They refused to help me out this door back on and take it away. It took me and my 85 year old mother 5 min after they left

Purchased a new range oven in store And confirmed a $40 haul away service for my elderly parents when new range was delivered . They refused to take away because I detachable Oven door was not on . It slips back on easily , The were to leave My parents a stove range in their kitchen . Had multiple calls with management at the store they said they could reschedule a new delivery a week from today after thanksgiving . And they were waiting for pictures of the stove they had to haul away I guess the customer isn't right here , nor is the customer service .

Sam is a ROCK STAR

Ahhh...the working man's version of a shoe store. I stopped to get some lumber and needed to have it cut. I was in the store for about 20min, 18 of which was spent trying to find someone to operate the saw. At last, a woman (Sylvia) in a HD apron is walking my way. I ask her for her and without thought, she points and tells me to go "down there". She said someone "down there" should be able to help you. I ask why she couldn't and she said because she doesn't work here (I'm in front of the saw in the lumber area). A few minutes later Sam comes into view. I ask him for help and he immediately says, I can take care of that for you. He does, and appears genuinely eager to do so. SAM, and SAM only, is the reason for the stars!! Sylvia needs a lesson in teamwork. 1. Don't point me in the direction you think may be right, escort me so we are both clear 2. If you don't know, find out 3. Don't guess if someone "can or should" be able to help me...find someone that can.

My kids loves this place. Always ask me to go with them 1st day of the month for kids workshop. The y love to build stuff with wood. I love them too, but they should have one for adults.

To say they have everything is probably accurate. I found the plants that I wanted and some ground cover I didn't know I wanted till I saw it, LOL. Prices were very good. I don't have a lot of comparisons, because where I live near Ft. Meade, there aren't many nurseries nearby. This place is definitely worth the drive for me. Parking is ample, but a little tricky. I mistakenly drove around to the commercial side and had to turn around to get back to the non-commercial area. There were lots of wheeled carts of different sizes. Everything is laid out according to types of plants and their needs - very efficient. I only spoke to three employees, two at some length, and they were so friendly and helpful - big plus for me! I take my business elsewhere if I don't feel welcome. Here's a little oddity that you want to watch out for: GPS kept wanting me to turn onto a side road next to an auto dealership, on the wrong side of Highway 301. (This was coming south from Gambrills/Crofton.) I submitted a correction, but till they fix it be aware the nursery is on the east side of the highway, sort of opposite the auto dealership.

We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

It's a large warehouse style store with bulk bags of almost everything for almost every animal. They have birdseed, horse feed, wood chips, hay, and other supplies of every sort. They have an old country store feel, complete with a shelf of assorted jams and sauces for sale. I love their convenience, right up from Ellicott City's Main Street (the same road technically) and close to the Route 40/29 interchange. You can browse around the place, but I've never done anything more than walk up to the counter, describe what I need, pay for it and momentarily someone wheels it out and loads it into my car. I do have to deduct a star for their banker's hours. They close at five on weekdays and are not open on Sundays, so you have to plan your trips accordingly.
