Dad moved and so we're making or third (fourth?) stop at a home supplies store because he has things but can't currently find them. We stopped in here and did manage to find most of what we needed. A flag pole holder (not in a great location, but the THD app pointed us to the right spot) and a new flapper for the toilet. Not much staff working on this Tuesday afternoon. The checkout line was not as well organized as I have seen in other stores but the young lady who did ring up our purchase was pleasant and efficient once we got to the head of the queue. The entrance to this parking lot is a little odd. If you're on Atlantic, you need to make the turn *before* you spot the sign otherwise, you're past it and behind the store. I've been purchasing materials and supplies from Home Depot since 1988 in Philadelphia. So I go back a long time with them. Most of my interactions with the employees there are excellent but as always, and as the saying goes, one rotten apple poisons the whole barrel. This was the case last week. I visited this Home Depot and spent $4700 in half an hour. I had a question a checkout about whether or not it was possible to add the extended warranty after we left the store, for 2 appliances that we did not purchase the warranty for yet. The person I asked would not let me finish my sentence. He kept talking over me and trying to guess what I was going to say. This deteriorated into a verbal altercation when he cursed me and dismissed me. Personally, I think Home Depot should get rid of this person but I'm sure they did not. He seemed like he was going to be violent at any moment. I will consider buying from other suppliers before Home Depot because of the interaction with this imbecile who is not only rude and unprofessional but outright threatening and using profanity directly to my face. I promised to post this photo and this review before I left Home Depot. The manager Matt reached out to me and told me that they had taken care of this within the store. I know that if he is still working there, nothing was taken care of. So it doesn't matter how long you've been working with this company and how much money you drop there, they do not see this type of psychotic behavior as an infraction. I came to this Home Depot in west Delray on June 11th looking for a specific brand refrigerator since mine stopped working after three years! So for 4 days I had no refrigerator and a loss of $150.00+ dollars in food. I spoke to the older man with gray hair and glasses who was in appliances. They didn't have what I was looking for on the floor, so he checked the computer and stated he didn't see this particular make available. He then stated delivery wouldn't be until mid- July anyway. I left and went home to check Home Depot in East Delray on my computer and found the refrigerator I was looking to buy. I called Home Depot in East Delray and spoke to a nice woman, Diane, who stated the computer showed this refrigerator at the warehouse. I asked when it can be delivered and she said it can be delivered on JUNE 15th. Wow! A big difference from what the guy told me at the west Delray Home Depot. I guess he didn't care if he sold anything that day or was just lazy. I took delivery of my new refrigerator today. I'm so happy and I didn't have to wait a month. I'm glad I checked the HD site myself. I got a caring, helpful lady who took the time to honestly help me with what I was looking for. God bless you Diane! My uncle told Home Depot that their white Dap Kwik Seal latex caulk dries to a flat finish as opposed to the hi gloss white as it always did and has a shelf life in the tube of about a month. They were not aware of this and did not seem to want to take a proactive approach to see if they could get the issue resolved. It looks like Dap got stuck with a bad batch and would rather stick the customer with the loss rather then dump it and produce a quality product as they have in the past. As much as I dislike writing one star reviews, sometimes it must be done. Stopped in here to make a few keys. I thought this would be an easy and quick trip. I was so wrong. We waited fifteen minutes for Zack to make an appearance. He was paged three times and we were about to leave and go to Lowe's at the exact time he showed up. We purchased two keys and only one works. Is it worth the $3.99 we paid for the key to go back? Absolutely not. The floor was unorganized and dirty. The employees we encountered were not helpful and had a lackadaisical attitude. The one employee who tried to help us was not able to use the key machine. His name is Neil and he truly wanted to help. Tomorrow I will go to Lowe's and have them make me a key. No big deal. I'm a firm believer that if a store has a strong management team, their staff will be motivated to create a positive shopping experience for their customers. If the Home Depot corporate people take their social media reviews seriously, I do hope they step in and give the store managers the training they so badly need. I will not be back to this store. Definitely don't like this Home Depot. Do a curbside pickup literally at any other location. I checked in, double checked that I checked in, then waited 45 mins before calling to ask what was up. Apparently they didn't get my checkin until I gave my order number. The rep said, oh yea there it is, sorry about that... I'll bring it right out. I waited another 15 mins for the rep to come out who was unable to lift the package, then wandered the parking lot to find someone to help. Total time spent 60+ mins... I ordered paint online twice this month for a project I was working on. after finally completing the prep and primer coat, I open up the primary color...and it's just white paint. they hadn't bothered to make the color I ordered. so I go back to the store and get that replaced. I finished painting all the main walls and now I am on to the accent wall. Had a delay in my order for flooring and the store could. It tell me when the balance of the product would be in. It jeopardized my losing my contractor to another job which would have left me high and dry on my remodel. Then along came Blake Coller, one of the managers at the location. Without going into detail, he made it all right with me and the flooring and my contractor was able to keep working uninterrupted. I was in the store today and was able to find everything I needed. A store employee was helpful pointing me in the right direction. The reason for the one star review was I saw a couple pushing a shopping cart with two dogs sitting in it. The couple didn't appear to be blind nor disabled. The dogs were cleary pets. Apparently the store manger Kevin Lent is unaware of the ADA policy in regards to service animals. Here it is. The following is taken from the ADA website. Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. The last line says it all comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. Shame on the store manager and the employees for allowing this to happen. Waited a week for delivery and then marlon from Ralph's trucking, the party that Home Depot subs it's deliveries out to refused to deliver to my second floor Coach house. They drive away at sight of the stairs. Reschedule for a week later and they said the fridge was not on the truck. Lazy ass delivery men refuse to deliver up the stairs one story. Never again. Home Depot cancelled my order and bought same fridge from Rosners. They delivered, climbed up one flight of stairs and got the job done. Home Depot is worst place to buy an appliance from. I recently went to this Home Depot because my dishwasher died and needed to be replaced. Since I live in a rental and the landlord was paying for the replacement, I wasn't going to get anything too fancy. I went to Home Depot and spoke to an employee in the appliance department. His advice pretty much amounted to they don't keep any dishwashers in stock and I would be better off just going to Home Depot's website. I tried to ask him a few questions regarding models, sizes, etc. but he appeared to have little interest in being helpful. I did ultimately buy a new Whirlpool from the Home Depot website but it was in spite of not due to the service I received at this store. That being said, this is probably a pretty typical Home Depot with the usual large selection of items. We had much difficulty finding staff to help us. After searching on our own, without success, we finally ran into an employee who was unable to help us. Instead of him calling for assistance from another department or bringing us over to someone else who could answer our questions, he just walked away. Finally, we ran into an employee who did in fact help us search for what we needed (electrical supply), but the store was out of it. Our suggestion is that there should be visible staff ready to assist customers in their needs. read more

Wanted to shop for a refrigerator and saw a floor model on sale, but wanted to ask about the sign that say additional discounts and delivery and warranty and such, typical shopping questions. I flag down an associate and she said she will get someone to help me. A man by the name of Ken showed up and said whatever on the sticker is the price and walked away. I couldn't ask anything he walked away so fast. Took me five minutes to find him then he didn't really want to help me. I talked with another associate and asked to speak with the manager and he said Ken is the manager. So I went back to talk with him and he told me that I didn't ask him any questions, but he walked away so fast that I didn't have a chance. Then he claimed that he had to take a phone call. We spoke for a little bit and he said he had to take a phone call and walked away again. Unbelievable for the rude and bad customer service. I will complain to another manager tomorrow morning but doubt that anything will happen. Home Depot missed a potential sale for a refrigerator, but I guess they're so big they probably wont' miss it. But wanted to let folks know that Home Depots customer service is horrible especially at this store and if I can find similar items elsewhere than they will get my business. The morning of the delivery I receive no calls from the delivery company. I cleared my whole day waiting for this appliance to be delivered. They called my gate and surveillance shows them coming through. I waited and waited and waited and nobody came to my door. I called the customer service line and they were literally no help. They could not give me a new delivery date until they load off the appliance back into the warehouse and then they will give me a call to reschedule. They never gave me a call in the first place to deliver my appliances. You'd be better off going absolutely anywhere else. read more

I tried to order a full kitchen with cabinets, countertop, appliances, and installation. It took a week to get an appointment, then the salesperson was frequently unavailable, no one answers phones there, and when she finally gave me a design, there was no pricing for the cabinets or countertops. When the countertops got priced out it was not for my selection. Complete incompetence. I wasted almost two months trying to buy a kitchen and finally had to cancel the order because they told me I need a permit that would take 10 weeks on top of the lead time.. This should have been done at the onset.. I also could not find an appliance salesperson to work with, and everything is "online." why do I need a kitchen designer if I have to shop and purchase online?
