Came here only to buy plants recently. They had a good selection of both hostas and vincas. I paid $5.99 for some small - medium containers. Checked out through self checkout and it was easy. They have started to expand their outdoor portion of plants for the season so worthwhile to check out. Would go back if in the area. read more

I ordered a $1200 shed last month. Tracking said delivered. There was no shed delivered. Home depo then tells me their tracking still stays "in transit." Three days after it said "delivered," I get an email saying Home Depot canceled my order. I then bought the same shed from Amazon. Free shipping and $200 cheaper. They delivered flawlessly and ontime. A small lady delivered the shed her self with no issues. Stupid me decided to buy dishwasher from Home Depot a week after my shed problems. Once again, home depo cant get their shipping on-time. They tell you to pick a date for delivery that works for you. I did and they rescheduled twice to dates im unavailable. 3/2021 I visited this Home Depot location since I was in the area. Plenty of parking but I can see that it can be tight during busy times. I picked up a few heavy items and was a bit sad there was no lot attendant to help (they have one in the Baltimore pike location). Luckily I was able to put the shelving unit to my car. read more

I purchased 8' posts and had them delivered, which there was a $35 fee. The items arrive damaged / defective. They will not pick up returns so I had to come up with transportation to bring them into the store due to their poor quality items. The cashier was rude, The uninterested to assist with the return, and had extremely bad breath. Why should the consumer be penalized a return / delivery fee when the merchant is at fault? If the correct, undamaged item was delivered, this return would not be required. read more

Service is always horrible there's never anybody around to help you when you need it. I resorted to using the step ladder myself since no one wants to help me, I encourage everyone t do the same. One associate just watched me as I did it looks like they don't care. They have a wide selection of parts the only problem is they never have it on a reachable shelf it's always up high out of reach where there is no associate around to help when you need it. read more

I love this place ! Everyone here is willing to help you unlike some other HD's where they disappear if you seem to be wanting assistance. The aisle are for the most part, clear. Things are well marked and stocked in a fashion that makes sense. Its conveniently located next to my gym and adjacent to a supermarket so the location works for me. read more

This is my preferred HD. I actually only live 1 mile from the Upper Darby HD, but their staff seems to be much less competent. Their selection is strong, and the staff is always helpful. They really helped me out with a touch paint match that the Upper Darby Branch botched and seemed unable to assist me with. Shout out to Kalya(?) in the paint section. read more

So I go to Home Depot at 7:45 on a Tuesday night... need to get a new sprinkler and a refill Propane Gas Tank...seemed easy enough... go to self check out the first cashier scans the gas tank and I scan my sprinkler... pay the bill...and right before I go out the door...I ask the cashier if someone will meet me...she said...oh yes!! I only asked because after she walked away from the register...I didn't hear or see her tell anyone.,. 5 minute later after waiting outside...my wife goes and asked a "different" cashier at the self check out...how long until someone comes out...?? Once again...waited another 8 minutes...and still nobody... this time I go in and ask the same RUDE!!! cashier at the self check out..." Tuesday Night 9/17/19 at 8:07 (check the schedule) when do you think someone will be out here!!!???...I've waited almost 15 minutes!!!!???? So of course because I'm a little upset...I have the attitude (this according to the Self check out cashier)... finally some guy shows up... he just started today... not my job he said..."not sure where the guy with the keys is" Long story especially to just pick up a lousy tank of propane... but come on...turns out I waited 20 minutes on a Tuesday night...now at 8:20!!! Was recently here looking for a simple wood stain and as i was shopping the rudest employee rushed me out of the aisle as i was shopping do i had to wait for the aisle to reopen to keep looking for the wood stain. Than as if that wasnt enough i had to buy some locks and another rather inconsiderate employee didn't move her cart out of the way as the cart blocked the locks. I had a confirmed large bark mulch delivery from the Folsom, Pennsylvania Home Depot scheduled for today between 10 AM and 2 PM. I received an email this morning that they had attempted and failed at making a delivery at 6:56 AM this morning because there was either no one available over to sign for it or they couldn't or unload it. they confirm that by adding a picture of what was supposed to be the site, which was a blurry picture of a chain-link fence. first of all there were several people available at that time and address to accept the delivery and waiting for it. There are no chain-link fences on the property or adjacent to the property. And this wasn't even close to the delivery window. I have Ring video cameras all around the property and this is just a blatant lie! There was no delivery attempt at that hour. When I called the customer service number, I was told that they had another delivery that was going to take all day and they couldn't deliver it until at the earliest Wednesday. I was really counting on this order to do the work I needed to do today. I have always been a faithful customer of Home Depot and have a pro account. I found the lying to be abhorrent! And the service just as bad. I canceled my order and re-ordered with a competitor. read more

Ordered appliances November 28th, original delivery for December 17 pushed to December 21 due to back order, only 1 of 3 was delivered. The delivery showed up 3 hours early, creating an even bigger headache. Contacted Folsom Home Depot 3 times trying to confirm when our redelivery would occur, no information was available was told "someone would call" December 23, 24, 26, 27. Finally December 28th was told appliances are being delivered December 29th (today) had an electrician come out to fix the wiring issue last minute for the oven. Today (Dec 29th) only the frig was delivered in the 7-11am window. Was told Ovens on a separate truck delivery between 1-5p. At 4:30 followed up to see what the ETA was only to be told the oven was never on a truck. I spent an entire day waiting for nothing to arrive. Now our oven won't be delivered until January 2nd and we'll be living on sandwiches for the next 4 days since we have no oven. Home Depot has been useless in resolving this and has no care for the headache I've been through. Save yourself and go anywhere but this company. read more

Hello again Yelp Family!!! I wanted to review The Home Depot today. I patronized on Monday, September 2nd- Labor Day this year. I only intended to purchase a bulb for the ceiling fan in my room. Instead I walked into a bevy of good folks!!! First of all, this particular Home Depot location is huge!!!! It is located in a great location in Ridley Park, surrounded by Planet Fitness, Citizens Bank and Acme to name a few. The parking lot is spacious - plenty of room to park. When I arrived in the store - the entrance, I was met by Home Depot fellow employees. There are many departments and sections here - Hardware, Cleaning Products, Plumbing, Construction, etc . I decided to ask an associate where the lighting bulbs were, because I would be walking the entire length of the store, because I did not see the Lighting section. I then asked an associate who stopped what he was doing to assist me . I asked, where are the bulbs, for the ceiling fans? He showed me where they were and even scanned the back of the sample that I had in my hand and promptly handed me the brand new bulbs that came two in a pack. I was so happy and then I went over to pay and I was greeted by another employee - Amy. Amy was smiling and was so friendly and congenial. Amy works in Customer Service and she told me she wasn't busy so she could assist me. She said she wasn't going to make me walk to self-serve check-out when she could help me. Amy rung up my purchase - it was $3.15. We talked the entire time. We traded life stories. We had many things in common. Amy asked for my business card because I am a Personal Trainer. I also handed her an Avon book and My Daily Bread. This Home Depot visit was a pleasurable experience for me and it certainly will not be my last!!! read more

Its also very close to my new home, so close that I'm often still all angry and bleeding when I get there, from whatever tragedy has befallen my home and I. Home Depot loses 2 stars for putting the mom and pop places out of business. ( shut up! I know I'm part of the problem, but this is the way big business works!) However, it gained 1 star back for providing me with popcorn on customer appreciation day. If you every need anything for your home or need them to do some installs in your home, go to Lowes instead. There is never anyone around to assist you. I had them put doors in my house and it was a disaster! The door man was late for my appointment. It took the installer weeks to contact me. When he did, we had to reschedule 3 times because he couldn't get to my house. When the doors were installed, the one door wasn't cut right and hits the door frame. I will never go to this Home Depo or have them install anything in my home again. read more

Home Depot. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I hate to give them 3 stars, because I think as an employer they suck. If you've met anyone who works there you know what I mean. And, I guess I'm pissed off at HD because of all the little hardware stores they put out of business. Therefore I used the little hardware stores as much as possible (Hills in Ridley is my favorite) but sometimes you just gotta go here. OK. Having said that - my visit to HD yesterday (Ridley) I had two EXEMPLARY experiences. Bill in Flooring - wow - and Diane in Paint. Small purchases each one, but the personal attention - I couldn't have asked for more. This store seems to be managed OK. I found everything I was looking for, they had a great selection too. I would write HD and tout these folks, but I wouldn't want to put a target on their backs from management. read more

This Home Depot is the pits. It is the closest to my house so I am there often and it seems like important things in the store are always broken and the management seems not to care. They also consistently flout the credit card company regulations and insist on seeing ID when paying by credit card even when the card is signed. I do not have a problem showing ID, but I do have a problem being strong armed into doing it when it is not allowed. The store just can not seem to keep the doors or check out registers working. Just about every time I am there more than one of the self-checkout registers is down - yesterday 3 of 4 were down. You would think that they would open an extra register or two, but no. In fact no dedicated registers were open - the only register open was the one in the self check out area. Needless to say there was a pretty decent line. If this were a 1 time event I'd write it off, but it happens just about all of the time. The store manager or head cashier could open another register if they actually cared. Top it off with 4 additional employees standing there doing little to nothing. Customer service here is terrible - they could not make it more clear that they just do not care. Other Home Depots in the area are far better, but I really wish that Lowes would open a store! read more

Walked out again this morning. One cashier. It seems the manager of this location doesn't want professional customers. There are about 5 or 6 people who are helpful. Carl, Angie, Rich and a few people at customer service. You can't order anything No one calls to tell you it's there. Is it really that hard to figure out when it's busy and have an extra cashier? I had problems.... it took me four months to resolve and staying on their case every other week (dedicating my day off). I went here yesterday to buy a door for my room that's being constructed. It was raining out and I only had my dad's Ford F150 to get the door home. I called ahead of time and spoke with Nick and he assured me that he would wrap the door in plastic for me so I could get it home safe. When I got there he made sure the door was wrapped well so that my $50 investment didn't get ruined. I appreciate this store and how much they care for their customers! read more

I am a pro customer that spends hundreds of thousands a year at Home Depot and associate Paul in tool rentals was completely unprofessional with me and downright disrespectful. People with no social skills or respect should not work in customer service. Manager Mikal did a great job rectifying the situation but as soon as he walked away Paul went right back to the disrespectfulness and disobeyed what his manager told him to do out of spite. I placed an order for something that showed they had enough in stock. When I called to make sure with order would be fulfilled in time they said they would try. The woman was very nice over the phone. She called back later to apologize and tell me that they dont have any in stock. She looked up other stores that do and suggested that I call them first. I called the other stores and they didnt really appear to want to help me and kept saying that they dont have them and that they are not in season. It's the beginning of summer and apparently a misting fan is not in season. I dont know what other season you would need it to keep cool in and they had all their other fans up on the shelves. I was near another location that said they have 2 in stock and then showed that it had limited stock by the time I got there. They were very nice and looked everywhere and couldn't find any. I called up the Claymont Delaware location and the woman was very short with me and said that they dont have any in stock because someone else just asked and they told that person there were none. She didnt say that they actually checked or not but just that they didnt have any. I called up Home Depot and explained my frustration and told them that I really wanted to buy it from Home Depot so they transferred me to online ordering even after I told them that they wont be able to help me because it's only in stores. The person from online ordering told me that I was right and she couldn't place the order. I'm very frustrated because this has been taking place over 3 days of calling and cancelled orders. Home Depot really needs to get their stuff in order to be able to track everything. I can understand if it was limited quantity and by the time they had a worker try to get the item from the shelf it was gone but that's apparently not the case hear. Online it shows that the stores have them in stock. When you go to the store they say that they dont even have them on the shelves because it's a seasonal item that they dont have. Seriously makes me consider ever trying to order anything from Home Depot. I guess I'll go back to using Lowes all the time again. I was just starting to like Home Depot too. When i am starting a project or a minor repair at my home not only do the employees direct me to the items I need but will give me advice and how to do the projects I do not have experienced. The only department that was a disappointment was the flooring. On two different occasions I went to purchase, not window shop, flooring. Once wall to wall for my entire house the next time for kitchen flooring. I was ignored both times. I asked for help and was told I will be right back but no one ever came back. So I went elsewhere and purchased 8 rooms, 2 hallways and 2 stairs of wall to wall carpeting. Home depot's loss. :( read more
