This is my first time to this Home Depot location and it was a pleasant one. The staff was very kind and helpful. One young man was very knowledgeable about the different types of fans as well as the bulbs - it was extremely helpful in our selection process. We purchased two fans and they brought them out to the car for us. When we pulled the car up, they were waiting right there for us so we didn't even have to go inside to tell them we were there. This location also had a lot of selections for fans compared to other Home Depots I've noticed, which is why we drove up here. I recommend going to this location.

Let's face it if you live in the Freehold area you're going to come to this Home Depot. It's certainly not my favorite Home Depot, but it's so close to home so it's where I go. I've been coming here for over 10 years. The first thing I want to say is that they have some really knowledgeable workers on the floor. And that's the reason for the 3-star rating even though it feels like a 2-star store. Kevin in the patio door section is outstanding. Mike in plumbing can find anything you need. And there's many more people like this - I'm really impressed with the employees. The problem is during the middle of the day it gets very crowded. I'm sure it's because of its location as well as being at the Freehold Raceway Mall. So it's really hard to get help during regular business hours. It's not the employees fault there just are not enough of them considering how many people are coming into the store. Otherwise keep in mind that this is a smaller-sized Home Depot with limited selection on many items. But if you need to get some hardware, or some tools, or a plant you can't go wrong going here. My suggestion is to come either early in the morning or late at night when there's less crowds. Coming early in the morning is best because their best people are on the floor. As long as you can get there before 9 o'clock you should be fine.

As a woman..lol. I don't have a reason to go to home depot very often...BUT...when I do have to go I try to make it quick n painless. I'm not a huge fan of this one..for many reasons..one it's not set up like the normal ones so it throws ur shopping all off of getting in and out..two the employees don't normally bother with helping. .three they don't have much on Cleaning supplies and such..they do have a decent selection of landscaping stones...which is a bonus. A decent size parking lot which makes for easy in n out. It's not difficult to get lost in this one bc their isn't a sign for cleaning stuff..plenty of signs for lumber, paint and other household chore items..so with that being said..it's home depot...we all have our fave locations.

They have more to offer than Loews and the people in the respective departments are more knowledgeable too.

He gives the impression that you're bothering him. After I qualified myself worthy of a repair (bought the generator from him) he instructed me to pull around to the side of the buidling to the shop. If I had known he was going to meet me there and direct my backup I would have rolled the windows down so I could hear him. He was not in a good position to see him in the door mirror. I was judging for myself and stopped backing up when I heard the screaming. Now, between the snotty unwelcoming greeting ànd this screaming to stop my Van, I decided to give it back. He loved it. It wouldn't have taking much for this screaming match to turn physical. I don't know why he was so adamant about stopping me because when I got out I wasn't even close to anything. There was nothing to hit! I decided to ask who he was and he was the owner. (No wonder) any employee would have been fired. Anyway, things calmed down long enough for him to check the oil in the generator. It was too low. He said I need a new generator. He could be right however I will get a second opinion. There's got to be an easier way to do these things. Oh, I know, I'm not going back to Jackson Hardware. You're just not a happy person. You might not want it but I forgive you. Glenn

Certainly not here to bash anyone but thought Id pass along my personal experience After reading…read moreothers. Moved down to the area almost 10 years ago and asked around for a reputable small engine repair shop to address an older Echo HCA 2400 Articulating hedge trimmer that i couldnt get running right after replacing the trimmer blades. I know this is an older unit as i personally bought and used it in a service business. Anyway, i replaced the blades and commenced to using it around my home. I did give it ur standard maintenance tune up along with changing the worn blades, plug, air filter, fuel filter. Used it for about 6 hrs around the homestead and couldnt get the high and low set right so thought Id give these guys a try. I knew I was in for it when the first words after setting it on the counter were "it looks like ya need a new one". Told the owner i just put some new blades on it and i cant get it to run "right" but just used it on and off for about 5-6 hrs so it does indeed run and good enough to trim . A day and a half later I get a call it needs to be replaced so i drive over and pick it up. I order an 85.00 OEM Echo carburetor and install it. That was 2 years ago and it still runs like a champ. Dropping 85.00 was welcomed after seeing the 600.00 replacement cost. Oh well
