I refuse to shop here. There is no one to help locate items, and it is all self checkout

My Husband and I were shopping around local businesses looking for flooring options for our hall…read moreand living room. We wanted to get rid of the carpet that was down (Contractors choice - home 5 years old) and were unsure if we wanted replacement carpet or some other type of flooring. The options too many to list. We stopped at Lowes and the Pergo flooring was an immediate "I like that". We then spotted a design of the flooring and made our choice. I cannot think of or mention anything negative about the flooring department. The salesman mentioned a measurer needed to come to my home for a price of $35.00 but that cost would come off the total price within 1 year of purchase. Lowes was then notified by the measurer of how much material was needed. My husband and I returned to the store to finalize the pattern and underlayment. We mentioned that there was carpet currently on the floor and for an additional price the installers could rip it out. We decided to rip it out ourselves. We were notified the flooring would take approximately 3 weeks to come in. (That was fine - no rush was needed). The salesman then added if we wanted the flooring delivered to our home there was an additional fee. We chose to rent a Lowes truck for 1 hour. the store employee helped load the truck. We were contacted within a week about installation and make an appointment for this. We were cautious about store hired installers having had a negative experience with Home Depot installers in NJ. Once again I have NO complaints! Four men came for the installation (1 a foreman) the job was completed with 6 hours. When they left they removed the old carpet we ripped up. They cleaned up afterwards, except for my new floor you could tell no one had been there. Excellent Service, Professional, Caring...really looking forward to working with them again!

This store never has what they have listed in store online. On two occasions this has happened…read more Both times I find the items cheaper at Home Depot. Went there to get a few pieces of wood & waited for quite some time before I was told their saw broke. The store sells saws so go get one. Anyway I would recommend Home Depot because Lowe's needs to do better.

The delivery men dropped off a gas stove but were unable to install it until I had certain work…read moredone regarding a shut-off valve. That was understandable. I was told to call customer service once the work was complete and the old stove was disconnected to schedule pick up of the old stove, since I had paid for removal of the old stove. So, I did as instructed and called; however, I have now called 3 times, waited up to 25 minutes per call and never did have a human pick up the phone. So as of right now, I have an old gas stove in my living room, and it looks like I will have to drive to the store to try to speak to someone in person regarding picking up the old stove and/or receiving a refund for the fee I was charged. Very frustrating.

We did NOT use it in 2024 because of my husband's health problems. I ONLY used it TWICE starting in May 2025. When I needed to mow last week (5/23/25) the pull cord stopped working and a cover on one of the front wheels was loose. It is guaranteed to start by the second pull of the starter cord. Not correct - it takes several puills I called Lowe's Service and was transferred to Black and Decker because it is still under manufacture's warrantee. It is a Craftsman mower, not made by Black and Decker. Unortunately because of the Memorial Day holiday everything was closed. I attempted to get service via Lowes website but kept getting an error message. On Tuesday I called Lowe's store and an assistant manager said she would help me and call back - she didn't. I again called Lowe's Service and learned the mower is under the Craftsman warranty for two years before the Lowe's Service starts and Craftsman is responsible. More recordings and extension choices. Then through Craftsman I had to select a local Craftsman repair dealer. More recordings and choices. I contacted a 'local dealer' (miles away) and was told to bring it in and it could take two weeks to process the claim. I have to load the lawn mower, take it to be repaired and pick it up. In the meantime the grass is growing with a new lawn mower sitting around. I will have to hire someone to cut my lawn. I am 76 years old and handicapped. How am I going to do this? What good is a Lowes Service contract with all this jumping through hoops?
