Often near this Home Depot and can usually find what I'm looking for without assistance. Home Depot - Glendale crew is personable enough. The layout feels a little wonky as the garden center area is on the far south side of the store, off Colorado Street, but the main entrance and parking area are on San Fernando Rd/Harvard Street. I wanted to check out a few plants and garden things for my guy's place not far away, but only really explored what was out front and a few misc items in the store. I've been to this locations a couple times in the past but never really notice how inconvenient they're setup until recently... blaming the summer heat. If you enjoy hot dogs, they have their Hot Dog Depot, also in the main parking lot, no veggie options and still cash only. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms. Tons of space and easy isles. Tons of employees. One side for their entrance and the other for the exit which makes the garden center even more out of place. Easy for pickup orders. Reasonable prices, though not my prime choice location or home improvement. Rarely that busy. They offer curbside pickup from 9am til 6pm And operate from 6am until 10pm Monday through Saturday. 7am til 8pm on Sunday only - holiday hours may vary. Free Wi-Fi available. read more

Besides the fact that no one knows what anything is, let alone where it is located in the store, me and my friend, two girls had to get 12 80lb pavers off the shelf and load them into our car. We asked for help three times but help never came. read more

This review is specifically for Cristina at the customer service/ return desk. She was extremely rude and extremely condescending. I understand people probably use equipment and return it, but this was not the case. First, they were rude about their policy about returning equipment with gasoline, which is understandable. But there should at least be a sign in front of the pressure washers stating such policy. We would've never had to return the pressure washer in the first place if it wasn't already used and broken. Another gentleman in the store was extremely helpful and spoke to a manager who offered us a $50 discount. When we went back to the customer service counter and told her she became immediately accusatory saying "who told you could get a discount" we can't do that. Offered no solution, I'm pretty sure there was a way to give us a $50 store credit or something of the sort but she could care less. She made sure to tell us next time we return it to make sure that there's no gasoline. Who said there was gonna be a next time? She's accusing us of trying to use the equipment and then bring it back for a refund, to me feels like profiling. This was the worst experience we have ever had at this store. read more

The assistant manager, Manny snd the whole crew are a good bunch of employees!! Every single time I've been at this location the people step up with skill and not only help me, but I've seen how well they are there with other customers. and as a teacher I see how they really love helping with calm and dedication. I travel to this location because of them and also the store is kept really organized and clean- the crew is well trained snd Manny is well liked by the group. I came to The Home Depot on San Fernando to buy a grill... not to embark on a survival challenge. About 10 minutes into the visit, nature called. No problem, right? Wrong. We head to the restroom and find a line already forming, fair enough. A cleaning crew is inside, totally understandable. But as the line grows from 6... to 8... to what felt like a small concert crowd, things take a turn. Someone politely knocks, and the cleaning attendant comes out and absolutely unloads, very aggressively, in Spanish, telling people to go somewhere else and clearly not interested in helping anyone. Meanwhile, just down the hall, a manager literally peeks his head out, watches the chaos unfold like it's a reality show, and retreats back into his office. I stop him, his name was Armando Madrid, the "Experience Manager" and explain the situation: customers need the restroom, maybe pause cleaning for 2 minutes, maybe don't let staff verbally spar with a line of customers. His response? "She's not our employee, she's a subcontractor. There's nothing we can do." Nothing? Not even... managing? At a place you manage? As the "Experience Manager," I expected at least a hint of experience. Instead, we got a masterclass in passing the buck. The solution offered to a growing line of now 10+ people? "Go to another Home Depot." Perfect. Next time I'll also go to another Home Depot to buy my grill, my tools, and apparently use a restroom like a civilized human. By the time we left, the line had grown even longer, morale was low, and I'm pretty sure a few people were reconsidering their life choices. Pro tip: If you're shopping here and have anything resembling a digestive system, plan accordingly. This location treats restroom access like it's a VIP perk. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Home Depot location. I went in to make a return and spoke with the manager, Alpha, and the supervisor, Christina. From the beginning, neither of them was willing to listen to me or allow me to fully explain the situation. Alpha was extremely rude and told me that he "doesn't have any time" for me. I found this completely unacceptable, especially coming from a store manager. Christina was also extremely rude and dismissive. Every time I tried to explain the situation, she kept interrupting me and talking over me. She would not allow me to finish what I was saying or even properly explain my reason for the return. Instead of listening and trying to help, they repeatedly told me they were unable to process the return and did not have time to assist me. I understand that a return may sometimes be denied depending on store policy, but that does not justify treating a customer with disrespect, constantly interrupting them, or refusing to even hear them out. I became extremely frustrated with the way I was being treated and ultimately left the store. I am very disappointed that a manager and supervisor would treat a customer this way. Their behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable. I would like Home Depot corporate management to review this incident and address the way I was treated by both Alpha and Christina. read more

This is the worst Home Depot of all time. The workers were not on the same page today, and it took me a ton of back and forth trying to get help cutting thin pieces of wood. The men here treat women with the utmost lack of respect. Two men tried to charge me for wood cuts even after their own supervisor said there was no charge. I even looked them in the eyes and asked, "Why did your supervisor say it was free, but you're telling me there's a charge?" They just stood there looking confused. I'm pissed, and I could tell they were lazy asses who just didn't want to cut wood for me. Thank you to the older man who cut it all for me, but damn, your coworkers SUCK for running away and making you do it. F*ck this Home Depot. Be better. read more

I stopped by Home Depot the other day to pick up a few electrical supplies, and I have to say it's been a long time since I've come across an employee as impressive as Micia. I'm not as quick with all these newer electrical parts and gadgets, but Micia took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. He really knew his stuff walked me through what I needed, double checked that I had the right materials, and even gave me a few helpful tips for installation. You don't find that kind of customer service much these days. If you need help in the electrical department, do yourself a favor and ask for Micia. He's polite, professional, and genuinely cares about helping customers. Home Depot is lucky to have him! read more

There are a couple things about this home Depot that distinguish it from other home depots in the area, not all of them in a good way. The first thing that I would say about this Costco, which is a positive, is its location. It feels closer to the city, and to where you need to be then other locations, which feel really far out on the outskirts of the valley. The next thing that I would say is the parking lot is a mixed bag. First of all, it's extremely difficult to get in and out of. I don't know who made the decisions of the entrances and exits to this parking lot, but they need to not ever be in that position again. Once you're into the parking lot the parking lot is a good size, and it's not shared, both of which are huge positives. As for the store itself, this location feels a little smaller than other locations. Even the Hollywood location of home Depot feels larger than this location. The inside of the store just feels cramped, the eyes aisles feel small, it also feels like they don't have as big of a selection of certain items and certain tools that you might be looking for. I don't have anything to base that off, other than my own feelings, but that's certainly the way that it seems. So I like this home Depot but every time I go I'm reminded of how much I hate getting into and out of the parking lot. But other than that, I do like going to this home Depot location. read more

I literally drive farther because Cypress Park is so much better than this location. This is the Armenian Home Depot - so whatever that means to you - it's accurate here as well. Why must I feel like I am inconveniencing their employees when I am asking for them to get something on a shelf? Garden area is also sort of lacking in comparison to other locations. Parking sucks too. 4 lanes so you might be parking a half a mile away. Just go to one of the other 3 in the area general area. read more

One that really stood out was Matt in the paint department , he greeted me asked if I needed help, and actually took me to the aisle I need to go. Visiting this Home Depot was a tad awkward with many solicitors in the parking lot and around the block. I came for a quick key duplicate, and the staff member who helped me was fairly short and unwelcoming. Thankfully self checkout made this a quicker process and minimized further interactions. I was surprised at how late they were open til (8 or 9pm, I forget) and how "unbusy" it was but that probably had to do with the time of day (early Sunday evening). Every Home Depot is filled with uninformed people just blurting out aisle numbers. And NEVER asking any questions or guiding you to find the item. I was sent to six different aisles/departments in search for "corner guards" -- an item I used to pick up at my local hardware store before they closed. If you own any property or have had to do any rental updates or home quick fixes you know what this item is. I'm 50yo and this is something you should be able to run into a hardware store and purchase. Quick grab and go. No one (and I mean NO ONE) at the Home Depot in Glendale had a clue what this item was: "Corner guards. Vinyl beading. Corner protectors." (Pick one!) they (all of the FIVE) workers I asked knew of none of these terms. It was pathetic. Everyone I asked just stared at their phones and said nothing and just replied with, Yeah, we don't carry anything like that. I stopped another shopper in the same aisle--a middle-aged person. They knew in an instant exactly what I was referring to. I was flabbergasted. I'm so tired of these self check big box stores with workers who don't have a clue. Not one. Hello! HD workers! Wake up! You carry this item online!! And you could have told me that in the store! I guess this is what our society has come to accept. Poor service. Zero help. This is the reason small businesses are dying. Tried to return 2 $15 items WITH A RECEIPT, to only be told by Alexandra the "manager" of the return department that I would not be able to get a refund on the item. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told condescendingly that she was the manager. Would not offer any other solution until things got heated then finally offered a store credit even though the receipt clearly states returns accepted for 90 days and even provides the date that this 90 days ends. I have filed a complaint with Home Depot corporate as well. No issue with Home Depot, specific issue with Alexandra in returns. Horrible rep and experience. I took the items back to next closest Home Depot you provided a refund on 3 items back to my credit card, not even a store credit. I'll never visit the Glendale location again read more

Don't make the mistake of parking your car in the lot - a poorly-maintained parking stop where the rebar was sticking up a good 2.5-3 inches ripped half my engine cover off and damaged my front bumper. You'd think the employees at *Home Depot* would have the tools, resources and wit it requires to sand that down so customers aren't paying THOUSANDS of dollars just to go and shop in their store. We love the annual Christmas tree lot here at Home Depot. They usually set up the trees right after Thanksgiving and the hours are the same as the store : 6a.m. - 10p.m. We come back every year because the prices are reasonable and the tree selections are overall nice. Customer service is very helpful . Once you purchase your Christmas tree, the workers will adjust the tree height and trimmings to your liking. Downside? They don't deliver Christmas trees to your house. They WILL ;however, help tie the tree to your car so you can safely transport it to your destination. read more

I was in need of a new toilet, and I did my research. The Glacier Bay Power Flush is the best overall toilet and it's only $159 at Home Depot. Glacier Bay is a Home Depot brand of toilet and it's significantly cheaper and better than American Standard Champion toilets. I've seen Youtube videos of Glacier Bay Power Flush destroying American Champion toilets in terms of performance and it's ability to flush huge amounts of items without clogging. I don't take a dump often, but when I do I dump huge. Glacier Bay Power Flush can flush down large portions without clogging and at a much cheaper price than their competitors. This place is a mess. Employees are not helpful at all, as they avoid you all together, if they see you are looking for an item you can't find. Other employees are just socializing with each other, at the pay by yourself counters, while customers are struggling to figure out why the scanner is not scanning an item. ** Dogs Welcome** I didn't have Betty with me as it was too hot. She was home in the a/c for this trip. I had a few questions about wood stain and I happened to find a gem Robert who works for Behr at various Home Depots in the area. Robert gave me some great ideas and lots of info. Some outside the box ideas too! Did you know that your info and favourite paint colours can be saved in their system in the paint department? I used historical landmark reproduction colours on a rental in Bungalow Heaven in Pasadena around 2005. I remembered one colour name but my binder with all paint info, etc disappeared during a move so I don't have that info anymore. If I had known that could have been saved I'd have the other 2 colours. Robert saved one and helped me find a close second to one of the other colours and saved that for me in the system. This can be looked up with your phone number. Parking lot was half full, found a line that moved quickly. Cashier wasn't so friendly but it was hot and maybe she was about to leave for the day when I walked up. I was looking for 24x36 plexi/ acrylic sheet to replace broken glass in a poster frame. They didn't have it but Erika was very friendly and helpful. read more

He said he didn't work in that section and asked if I wanted him to find someone to help me. I said yes and then I waited and waited.
