If it's a day that ends in Y, you can pretty much guarantee I'll be here. It's so convenient and they just handle every part of the purchasing process about as well as could be expected. If I need something standard, boom they have it. If I need to return it, boom no questions asked. Many of the employees skew older, and they just know EVERYTHING. Can't count all the times I've asked a random question and they just start speaking a foreign language to me and offer instant help. I was going to seal an exterior porch I just built and the guy instantly was like, you need spar urethane. In my head I'm like, what's that? But it was exactly what I needed. Prices are typical for any big box store so while sometimes you're wondering why a 4x8 sheet of plywood is my take home pay for the month, that's just everywhere. BEWARE THEY SCAM YOU AND WONT GIVE YOU YOUR ORDER. This store is absolutely terrible. We purchased a club cadet riding lawnmower on Saturday may 2 2026. They said next day delivery. But then say oh wait no we can't do that it will come Thursday may 7 then oh no wait we can't do that but it will come Friday may 8 for sure. They gave me a window of 6am-8pm they can't give us a smaller window. So Friday comes we take the day off because we have a 14 hour window. Well guess what they send an email. No call to apologize but an email we didn't see right away saying no can't come Friday now it will be Tuesday may 12 with another 14 hour window. It's not like they don't have them in stock they had 10 at the store when we placed the order. Now Friday they have 7 in stock. They blame the delivery company. I don't care it's their responsibility to get me the item when promised. We paid over 3000 dollars and they won't deliver it to us. They keep making excuses with no apology just oh well if we don't want to wait they can just refund us. I've never had this problem with Lowe's ever. This is exactly why I don't want to ever shop at Home Depot again. They take your money then tell you they can refund you but that will take up to a week also. I just had the craziest experience at the Monticello Home Depot. I went to the store for numerous items and among those items was the DeWalt 12 bin storage container which in the store is $47 and online on your website is two for $67. I asked the associate if you would honor your own stores online price and he said yes but take it to customer service. I went to customer service and the lady that helped me was anything but helpful. She refused to honor the price and refused to even try. I asked if there's anyone else in the store that might be able to help me if she's said nope she's the only one I asked her if she knew how ridiculous that sounded and she said she didn't care. This was a horrible experience for a store. I shop at all the time and then I went out in the parking lot and promptly ordered all the stuff for the correct price to get the to be delivered to my house tomorrow! read more

They never have anything that I need need. Nothing is stocked and all of the items are put in a location that you would never think to look. Some of the workers are a polite and some of them are straight up d*** wads. One of the workers had the audacity to walk away when I asked a simple question on locating something. The assistant manager at the Monticello store is condescending and sarcastic. I bought $500 of paint from a home depot an hour away. The paint that was labeled the same color did not match. He said, "I'd send you back to the store that mixed it." That store is now n hour from where I live. I said, "I thought Home Depot is a national store." he said, "It is. Worst delivery experience ever. Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves for continuing their relationship with Linn Star Transfer. In short, Home Depot's contacted appliance delivery service, Linn Star Transfer, pulled a no-show/no call on an appliance delivery and install appointment they confirmed the day prior. This review and one-star rating is for one specific transaction and does not refer to my overall satisfaction with HD. If you want details, read on. Our delivery of a new refrigerator we purchased in-person from HD 7/31 (it was at their warehouse) was scheduled for delivery Saturday, 8/21. I turned down a work shift to be available that day. Friday, 8/20, I received an automated call confirming the appointment for delivery between 0930 - 1330 Saturday. The message said we'd receive a call 30 minutes before the installers arrive. We arranged our day with family to be available during those hours. Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, we emptied the contents of our refrigerator into our garage refrigerator and coolers. The delivery window came and went with no refrigerator and no call. I assumed they were just running late and pushed out our family plans a little further. Finally, a little after 3pm, I called the number in Linnstars message for an update. The only good thing in this review is that LInn Star answered the phone fairly quickly without endless prompts or being on hold. The lady checked my order and told me they had never received the refrigerator from HD so it would not be delivered. I voiced my extreme displeasure with the appointment being confirmed and then broken, after the disruption to our family for the day, and without the basic courtesy of a phone call telling us that weren't coming. They offered no apology or plan to recover from this service failure. I told them I was done talking to them and would take the matter up with HD. I called HD shared the above story with them. They checked our order and confirmed it was not in stock, with no information or estimate as to when it would be. I conveyed my profound disappointment in their service failure and cancelled our order. I did receive an apology from the HD employee. I'd avoid any HD delivery or purchase involving final mile delivery by Linn Star Transfer. read more

We bought a Tommy Dock system for our Grandkids to use. They shorted us several parts . Instead of making it right, we got the, "we don't know how to fix the issue " from the store people. Evidently they don't have the parts, but we can drive up to Brainerd, and buy them from ACE HARDWARE. Other than that, the people who were there, were very nice and helpful when it came to loading the items in our truck. Oh well. It's Sunday and I'm going to have a little coffee and then hit the road. read more

When I did get an associate he said they were out even though his scanner said they had 17. I looked above the rack and found them. This store is awful!!!! read more

I was very disappointed to see only one staff member had a mask on. No one was cleaning carts. No one asked customers to wear a mask. Sad. Such simple things to protect others, our family, and our elderly. Taking all my future business to Menards. All staff there wore masks, in-coming customers were asked to wear one, masks were provided, carts were cleaned. read more

I'm normally not one to complain but maybe the management can figure out how to make the wait less than 30 minutes to buy two bags of mulch. The worse part is that I waited in one line for 17 minutes when they knew there was an issue but didn't tell us - so I had to head to the back of a different line and start all over. We went there to look at counter top options and we had to wait for a forklift driver to pass the aisle, they had flags and everything. the most annoying thing was listening to that damn thing beep for the entire 20 minutes we were there. do none of them know how to operate a forklift or do they really think that everyone on every far corner of the store needs to hear them leave that stupid thing beeping while not moving for that long!? necessary?!?! I am highly disappointed with the level of service we received from Home Depot. My husband and I saved for years to replace the floor in our home. We spent a long time choosing the product and the services. This was to be our biggest renovation and with 3 kids we need the transition to be smooth. In the first place we were given a faulty lot number and the contractors contacted Home Depot to report that we were delivered a "substandard product." This was discovered after the first level of our home was demolished. The floor could not be completed and we were left with plywood under our feet for days. My husband and I found it difficult to speak with anyone who could answer our questions. No one could tell us when the new floor would arrive or when it might be installed. Whenever we called we were told the manager was "on break" or "at lunch." 3 days later our floor arrived and 5 days later a new crew showed up to install the floor and carpet. Sadly the carpet was the wrong color. It was labeled under the name of the carpet we chose so my husband signed for it not knowing it was not the correct shade. Additionally, the other crew left without installing the flooring. They decided that the slant in out hall was too steep and it would require a carpenter before a new floor could be installed. After 5 days of not having a floor we are told that we need to hire a carpenter. We would have done this immediately had we known in the first place. Again no one was available to speak with us or help us. We had paid in full and the Home depot was not taking our calls. We were left with the wrong color carpet and a plywood floor while my kitchen was packed up and my 3 kids were pulling slivers from their toes every day. It has been 3 weeks. We have since hired a new installation crew to install the floor. We have still not heard back from the home depot about the carpet installation or the money we are owed because they actually charged us for the "free" installation." We have contacted corporate with no response. Once this post is complete I will try the Better Business Bureau. Please do not spend your time and money here. I have never felt so disrespected or disappointed in a service. read more
