noticed a drain plug was missing. I tried to use the roller for a couple minutes but without both drain plugs it was clearly futile. I got back in my car and returned the tool to Home Depot and informed them that it was missing a drain plug and was unusable. I had the tool out for no more than 45 minutes including my drive to and from my home. I requested a rain check (to return and have my rental honored the following day) for my tool rental as I would have been unable to complete the work that night due to the inconvenience. The manager insisted that I still pay for half the tool rental despite the tool being unusable and suggested that he would be within his rights to charge me for the missing drain plug. I informed him that I didn't believe we were seeing eye to eye and decided to pay for half the tool rental rather than push the issue and be faced with additional charges. If I need to use their services in the future I will be sure that the tool rental associate goes over all of the pieces with me at the time of rental as I believe that my tool was missing a drain plug at the time of rental. I paid money and received no value in return. read more

I never would have thought that I could have so much fun at Home Depot! I have certainly been there on numerous occasions to purchase anything from sandpaper to potting soil. But the 'cabinet day' gave me new love for the place. The man & I had stopped in on a Sunday to pick up some tile samples & browse around for ideas, when we found ourselves in the cabinet section. When we finally left 2 hours later, we had officially redesigned the layout of the kitchen, courtesy of Tom (the fabulous custom kitchen master). While obviously we did have to wait for the order to be custom-made, we did get to leave w/a fabulous CAD drawing of the new layout. All said & done, they arrived just as scheduled, fit perfectly and are beautiful! I highly recommend heading out to this location for an extremely knowledgeable staff & terrific service. read more

In my line of work I'm usually in an HD daily. I do like this one. It's a smaller one and they have tool rental. Which I use quite often. Staff here is really nice and always helpful. Staff here is really more personable than other HD's I have visited. One thing I did notice is that the prices here are better than the store in Broadview. I am assuming the reason is because there is a Menards not far from this location. Keep up the good work. Cheers! read more

I am beyond thrilled with the service I received at the Countryside Home Depot. When my husband died, 18 months ago, I was much more equipped to run a dishwasher or a vacuum than any snow blower, lawn mower, or any power tools. My husband had a Ryobi stick and all the attachments. I had no clue how to make this "thingie" work. I went to Home Depot thinking they could send it to be repaired (I couldn't start it, so I figured it was broken). I left with a working Ryobi and instructions on how to start it. I went home and attached the cultivator, churned up the garden and felt like I really accomplished something. I know my husband is looking down with a smile on his face. I've always received fast and friendly service at this Home Depot location. I was there Thanksgiving weekend to buy holiday decorations and the lighted snowman I wanted was sold out. The manager let me buy the display model and I got 10% off. I was there today, Thursday, December 10th and though I've always noticed the staff was pleasant, they were extra pleasant today. Every employee in an orange apron who passed me smiled and asked how I was today. I was quite flabbergasted, but I figure it was some holiday directive. More retailers should follow this example, its nice to get a sense of being appreciated when you patronize a business. read more

I'm a Menard's girl, for most things, but Home Depot KILLS menards when it comes to paint selection. Highly recommend this store for your painting needs! The staff has always been really helpful to me when I come in, especially with my lack of home-repair handiness... Example: "So my new washer/dryer does not have a way to ventilate itself... now what??" In that case they provided me with the perfect option- a water vent system that was just a few dollars and has basically saved my life! I definitely think they train their employees well, especially on how to zone in on people with that confused look on their face. I can wander aimlessly if I'd like, but I've always been able to find amazing help here. Prices are fair and competitive. read more

Home Depot is overwhelming to me, and I try to avoid the store. However, I just wanted to look at some plants, and they seemed to have a huge selection set up outdoors, spilling into the parking lot. I thought it would be easy to just browse this area, an not have to actually go into the store. That didn't happen, but I didn't leave the garden section once inside. I was asked if I needed help by a roaming associate, which was nice. I was really just looking for stuff to put on my balcony, not really sure what I wanted. The selection was great, but since I have no idea about plants, I was a bit lost. I ended up putting random stuff in my cart, and then removing everything and walking out of the store.
