I purchased an LG refrigerator from this HD store and when it died it was out of warrantee because it was manufactured 2 years before I purchased it. Where the hell HD stored it that long is a mystery to me. After it quit working I called LG customer service and they told me the warranty was expired because it was so old it was out of warranty. LG customer service speaks perfect Korean and very poor english and after trying to do a reset many times which took an hour I gave up and removed about $1000 worth of spoiled food . I will never buy another appliance at Home Depot and god damn sure never buy another LG product. If you buy an LG make sure you are fluent in Korean because customer service speaks poor english. read more

I'm sorry but who runs out of ice melt when we had the worst snow storm we had in about 50 years? Yet they had a bunch of grills in stock. That is like running out of turkeys on Thanksgiving. do not buy a cub cadet lawn mower at home depot. it will be delivered in a box to be assembled. battery was upside down and needed to be replaced. if you get one at home depot , bring a battery tester with you. they have dead cells. steering column was almost impossible to connect. I purchased outside windows and doors from Home Depot. They had the best price and the quality of the product was as good as the higher end contractors. First of all the sale representative was out standing in helping me with the products. He had some good ideas and made the process go smoothly. He also did all the interactions with my condo association. The front door was installed today and the contractor spent nine hours on the installation. He was A meticulous craftsman and made sure everything was just perfect. He protected everything and when he left you never knew he was there. I am now waiting for my windows and patio doors to come and I will add to this review when they complete. read more

We stopped in on Saturday morning in search of tiles for the shower in our bathroom. Wayne was very helpful and informative in that section as he asked if we needed any help and offered his advice. He even called around other nearby stores to see if they had what we were looking for in stock, because this location didn't have exactly what we needed. Besides just him being helpful, as we were pushing around our carts of materials, we were offered help as well as a worker followed us to our vehicle in the parking lot to see if we wanted assistance unloading our purchase. I would have thought on a Saturday that they would have been very busy, which I noticed as we were leaving it started to be, but the workers here were more than ready to help us out without us having to seek them out to do so. The store is decently well kept and organized. Although, as we were glancing at toilets, I noticed a sign marked "New" next to an item we purchased almost two years ago, so that is a bit deceiving. read more

Out of all Home Depot's within a 20 mile radius of me, this one is by far my favorite. It's not because it's conveniently minutes from my home, but because of the customer service that I experience each time I visit. I've yet to run into someone who hasn't been helpful in some capacity or stops what they're currently doing to assist with an item, double check a price or help me calculate the possible cost. There's only been several times that I've found the tools or material to be way overpriced compared to the leading competitors, but that's okay. They also honor military discount, which really helps out! read more

Today, I once again left without buying much of what I originally went in for, because it took me so long to find the first few items I just didn't have any more time. When I finally did find a sales person she told me she'd be over soon but, "I'm only one person." When I went to another department I was waiting for help and an employee finally walked in and was immediately swarmed by people. I wonder how many people walk out with out finding what they want? I recently ordered replacement windows for my 100 year old house from them and received excellent service from Bob at the contractor desk as well as really nice windows that have all fit perfectly so far. I have to say, the manager of the store has done a great job of hiring and all departments seem to have a willing person to help out. I cant say this about many Home Depots. The people who work here are bad beyond belief. After a pregnant woman -- who was completely disinterested in doing her job -- failed to cut a key properly, we took it back and tried again. This time, a different disinterested pregnant woman, who seemed annoyed that he personal conversation was being interrupted, said, "Well, the machine will cut it the same way as the last time." Purchased a 4 burner Gas grill here Sunday may17 for their special of $199.00 plus tank and gas and cover for additional monies ,found the Identical gas grill at Walmart for $159.00 on sale Monday , I brought the flyer to the home depot store and asked for a price match , However even though they are identical units from the same manufacture i bought the blacken version instead of the Aluminum finished grill so the store manager would not authorize the match price, The units are the same in every way including SKU numbers except for color, so the service desk was told not to authorize or honor the price match, this is not the first time dealing with this store in East haven i have had this problem, they have gone back to the old way of home depot doing business here in CT which cost them a large customer base because of stupid decisions like this, the manager hid on the other end of the phone rather than come out and look me in the eye and tell me the units are not the same, I have spent a lot of dollars in this store over the past 7 years , but no more . Always had great service in the afternoon or later in the evening from the majority of the employees, but even better to outstanding service from the ladies at night behind the customer service desk. So...I stopped in the A.M the other day to pay a bill, but seeing that there were no cashiers available at that time of day and the self check outs do not take payments I had to go to customer service. Two guys "working" behind the counter helping two women out. One lady finishes so I step up to the desk and the guy immediately starts to shake his head in the side to side manner for the universal signal of "no". So I'm standing there like a chooch with my blood pressure hitting boil over and I finally let out a "WTF does that mean, I don't understand sign language speak!" Gent comes out with " Oh I can't help you I'm not working." Well if you're not working or providing help then why the heck are you standing behind a customer service desk? hey it's always me that this crap happens to, but my choice from now on is to always go with the women at night who have always gone out of their way to help me with whatever I need.
