We ordered a new Bosch dishwasher. A week later it arrived damaged and had to be exchanged for another one. One week later, the replacement arrived and did not fit even though it was the right size. Not the end of the world. However, I was told that they couldn't put not put my old dishwasher back because it was marked as a "Haul Away." So, essentially I paid $2200 to wait two weeks to have Home Depot come remove and disconnect my existing dishwasher and place it in the middle of my kitchen. Home Depot customer service should be studied in business school as a step by step example of what not to do. Save yourself a headache and buy local from competent business owners. read more

I have been to the Home Depot a couple times recently and sadly it is not up to the standards of most in the area. Out in the garden center all the young workers were on their cell phone on personal calls and when you needed ask anything it was like you were raining on their parade. It is not as well stocked as other locations (I'll check online before I go again). Lastly their parking lot needs a security guard. There are always people arguing etc. I try to spend as little time here as possible. Sadly I will go to other HD before I venture here again. read more

I went to Home Depot to pick out a new Microwave over above my stove. The firest girl I asked out ovens told me they were down the two isle behind her. I asked where were the top of the line ovens. She said that they didn't have one but the did have top of the line within brands. No help. I looked at the cheap overs she had then when over towards where the mock up kitches were. There I saw what I was looking for a all in one microwave, confection oven and toaster. It was $761.00. The girl working in that department was on the phone so I waited when she got off the phone she got up and went over to two latino men and began helping them and ignoring me. So, I went home and found what I needed on line and ordered and paid the additional amount for installation. The guys were inexperienced, did not know what they were doing and left before completing the installation. First, they said they couldn't install the microwave without breaking out our tile work. I shown them that they had to remove the vent first, they argued with me. So I removed the vent myself and the microwave was free to come out. Second, they installed the four screws holding the Microwave and left without putting the vent back on. So, I put it back in less than 5 minutes. You hire the worst people, three times your people have come out: counter top, dish washer and now this and each time you send the least qualified people you could hire. read more

immediately upon arrival, we were told that there would be somebody to deal with the keys when in fact there was nobody at that time until 5 PM that could actually make the keys. there was also two more people who are waiting on somebody to make keys, and after being told by two employees that they've called somebody to be on the way to make said keys, after another five minutes, no one came so we asked another employee who told us that no one would be able to operate the machine until 5. employees were screaming throughout the store constantly on their phone and spreading wrongful information. Walked in there with my dog since it's a dog friendly store not thinking nothing of it.. we go to the garden area and a employee approached us saying that we need to clean our dogs poop me confused I say excuse me? She proceededs to say it again and I politely say that it wasn't my dog and she say you're the only one in her with a dog so it has to be you! But-- I wanted to say that Home Depot has had an incredible response to COVID-19, even for me, a die hard! I have had to move forward with several projects in this time. Messaging has always been clear, helpful and geared toward the safety of employees and customers. Operations have shifted perceptibly to make things easier for everyone. I purchased river rock tiles in April 2022. After waiting 6 weeks, they said it was an incomplete order. After 2 .more weeks waiting for the remainder of my order to arrive, I cancelled my order. I had to fight for over an hour just to get my account credited. Then on May 14, 2022, I ordered a $3400 refrigerator. The original delivery date did not happen so I waited. On May 19th, they delivered a BROKEN REFRIGERATOR & LEFT IT IN MY HOME BECAUSE THEY CAN'T TAKE IT BACK WITHOUT A WORK ORDER. The delivery man said that this fridge was a "return" on Monday to HD. A replacement was supposed to be delivered a week later (I was still without a fridge). They could not accommodate the time I was off work to be here for delivery & no manager can help because the delivery co. is sub-contracted. This went on for a few more days and I finally cancelled my order & requested they pick up the broken fridge. As of today June 1st, I am still storing their fridge in my garage. I have spent 16.5 hrs on the phone with them trying to get this taken care of. This morning I get an early call that they will be here in 45 mins. They came while I walked to the garage to open the door (2 mins). I called the phone # back within 4-5 mins when I saw the missed call & they said they had already been here & cant come back. I called HD & they said it will be 3 more days before they can pick it up. My acct has yet to be credited for this broken fridge! BUYER BEWARE. I've always chosen Home Depot over Lowes. I'm just a Home Depot kinda person. But on 20January2022, a female manager named Eddie at the Hulen TCU AREA location and her refund employee changed my feelings. I simply took back a piece of chain that was incorrectly cut..10 feet at just $2.90 total that I was told I couldn't return because they don't return cut chain......EVEN THOUGH they cut the wrong size!!!! I spend thousands of dollars in HD and I understand rules. But how the shit does the rule apply when they made a simple ass mistake??? Eddie asked me why I didn't come back the same day as if I'd go out of my way to return $2.90 worth of merchandise instead of just doing so at my own convenience when I was near the store again. The people at the refund counter are always so nice. But in this day, it was a short sandy blonde who'd I'd never seen and apparently she'd never dealt with me. How can two employees- one being a manger not understand that the rule shouldn't apply since THEY made the mistake. Eddie asked why I didn't realize the difference before I'd left. What I bought and what I'd asked them to cut looks similar. I didn't even notice until a couple days when I went to use it. It upset me immensely that Eddie took a little time to giggle with the refund lady after finally agreeing with me and giving me my $2.90 back while I was there to purchase a $298 item. About a month earlier Eddie had been so kind in helping me get a question answered regarding military discounts on a $4200 outdoor shed that I was buying from them. When I asked her did she remember, she said with a snub ' I did t sell it to you! ' This is a fucking MANAGER at my favorite Home Depot!!! I use Home Depot EVERYWHERE!!!!! The refund lady suggested that I stole the items that I was returning because I didn't have the receipt with me. I didn't bring it because they have a credit card lookup that will confirm the purchase. I am writing this review today, because if I was to call you, I probably wouldn't be able to keep my cool. I purchased 7 day carpet from your location in Fort Worth, TX store#542 on September 18, 2018. The turn around time is supposed to be 7 business days after purchase. My scheduled first install was October 5th, which is not 7 days after purchase. When the men from cooper carpet installation came to lay the carpet, the honest employee noticed that there was a huge molded smelly stain on the carpet. We contacted the store immediately to let them know about the issue. We unfortunately spoke with an employee Leland, who works in the special order department, who's customer service skills do not exist what so ever. I had made plans to move in and have a few friends over in excitement for my new home purchase. I started paying my mortgage October 1st. So the delay as a pain it was, was understandable. They offered me a better carpet in order to get it installed faster and would split the difference with me. Great! Picked out the new carpet, had it ordered through the carpet department and on it went. Was told it was going to be about another week or so to get in and get installed. Received no paperwork on this install, but received an email stating what to do to prepare for carpet installation. So here I am, not living in my house, paying a $1,500 mortgage, my thoughts, well what's another week. No big deal. Carpet was set to be installed October 18, 2018 at noon. Called me on the 17th. Said they would need to push it back to 2pm, no problem! They call me at noon to let me know they would be there in 30 mins to install the carpet. Giving me almost no time to find someone to get to my house, as I work a full time job. Was able to get my mother to go over there, met the guys who were to install. My mom had the carpet sample that I had picked out to make sure it matched, and guess what?!! They ordered the wrong carpet. Not in the same color family, not the upgraded carpet that I split the cost for, NOTHING! So here I am, a month into trying to get a 7 day carpet installed, paying mortgage payment, and still no carpet. Called the Home Depot store immediately again, was told by Leland, that it was my mistake. I told them to order that specific carpet and that it was my fault that it was ordered incorrectly. If I wanted to re order that carpet that I asked for in the first place, it would take weeks to get in, and would cost an additional $300.00-$400.00. He was so rude! I told him I would be in later to discuss my options, as I needed carpet ASAP. I went into the store. Spoke with the assistant manager Carlos, explained my frustration, how I seem to keep pouring money into this installation and never getting anything from it. He said he would get right on it, would find a way to compensate me for my time, my cancelled parties, their mistake and I specified that I wanted nothing to do with associate Leland. Felt very positive leaving last night, knowing that the correct carpet would be ordered, that there would be no additional charges, etc. Now, it's October 19th, I receive a phone call in the late part of the afternoon from guess who?! Leland! The one person I asked the manager to not call me. Left me a voicemail, as I'm at work, and asked me to call him back to resolve this issue and to order the carpet that I'm wanting and to double check that HE has the right information. Unreal. I had many different options as to where to get carpet and I chose your business. I am highly regretting my decision. I know nothing will come of this, but I wanted to express my frustrations and dissatisfaction with how this was all handled. I feel like what I asked for wasn't anything outrageous. I was trying to return rugs ordered 4/1, but did not arrive until 4/8, and picked up 4/17. What I didn't know until I read the "exceptions" in the return policy (small print?), the smaller rug gave 90 days to return, but the larger is an area rug and gave 30. Today is 5/3. After asking several times what was wrong because we are in the 30-days, the manager found the computer system uses the order date versus delivered date. What?! Now I have a store credit for $100+? That's a lot for me to try to use up. Yesterday was the deadline. Sheesh! I asked if cash was ok because I could credit my Home Depot card in that manner. ...After asking for an explanation again and again, the manager finally found the "order date" issue and agreed it was misleading so he gave me the cash refund I had asked for, several times. I've gone to this store several times and have had an issue every single time. First of all, this Home Depot has a layout unlike any other Home Depot. They have the pro desk on the side of the store leading into the garden section, all the lumber is at the back of the store, and all the employees seem equally as confused as I am walking around the store. This time, I had to search the store for 20 minutes, not for a product as you might assume, but for a flat. Sadly I was not even the only customer looking. Once I finally found the flat I was looking for, I get trapped at the back of the store between their pro desk line and their aisle blockers while their one active employee was aimlessly driving the forklift through the right half of the store. No big deal, I wait it out and try to head up to the front of the store. Oh but unfortunately, their kiosks are so haphazardly placed, the moveable area isn't even wide enough for me to navigate through. Congratulations Home Depot, another epic success in the DFW area. I am a Pro Customer who spent $30k there in 2021. So, yes, I expect good Customer Service. This place is trash. Lots of employees standing around joking too much and not enough work going on. This middle-set girl in Paint with a mask half off her face was rude as get-out last night and should be fired. She copped an attitude and raised her voice about bringing a Manager over so we could discuss some wrongly mixed paint we got that day. They refused to do anything about it. We have a photo for evidence that shows a sign hung up in paint that says "Tinted paint is returnable". We told this Hispanic Manager and she was bad too and refused to help. I miss being able to walk into a hardware store/ Home Depot and being able to ask anybody anything and get an knowledgeable answer. I've been having problems trying to get house numbers to work when I screw them through concrete. The front of my house is brick so that's the only way I can put them up. Jeff Weldon at Home Depot was so kind to help me figure out which screws to use for concrete and I even found a really pretty sign to attach numbers to. I come to this Home Depot a lot considering it's just down the street from me. Always had a good experience but never had anything that made me ever want to actually leave a bad review before. I came in to get some key copies made. Only employees can use the key machine apparently. The gentleman who went to get the key guy for me was very nice and polite. When the key guy came over with a girl (both employees) both barely acknowledged me. He takes my spare and just stands there with his back towards me, basically pushing me off to the side while him and this girl are just talking. He is complaining to her about how he almost got fired apparently. After a few minutes he finishes the keys, hands them to me without a word. I said thanks I appreciate it. He says nothing and him and this girl just keep talking and walk off. I found the situation extremely uncomfortable, awkward, and very rude. I usually prefer Home Depot to their competitors. This location has been good in the past. Unfortunately, not anymore. I purchased a code at the register to get a propane tank at the machine outside. The lady accidentally rang up a tank exchange instead of a new tank. This was charged to my credit card. Instead of refunding my money, she charged me again for a new tank. Then I had to stand in line at customer service for 25 minutes to get a refund. Seriously, if you make a mistake, call for a manager to expedite the refund. Don't force the customer to wait in line for a refund due to your mistake. Kicking the can down the road is a good way to make sure a customer will go down the road to Lowe's. read more
