For the second time, we went to this Wade Green Kennesaw Home Depot to get wheat straw and/or pine straw. For the second time, we could see both in the trucks next to the store but, also for the second time, they refused to come out to unlock the truck to give us the straw. They kept saying "we're out" when my friend and I could see directly in the truck and there was plenty of straw. Maybe just lazy or something else but I've also noticed many of the employees cannot answer simple questions. read more

Last night we went looking to buy Christmas lights with my daughter. They had a great selection of trees with lights on and all kinds of different decorations for outside and inside your home and business. I had a special question about old tree lights that had stopped working. Alex, a very helpful young man, went to look for an expert to assist me. After a short wait, Tracy came and explained that I should try to check out the plug at the end of the string of lights. By replacing the fuse. I might get the lights working again. That was a great advise. She even opened a box of Christmas tree lights to show me how to do that. Her willingness and knowledge to take the time with a customer was very well appreciated. Tracy shared with me how much she has enjoyed working for this company and how she enjoys interacting with customers. You don't get that often anymore. Ordered a weed eater for pickup online but when I got there, there were none in stock. Caroline was very helpful and got me set up on another for the same price. Unfortunately that one did not work out of the box and would not crank with all appropriate steps taken. I came back in the next day to exchange that one and Seth, Jesse, and Blake helped me. I don't mean to make this out of a racial issue. my Wife and I like this particular location (Wade Green). But everything always goes well until we reach checkout. you have a staff at checkout that consists of Indian, or middle eastern decent who treat us as if we are about to commit a crime. They hover over us, and even Stan in front of us in our personal space as if blocking us from leaving while we scan our products. We very much so feel racially profiled! I actually had to say something to one of these employees about being in my Wife's personal space. This is NOT how you retain good customers. If this happens again, I will not only wri a scaving rev, but I will take legal action against the employee who offends, profiles or violates our personal space or safety. read more

I am slowly becoming annoyed with this location. I have visited here on multiple occasions and have had to return items that were faulty. The customer service reps were nice, but today I'm in happy! I have been standing at the smart home section and I counted at least 5 employees that passed me and noone offered assistance. 2 that did pass me asked other people if they needed help. One person offered to get help but noone return. The little information screens in front of the item doesnt even work. I'm just standing here looking around. All I wanted was a floodlights with the camera that I saw previously. I may have to go to another location!! Update: Finally Yasha asked me if I needed help and I explained to her my frustration and she quickly got help. Tonya came over and provided the information I needed. I didn't buy anything, but came to get some ideas for our new house. I found several helpful items here that I didn't see at other Home Depot's. I probably should t even right this review. I should just be glad they were open considering the shape of our country during this pandemic but I am so unsatisfied with the curb side pickup and there POOR EXCUSE for what happened and there TOTAL DISREGARD OF MY WIFES QUESTIONS about it... so, I'm gonna shorten this an make it quick.. we do curbside.. we get there. We call and they tell us, be out shortly.. someone is supposed to 1)bring your stuff to car. 2)look at your Id so that they know it's going to proper vehicle.. well after 10min or so we go ahead an pop trunk.. several minutes later we see a employee walking towards the car with what appeared to be a couple of things.. wife said, cant be ours because we bought 5gal bottle of water an a cpl other items around that size.. well, she was wrong.. guy walked right past our car doors, never even acknowledged us. Dropped 1 tiny bag in trunk an kept walking not even making eye contact or asking for any type of identification... wife looks at me an says, he must be going back for the rest.. they had everything in stock but 2 small items that are coming by mail.. which still havent arrived... so we waited another 5min or so and nothing.. wife calls again an the guy says, yes that was your complete order.. umm NO it was not even close... she spends 10 min arguing with them then suddenly out comes another guy who has a box of tile in his hand with a cpl more items.. he apologizes for the 1st guy and says he FOUND the rest of my order.. keep in mind, the guy/girl on phone argued that we got all our order ALREADY... anyhow, nope, still not all of our order.. we show the guy everything on paper that we ordered.. well the 2 main things we came for weren't there.. he say, let me go look again but I think we are out of 1 an the other was cancelled.. well he checks an comes out again... says sorry I'm told we are out... so we are both ki day pissed off by this point.. not at the 2nd guy but with every thing else.. we chose to not take it out on him.. so we go to leave.. as we are driving away I see 2 different custo.ers coming out with 1 of the exact items I was told they were out of.. we finally get home from this wasted trip basically.. we get online and we see where they claim they still have like 30 in stock.. we call again.. this time they say to us, well you cancelled those items.. Oh, NO WE DID NOT.. they were the main reason we went... they say yes you did well the print out we have after purchasing these items says we did not cancel them and we DID pay for them.. long story short it turned into a complete clusterf...k.. and whoever wife talked to was not helpful at all an not friendly either.. we live less than a mile from here, but I can say this . I love this Home Depot. It's dog-friendly, and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. It's so helpful to be able to throw my little sidekick into the car with me and go on my weekly Home Depot run. A NEW DIRECTION! This Home Depot is certainly moving in a new direction with great bold signage and a clear effort to cater to home owners. The set-up is more "homeowner friendly" and less "construction worker" with all of their materials conveniently displayed and staged in a more inviting manner. The tile, countertop materials and flooring are all conveniently displayed in close proximity. The store was very well staffed today and we were frequently offered assistance as we browsed the store. Unfortunately when I think of Home Depot, I still think of "builder grade" simply because this is the level of quality that they carry when it comes to cabinets, fixtures and other items. We were actually looking for a "drop in" tub but they didn't have any available for viewing. The tubs they had were not very attractive or substantial. While their competitor has elevated to include modern, easy to clean, chair height toilets, they are lagging behind with the 90's version. They really are just too basic for me. I am trying to elevate my space, not purchase more of the same. If you just want to replace your materials with the same, this is your place. However, if you are looking to elevate your surroundings, you may want to consider other options. I do enjoy their gardening department and this is often where you are likely to find me if I am visiting the store. This store has made some great changes and I hope that they keep moving forward and become even more of an asset to the local community. read more

I requested a contractor for a bathroom remodel through home depot. Only one contractor responded and came out. The guy said he'd email an estimate to me. That was in Oct. I've never received an email. So that wasnt very helpful. They shouldnt provide contractors that dont respond or follow through. I wont be doing that again. It seems like people dont want to work or care if they even get the job. Maybe Home Depot needs to screen their contractors better. So now I have to find a private business to do the work. read more

He not only assisted me in finding what I needed but also assisted in finding what I needed for installation along with giving me some additional Information on what I can use in my future home to help with my acoustic needs . Had a Home Depot employee approach me at check to do a quick survey. I said okay real quick and it was quick! The survey was about the quality of your home water. Once completed they said that I will be contacted at a later date to receive a $20 gift card... Okay great! I said. About a week later I was contacted by Home Depot stating they were sending someone to my home for a extremely quick absolutely FREE in Home water test with NO purchase obligations. They also said once complete the will give me a $20 gift card for my time... Okay great! I said. The water tester showed up at my home and she was very nice but, no joke TWO HOUR LONG SALES!!!!! I'm In sales and could tell this was a scripted 100% commission type of deal! The reason she stayed so long was to try and close a $12,000 dollar water whole home water filtration system. LMAO . i dealt with brett at home depot and a garage door installer hired through home depot. the installer was an idiot and had no idea what he was doing and i was promised by brett it would be fixed and after phone after phone call of promises nothing was fixed. the installed ran wires across my ceiling instead of using electricity that was set up for garage door. never the less an electrition was on site to help with any of the electrical. the installer was rude and was using profanity while kids were present. The electrition was worried and stayed longer to keep me and kids safe. Brett did nothing and his promises were empty!!! read more

Very disappointed with this Home Depot! I bought appliances on December 11, 2019 and requested them to be delivered on December 30, 2019. 48 hours before I receive a voicemail that stated my delivery date has been moved to Saturday, January 25, 2020. Almost an entire month later! I bought a plane ticket to be present for the delivery and after being on the phone with Home Depot and GE for 2 hours (while at the airport for my flight) I discovered it was only the dishwasher that was on backorder. I ask them, since I am flying in for this delivery is it anything they can do to have something delivered on the 30th due to the inconvenience. GE says no, sorry. I told them I'm not available on January 25, 2020 and they offered me an even later date. So I asked is their a guarantee that the appliances will be delivered in January and I was told no once again. When I called the store I actually purchased the appliances from, I was told to call back later. This has been the most inconvenient experience I have had with both Home Depot and GE. I will more than likely cancel my order and only make small purchases from Home Depot. read more

The qualifications to work the Customer Service Desk, at the Shiloh Road location, must be that you can talk more to other customer service clerks than you do to the customers; that you ask the customer "whatchu need", as opposed to "hello how can I help you"; or that when making a credit card payment, the clerk is so busy appearing annoyed that she has a customer that she pays no attention to what the customer is saying and; without confirming the amount makes the payment for the WRONG amount! Then with additional nerve she becomes exacerbated when I pointed out her error. Annoyed by yet another bad experience at the Shiloh Road home depot, I have decided to travel the extra miles to another one where the staff at least appears to be, paid enough to care. What's so amazing to me about this stores(or any store for that matter) really bad customer service is, if there were NO customers there would be NO jobs.
