Horrible two-year experience with a kitchen remodel. Cabinets were cut incorrectly and delayed the project while we waited for correct materials. We were told "supply chain problems". Final subcontractor that worked on the backsplash poured his grout mixture down our kitchen sink and threw his leftover materials along our driveway. The grout cemented the pipes causing a major flood in our basement. Ceilings had to be replaced. Pipes had to be replaced. Bedroom, closet, and storage rooms were ruined. Unable to use our house because of the damage. Positive items: First few contractors, once they were available, were wonderful. Just this final blacksplash contractor should never be allowed to work again. read more

On 5/20/24 I purchased a Ryobi 40v HP String Trimmer Kit from the Firestone Home Depot. I have used it at least once a week since then. I absolutely love the trimmer. On 8/07/24 I needed to replace the trimmer cord. I watched several "how to" videos and read , re-read and read again to no avail. After becoming very frustrated, I took the trimmer to Home Depot where I bought it. I first met with Braden at the return desk and told him of my frustration. He asked me if it was the 40v trimmer , I said it was. Braden explained to me, the problem I was having was a common problem with that trimmer. He called for assistance. Chris came to the return desk, took the trimmer from Braden and instructed me to follow him to the aisle stocked with trimmers. Chris tried, unsuccessfully for several minutes to remove the cap so I could reload the chord. Next Aaron came down the aisle and also tried to help, also unsuccessful with his attempt. The next employee to stop by was Sara was asked if she had any experience with this model trimmer. She said her & her husband have the exact same trimmer and had encountered the same problem. She said the secret to replacing the string on this model, was sticky gloves. We all laughed as she asked me what size gloves I wore. She disappeared and returned with a pair of sticky gloves in my size, handed them to me and told me they were for me. When suddenly, after struggling wither the head of the trimmer for several minutes, it just came apart. Sara said that's exactly what happened to her and her husband. Aaron, Chris & Sara then proceeded to re-spool my trimmer for me with the chord I brought with me. From the time I walked into your store in Firestone with my 9 y.o. Grandson, until we walked out, total time about 40-45 minutes, your 4 employee, mentioned above, Braden, Aaron, Chris & Sara were absolutely incredible. My hat's off to those 4 employees... And to the store manager. Your 4 above mentioned employees seriously restored my faith in customer service . Thank you, thank you, thank you... God Bless you all for your patience with me, a very frustrated 66 y.o. grandpa, your troubleshooting of the situation, and a successful outcome, to my problem. I hate going to any Home Depot anymore. I get talked to like I'm an idiot when asking for something that they clearly have. They don't ever stock their shelves and you have to ask them to get the product down. You can't sell things when you have them on shelves that customers can't get to. Knows everything and gives you the small details that you should have when deciding. Best associate ever. Only thing I would tell you is read the fine print on sales ads. We have a nice rental property and recently the microwave/wall oven unit died. Searching to replace it with a similar unit, we checked Lowe's, Best Buy, Appliance Warehouse, and Home Depot. Prices were similar at all, however, we had received a 10% promotion from HD if we would use our HD credit card. We tried ordering on line and made two phone calls to the store without getting a clerk to help us. I went into the store and found out the price on line was 10% off and they would not honor an additional 10% promotion we had received as 'valued customers.' I went ahead and ordered the unit as my renters were without an oven. I also included installation with the order. Installation is outsourced by HD to another company, Showtime. The oven is now setting in the renter's garage and we have had no communication or confirmation for the installation., even though I have called requesting a call or scheduled time to be confirmed. After trying the HD customer service number and also calling the Firestone HD, I cannot get anyone to resolve the installation debacle. I'm not looking for other installers on short notice to make sure this unit gets installed ASAP. Very poor service and follow up by HD. I will look elsewhere for any appliances or installation in the future. read more

I was very disappointed with my shopping experience this morning. We were unable to get help in the lumber department. We struggled to pull lumber off a 3rd level shelf in the dark (the lights were not turned on at 7:00am) while several Home Depot employees walked past us and refused to help. The quality of the lumber was very poor with ALOT of cracking. Next time I will shop at Lowe's. I hope upper Management works on their training program. read more

This store has easily some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I rented a truck from them at 11:35am for 4 hours. At 2:27 pm I went to return it. While retuning the truck I realized I had forgotten to fill it up with gas. I asked for the keys because I still had optimal time to refill the truck with gas given I had paid for the 4 hours. The woman then refused to give me the keys back and said they would do it. I am well aware their gas prices are higher than the normal ones but I also know I paid for the full time and should not have been refused the keys. I didn't have time to argue because I work at a hospital and were already short staffed so I just left. I then came to realize they charged me 60+ dollars for gas when I could've done it for 30$ if not less. I tried to resolve the issue with customer service via and email; which they didn't respond to. Honestly I don't recommend unless you want to be scammed. read more

Thought I would do some painting to support local Home Depot and keep myself busy. Bought paint more expensive than I would have normally thinking I could return it if I didn't use it. Apparently that is not their policy but this was not explained before I got the paint and had it been I would not have bought so much or such expensive paint to begin with. I was only told about the policy when I tried to return an unopened/unused gallon. Will definitely NOT be buying paint from Home Depot again. read more

At purchase, HD sells a "haul away" service for your old appliances for a $25.00 fee each. And they tell you that if you don't need the appliance hauled away they will refund that fee. And it is true they will refund the fee. The "heads up" for appliance buyers is that HD's system doesn't automatically trigger that refund. I ordered an appliance in early December that wasn't delivered until late January (a long story that rivals the long delivery time so I won't bore you with it). In the interim, I was able to sell my old appliance and so did not use the "haul away" service. After delivery I checked my credit card balance every couple of days for the credit and after two weeks called HD to inquire why I wasn't seeing the credit. During that call the customer service rep credited the $25 to my card, emailed a credit receipt and informed me that it was the customer's responsibility to initiate a credit for unused "haul away" services. read more

We bought pergo flooring from your store in Firestone, CO and had them installed by you also. Yes, I know you outsource your installers, but it is still your responsibility. Our floors were put in 1 year and 4 months ago. We have started to see gaps appear. They are in spots that are not even hardly walked on. I was informed, after spending over $6k, that the the warranty was only for a year and I quote from your store flooring dept-"might have been a bad install" We were getting ready to have our upstairs done and will not spend the $ with you all. Now the store tells us we need to pay $75 just to have the installer come and assess and then pay for repairs. Shouldn't you all at least try and do the right thing? Yes, I plan on spreading the word to all my neighbors and friend. To bad, as my neighbor was going to go get flooring from you all this weekend. Soo disappointed in Home Depot! read more

I own a rental property right near this location, and am always using it for small supplies until recently. I purchased a replacement dishwasher and it was mistakenly ordered in white instead of black. I had to make the exchange through a woman named Sherri, and she was beyond helpful. She exchanged the unit for the correct color, adjusted the current price to the sale price I had purchased the original unit for, waved all the extra fees, and had me dialed in ASAP. I would recommend the team at this Home Depot to anyone, and wish I could find this caliber of employee to work for me! Thanks Sherri! read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. I bought washer/dryer and had delivery scheduled for a Friday. I took the day off from work and they never showed up. Called Home Depot they said they called to reschedule. Never happened and they never apologized. Don't bother shopping in this store. They do not care about their customers. read more

The only reason this store isn't getting 1 star is because they're POS staff is very friendly and fans the flame of frustration caused by their staff in the back. I was at this Home Depot buying a pallet full of insulated foam board and this older gentleman who was assisting us was very grumpy and talked to us like we were idiots with a very loud and rude voice. To make matters worse, he brings our pallet to the front after we paid for the product, and rolls our cart out and lets it roll without handling the cart at all. Terrible customer service. Nothing but bad here. The people were nice about it but customer service was awful. Purchased a grill and electric lawn mower last Monday. They had multiples of the grill but none of the lawn mower we were told "no worries" we can get it in and you can pick it up on Friday at 5pm. They told us with the extra time they'd build us another grill (opposed to the ones outside they had been fiddled with and were dirty). We agreed and paid in full for the items. Service was slow and took an hour to arrange. Come Friday at 4 they call and say they don't have the grill (the thing they said they had multiples of). We went and looked to see if there was another we could change to but none had what we were looking for for the price. They said we could rent their truck and go into Longmont and get it there then stop back to get the mower. This would have taken all the rest of our night. They told us due to the inconvenience they would deliver them both. It took a good 30-45 minutes to find a manager and set this up. We agreed on Saturday morning at 7am. They said it would be no issue. We said ok, we understand mistakes happen. 7am Saturday comes and goes, no grill or lawn mower. We contact AGAIN, this time talking to deliveries they tell us no notes and nothing was set up. They tell us we can get it still, we both work Saturday and we'll be back at 5pm we are again told no problem they'd be there at 5 I express the importance of 5 as my boyfriend needed to leave to see his father in WY. 530pm comes and we call again. Are told they haven't gone to Longmont to get it yet but they'll find someone to go get it now and they'll get it right out. 815pm it finally arrives, one gentleman who needs help getting it out. I help him and notice our new grill is not only filthy but damaged missing a dial and the mowers box is looking worse for wear. I've been told they're going to find the knob or order us another knob... we'll see. After all this we were never offered more then an "I'm sorry" every time I called they all seemed to know of the issue but still nothing got fixed. Guess I'll open the mower now and see if it's damaged too. read more

I've become increasingly disappointed in the stock at both the Firestone and Longmont stores. Many frequently needed items are not stocked as if Home Depot wants to become an online retailer. This includes simple things like dust masks; they do not stock the 3M N95 mask and getting it would require a drive to Thornton. Lowes on the other hand has 51 2 packs in stock in Longmont. The other day I needed some simple sanding and painting things: small foam sanding blocks, a decent set of small brushes plus one good 2 inch bristle brush, quarts of spar varnish and more. They had a few of the fifteen or so items I needed, but Lowe's had them all. This hasn't always been the case. I largely built my entire house 15 years ago with Home Depot Lumber and parts. I could never get the same quantity or quality now. And I've been told by managers that this is all because of silly rules to increase profits at the expense of customer satisfaction. Home Depot used to be my first stop; now Lowe's is. read more

WATCH OUT !! This Home Depot is horrible I was in a few months back bought some stain for a project put it in my car. And the lid wasn't tight it leaked all over my carpet in my vehicle. I went in to speak to a manager? I got Susan and Mic they took full responsibility and gave me a new stain and 20.00 credit for cleaning materials. Then there insurance company Sedwick denied my claim gave me the run around and still are. Now I'm going to the BBB I'm furious I don't want anything except for new carpet kit for my vehicle seems pretty reasonable. If I can say anything, is not too trust Home Depot I will remove this once they do right buy me. Hopefully that's sometime soon. read more

The store manager, Tess, is not competent to be in that position. We bought an LG washer from that location and it worked for a while, but then, started having issues. We purchased an extended warranty, in case there were issues after the manufacturers warranty. We had the unit looked at, and it was determined , by more than one appliance service company, that the unit was NEVER put together properly when it was assembled at the factory. The washers that hold the bottom counter weight were never put on the bolts that hold it on. After lots of loads, the weight finally shook off, OVER THE BOLTS THAT SHOULD HAVE HELD IT ON. Home depot, specifically, Tess, the "manager " , has passed us around like a hot potatoe. LG will not concede that they put out a bad product. I spend thousands of dollars at home depot every year, but alas , we are ALL just numbers. SHAME ON YOU HOME DEPOT AND LG APPLIANCES! read more
