I had previously given this Home Depot a higher rating years ago. However, things have gone downhill quickly here. I essentially built my house with materials from this Home Depot - Doors, windows, flooring, roofing, plumbing, electrical, trim, paint, etc. Probably spent over $400,000 at this location over the past few years. However, they keep coming up short. I bought an 80 gallon hot water heater that was dead on arrival. Did an exchange but all they had were 50 gallon heaters. That's all they gave me. No money back for the difference. Also had them install my 2 garage doors. But their installer went out of business. I then noticed on one of the garage doors where the opener bracket attaches to the top of the door, the installer did not pit on the top rail reinforcing rail where the opener should attach. Instead they installed it directly to the door sheet metal. I didn't notice this until it tore the sheet metal. I went to Home Depot to have them address it. They refused. - Also the doors we ordered for the entire house came in as a lower quality, thinner door than what we were shown at the store. - Last straw occurred tonight. I went in on Saturday to buy a new zero turn mower. I found the one I wanted for $3,199. They had 3 left, and all had the same tag. But I forgot to bring in my HD 24 month incentive tag. I told them I'd come back during the week with the tag. Went in tonight with the incentive tag, but they had new tags in these mowers for $3,799. I went to customer service. They looked into but did not do anything. I'm done with this place. read more

This Home Depot is hit and miss on inventory. It seems like most things I need I need to go West Knoxville or order on line. What this store is good at, the most part, is customer service. The staff is friendly and courteous. The ladies at the return desk are always helpful, even when I return items without a receipt. On Saturday September 20, 2025 I had to get six 90 pound large pavers. As I struggled to lift and move them to the cart I noticed a Home Depot employee standing 25 feet behind me, kind of hidden in a corner. He was standing there holding two orange flags. There was no forklift in the area so I don't know what he was doing. What I do know what he was doing was watching a 68 year old man struggling with these pavers and not offering to help. After paying for the pavers I rolled the cart to my truck dreading lifting them up. Out of nowhere a Home Depot employee showed up offing to help me. He introduced himself as Nick. Nick was extremely friendly and respectful . He helped me lifting these pavers. When done he shook my hand and thanked me for shopping at Home Depot. Great job Nick. read more

Went to lumber and couldn't find anyone to help. My husband went in. They said to go around to the side of the building by the roll up doors but don't go to the back of the building. Bought a grill and paid for it to be assembled and delivered. It was delivered half assembled and every door was broken. From Lenior City storeThe knobs for the gas control were bent and scratched some parts missing. Photos included in proof of delivery where somebody else's house and somebody else's grill. If I could leave ZERO stars that would be very accurate! We needed new countertops...We went in and ordered Granite - About a week later "Mike the measurer" from Home Depot comes out (with all this fancy equipment) Measures ONE area - and tells us very matter of factly that we need to get our cabinets SHIMED - because they are 3/4 -1 inch OFF - He said he'd tell his people our situation and they would call Home Depot and Home Depot would get in touch with us - We NEVER received a phone call from Home Depot - So, WE called Home Depot to find out what we needed to do or who we needed to contact - we were told by a Home Depot employee that "they got SOME KIND of message, but never heard of a situation like ours, and they didn't know what to tell us" We called several different contractors / handyman services to help us with this issue - however a lot of them were very hesitant to help us because a kitchen sink (with a garbage disposal & water lines) were involved - We did eventually, find a few that were willing to take on this "ha ha nightmare" - (we had more than one come out) and the guys that did come out all said the same thing: "Its NOT your cabinets - The countertop is rotting and sagging and that's why the measurements were off" The Home Depot measure guy NEVER took the time to properly evaluate the entire situation - Appeared that his "cut" wasn't enough. Went to H.D. in Lenoir city Tn to get plumbing needs and could not find what I went after. After 10 minutes it went looking for anyone who could help me. Came across three gentleman and one of them said they would get in touch with someone to help me. NO ONE. I waited 10 more minutes, then I was gone. This is a great Home Depot! The parking lot has Pro Contractors parking near the lumber end of the building, wide spacing for maneuvering. The employees are friendly and helpful, and the people at the Return/ Mail Order window have always been spot on, knowledgeable and professional. read more

Worst Home Depot For customer service. Went to buy the Milwaukee M12 hacksaw promo deal (Pick one of 3 free tools as an added item). All these items are locked up at the displays and require someone to get them for the customer for EVERY purchase. Notified TWO employees at the PRO desk (20 feet away and can see me waiting at the end display). I waited 25 minutes and no one came. The two employees left the Pro desk 5 min after I asked since there was no one requesting services at the pro desk. IT's not like any employees were busy helping other customers (I'd wait my turn). There were plenty of employees walking through the store, and as soon as I'd make eye contact, they would turn away or turn down a different aisle. The store wasn't busy at this time. I went to customer service after waiting and hoped to get someone there, but the 3 employees behind the counter were too busy discussing weekend plans (not work related) they didn't even ask what I wanted even though I was the only one waiting. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me once shame on me, so I only waited a few minutes before I left. I will not return to that store, and I'll try to buy from another company either on line or at their location when ever possible. read more

We purchased an LG washer/dryer set from Home Depot in Lenoir City Tn. They were delivered January 11, 2022. The washer leaked from underneath and was flooding the laundry room before the delivery truck got out of the driveway. We refused the washer. It took two weeks, January 25, 2022, to get a replacement washer which also leaked so we refused that one. I called the Home Depot/LG support number and was told I would receiver a replacement in two more weeks, February 12, 2022. When I didn't receive a call confirming this, I called a second time and was assured the delivery date was still February 12, 2022. On Friday, February 11, 2022, I still had not received a confirmation call for this appointment, so I again called the support line for the third time. This time I was told the appointment had been cancelled but the agent didn't know why and advised it would take two to three business days to find out what had happened. I called again February 14, 2022 and was told my entire order had been cancelled and had been referred to "LG corporate" by the agent I spoke with on the 11th. I was then advised that I needed to call back on the 15th to find out when I could expect a replacement washing machine, but it would probably be another two weeks before Home Depot could deliver it. Apparently, LG could not be bothered to call and advise what was being done to fix the problem they created, and they would not do anything to expedite shipment of a replacement. In the meantime, we are having to go to the laundromat and do two weeks' worth of laundry which is expensive. I would expect LG to bend over backwards to accommodate us after two of their machines were defective. This appalling customer service to say the least. read more

Had carpet installed on 5-2013 by Home Depot . A father and sons team showed up and did the install. A few months ago in noticed the seams were becoming more visible and you could see where the seam tape had left a depression in the carpet, maybe seam iron was to hot? Home Depot sent an installer to look at it, he said that I was vacuuming in the wrong direction. Then he fluffed up the carpet at the seams and asked can I see it now. We still paying for this. I'm happy with the carpet but very displeased with install practices. Carpet was also installed in one room in 3 square pieces, looks like quilt . I will take my home business else where... shame on them! read more

This Home Depot wont accept my husbands VA card in order to give us a discount - even though he has a service connected disability. He's a combat veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan and is a Purple Heart recipient. Not great, even by big-box store standards. Every time I have come here, which is about 10, it is utterly cluttered, disorganized, and deserted (as far as workers are concerned). Seriously, don't know how this store meets operational requirements. I worked for the same company, but in a store across town, about 15 minutes away, and we sold/worked/organized circles around this place. Being that I worked for the same company in the same area for a few years, I know how it works, and it ain't happening here. I'd save my time and frustration, and drive the 15 minutes across town to their sister store. read more

If you order parts over the internet to be shipped to the Lenoir City Home depot make sure you have ALL the items on the package, I order 2 sets of curtain holders and only one came in, I request the other one and they told me it was already on the box. but unfortunately I did no check on the store and when I went home there was only one. I went back to the store and ask the customer service attendant and she try to re-order the piece, but 2 days later the manager called Phil call me and told me that the piece was in the box (he was not even on the desk when I receive the box). When I told him that I will work it out differently he just say OK and hangup, he doesn't even try to solve the problem. Covid or not!! Worse customer service !!Had kitchen cabinets with counter tops custom made for my home. It took 3 months to get the cabinets and had issues from the start! They didn't use the full space I asked for so they had to remeasure and add cabinets to fill the empty space. They broke cabinets during delivery, had to replace one and parts for another. They called me and said come get my parts and cabinet so I could fix!! Wrong they damaged it and had to make a point it was their fault they need to fix it!! The woman that built my cabinets on her software was messed up. Fillers were wrong width and took another month to get one filler and it was wrong when I got that one. The lady told be I didn't know what I was doing and should have paid then to put up my cabinets and that when I got very LOUD!! This supposed to be a place that values DIY and cabinets are not hard to put up. I had the schematics and all measurements to put them up. I just didn't have the correct fillers and cause drawers not to open if I installed they way she built them on her software. There was never an apology from anyone!! I had 8 months worth of patience and blew up when the one piece I needed was not what was discussed and was told I was wrong that I never asked for that!! I had pictures and videos. Even pointed out that what I got was wrong according to the measurements on her software build. This is DIY store and they take pride in saying that but will try to belittle someone when they question their mistakes. I'm done!! read more

My husband, a 6 year Veteran of the US Navy, and I came into Home Depot in Lenoir City TN tonight. We showed his VA card, as we always do as we used to get a 10% discount because of his prior service. Tonight the Manager told us he only gets the discount if he is active now, a 20 year veteran or a disabled veteran. Not only is this discriminatory to the other Veterans who wrote a blank check of their lives for this Country, but it in essence states my husbands service is not as worthy as others. The manager was not helpful at all and stated that his cashiers that gave us this discount up until tonight were not good employees and did the wrong thing by giving us this discount. What a shame that Home Depot discriminates against Veterans this way. Lowes will get our business from here on out as they give ALL Veterans a 10% discount and Home Depot will miss out on approx $5,000 worth of sales from this Veteran and his family because it will all be going to Lowes. read more

If I could rate a ZERO, I would. This was the most f***ed up experience with a major hardware store I have ever been exposed to. I was given so many delivery dates it was ridiculous. I wasted a whole day at home waiting for a delivery that never showed up. Then I had your people transfer me to the carrier. She stated that the item would be delivered the next day, which it was. I had an online chat with someone at the carrier the day of delivery and she stated that it can only be delivered to my town on Wednesdays, so I scheduled it for 6/6 and went out. SUPRISE, the item was in my driveway when I got home. I will be using this ridiculous experience to determine where I make my future purchases. I will also be posting this experience online so people will beware or your screwed up system of giving the customer accurate information on their delivery of your merchandise. read more

Not happy at all with Home Depot in Lenoir City. Spent a bundle of money to redo our kitchen last fall, and there are still some areas that need to be addressed. The area under the counter is STILL not finished and there are some small areas of the wall damaged from the installation that have not been addressed. for anyone thinking about buying carpet from home depot in lenoir city tn. please don't. my husband and I spent $5000.00 on carpet in the fall of 2017. a year later the seams started to show and unravel .we made some phone calls to the store they asked for photos we sent them .they sent someone from the company that installed it and at first he couldn't find our home gave directions and he finally found it.at first he said he didn't know why he was even here and had a smart ass attitude. I showed him the seams showing and the stains on the stain proof and pet friendly carpet we purchased. he looked at it and said to us that he has never seen carpet do this before. he said he would contact home depot and they would get back to us. we thought thank goodness we are finally getting some where. we waited and waited and no phone call. we had to call them and what we heard next from home depot made us enraged. the guy told home depot that it was our fault that we abused the carpet and also we had to many animals. my husband went through his cell phone and found the guys number where he had called us because he was lost. my husband asked him why did he tell us one thing and then turn around and tell home depot something different. this guys answer blew us away he said I told you what you wanted to hear and I told home depot what they wanted to hear.my husband told him I would hate to think you were representing my company and then told him what a low life piece of shit he really was. the manager Cameron said that he would send someone to fix the seams but that that does not satisfy us because the stains on our $5000.00 ( pet friendly and stain proof carpet) look terrible. I have told friends and family don't buy carpet from home depot and go through the hell we have been through.
