I just had the worst delivery from them. My mom ordered a stove and refrigerator from Home Depot, not even that I chose this company but they're are contracted through them. When they took down the refrigerator it wasn't the color I ordered. I let them know and I am aware this is may or may not be an error on their end. I attempted to call my mom who was in the hospital at the moment and rather then give me LITERALLY three minutes to confirm the OWNER says, "We don't have time to wait." Either way they should have been installing the equipment, it would have taken time. They obviously were going to make time to install the stove which they just couldn't due to the way tile was set up which I am not upset about. But he could have given me THREE MINUTES. I never pull this card but as a single mother I've been waiting for this refrigerator and stove but they leave the it in the living room. Come on seriously? I was obviously paying to have these things installed because I cannot physically do it. I have two kids to feed and have been waiting for this so you can imagine my stress level AND my mom just told me she's in the hospital. I voice my feedback and all the helper says when I say I'm going to complain is, "We are an independent contractor." Home Depot SERIOUSLY needs to look into who they are contracting to represent and work for them. They have no accountability for their customer service or patience. In addition, when I said this he told me, "we have 25 other deliveries today." So I said, "Basically you have 25 other customers so I don't matter." He didn't even respond. This was beyond horrible. Please chose another company for your services. Home Depot please look into this. This is who you're choosing to represent your company. They have 25 other deliveries and you don't matter to them anyway. I made an order online and picked it up today. Unfortunately a couple of items were not what I ordered. I have found this to be the case at Lowes as well. The help that gets the stuff doesn't always get it right. However, I am going to rate the experience 5 stars, because the gentleman at the customer service desk, Rick, was so extremely helpful and knowledgeable, that he sorted everything out, and gave me a courtesy discount as well. By the way, Rick has an alternate spelling of his name, but I don't recall exactly what it was. he said he was a child of the sixties... no longer such a child. I bought a new washer with my husband and the salesperson was knowledgeable. It took a week for delivery, then I didn't get a full install because my faucets were corroded. Got new ones the next day and tried to use the washer. It sounded like a jackhammer on my concrete garage floor. I called for service. They came out the next day and levelled the machine. I did one load and it was fine. Next load, did not drain and spin. so I hit the drain and spin button again and it started. I am so surprized that this American made washer is such a pain. I tried to contact the store twice. I was on hold for 30 minutes each time before giving up. I tried CHAT on their website. They told me my return could only be done within 48 hrs of delivery. The salesperson told us we had 30 days. I am SO upset that I have a lemon, and now I'm stuck with it?! Next, I'm going into the store and see what can be done. Customer satisfaction? December 3, 2017 I went to HD to purchase shower walls. The first sales associate said that the shower walls and pan would work together. As I was shopping another sales associate (Eric) noticed my cart and said that the two would not work together bc they are 2 different brands. He proceeded to get me what I needed by the same manufacturer (Delta). One of the boxes he was pulling down was taped bc it was previously opened. He said he had taped it himself and that the product was in good condition. I get home and unbox it to see that one of the shower walls had a 4x4 hole in it cut out by a previous customer and returned. I had to go back to the store only to find out that they didn't have anymore showers in that brand and the nearest one was in Thousand Oaks. The store was expecting a delivery the following Tuesday. So instead of delivering me another shower door for free the best they would do was a 10% discount. Now that was approx $36 off. If delivery is $55 you mean to tell me they wouldn't just eat the $19 and deliver it for me for my troubles of having to go back and forth and waiting an extra 2 days. Shaking my Head!!! I expect more from HD. Here's a suggestion HD...check ALL returned merchandise BEFORE you put it back on the floor!!!! read more

I wanted to rent a drill for a quick project that I was doing on my truck. I literally needed to drill a hole in the dash of my truck. I went to the rental section and asked them if they could rent me a power drill. I told them what it was for and told them that I was literally going to need it for 10 minutes and I'd bring it right back. Not only did they save me from having to buy a drill bit that I wouldn't need after I drill (they apparently don't rent drill bits) but they prepped a power drill with a drill bit and didn't charge me. I left my wallet as collateral, took the drill, drilled and returned the tool less than 5 minutes later. Great customer service. I wish I could've gone out and bought these guys lunch. I'd definitely come back here to rent my tools. Thanks guys!! read more

This Home Depot in Oxnard has consistently been awful with regards customer service. I requested help in the tool aisle. They paged 3 times and no one showed up. Then I went to the air-tools aisle; same thing. I went to the pro-desk there was no one there. Finally I was told the pro-desk person was at lunch and there was no one else who could take the desk. I was finally able to get the store manager. He couldn't have cared less. What should have taken 10 minutes, took almost 45. To finally get rid of me the Manager told me they didn't carry what I wanted. I left with nothing. read more

This is my second horrible experience with Oxnard Home Depot! My first was when my dryer was not hooked to the outside vent, which allowed hot air and lint to escape into my home. This time, I have a dishwasher that won't dispense water into the unit. After a week of calling, they sent two different repair techs and neither has fixed or replaced the unit. I have an expensive piece of equipment that I've not been able to use even once. I am taking my concerns/complaints to the district manager because this store can't be trusted to manage their issues. They lost several thousand dollars in revenue from me with their poor service when I chose Lowe's to remodel my kitchen instead of them because of the constant aggravation. Paul in Customer returns. His behavior is appalling. I'm a logistics and visual planning manager in retail store. I deal with with customer concerns EVERY DAY and I was surprised at how unprofessional he was. I purchased 3 Items that morning for my grandmother and she didn't want them so I went back to the store 4 hours later to return them. He didn't Greet me, he just stood and stared at me. So I approached him and told him what I was needing to return with my receipt and he proceeded to ask me 3 times what was wrong with them, open the 3 boxes two different times. Ask me twice if I installed them and then asked me if it had packaging in side the box. (They were dummy security cameras) so after the 3 time he asked if something was wrong with them I told him they are non functioning cameras they don't work on purpose. And the packaging in the box question, I told him one of the boxes didn't have bubble wrap in it, someone here accepted the return and put it back on the shelf. He then punched the 3 boxes on the counter and began the return process. I do this routine stuff everyday. And I would never interrogate a customer the way he did. I understand now why everyone I know goes to Lowes in Ventura. They are staffed accordingly, it's a clean environment, they make you feel welcome, and they don't harass me about making a simple return. Whether he likes it or not he is the face of this company. He was is first impression of what home depo is when you walk in and the last face you will see when you leave the store. It's disgusting. He needs to be let go. read more

Home Depot is your one stop shopping venue for home improvement wares. Their paint department is dependable; I know this because my mom loves to paint the house and I also have been painting as well. They're helpful and offer quick and efficient service. Just look for someone with an orange apron if you're having trouble with something and they'll assist you. read more

I found much of the staff hard to approach or unfriendly. When picking up my paint from their paint section I felt I was being given misinformation because they wanted me to buy the more expensive product when I don't believe it was necessary. The paint staff the couple times I visited had an unfriendly air around them and made me feel unseen as a customer. Aside from the woes I encountered in the paint section I was Intensely pressured by a checkout clerk to open a Home Depot card when I did not want to. I felt he was taking advantage of me since I was alone and probably appeared as a naive 20 year old girl. I repeatedly expressed disinterest in my words and attitude that I did not want to open a card and he was dodgey when I would ask questions like "how does this work? Will it affect my credit?" To which I got no clear answers. He just kept saying no it's a good thing you will like having a Home Depot card and I felt strong armed into getting the card, which I am about to cancel anyway. I went in today to buy some herbs for my garden, and the girl at the register seemed very disinterested and answered the phone in the middle of helping me. she handed me receipt and didn't say anything as she kept talking on the phone. Once I got to my car, I looked at the receipt and realized that she had scanned an item one too many times, so I walked back and asked them to fix it and they sent me all the way over to customer service for a careless mistake they had made. They treat their customers very rude here and I would not recommend this place to anyone else. read more

This review isn't about the Home Depot store, but their installation service for water heaters. My girlfriend and I went to the Camarillo location on July16th, 2017 around 2p. We were looking for water heaters. The clerk at the store couldn't help us, but she did call the service that does the installation for them. She had a conversation with a gentleman about the installation program. After a list of costs and expenses, the total package was nearly $1,500 and they couldn't do the job until a week later. Ever have your water heater go out? No hot water!!! Well, we later called Lowes and they came in nearly $200 cheaper, could do the job two days later and offer a better guarantee!!!. Okay, so one store has a lower price... big deal, right? Well the HD guy came across as some flirty, cheesy used car salesman trying to get as much money out of my gf as he could. He seemed highly unprofessional and a poor reflection of HD. Never really considered Lowes until now. Never HD again! read more

I have been to the Oxnard HD hundreds of times, but typically know exactly what I want and where to find it. In that case, everything usually goes fine, if not, just go down the street to their biggest competitor. In the past, before I learned where everything was I also needed help and I had similar experiences as the others, poor customer service, if you can find it. Recently I tried to get granite counters and was surprised by just how incompetent the company was that HD was using to do the installation. After numerous tries, the woman at this other company was not ever able to learn how to spell my name, or my email address (my name, no code or numbers). It's a rather common name, so I can't understand why this tripped her up, but imagine what the work would be like if they can't spell a simple, common name? This was also supplied by HD, so it didn't seem necessary that I would need to repeat it to her numerous times over several days, but I did this anyway. If you know exactly what you want, where to find it, this place will work for you. It is not going to be a pleasant experience for the inexperienced/occasional, home repair person. read more

I had to track down an employee to ask questions about appliances, he said not my department and pointed to another employee walking by, I started to talk to him when another customer walked up and interrupted our conversation, without saying anything to me, he turns around and walks off with that customer to help her. When I asked him where he was going, he said they had to find another employee to help me. I waited and waited and no other employee showed up, finally I got someone to help me. DO NOT have Home Depot do any of your home improvements unless you like aggravation, getting bent over and being gouged. We are still in the process of getting our Bamboo flooring installed. It has now been over 2 months. JW Flooring is the absolute worst flooring company to deal with. They don't care because they are only contracted with Home Depot. We have delay after delay due to testing. So far the job is now almost doubled in cost. We spent $1300 in tests alone. Had to go to a motel for 2 nights. Boarded our cat for 2 days Spent almost double in the recommended floor adhesive and moisture sealers. I am so done with the whole process1! Do yourself a favor don't go to home depot for anything except maybe paint. read more

I would give less stars if I could. I have gone to other HD stores and have not had issues like the ones at this store. They have the worst customer service and the employees don't have any knowledge in the department they are working. First of all it's very hard to get someone to help you. When you do they screw things up. I have been trying to get new flooring and cannot find a competent person in that department. Last year I scheduled them to measure, and Insalation. I purchased the flooring and received the wrong product because the person ordered the wrong thing. I canceled everything and took back the flooring. I figured I'd try it again this year. The person that help me told me he scheduled them coming out to remeasure and gave me paperwork with the estimate. I took the day off and waited all day. No one came out. When I called customer service they said it was never ordered. I expect more from a store specially when I'm spending over $20,000. This was the last straw. I'm going elsewhere. read more

This review is for the Home Depot Appliance Delivery Service.I ordered a dishwasher for my rental property on November 23rd. First delivery wasn't available till mid December. I drove out 2 hours away from home to wait for the delivery person to show up. They were behind schedule and showed up close to 2 hours after the window time. Upon showing up the delivery man refused to install the dishwasher claiming there was a water valve that wasn't working. How did he know this? He isn't a plumber. He never tested the valves. But off he went and told me I needed to get the valve fixed before I could reschedule the delivery. I end up calling not 1 but 2 plumbers who told me there wasn't a problem with the valves after looking at them and testing them. I called home depot delivery and they say they will put in the notes it was taken care of and will come back out. I drive out again on delivery day 2 hours away from my house. I called the dispatch to see if the delivery driver is running on time and he gave me a time frame to expect him by. The delivery driver was supposed to call 30 minutes prior he did not. Then my neighbor calls me and tells me the driver is there. The neighbor opens up access to the house and I call the dispatch to let them know I am down the street that I never received a call that they were there but regardless they can start the work and I will sign for it when I arrive. The dispatcher Vincent tells me that is not a problem and that as long as they have access they can start the work. I am driving on my way there and my neighbor informs me that the drivers left and refused to install the dishwasher. I was livid after being told by the dispatcher that wasn't a problem. I attempted to have the dispatcher call the technicians to have them come back but he said they wouldn't! Horrible customer service, horrible technicians. I have 2 small children at home. SHAME ON YOU HOME DEPOT and your delivery team. I will never buy an appliance from you again. No wonder consumers affairs gives you 1 star. read more

Worse experience yet at this location. I have been shopping at this location since they opened, but today may have been my last visit ! I asked for help from an employee walking in my direction and he appeared to be agitated by my request. He was pushy and verbally aggressive when attempting to answer my question. Our encounter became confrontational to the point that he was no longer an employee but just an aggressive person in my presence. He eventually conceded to the obvious fact that he wasn't familiar with the product, but all he had to do was say so from the beginning. Wow. I will be returning the products that I purchased tomorrow, and I can't believe that I actually spent my money in this store after being treated like that ! Never again ! read more

I went here last week and was appalled at the lack of covid-19 protocols in place. Despite both a County and State order requiring masks and social distancing, there is no signage posted at the entrance and multiple employees informed me that wearing a face covering is "optional". It definitely IS NOT optional. Also, all shoppers are being forced to enter and exit through the crowded check out area where I even saw a manager without a mask shouting at employees, which spreads droplets further. I also saw a poor employee assisting a customer with no mask who was leaning 12 inches from his face at a register. This store has no care for their customers or employees! I called the customer care line after receiving a misinformed response from store employees. The customer svc rep had no information on what protocols were in place at this store. I called the County Health Department to report this store. The response from the County was that they had received numerous reports regarding Home Deport Stores within the County and are escalating the issue "up the chain" but are challenged to enforce due to a shortage of staff. In the meantime I'll be shopping elsewhere until this store follows the health orders and allows people to enter and exit through the garden center like Home Depots in other counties. read more

I used to work at this store way back in 2001 up to the end of 2004. Ever since , then the poor customer service already existed mostly on those department areas that needs customer assistance. I worked in the frontend as part-time cashier. And from that years that I work, and until now, I can see Home Depot customer service still sucks in all the department that customers needed assistance. There is no any changes or improvement the management did to make their customer service a little much better compared to their competitors. I do not know if the current store manager is still the same manager that we had managing the store before. And if he is, does he ever had anything implemented throughout his store to improve his employees customer service. Customer service be it in person and over the phone are very poor aside from getting to wait so long over the phone to have your call get picked up or answered. Then the worst thing, sales associate will say she will call you back to answer your issues /problems with your order, and she will never call you back to let you know what is the status now of your concerns/problems of the merchandise that you ordered or purchased. So you have to call the store back again and try to get in touch with that person and you go in the same process, then finding out that associate has gone for the day. Bummer and how sweet it is to know that your business were just taken for granted a more than thousand of dollars for them (Home Depot). So better do your business to other store that does the same business (home improvement). Save yourself for too much hassle and stress. Spend your hard-earned money to a store that value you as a human being and gives you the best service in return. read more

We have been shopping Home Depot for years. It was our store of choice. Not after today. We went to get a new window covering for our living room. Went to the department and there was no one there. We waited, and we waited. People came coming by and asking us if we had seen an employee. Finally, I walked up to customer service and asked them to please get someone to help us (actually all of us who were waiting). She said she would...never heard anything over the loud speaker. Went back and waited. Another couple came by twice asking if we had seen anyone. Finally after waiting way too long again, we left. What the heck is going on at Home Depot in Oxnard? Went to Lowe's. There were two people in the department and we were helped instantly. I guess Lowe's will now be getting our business. It is a shame. read more

Fake discount offer alert! Time waster alert! I got a Home depot credit card some time ago, hadn't bothered to use it. Last week I got an offer in the mail, '10% off any purchase up to $2000 if you use your card'. As it happens, I need a washer and dryer and the 10% off would come in handy. After carefully selecting the models I wanted I went into the store with my Home Depot credit card ready to buy. But no, after wasting my time and talking to his manager, they refused to give me the 10% off, claiming that the appliances I wanted were already discounted!? Really!? EVERY appliance in the store is offered for less than the list price, every day. That's a clever way to make their 10% discount offer worthless. So I went down the street to Lowes and got the EXACT same models for the EXACT same price, PLUS Lowes gave me 5% off for using their credit card. Home Depot's 10% offer was bogus, and so is their offer to match other store's prices, because I told them as I left that I was going to go to Lowes and get 5% off and they refused to match that as well. Beside that, Lowes had all the washing machines and dryers on display and Home Depot had NOT ONE gas dryer I could look at. Awful awful awful! read more

I waited 20 min 6 weeks ago for 1 can of paint before I left and went to Lowes and got it in 7 min complete. I waited three different days for 20 min or more before they could even find somebody to help me in flooring. Its a goust town in there when it comes to service. Walked into the Oxnard Home Depot and wasn't greeted. Eventually, I was treated with such disregard and attitude that I quickly got what I needed and left. I had many more things on my list but decided to drive to Lowe's where I have had great service in the past. The product itself worked great but I will bypass this Oxnard Home Depot next time and go to the Thousand Oaks store, as does my contractor. The paint department is worthless; I've learned from experience to go to the Camarillo store and get what I need including service; just recently my wife bought a new dishwasher and had it installed in my absence; it doesn't work, it did not work the day it was installed and they are stalling us to come and pick it up despite a visit from the GE representative who has declared the machine defunct from the get go! read more
