But if you have a project where you need just a small piece (say for a 20"X30" vanity top), and you want something really special, good luck! Even the major stone dealers have primarily full slabs, and they will not cut off a small piece for you! (This is not a knock on those businesses, it's just the way the business operates.) Most places will have some "remnants" around, but there's a good chance that most of them will be fairly plain, or just not the piece of your dreams. That is why, if you are looking for plenty of choices for your smaller project, you should not waste your time - you should go DIRECTLY to "Remnant Yard," which has an amazing selection of . . .stone remnants!! This company is not a big operation, though they also do plenty of standard work. But their selection of stone remnants, which is mostly outside, is unbelievably diverse! Within a few minutes we found three different pieces we loved, and Mo (the owner) personally helped us choose the right one for us; he is very knowledgeable and VERY patient, and the piece we chose will knock the socks off everyone who uses our powder room. MARVA handles CAMBRIA claims- our CAMBRIA Quartz was delivered with a chip on it and the edges had…read morea burn mark all along the sides- the fabrication was lousy (MASTERPIECES -BELTSVILLE ) and had a large gap behind kitchen sink. The caulked-it had yellowed-:/. MARVA sent their tech out 5 times! He used DOOR AND WINDOW caulk the first time- super bright white-awful! who wants to notice caulk on a beautiful countertop?! came back scraped that out damaged wall/backplash and then put the same superwhite mess back on- brought a very agressive bulldogish woman along to 'supervise' and basically terrorized the tech and homeowner- Cambria is gorgeous but be very careful who does your fabrication and if you have isues you are stuck with MARVA- terrible customer service - all talk and no service- one tech for like 5 states. MARVA manager always on 'vacation' cannot understand how this company stays in business-
