We bought an LG washing machine, replacing our old LG (10 year warranty). After a short few months it started to destroy our clothes. It first accord after washing our sheets. They looks like some sharp object would be in the drum and pull strands out of the fabric. We checked the drum, stroked over every inch with our hands, used cotton balls to see if anything stuck - nothing! I called customer service (we ordered our washer directly from LG). They told us to run the drum clean cycle 5 times in a row (that's 7.5 hours!) that should solve the problem. We did and the next load of laundry had the same problem. We called LG again, send them pictures as requested, were told they investigate and call back. They never did. Today was the 6th time I called and also send an email to the president. After telling them that I will write this review and post it everywhere I was asked by the supervisor if I use the right cycle to wash my laundry. I am 69 years old and know how to do laundry. Finally I was told he would pass it on to their service center which will contact me to find out if it is a manufactory defect. This goes on now for over 6 weeks. The service center contacted us via text and asked what are the defective parts - how am I supposed to know? The next message was they reach out if they have someone available. I would stay away from LG which is hard to say because we have LG everywhere from fridge to TVs but if something is wrong it is the worse customer service you ever experience. read more

had a very disappointing experience at the paint department of Home Depot (Callle 8). An employee named Richard was extremely rude and uncaring. When I asked for help, he told me to wait until he finished talking with his friends. I waited 35 minutes, and he never came to assist me. Eventually, another employee noticed me and provided the help I needed. I truly appreciate that employee, but the behavior I experienced from Richard shows a lack of basic courtesy and humanity. It is very sad to see someone with this attitude working in a department that is so important to customer service. I hope management addresses this situation, as customers deserve respect and assistance. read more

So I purchased online a new GE profile washing machine for about $700 arranged a delivery for this Saturday today everything seemed to have gone smoothly. The driver calls me with five minutes of notice telling me that the delivery will be in five minutes meanwhile, I'm about 20 minutes away. He didn't seem to care. Mistake number one Home Depot should've called me with at least half an hour of notice that's common sense but luckily I was able to get a Neighbor to sign for the washing machine.. mistake number two Home Depot did not complete the Haul away service which I paid for . I called the customer service line, and the lady said that since the Holloway service was not added at the point of sale, it's tough luck for me. I distinctly remember adding the haul away service. She could not have cared less. I'm not only a Home Depot customer I spent 1010s of thousands of dollars a year there, but I'm also a Home Depot stockholder. This sort of experience is very disturbing and causing me to take pause. They have failed in every measure of customer satisfaction. read more

Buyer beware - this store does not always have the same pricing as things are supposed to cost according to their own website. I recently needed an item this store had in stock. I looked up the model on the Home Depot website, selected this particular store in Coconut Grove and requested it only show me only the items that were "in stock at store today". This location had what I needed in stock, for $34.96. I nearly purchased it on the internet for in-store pickup, but instead decided to just drive to the store and grab one. When I found the item I wanted, the price shown on the shelf tag was $41.96 - $7 more expensive than it was supposed to be. I went to the self-checkout and was charged $41.96 before tax. I grabbed a screenshot of the website showing the price as $7 cheaper vs. what I was charged, I went to the customer service desk and explained what happened. The guy there bluntly stated that the store didn't need to honor the prices on the Home Depot website. I said if that's the case, I'd just return the one I bought, use my phone to order another one via their website for the cheaper price and walk back into the store and pick it up, having paid $7 less for the same exact thing. The guy said in this case he'd make an adjustment and charge me what was listed on the internet, but acted as if he was doing me a favor. After the transaction, he was sure to mention again that the store does not have to charge what's indicated on their own website. Diana stagg is one of the worst people/manager I have ever been around she targets her associates and lies on her documentation. Will do whatever to cheat the system. For one she lies about her RTV credits makes all of her associates say we have this crown bolt when we don't have it and is sent for destruction and thrown into the compactor. She was manipulating the data and the counts to ensure she made inventory numbers due to falsifying crown bolt RTV. Never see a big lier then this person. I have frequented this Home Depot quite a few times. It is in a great location conveniently off US1 in the Grove and a few steps from Milam's Supermarket. The parking lot is always packed, but i always find a nice shaded parking space. The store is huge and nicely organized. I was told that it is sort of a boutique version of a larger Home Depot concept, so I wouldn't know what is missing because it seems to be well stocked. For the most part the staff is lovely. Except for one miserable lady with long black hair with a dismissive and nasty personality who also has horrendous customer service skills but she was only one bad apple because the rest are really, helpful, and respectful. Honorable mention to Francisco in lighting who is absolutely a gem! He is patient, through, knowledgable, helpful, and kind. PROTECT FRANCISCO AT ALL COSTS! They do not make them like Francisco anymore. I needed a few home goods items and for what I purchased the value is right on point. The Home Depot is an extremely fun place to be. I am particularly fond of this location. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The shelves are always fully stocked with things I sometimes can't seem to find at other locations. The plants are beautiful and there is always a huge selection. In December this place becomes a winter wonderful with all the beautiful decorations, Christmas trees, and poinsettias. I gotten some of my best Christmas decorations from here. I rented a 15' moving truck from here. Let me tell you, the difference between this and a UHaul place is night and day. The Home Depot truck was clean, the tires brakes, interior, and ramp were fully functional and in perfect working order. The hand cart was strapped to the inside of the truck and INCLUDED in the rental price. Nobody hustled me to buy "insurance" for the truck (looking at you shady Uhaul) Nobody pretended that the truck I reserved wasn't available and I needed to rent a more expensive truck (again. Shady Uhaul) The staff is my local, friendly and incredibly professional HD staff. Refreshing. No weird gas station Uhaul creeper. In fact, the ONE AND ONLY reason that this isn't a full 5 star rating is that you can't reserve a truck beforehand. So this may be a dealbreaker for you. Be aware of that and show up early. Also: no weird, shady surprise after-charges (like the creepy Uhaul places). Straight up: the price is the real price from your receipt. I called to the service center to order delivery again. Next day delivery was cancelled again. I called back to reschedule. Third day it was canceled again. Then I got a call from callcenter. They told me that because it does not avail in a show. The women from service center proposed me to cancel order and get refund. And purchase with her in another Home Depot shop I did it. Next day I got refrigerator. When I opened it it was huge dent on a refrigerator corner. I called back to support. Support promise me to recall. After some time I got a call from a Home Depot. The person proposed to me to make refund 100$ to keep it and not change. I agree to take refund. After 10 days was passed. I did not get any refund. I started to call back to service center and ask to refund or take the fridge back. They told they they call me back. Nobody call me back. Next day I called back again to the same person and she said that she can not help. And the end I feel cheated, I bought new refrigerator and I got with a dent. Often times their associates are retired plumbers or electricians who are happy to describe it, how to fix it, and where to buy it---whether its at Home Depot or not! This location is conveniently located in Coconut Grove. Although you'll need to break out your GPS to find it as this locale is behind a strip mall off US 1. This location is smaller than you'd expect from Home Depot stores and has a smaller variety of products, for example a fully stocked garden center. Also, if you need to rent a van or truck to load / unload your purchases, then you will need to come to the SW 8th street Home Depot location, which is also the larger of the two locations which is less than 3 miles away, due North. Whenever you go into a Home Depot though prepare to do some walking. If you are like me you probably came into Home Depot with a mental list of items you needed but often left, tired legs, with a few extra unnecessary items (that never got returned and will be sitting in drawer to be discovered by your grandchildren). Save yourself the trouble of being side-tracked by the thousands of products in the store, or worse forgetting your list, by asking a friendly associate right at the front desk where the items are. read more

Here is the type of CUSTOM install work performed by THD here in miami. I ordered CUSTOM blinds and shades to have a higher level of quality and to ensure my requirements were met by a reputable company. Much to my dismay, what I received was anything but QUALITY OR CUSTOM. From the salesperson not having knowledge of the product being sold to the district manager incapable of holding away to correct a two month defective product and incompetent installation. This is the first shade to fall. This happened while lowering the shade. I could hardly fathom what would have happened if I were actually trying to raise. If you notice, the screws pulled out of the drywall and to improvise for stability, the installer cheated the product by drilling an additional screw thru the end of the shade. The problem is that THD makes this out to be a customer fault. These incompetent individuals lack the basic ability to contract qualified competent skilled tradesmen to install simple roller blinds. My "black out" Shades barely cover the window and does nothing to block out the light; even with a Tropical storm feeder band pouring down outside. I would have been much better off with garbage bags as drapes. I ordered a new refrigerator on Friday with a delivery on Wednesday. Now there is a back order that delays the delivery yet another week. This is after the original refrigerator fell apart several times and the fix doesn't work. What does THD expect from its customers, accept safety ridden installation of junkyard products at NeimanMarcus prices the pull a Trump explanation of not accepting responsibility by "can't win them all" attitudes? THD really needs to step up to the plate and make this right within 24 hours and make substantial compensative concessions for blundering such a simple project and delivery promise. This would be different if It were truly k-mart quality and pricing but this is CUSTOM paid installation of CUSTOM products which are in excess of $6,000.00. I've driven here in multiple occasions only to find that the computer says X available and are no where to be found! We asked for a chain to be cut to size and the gentleman we originally asked said that was not his department so he would call the guy who was assigned to that section. To my surprise, it was not a guy but it was a delightful woman named Maria who had a smile on her face as she explained that the machine they typically use was out of order so she would have to cut the chain manually. She was very apologetic for the delay but remained extremely pleasant. We then asked her a question about another part and she quickly brought us over to the section where it was. I'd like to point out that this is the section where we had asked the first guy for assistance so I can only assume that this was NOT Maria's section, but she went out of her way regardless. I'm not sure if this a widespread issue among all their stores or isolated to the Coconut Grove location, but nonetheless I think Home Depot has permanently lost a customer. It all started when our current washer/dryer unit in our apartment broke last week. My wife and I have been doing extensive research to find a new unit that would both fit our needs, budget and limited space. After finding the right unit we then researched the internet to find the best price. We noticed that the price was pretty much the same throughout all major appliance stores, BUT Home Depot had theirs listed for $.30 more. Therefore, we wanted to take advantage of Home Depot's price match guarantee policy which is explicitly listed on their website and states that Home Depot will beat any competitor price and beat it by 10%. Here is the quote directly from their website "If any competitor tries, we'll beat their price by 10%. Guaranteed." Anyways, we called this particular Home Depot to see if we can order the unit over the phone and ask them to apply their policy. After speaking with and being transferred multiple times, we finally reached the manager, Rebecca, who informed us that Home Depot doesn't honor this policy anymore (funny it's listed all over your website) but she would make an exception and apply it this one time. She then transferred us to another associate who verified the Home Depot policy. After getting the green light from the manager, she transferred us to the associate in the appliance department to complete the order and schedule a delivery. After being transferred to the appliance department, the associate had no idea why were being transferred and then once again asked the manager for clarification of what was going on. After about 10 minutes of being on hold, the associate returned and said they would honor their policy and give 10% off the washer/dryer unit. Over the next hour, the associate verified that we had the necessary space, and parts to install the new unit. Over that time span, we continuously asked what the total price was, only to be told she would tell us at the end. Finally the end came and of course the price was wrong. The associate never applied the 10% from the price match policy and then argued with us that the price was the same or they would be willing to adjust it by the $.30 difference. I'm sorry Home Depot, that is NOT your policy!!! The associate then raised her voice and continued to argue with us for about 5 minutes basically telling us how we didn't understand their policy. My wife and I are both very educated and know how to read plain English. There is absolutely NOTHING convoluted or ambiguous about your price match policy. BTW my wife and I found the same appliance, and a discount code and WILL be ordering from Lowes. It's quite a shame how Home Depot handled this situation and corporations CANNOT pick and choose which policies to accept. If you no longer honor that policy or no longer wish to, then REMOVE IT FROM YOUR WEBSITE!! My wife and I have about $10,000 worth of upgrades to our condo and we will NEVER use Home Depot again. He wasn't even condescending when I asked "when did light bulbs get so complicated?!?!" Not as extensive a selection as at other Home Depots, but it's usually pretty easy to find what you need. It's the garden department that suffers the most here - it's a tiny corner of the store. So, if you need much more than a pot or two, it might be wise to make the trip to a larger Home Depot with a greater selection of dirt and wood chips. The self check-out is easy and quick - which correlates to this particular store's greatest strength - it's convenient and easy to get to, park at, find what you need, and leave.
