As others have said, this Home Depot is definitely in an "out of the way" location and I had to use my GPS to find it. I came here to get some plants as part of a gift I was giving. The garden center was well stocked, though when I asked an employee a question about potting soil for the succulents I was buying, he gave me an answer that was contradicted by the info. printed on the actual bags of dirt. I'm glad I took the time to verify what he told me, as it wasn't correct! I asked another employee if there was somewhere I could find a box, as I had several small plants and needed something to carry them in. I basically got a shoulder shrug and was told there might be some inside the store. I walked off and went up and down the aisles in the store until I found my own. The place was closing and I knew I wouldn't have time to go home, try my idea, and come back. If my idea didn't work, they would be closed before I could come back. I tried to speak to someone that worked there but no one had an idea on how to address my problem. Finally a young kid recommended that I speak to a guy named Ed. Ed ended up knowing exactly what I was going through and was able to reconnect an additional idea to try. Thanks to him, I was able to finish the project last night and not have to wait until today. This is the other Home Depot I used to shop in a lot when I lived in Hialeah and the one closest to my old house in that city. I came here because I wanted to buy a new Christmas tree. I had gone to another Home Depot location and the tree I wanted they had run out off. They told me this location have a few left. I came and looked around and found it. But couldn't find the boxes to take one home. It took me a while to flag an employee to help, but I eventually was able to load the tree into my box. Had a great visit here. The associate that assisted me was super nice and attentive. He directed me right where I needed to go. I only came in to buy flower pots to make a gift for my son's teacher as an end of the year gift. Love the fact that they have an outside self checkout line. Very convenient and make checkout fast! Just how I like it. I know some of the associate don't like the self checkout lines because it could lead to future job loss. And while I am not promoting it, it seems to be the trend throughout society and something that is going to eventually happen in other areas of our life. It is what it is. People want to be in and out and not wait behind customers who picked up a wrong item or don't know what they need. And no worries Home Depot, this comment did not come from anyone at this location. I asked for a 4 foot xmas tree. The guy said they only have 6 feet. I asked if one wonky on the top or bottom would be 4 ish asfter shaving. Nope. So whatever. Paid the extra 30. HR last said, reason why she was not choosing me, it's because I needed to improve my English not because of the customers, it's actually because of the corporate people that visit the store, and ask questions to the sales associate, and due to my no perfect English, I wasn't going to be able to reply to corporate people. Worst home depot. No one knows what theyre doing. I went in for a pallet of 60 lbs concrete mix. I had already paid for and went to tell an employee who operates the forklift. He double checked for me to see if they had any left because they had soldout. I went to the customer service desk to exchange it and purchase 80 lbs concrete mix. The cashier was somehow confused and ran to the back to check when i had already told her they were out. She left and had me waiting an additional 10-15 minutes just to come back and ask if i wanted an 80 lbs palltet. Returned me the money and told me to go to a regular cashier and remake the new purchase. After I questioned her she then made the transaction for me. What is so hard or difficult to understand that i wanted to make an exchange. And after i had told her somebody checked for me that they were soldout of my original purchase. read more

In these efficient business times, if you get keys to the office, you have to go and get them done yourself. This is where the Home Depot in Hialeah came in. I passed it on the way back home from work, and had seen it prior from State Road 112. Yes, it's a little hard to get to even through the depths of Hialeah itself so it played to my hobby of Urban Exploration. So anyway, back to my keys: I parked at one entrance, and asked an employee going on break where the key maker was. She pointed me out - with a smile! When I get there, no one was there and another one went to page the employee. Five minutes later, I officially became a keyholder and was on my way. Minus one star for almost all of the cash registers being self-checkout (and one of them being cash only today). however there were enough employees on the floor. Therefore, at least for the key department, service was excellent and I know where to go back. read more

I was amazed at how poor this stores customer service is. As you can see I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but this was out of hand. I had initially purchased an item online for pick up from a different store, but they didn't have it in stock. I then checked this store and they had seven, but online purchases were being fulfilled the next day. So we made the drive to the store and I find an associate from the flooring section and give him a printout of the item I'm looking for. We can't find it on the shelf, but when he checks his inventory he sees they actually have eight. He even recognizes the design, but they aren't on the shelf. Rather than go look somewhere else or seek out assistance, we proceed to just stand for another couple of minutes before he hands me the paper back. At this point we walk to the customer service desk and I explain what's happening and we walk back to the same department. This time the customer service associate finds the department supervisor. No engagement from this man, he didn't even make eye contact with his coworker, he just pointed off to the side and said they're there. Only they weren't, and I told him we had already checked earlier and he tells me then they aren't in stock. At this point the customer service associate interjects and says the inventory shows we have seven. To which the supervisor replied telling him that he's going to have to go zero that out later then. So of course I left frustrated and empty handed. The following day I called because the website still showed them as having 7. Maybe there would be a different employee on the morning shift. I gave them the item number, they left me on hold for forty minutes and never came back. Luckily I was able to find a similar product on Amazon, I just had to wait for it to ship. But I would gladly wait a week just to not have to interact with the unhelpful group you have working at this store. read more

After repeated bad experiences here, I nonetheless tried to get what I needed yet again from this Home Depot. I went to get two things... a shop vac filter for the brand of shop vac we purchased at Home Depot, and a couple of metal fan ceiling boxes. I also was returning a Leviton light switch that my wife picked up here a few days ago, but was missing parts and not operational, clearly having been put back on the shelf after the faulty switch was returned by another customer. As for the shop vac, they didn't have the correct filter... and there are four possible choices. I was in-store for 20 minutes, and the whole time they had the electrical aisles closed off. Apparently my mistake was getting there before 7:30 AM... that seems to be when they move pallets around. Employees were quick to direct me away from the area, but would not go get the parts I needed even between palate moving.... my attempts to ask were ignored. So, a total waste of time. read more

This is one of the Home Depot's I frequent in Miami. Overall, I have over 300+ trips to various Home Depots in Miami the last few years (Usually this one and 8th Street) and this one is the best. The parking and exit/loading area is very convenient. Parking is never an issue here. Accessibility is a lot better. The tool rental department is friendly and convenient. One of the worst customer service experiences ever. This is an update to a review I posted back in May. My special order was cancelled by the store after they claimed they called me and I didn't respond. Like I said before, the employee who called and left a message was unintelligible, and calling that store is an exercise in frustration. I finally went to see why it was cancelled, but they told me it was not cancelled, just that the order was in the stockroom. The manager said he would go check on it, but after waiting half an hour for him to return, I left. Yesterday I went back to get my money refunded. The store clerk told me the money had been refunded, according to the computer system, but it had not been, according to my bank account. Again I asked to speak to the manager, but the employee said he was very busy and it might take a long time. Again, I waited half an hour, and no manager. Finally I ended up filing a claim with my bank and that's how I got my money back. What a fucking bunch of relentless assholes. read more

I'm very disappointing with the Home Depot , I purchase some construction material as described on invoice order ID # H6378-51615 at your Hialeah Store located a 950 SE 12th Street. Hialeah Fl. 33010. Order was schedule for delivery any time form 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM said order was never deliver to me and your delivery team didn't even took the time to inform me that the order was no going to be deliver. But the worse of all is that I called your customer service department at this store 6 times starting at 10:00 AM to get an update about my delivery, but no body answer my calls, I was left oh hold for over 45 minutes the 1st time, then the 2 time I hold waiting to talk to somebody for over 30 minutes before I got disconnected. The other 4 time I did not hold I just called trying to talk to a person an it was impossible, it should be because you don't have nobody to take care of customers calls. I have canceled my order due to your irresponsibility, because if I do not go to your store I would never know the status of my delivery. I can't say that I won't visit your store again, because your just 2 blocks away from home. But I will try to avoid all I possibly can any future visit. As others have noted, this Home Depot is extremely filthy and dusty. Not just normal home store dusty, but unbearable to shop for more than 15 minutes. Every product you pickup is coated in dust. I started driving to the Coconut Grove location further away which is much more clean. If any management reads this, please take a day or two to clean and wipe down this place. It would be worth it to close the store a few days and wash it from top to bottom. Its unbearable to breathe after a few minutes. read more

Home Depot (generally, not this specific store) has the very worst delivery service possible. Please don't use it. You will miss days of work waiting for delivery you were told was scheduled and spend hours and hours on the phone, only to be provided misinformation. The customer service people try to please but don't have any ability to change anything so it's like talking to a brick. There is something deeply flawed with their process of home delivery and installation, and the function on their website for this is a complete failure. I'm a general contractor. Time to time I have to go to Home Depot to purchase different items. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. This is my fifth visit to this Home Depot and not once have I been able to find what I need everyone that works there shows no care about they're job and the Home Depot is poorly organized to find anything yourself. If Home Depot corporate would come and walk this location they they will realize the millions of sales they lose every day because of this. Their always out of stock. Pallets of material are left in the middle of the aisles sometimes which is a safety issue for customers and employees. The place looks like it's never been cleaned. Was disappointed with the customer service, tried to ask an employee a question he looked at me and kept walking, the first person I asked for help just pointed me to the direction of where I needed to go and what aisle to find them in. Asked another one a question showed him what I needed, he didn't even know where it was located and once I told him where they are he left me on my own to find it for myself, prior to asking him for help he was just standing there...doing nothing. I was n hold for over an hour. Do not deal with this store. I called four different times today. The machine picks up and puts you on hold. I called at 5 pm and was on hold for 33 minutes and never spoke to a person. I called back at 7. Pm and was on hold ( never speaking to a person) for 26 minutes before getting disconnected. I called right back and was connected from hold to a man and I told him my entire problem and he said, OK, please hang on and for the next 37minutes I sat on hold. I knew which washer and dryer that I wanted when I walked in. The lady who helped me was very sweet, I think her name was spelled Layques. In the short interaction, you could tell what a sweet lady she was. Very friendly and smiled. She made sure that I had everything on my order that I needed and explained the paperwork from the order to me. She checked my military discount to the sale to make sure I was getting the best deal.
