This location is convenient, with plenty of parking in the front. It's usually always busy, regardless of the day or time of week. Mornings will be packed with contractors and repair guys. Weekends and evenings will have everyday DIYers browsing for the latest home improvement ideas. There's a contractor entrance (PRO), and the main entrance. Inventory is usually pretty well stocked and you can find most things you need. You can also pre-order online and do store pick up. Pick up is at the customer service area. They've also been updating and migrating over to self check out, and now, even have the scanning guns where you check out simply by picking using the scanner. All in all, a decent HD location and prices are always pretty reasonable. read more

I went to the customer service first, to return an A/C filter I bought. It was the wrong size (of course) and Alejandro was extremely nice and helpful with me. He told me where to go and get the part I needed. I paid​ at the self​-checkout the register and I left. The price was right and if it doesn't work I can always go back to exchange for the right one. I had ordered 2 large expensive items for in store pick up. When item arrived, I went to the store asked to pick up the items at customer service desk. I also asked for help to load them. The lady said oh do not worry, person bringing items will help you. When the items arrived, I asked the guy with the pony tail for help. he simply dropped off the 2 boxes and left. Lucky for me there were people in the parking lot that I paid a few dollars to and they helped me load the items. This particular home depot has a bunch of lazy employees. Awful attitude towards costumers. Employees here do not give three f**** about costumer service. I've never had a bad experience before but today 08/24/19 at 9:20 pm the employees were just plain rude. Probably tired since it was late but that is no excuse to treat potential costumers in a bad way. Annabelle I believe was her name didn't do a good job at explaining prices nor was barely nice when explaining things. They tried selling us a BROKEN and BENT couch for exterior and when we refused to take it they barely cared. Never felt more annoyed at an employee. For oversized Halloween and Christmas decorations, this is the place. You can get any lumber you buy here cut, though they will only do straight cuts for you. The return policy in the garden section is great, because you have 1 year to bring back any plant that has died, so keep your receipt. read more

I'm that chick who LOVES Home Depot. I really, really do. I can spend hours in a Home Depot. However, this Home Depot location is not the best. There is never anyone around to help in the Garden department. You have to walk to the cashier and she has to call someone. Inside the store is a little better. There are more associates on the floor, and they do seem knowledgeable. My biggest complaint with this location is when you are trying to buy a Christmas tree. HORRIBLEEEEEEE experience. Really brings the grinch out in me. Every year the experience gets worse and worse. Last year the guy had the nerve to tell me he could only open three trees for me. Wtf is that?! What if all three of them sucked? This year when I went it was the day after Thanksgiving, probably one of the busiest days for tree buying and they seemed completely unprepared and understaffed. There was absolutely NO ONE in the tent to help cut the string off the trees or help. I basically got lucky and found a pair of pliers lying around, then proceeded to use the rough edge on them to saw off the string from the trees. After I would get the string off I was tasked with shaking the tree out and lifting them up to pound them on the ground to open them up. Getting a good look at the tree was difficult considering I was the one holding the tree. A tree is better evaluated from some distance. I finally found a tree, no thanks to ANYONE from Home Depot. I dragged my tree to the register, sweaty and dirty. Absolutely horrible. I plan to call corporate to address this. I have a friend who works at Home Depot in Georgia and she said they open ALL the trees when they arrive, so they can be seen and have time to really open up. I would like to share the terrible phone call I received this morning from my mother crying because of an experience that she had at this store. My dad had made the line for the self service check. the employee that was standing at the self service check out by the name of Michelle was extremely rude when she noticed my dad. had mistakenly cut the line. My dad is 75 years old and most people his age his eyes sight is not the best. Michelle rudely ask my dad "Didn't you see the line? How did you not see the line?" She raised her tone of voice and became more aggressive. My mom noticed Michelle being rude to my dad and cut in and asked what was going on. That's when Michelle proceded to insult both my parents in Spanish saying "una mujer decrépita" which in English translates to old worn out woman. Michelle told my dad that she could not believe he was married to my mother and that she felt bad for him for dealing with an old hag like my mother.....Both my parents are elderly and it is a shame and it disgusts me that Michelle is working at this Home Depot insulting and verbally abusing elderly who knows how many more she has quietly insulted and they don't have someone to speak out for them like I am doing now for my parents. Michelle has no idea if my mother is suffering from a depression and here she is insulting her. What's going on with this place? I went this morning to get a few things, and I walked by someone who works there, and I said good morning., The employee just grunted. That is quite the norm here at this location. Not sure if it happens at others. The majority of the staff walk by you and don't even ask if you need help. And when you do ask them for help, it is as if you're disturbing them. Some have even rolled their eyes. When I got to the register, the cashier wouldn't even hand me the items that I just bought. Instead, he just pointed at them, so I can pick then up myself. I got discriminated on for being black! I went to rent the Home Depot box truck & was told that the truck wasn't working. 2 trucks showed in the online system. Be for heading out I realize that I didn't have a recite so I called the store and was told that if I bring my I'd I could get store credit no problem.. Purchased a Sansung Dishwasher black. Home Depot delivered a Sansung Dishwasher Stainless Steel. I didn't notice at the time of delivery. Three days later I went to Home Depot to exchange it for the correct dishwasher. Home Depot refused because is wasn't withing 48 hours. Please note that the diswasher that was delivered incorrectly was never taken out of the original package. I suggest purchasing appliances where there is a better costumer service. I placed an order on October 4th for a pre-hung door. The agent was very nice and cheerfully accepted my American Express payment of $264.86. I was notified on October 10 that there was a delay in the shipment because the dock workers take Columbus Day off. I opened Home Depot case # 08773271. I later found out this was a blatant lie. At any rate, the door was ordered and I did not want to go through the hassle of ordering it again. I went to the Kendall location yesterday to pick it up. Not only was it the wrong item, the item they attempted to give me was damaged. The customer service people were extremely rude. I was made to wait for 45 minutes as they retrieved the wrong item. The gentleman at the front counter introduced me to the store manager "Lisa" and said very audibly "Here, you deal with this guy". The guy that brought the door told me "I wouldn't install this piece of shit". I am not someone to be "dealt with". I am a former loyal customer, I am a very small part of the reason these people are here. I have never been so insulted by a retail employee. I ended up going to Lowe's and ordering the door there. Upon my return to the store "Lisa" looked at me, rolled her eyes and left the counter. When I asked Julio at the counter that I would like to speak to her, he flippantly told me "she is out to lunch". Upon trying to get my money back from this gentleman, he proceeded to tell me "what do you want me to do man, I just started here". Since I could not get my money back from the store, I was forced to call AMEX to reverse the charges. I called your customer support department. I was told my money could not be refunded. I had to beg and plead with two different supervisors for an hour before finally the last one hesitantly agreed to refund my money. I am horrified that Home Depot attempted to keep my money for an incorrect item. I am standing here in disbelief that I have spent over two hours attempting to correct your mistake. Incidentally, the door I ordered from Lowes was $80 cheaper and they offered me no interest financing for 6 months. This Home Depot is where my dreams go to die. I absolutely hate coming here, and so does everyone who works here apparently. My house is located in between this Home Depot and the one in Bird Road, and what a difference. The employees at this Home Depot have the worst attitude, nobody knows anything, items are priced wrong, literally a mess. I asked for the manager the other day and she simply brushed me off, said she would fix the price and told me to walk to customer service. For an establishment that has employees who aren't teenagers or getting paid minimum wage, you would think they would know better. My favorite line is "Not my department" Hmmm...your shirt says Home Depot though, you should still be able to at least direct me to the right person. Home depot is conveniently located about 5 minutes away from my home. Thank goodness because I accidentally broke my key in my french door and had to get a key right away. Traffic sucks in kendall but we got there and the store was emptier then usual which was perfect, wanted to be in and out. I noticed they had alot of sales going on for tools and beautiful plants. No need for distraction though so went right to the associate handling the keys section. Now I thought it would be a problem the way it broke but he let us know it would be fine, I was relieved. It took us no time for a replacement key and to make a duplicate just in case this happens again. The registers were open but had people in line so we opted for the self check out which I found easy and very convenient. I'm telling you we were in and out in less then ten minutes. Perfect time to get home, lock our door and get ready to prep dinner. So happy the whole process wasn't as hectic as my breaking the key in the lock. Lol read more

It was quick to find the junk we were buying. We got in and out in 5 minutes. Self check-out was a breeze. Parking not a mess.
