It was Mother's Day and I found a leak on my kitchen sink drain. Although I wanted my daughter to take me out and treat me, inside we decided to fix the cracked pipe ourselves. We started at this store in the plumbing section and what a treat it was. We were greeted by Tom, a vet, and the most helpful person I have EVER encountered at Home Depot ANYWHERE. He guided my daughter and I through everything we needed and even got us all the parts. We were able to repair two drain pipes (we found another cracked pipe after we started) and had the best bonding time ever. What an accomplished feeling, all thanks to Tom. read more

This location is five minutes from our home, but we are not always inclined to make this our first home improvement stop for projects. Here is why: Location: This store is far enough south to get folks from Gardener and Spring Hill to visit as well, so it can be extremely busy; especially on weekends. We were surprised that the store was empty when we came. It was after 6pm and my husband said it was very busy earlier in the day which is standard for a Saturday. Customer Service: 3/10 At least four employees passed by without acknowledging us or asking if we were doing okay. That's pretty standard for this store location. Luckily, we have been here enough times to know where everything is. I will say the folks at self-checkout are always friendly and willing to help. Diversity: 3/10 The HD location in south OP fares better in this aspect. The times we visit this store, we don't see a lot of diversity among the staff. There are a lot of women and some military veterans, which is a plus, but it can be better. They do have tenured staff members that have been at the store for more than fifteen years as well, which is beneficial if we need help finding something. Inventory: 2/10 I recently did an online order for pickup. The website said they had what I wanted but after placing the order, I got a call saying they did not have the item in stock. This was incredibly frustrating and I ended up going to Lowe's. This has happened several times now and one reason why we go to Menards or Lowe's first before coming here. Pricing: This is subjective because everything is expensive right now. It honestly depends on what you are looking for. Sometimes, items are cheaper at Lowe's or Menards and other times, HD has the item for the same price or cheaper. (If they have it in stock.) We've had good luck with bathroom hardware and fixtures and the paint is top notch! Overall: 6.75/10 It's Home Depot, so we know to expect. We get what we need and get out. I am with previous Yelpers-customer service at this location is what dampens the experience every time we visit. As mentioned before, we try Lowe's or Menards first before coming here, which is a bit further from our house. I will say the location on 95th and Metcalf is decent but further from home, so visits there are rare. read more

Absolutely atrocious service at this store, cashier Christina and Store manager Brent were very rude to me, they made fun of me and told me that I was stupid. I was just trying to return a few items and I did not have a receipt and because of this they treated me like I was a criminal. I was unable to return the items I was made fun of and I was laughed at because I did not have my receipt. Brent looked at me and said, "what a dummy you are". The two items equaled a total of $80.00 and they said sorry sir we cannot help you along with laughing and calling me names and also saying best of luck. I will never shop at this store again - it is by far the worst experience I have ever had in any retail store - I would prefer going anywhere other then to this store. read more

I'm not a fan of this store at all. Because of this store and their corporate office, we rarely shop at Home Depot anymore. Only if we can't find the product elsewhere. I had problems with two returns in this store in 2019. A $10 bag of lime that was damaged because they didn't properly tarp it to prevent water damage and a $80 bag of seed that failed to germinate properly (the bag is clearly listed as guaranteed and is listed under a 90 day return policy on the web page for the product). The charges had to be disputed with my credit card provider. Because of how Home Depot handled the transactions with my credit card provider, my credit card provider flagged the disputes as misrepresented by me and they closed my account. Because of how Home Depot handled the transactions, I ended up losing nearly $1000 in rewards money for the year. I addressed the problem with their store manager and their corporate office. I filed a BBB report. Their corporate office offered to directly refund the purchases to my credit card, but only if I signed an agreement to not litigate. It left me no other choice than to sign the agreement because I wanted the account reopened. In the end, the account didn't get reopened and I still lost my rewards money for the year. I ended up ordering full documentation of my dispute from my credit card provider, including the merchant's response. I can see now why they made me sign a non litigate agreement. They implied in writing to my credit card provider that I made no attempt to return the items. Home Depot has no idea how much business they recently lost because of this behavior. We recently bought all new windows and didn't choose them for the purchase ($14k lost), we purchased about $1000 in new toilets in the last month, $300 in exhaust fans for the bathrooms (had Lowe's price match them), as well as other purchases in the last year that add up to about $700. Good luck with your business model, Home Depot. I hope it was worth it over $90. . . read more

Worst Home Depot. The employees in the flooring and the appliance section never want to help. Prefer to sit at the desk and talk to each other. Asked for help 3 times and waited 20 mins for an employee to meet me by the blinds, never showed up so I left. There were 4 employees in this section but nobody felt the need to help me. The most someone did was page for assistance. Last time I came in at 8:30 pm and the same deal happened. I was given an excuse that the girl who usually works that area was on lunch. I drive 15-20 mins to this location because it is the closest, but I'll drive another 10 just to be guaranteed help. Hire and train your staff better Home Depot. read more

Not helpful. Employees either pretend not to see you and walk off when they notice you coming to them or they don't send help like they say they will. Employees never ask if you need help or offer to help you when you are trying to get material. They don't ask if you need help loading. There is never any employees around in the aisles to help anyway. It's like a ghost town. All the aisles and bay numbers are always wrong. Not the first time I've been here and seen the same thing either. read more

The staff at this home depot have been very helpful. Being that this is the closest to my home, this depot tends to get my home repair needs. Being that I am a first home owner I'm usually walking around lost with a messed up part. The staff here recognizes that look and are quick to ask if you need help. Even if I have repaired a certain item several times before and know where the part is. This staff usually will make sure that you are getting the right one. This depot service actually matches the commercials. No asterisks needed here. read more

Not going back. I get people don't want to wear masks. They suck, however I wear it out of respect to those who may be vulnerable. I saw that none of your employees wearing masks but I figured I could socially distance while respecting the choice of others and supporting a store that employs people in my community. But that's impossible when your employees don't even try. At least teach your employees not to get right up next to people during a pandemic. I finally had to tell two of them to back up. The managers suggestion was to order online and pick things up. How about this, I'll shop at Lowe's instead. read more

So I went into the store on Monday, 2/18/2019 at about 6pm to look at appliances that were advertised in their President's Day advertisement. I pull into the parking lot and there were fewer than 15 cars in the whole lot. I walk into the store and there were at least 6 employees around the front door. That sounded like a recipe for great, patient customer service. I get to appliances and there is one associate and no other customers. Well....we are looking at Ranges, some of which I had seen online and wanted to see in the store. My wife and I are discussing options and looking at different models and after about 5 to 7 minutes the single associate confess over and asks fairly rudely if we needed anything. We said not yet and both thought he was being short and rude but we just ignored it. We finally narrow it down to a specific model that I thought was available in store. That associate, named Aaron, comes back over and asked again, this time very rudely, if we needed anything. I mentioned the model I was interested in online. With the most condescending, rude, hateful tone he replied that they wouldn't have that. Then he takes me to the computer and proves it to me. Then with a "Now is there anything else?" With his hateful, arrogant, demeaning tone, we decided he wanted us gone. We ended up deciding we would shop from home rather than be treated so horrible. The reason why i have this a 2 star is that we were helped at the front customer service desk by a young, thinner guy with dark hair (unfortunately didn't get his name) who was enormously friendly and helpful. So the guy at the front desk would have been a 5 star. Aaron was one of the worst employees I have ever run into in my life and, since he evidently hates his job, should be fired. In summary, you might get a helpful employee or you might be treated like worthless trash. You roll the dice at this location. read more

The worst experience ever. Purchased and picked up 3 trees with my yard guy. my yard guy left his $8000 mower piece of equipment on home depot premises. 3 employees confirmed that the equipment was going to be safe and that they will watch it. Returned to pick up the equipment in less than an hour and the mower was gone. Two of these employees were also gone...very odd. This all happen during the day time, and the only people who know that I was leaving the mower were these 3 employees. We had to file a police report as this theft is consider a felony. Yet the worst part of the incident was the managers lack of emphathy. All she care was about going home since her shift was over. If I was the manager, I would be very concern about the type of employees that home depot hires.Never coming back to this store. Very very dissatisfied. read more

They put so many displays in the isles you can barely move your cart through the store. And as you try to navigate the store the employees will get in your way and expect you to stop and wait for them to finish what they are doing. Meaning what they are doing comes first . They are paid to be there and I am paying to be there. Several times in one visit I had to stop at the end of an isle and wait for a home Depot employee to pass or finish what they were doing because the Isle are half full of displays full of gimmicky items. When I asked for help with something an employee began leading me around the store as he looked for it himself. After 10 or so isle he said you know what let me get somebody who will no where your item is. This use to be a nice helpful store. Last time I was here they were out of the drywall I needed and when I went to get the more expensive green board that would work in its place they had a forklift blocking the item. After searching for five minutes I found someone to ask him to move it and he looked at me like I was ridiculous and walked away. A few minutes later someone showed up to move it so at least I think he told someone about the issue. read more
