I purchased a Echo leaf blower a few years ago and recently it just stopped running and would not crank. I made sure I had fuel and replaced the spark plug but it still would not start. I took it to Ace Hardware Douglasville but they only work on brands they sell. I called home depot for help and the lady said they do not service nor have a list of local shops to recommend. As a religious Ryobi user, I will no longer purchase any Ryobi products after this experience. Store number 0413 Douglasville was no help. As well as calling corporate and speaking with Sergio 86184. I bought this generator and put it together to only spit out gas at an alarming rate. After reading the reviews and seeing this is common problem. I'm unsure of why Ryobi or Home Depot would continue to sell this faulty product. read more

Hey, please train your managers better in politeness and listening before saying, "No, I won't do that". "Nate" the manager at HomeDepot Douglasville, GA was no help as I explained to him my dilemma of misplacing the "activation code" on original packing of the 5440D MasterLock, that I've purchased over a year ago. "Nate" continued to shake his head in a "no motion" before I could even completely explain myself or finish my sentences. How inconsiderate! Nate states, "I never of heard this problem before, so I can't help you". Nate eventually declares, "Well... I need to see some proof of purchase...or something". Seeming unpersuasive in his statement, I (fortunately) verified his claim before I left the store to retrieve proof. I replied, "Ok, cool so if I run home and bring you proof, you will call MasterLock so I can get the activation code? A now surprised Nate then gives me the run-around after I obliged to his sensical request and says (with his hands up in the air at shoulder level in a defensive "your problem isn't mine" manner), "Well, I am [emphasizing "I am"] not going to call Master Lock, because I haven't heard of this before". What? Variance in messages?! With that being said, the cashier I spoke to initially, while unknowledgeable of a solution to my (apparently unicorn-like bizarre) circumstance, was still very courteous and empathetic in tone and actions while she called for another manager for me to speak with when asked. She also continued to check-in on me and reassured me a manager is coming after the longer time it took for a manager to arrive. I wish I could give her shoutout! Unfortunately this second manger also says he "hasn't heard of this circumstance before" and couldn't help; but was at least more polite than Nate. Home Depot, train your employees to be proactive in problem solving and (at least, superficial) concernment of customer issues. I was essentially told by both managers, "because they haven't heard of this customer issue before, it's not ACTUALLY a true customer issue". A comical company. I purchase a storm door for the Back door on my newly built house. Very disappointed 1. I paid for them to come for 10 mins to measure both doors front and back 5/10/2022. 2.June 21, 2022 screen Door was I stalled, that same week. It rain and in the door , I have been contacting douglasville Home Depot by phone and went in store 3 times . no one had contacted me or respond to my calls .the door also holds heat between storm door and reg door . I was told today by home-depot Employee that this could damage my frame. but she didn't say this when I purchase the door . I guess making a sell at yes to the consumer is Home Depot's model. What can I say. It's a Home Depot. Nothing stands out at this location. I like HD better than Lowe's but I still don't get the thril in coming into this Men's Version of a Shoe Store! I like when they have items on sale here. I like the fact that just about every employee asks you if they can help you. An indication to me that they either pay employees well or they get great Stock options! FYI Ladies - This place is full of men very early in the mornings and very late in the evenings. Friendly, helpful employees, easy to read/follow signage, very organized and clean, one downfall is it's kind of pricey; but it feels like they are worth every penny due to the care of the presentation of the store and it's products. The only thing I can say is I never even go to Lowe's because Home Depot never lets me down. I think we need a better selection of certain things but overall the selection is good, the plants, shrubs and flowers are well kept and watered. The overall aesthetic of the store pleases me and makes me want to be a better homeowner and a master gardener. I am a new homeowner so I am having a love affair with everything the Home Depot has to offer. There is also some very nice furniture on the Hoke Depot website, curtains and other accessories are unique and better than some options you may find at a local Walmart or target. Home Depot is an overall great store. The selection is diverse and the prices are really good. They also offer tool rental and truck rentals. What sets Home Depot apart for me is the fact they offer free workshops for people wanting to learn how to do DIY projects at home, and activities for the kiddies. The layout is also pretty easy to manuever. I have found a few items online which listed the aisle and row it could be found in store. Very Ikea'ish. read more

However, I visited the garden center and the woman marking down the plants was very disgruntled. This was not the first time I have encountered her during a shopping trip to Home Depot and she was disgruntled and rude that day as well. I walked up to a shelves of plants that were marked down and she quickly said that the area was off limits and was her work area and pointed to an area to the back of the store where other plants were reduced that I had already looked at. I told her that I was sorry to bother her and walked off. She does this all the time and has very poor customer service skills. How can a work area be on the sales floor? I didn't ask her any questions but still she seem very bothered by the fact that I was looking at some old dried up plants she was marking down to see if I wanted to purchase any. This place (HD as a whole, not just this location) is HUGE and very intimidating for a woman like myself who doesn't know the first thing about building stuff or other projects. There have been a few times I had to go there and it is almost like ikea where you go to pick your item (row x shelf x) but not quite as easy. Also, there is a lot of stuff here that I couldn't even begin to know what it is so there was an item my husband sent me to get and i "womansplained" it to the guy at the front who kept using technical terms. In the end I got what I needed but it was confusing. I like that they have tool and truck rental available and activities for the kids. Another location did Easter Egg hunt but this one hadnt, they do build workshops which are fun! read more

I've had nothing but AWFUL service at this Home Depot. They've mixed up orders, delivery times, set-up and assembly time, etc. It has happened to me 3 times for grill assembly and flooring. Both were paid for and they couldn't uphold their end of the deal. I'm not sure it's incompetence or poorly trained associates. There is no accountability for their mistakes and no one seems to care about the customers. When you call them, expect to be on hold for at least an hour. Once you get to speak to someone, there is nothing but more confusion and cluelessness. Prepare to be frustrated. This location is a HUGE disappointment. My advice is try another location or go someplace else. read more

Not happy about my latest visit to this location. I was there to purchase a lawn mower and, upon finding the one I wanted, requested some assistance with getting it off the shelf. After waiting a few minutes for Customer Service to page someone, I was finally greeted by a somewhat surly, very geriatric hippie. "Did they seriously send him," my wife inquired. "We'd be better off with you having ME lift it by myself!" Jerry Garcia's less-famous brother made it clear to me that he wasn't going to even attempt to get the lawn mower down for us (which was fine with me because I wasn't in the mood to witness a tragedy on this particular evening). He then called for much younger backup, who grabbed the mower (shipping box and all) with his bare hands and placed it on the cart. I was impressed and annoyed at the same time. Why the heck didn't they just send him in the first place? We make it to the register, complete the purchase and then request assistance with getting the mower to our vehicle. Here's where it got interesting... Hercules from earlier was also our cashier. Guess he was done lifting heavy stuff for the day because I heard him loudly and clearly request help for us over the loudspeaker. Three times. He then went back to ringing up other customers as we began today's edition of The Waiting Game. We waited a while, and it started looking like we would be loading this thing ourselves. I went outside, walked to the car (slowly) and then pulled the car up to the door, figuring that enough time had passed for our help to arrive. When I went back inside and saw my wife still standing by the cart with the lawn mower on it looking less than thrilled, I knew we were on our own. Here's where it got even MORE interesting... Another Home Depot employee walked up to us as my bad-back-having-disabled-veteran wife and I attempted to get the mower into our car and asked if we were ok. I thought maybe he was the help that we had been waiting for inside. I told him that we were okay for the most part but that we would appreciate (at the very least) some rope to tie the box down. He pointed down to the end of the sidewalk: "there's some in that orange spool over there", and walked away. All we could do was laugh. read more

I purchased a front door $3,000.00+ and the manufacturer shipped it with a cracked frame and giant gouge in the side of the door. It wasn't seen until the old door was already out so it had to be installed. The installers were GREAT! But the Douglasville store was NOT. I called immediately and after more than a week of calling and going in I finally reached the person that handles damages. She literally sat on the phone just repeatedly saying "what do you want". I kept asking what the options were and what they could offer to do. Finally she offered to give me $180 to KEEP a BUSTED $3,000 door! Are you kidding me????? So almost a week later with multiple trips to see the managers, they ordered a new door. I'm at 3 months since ordering and it just came in yesterday to the store. We actually had the back door installed at the same time. I haven't been able to have the painter come to paint the doors while waiting on the new front door. We had the floors pulled out of the landings a few days before the install. The lower landing was tiled two days before install and we haven't been able to lay the entry floor because we were waiting on the new door. Now the lower level tiles are popping up because we couldn't finish it and grout them without finishing the upper landing first. It took 6? 7? Weeks to get a new door when the original was 2? Weeks???? This project has caused all other projects to be delayed and damaged. We planned early as we hosted a huge party at our house - last weekend. It was great to have a huge party at our house inside/outside with primed doors and a busted door ... and plywood floors and ungrounded floors that started falling apart. I regret also buying a $1200 splitter at this store a few months ago. I should have spent that money down the street. I have NEVER received a single proactive call from this store about the status. Even when I went in at least 5 times to talk to managers - they never called me back. The last time I went in the assistant manager asked what else they were doing for us. We just laughed and said absolutely nothing else has been offered to us for this horrible service. Then I called two days ago and asked to leave a message for the head store manager Jennifer. I was very detailed about the situation and my frustration. I told them I have already talked to EVERYONE else at that store and I only want to talk to her. She never called. She told the door lady to call me. But she didn't have anything to tell me that I didn't already know. And she didn't offer to do anything else. She couldn't even apologize for how long this has taken and how bad the service has been. Shameful. This is one of our worst retail experiences ever. The employee that processed our order for the door was awesome. The installers superb....I will request them for the replacement. But everyone else that we've talked to at the store including managers - useless and don't care that the $3800 (after sale/discounts) we spent on these doors has been a horrible experience. We were warned to not go to the other local store to order doors - but I don't think they could have done any worse. Completely disappointed in this store and this order. When someone has a problem and it is escalated to wanting the person in charge - don't ignore them and pawn it off. April 14, 2016 I wanted you to know that I received a very disappointing service from one of your contractors (allied fence). Here is a brief summary of events... * On April 2nd called the Home depot to schedule for someone to provide fencing proposal (material and installation) for my home. * On April 7 John from allied fence called and scheduled to come out, survey the property and provide a proposal for Tuesday April 12, 2016. * To my dismay, he was no show and I decided to find out and text him ...I was very disappointed to the uncaring, unprofessional and not interested in your business attitude I received as illustrated in the following text communication with John. * Me: John...I'm not sure what happen to this appointment? * John: Sorry. I must have not put it on my schedule. I was in the area all day and would have been happy to meet you. Would you like to reschedule ? * Me: Tomorrow same time? * John: Next week. * Me: I need to take care of it this week. Disregard. * Ok. I enjoy shopping at Home Depot and I am not one to just go away when I receive unacceptable service for my hard earned dollar. I would like you and now your potential customers to know that you have one disappointed customer here. If I receive an adequate response ( three days and counting) I may consider Home Depot again. My experience yesterday with the garden center cashier, Derinda, was one of the worst! Her attitude was less than desirable, simply for asking for help. I stupidly thought, while in a bit of a rush, that I could pop in, grab the couple items I needed and then leave. But I was having trouble finding what I was looking for, so I asked the cashier if she could help or call me someone to help. I waited 10 minutes before finally going back to her and saying no one had come, maybe she could answer my question. (Esp. since during that time, she checked out only two customers and spent the rest of the time pacing around the checkout with her hands behind her back.) She said the guy that works in that dept was helping someone else and she couldn't help me because, she is "just a cashier". So I made a comment, "It would be nice if they could train you guys to be a little bit more knowledgeable in the dept you are working in so you can answer some questions when no one else seems available." She replied, "No, Ma'am. I'm just a cashier!" I responded, "But this is the dept you are in and you can't help me at all?", "No, ma'am, I'm just a cashier, that is my dept!" But this time with a bit more attitude. So I told her there was no need to get an attitude with me for asking for help. She told me I was the one with the attitude. (In my 17 years in Customer service, that is never the way to address a customer) So I told her I wanted to speak with her manager. She told me I had to go find them myself. I said, "No, you have a phone right there, you can't page a manager?" So she went over to call the manager. While she is doing this, the gentleman who works in the garden center came over and I finally got an answer to my question, when I was done, the cashier continued to check me out, and I asked after if a manager was on the way. "No, you'll have to go find them up front, they're busy!" I did not have the time or patience at that point to chase down a manager. A cashier should not speak to or treat a customer that way, and I'll definitely be in touch with management over this situation! read more

Worse customer service ever!!!! I went to purchase a refrigerator and there was no one in the area to help. Several employees were just standing around talking about what they had done over the weekend. I stopped someone asked if they could have someone come to the department to assist me. Waited for almost 15 minutes nothing. Finally I stopped an employee who walked by and told him I would love to purchase a refrigerator but no one would help me. His comment was "Yeah, sometimes things are like that" I then told him if he didn't want to help me, I would be more than happy to take my business elsewhere. His reply "Well, guess we are busy" I then told him I would love to talk to a manager. He then just walked off. About 5 minutes later I heard over the intercom, that a customer needed assistance in the appliance department. A guy came over who was absolutely awesome. I explained what had happened and he kept apologizing for the horrible service. He then put the refrigerator on a cart and walked me to the registers which were huge lines because guess what only 4 were open. He apologized again and then proceeded to check my out himself. On 8/13/14, I ordered and paid for two dual-flush toilets for installation on 8/18/14. Their plumber called on 8/18/14 @ 2:30 p.m., my appointment was between 1 and 4 p.m. to inform me that Home Depot sold my toilets and wanted to give me a SHORTER toilet! To them that was considered an upgrade! NOT!!! Needless to say, HD did not have my toilets for TWO WEEKS. As I was driving towards HD yesterday 8/26/14, the plumber called to inform me that the toilets were in, NOT Home Depot!!!! Though the store manager gave me a full refund in CASH no less (their machines couldn't put the credit back onto my cc) I now have to go to the bank and make a deposit and I haven't received a thing for my loss time at work or the inconvenience of waiting TWO WEEKS for prepaid toilets!!!! By far, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth with Home Depot and I am not a happy with their level of customer service!!!!! read more
