The company I work for has purchased dozens of appliances from Home Depot. We also purchase the 5 year protection plan. Occasionally, a repair is needed and we have to file a claim and work is done on a unit. Up until about a month ago, it was always a smooth operation. Now it is a nightmare. Home Depot makes promises they do not keep, they do not follow up in a timely manner if at all. I will recommend making our purchases elsewhere in the future. read more

We went camping in nearby Carpinteria. We started to set up camp and realized our power converter was dead. Nearby hardware stores in town were already closed and this Home Depot was the closest (even though it was still 30 minutes away). I was able to check on my phone through their website if they had what I needed in stock. It even told me what aisle to find it on. With an employees help, I was able to get in and out of there pretty quickly. read more

Zero stars AGAIN!!!! After dropping the ball with our counter tops, they mis measured our door so the wrong door was ordered. Everything Home Depot touches turns to ash!!! And good luck getting a refund from them...oh they'll issue it but the refund we were supposedly issued on 9/8 still has yet to show back up in our checking account (as of 9/21) so God only knows when the refund that they issued yesterday (9/20) is going to reappear. True to form, like with the counters and door, it's not THEIR fault it's the other business' fault. It's the bank; it's the contractors, not Home Depot...awful company - no one has a straight answer no one gives your the same answer, and now $5200 is floating around in the digisphere and the last person who had it was Home Depot. I would never ever buy from this store again! They sold me 300 tiles and when we were almost finished we noticed the color was different. We contacted them and the store mgr Ramon never contacted me. I went through corporate they just Bull shitted me saying it was my fault even though they are the ones who brought down the tile for me. I just showed them the one i wanted. Come to find out they sold me 90% of the tiles were a discontinued color. The other 10% were the new color. This has been a nightmare now i have to pull up all my tile and replace it. Pay a contractor double. Home depot wouldn't take any fault. No where on home depot tiles say check your dye lot # as a customer i wouldn't known that. The person who took it down should of known before selling me the tile. I wonder how many other ppl have dealt with this issue. read more

This review is for Roger (see photo). I'm working on a large project and often find myself shopping by myself without my workers. Today I had to pick up an order that was already paid for and I have no idea where to go. Oscar had Roger help me. He Took my paperwork said he would be right back he would go and load my items and then help me to my vehicle and previously I noticed him helping other customers and even knowing them by name and making small talk. I can't believe I encountered someone who actually likes their job. From now on , I will only go to the "contractors side" and ask for Roger! Kudos to him for having excellent customer service skills. Management I hope you take notice especially in this day in age where everywhere seems to be in a rush and so angry. People that work here stopped using their brains long long time ago. I came here with a long shopping list, spent an hour looking for what I needed and ended up leaving with just one item that wasn't even exactly what I needed. The customer service people were flirting in front of me instead of taking care of my issue. The cashier Samantha didn't bother to see that I am holding my own bag. She just threw my item into one of their plastic bags. When I pointed out that I have my own bag, she took the item out of the plastic bag, threw it into my cart, crumbled the brand new unused plastic bag and threw it into the trash behind register. All with words that "they don't like if we don't get rid of it". It is my closest Home Depot but I will not step a foot here again. Lowes is my best bet now. read more

I am only giving this Home Depot one star because the shipping service they have is absolute trash. I ordered a mini fridge from Home Depot on nov. 29th and needed it to get delivered on December 2nd. Ontrac received the fridge and held it at their facility because they thought that they needed an apartment number. I called them twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon to confirm the address does not need an apartment number. It is a condo so the address they were given is correct and I even provided them with a gate code number. I provided this information twice! I stayed home all day on the 4th to receive the package and they never showed up. There is no tracking information on the website for my package because it says it was suppose to be delivered dec 2nd. I am not able to get In contact with any on trac associate since no one ever answers their calls. I called about four time and waiting on hold for 30 mins every time and nobody would answer. The only way I was able to talk to them is through the Home Depot customer service who call them on their end. Awful service. I can see now why people never want to order online from Home Depot. Please get a new shipping carrier, it is very unprofessional to not deliver a package just because they "think" there was an apartment number. If they actually would have delivered the packaged they would have realized that it did not need an apartment number, it's a condo. Pay a shipping company that actually does their job. read more

Please be careful if you are purchasing appliances from here. The vendor Temco logistics is awful. The installer said the microwave could not be installed on tile. Funny that the old one was. Said that the supply valve was corroded for the dish washer. The plumber I hired did not need to replace it. I had to hire others to do the job they were paid for. The kicker is that Temco will not come back to haul away the old appliances. They told me I wen past the 30 day limit. I was not told of a time limit. I paid these people to do a job, that they will not do. I will never purchase an appliance from Home Depot again. I tried to complain to Home Depot. Went today to have blinds recut to size. The first cut was too long. I couldn't find anyone willing to help. First employee told me he called someone. Waited no one showed up. Flagged down a second employee said he would go get someone. Waited 20 minutes no one showed up. I saw another employee who was walking around not doing anything. I asked him if he knew how to cut blinds. He did and after 30 minutes finally got someone to help me. The employee mumbled and I couldn't understand what he was saying. Terrible customer service skills. It's been years since I've been to Home Depot because they treat customers like crap. I always go to Lowe's but they didn't have correct size of wood blinds. The Camarillo Home Depot can't help you enough. As usual store feels its Oxnard people so just terrible customer service unless it's to take your money. So upset right now. Went and picked up a special order for an upcoming install and it's all wrong. They ordered very expensive pieces of wood 6 feet long that I only need 2 feet from each one. It's unbelievable. The measure guy must of cared less what I had to say during the measure because he didn't order the right amount of stair nose, only enough for 2 stairs I have 14! I'm really wondering how the installation is going to go and if I'm going to be happy with the final product! So far, the initial quote sucked, the guy was a total idiot. The measure felt so rushed and obviously, based on my product the guy didn't careless, and the picking up of the product i ordered was a total fiasco. The only thing that went smooth to this point was the taking of my money!! Here's hoping for a better installation experience. read more

When I went in to the appliance section and saw they were have a sale on driers it took 5 mins to finally get help with buy the one I wanted then he range it up and told me the price which was a hundred dollars more than the sale price posted on the drier he then proceeded to argue with me of what the sign said and it took several times of ask for his manager for him to finally get him when the manager showed up he looked at the promotion tag and told the guy to give it to me for the price listed on it finally I had purchased it and was told I couldn't pick it up it had to be delivered in the end I had spend over half an hr. of my time arguing over a clearly labeled sales price stuck on the machine I won't buy appliances there ever again read more

I am not usually a fan of Home Depot but I must say they shocked me today!! I purchased a live Christmas tree from them on 12/4 and it was completely dry and dead by 12/19! Yeah, its big but so, so old. It seems like a dungeon in there with the dim lighting and the funky mildew smell. Last time I shopped there I needed some help and had to walk circles to find someone. When he didn't know the answer he took me to someone who did. Unfortunately he was too busy to stop and answer so I had to slow jog and keep up with him to try and get an answer. I purchased an LG Dishwasher LG7551WW from Home Depot. I have had 7 repair calls in 18 months. This appliance is a LEMON. The dishes are still dirty after a 2hour and 17 minute cycle with all the recommended detergents and rinse agents. It will not clean nor dry. HD no longer carries this model. Can't imagine why. Even though I have had the LG repair person here and the HD repair service it still will not clean. I have the extended service agreement so now I call every week. I will NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT. read more

Loudly ringing phone over PA system really detracts. I have been working with a custom bathroom specialist - about 4 hours into it now, over 3 days. The service has been wonderful, but the loudly ringing phone is just nerve wracking. I dread having to come into the store because of all the noise. After finally finding someone who I thought might be of assistance I noticed she was not wearing a face mask. I didn't really didn't want to go for her for assistance but seeing that help is so far and few between I would try to get her attention. While she was trying to find my product I noticed another employee with no mask and then another. Only employees were not wearing masks. I called the corporate headquarters and they were as evasive as the local store. It appears it is their choice to wear them or not but apparently they have no respect for their customers. In addition, they also have only self checkout. All of the scanners were unattended and I noticed no one was making any effort to clean them after customer use. It was at that point I put my purchases down and drove a few miles out of my way to Lowe's. If you want a store that doesn't care about the health of their customers, check out the home depot. If it was possible to give Home Depot a zero I would. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Save yourself $$ and headaches and go to Lowe's or anywhere else! Bought a dishwasher, refer, stove, microwave for a remodel (1000's of $$) and the handle on the dishwasher stuck out too far for a drawer to open and even though it was NEVER INSTALLED, still had all packaging, protection, etc. they wouldn't exchange it!!!! We ordered everything at the same time. If you want to order each appliance individually, make sure to install each piece one at a time within 48 hours of receiving the item - go with Home Depot. A pain to do but at least you will be protected from their super ridiculous exchange policy on a never used or installed appliances. read more

Home Depot is very accurate with their orders. They have always delivered earlier than expected and the product is always affective. It has been my go-to store as I use a lot of supplies. I buy a lot of tools from here all the time and the price is reasonably cheap for what your getting. read more

This review is in regard to the Home Depot in Oxnard California. As a long time customer of Home Depot I'm disappointed and discouraged that Home Depot is no longer the retailer they once were serving the community with consistent practices and respect. I purchased an item and attempted to exchange it for an alternate brand. I called the store before I went as I could not locate the receipt. I was told by customer service management representatives (Chrystal and (Tannor) that I could bring the item in for store credit and to exchange what I had purchased for another brand. I drove 40 minutes to the store to be denied a return by the very person who informed me I could return and exchange the item, without reason. As previously stated I have been a long time customer, however this experience has voided my confidence in this one time honorable retailer and as I result I will no longer shop at any Home Depot. I don't EVER post reviews but I am going out of my way today (as a single mom of a toddler at dinner time) to rave about this Home Depot. I recently moved into a rental that has a soft water system and I've never used one before. I had no idea what to do with it or how to service it or what/how much salt to add and when. I tried to look up the company online but didn't have much luck so I figured I'd go in and see if anyone could point me in the right direction. It was relatively busy and it did take me awhile to flag someone down but I finally caught someone's attention who worked there. He looked like he was on a mission somewhere but he stopped to help me anyway. I said I needed to talk to someone who knew about soft water systems and he immediately picked up his phone to find an available staff member in plumbing to help me. The guy who showed up I believe was named Sammy. I let him know why I was there and he said he didn't know much about it and I should try calling the company to ask my questions. I told him I had tried that but that their website was relatively un-user friendly but said I would try again anyway. He proceeded to pick up his own phone and call his friend who doesn't work there but works with water softeners so I could talk (on his own personal phone) to this guy and ask my questions. He quickly helped me and I handed the phone back to him and asked where I could find the salt. He pointed me in the right direction and I mentioned I'd need to get a cart first and he said he would get me a cart and meet me there. He helped me pick the right kind of salt and loaded it on my cart for me. My water softener is working perfectly now all thanks to Sammy at the Home Depot. You're my hero for the day. It's hard to find good customer service these days but this Home Depot has it down. I'll definitely be shopping here for all my home improvement needs going forward. read more

I bought a screen door for my house in February. I still have not gotten it installed. The company that is supposed to come out has canceled/not shown up twice. The first appointment was booked 45 days from when I bought it because "they are so busy." When I talked to the guy, he told me in so many words that he didn't want to be doing the installs anymore because they are from Bakersfield and it's too far for them. Home Depot keeps saying they'll find a replacement but they haven't, so the company is stuck with Home Depot until then. Not my problem. The first appointment, I took the day off work to be home for. By 7:30pm, they guys finally called and said they weren't gonna make it because it is too dark. They made another appt for Saturday, which they ended up turning off their phones and never calling me back about. I called supervisors, the install guys, and Home Depot multiple times. Nothing. No call backs. The store leaves me on hold until I hang up. Im so mad. Don't even know what to do. The installation cost more than the door. I just want my door. Unbelievable. It's on some guys truck somewhere who won't call me back. Ive been so nice but I don't know if I should call the police due to theft or what. Absolute worst customer service I have had in a very long time. We are remodeling our bathroom and needed to get several items and were ready to spend a couple thousand dollars. We picked out our shower pan and shower walls first, the box for the walls was quite large and not easily loaded onto a cart so we asked the young lady sitting at the computer at the front of the aisle if she could call some assistance to come bring it to the front loading area. She was less than excited to help but said she would call someone. After waiting 10 minutes we asked if it would be ok if we just continued shopping and if she could just have the helpers bring the box to the front loading area. Not a problem she claimed. After 30 minutes of shopping we returned to see our box still sitting in the aisle (clearly in her view). She shrugged and said she had called someone already. My husband asked her if she could follow through instead of just sitting around, she replied, with attitude, that it was her job to just sit at that computer. This of course set my husband off and he replied that her job was customer service and that he wanted to speak with a manager. While waiting for a manager 2 men on a forklift came and placed our box back on the shelf. As you can probably tell we are pretty upset at this point. The manager finally came, apologized, and attempted to get our box to the front. We waited at the front for a good 15 more minutes when we see our box on a cart (laying flat, its 80 inches tall) in front of the main registers. How are we supposed to get that out at the main registers??? After being there for almost 2 hours we just left, with the manager yelling for us to wait. Ya right. We went to Lowe's and were in and out within 20 minutes with their employees bending over backwards for us. Never will I EVER go to Home Depot again. read more

I felt it's only fair to put a review in, considering what I went through. 18 months ago I purchased a top of the line range, which worked quite well. Recently though, the Gas Co. had red tagged it because of a small leak detected at the unit. I then notified home depot who in turn referred me to Assurion, my warranty contact which scheduled for service with outside vendors. Long story short, I wasted 8 hours of my time for 2 appointments which never happened. I had no choice but to take my frustration out on Home Depot. What makes me happy to post this is the fact their appliance manager Carol (5 Stars) was so very concerned and helpful to me. She was on the phone for quite some time with Assurion to urge they resolve this matter. In the end, I was notified I'll be refunded. I give HD a 4 rating for great service, but overall a 3 because unfortunately the warranty service was very bad because of the vendors they deal with. I will continue shopping Home Depot, because I love their variety and great service. read more

So my moms refrigerator broke and we decided to just walk in home depot and buy a new one. The guy who assisted us wasn't very helpful. We asked him for recommendations etc and he pretty much said it was up to us etc (yes i blame myself for not doing research and reading reviews first!). So my mom and brother agreed on one fridge (based on looks). We just wanted a simple fridge that would last at least 3 years. We paid for it and it got delivered almost two weeks later. The fridge arrived Wednesday 10/18 and by Saturday 10/21 it stopped working. All the groceries went bad! We were so sad about it. I called the insurance who told me to talk to Home Depot because it was such a recent purchase. So we went to Home Depot 10/21. Not a single employee was helpful. I was told a repair person would come to the house to fix it and I would get a call letting me know when with no time frame given. I was so angry that they didn't care about the issue. I wasn't given any sympathy a simple "oh man that sucks, let me rush the order for someone to go fix it right away" would of made us feel better. So on 10/30 I get a phone call saying someone will fix it 10/31. A guy shows up 10/31 checks out the fridge and says it needs some parts replaced (oh my gawd the brand new fridge needs parts replaced fml!). He said someone will contact us when the parts arrive. Days go by and I call to follow up, well I get told that another person would come fix the fridge on 11/8. 11/6 I get call sayin saying the parts are not in and will get a call back. I get a call back scheduling for 11/11. Waited all morning for the guy to arrive but he didn't show. I called and was told he's running behind. He finally showed and "fixed" the fridge. Damn fridge stopped working two days later 11/13, all of our food went bad, again! I was furious walked in Home Depot and demanded the fridge to get picked up from my home. I was even given a hard time about the return and refund. I was sarcastically told "you got a lemon." Seriously, we have been without a fridge for weeks, over a month. I was told the fridge would get picked up the next day 11/14 I was given paperwork etc. Well no one shows up 11/14. I call Home Depot and the lady says she'll call me back. Calls me back and says she doesn't know why they didn't show up to get it but they will show up during the week. Finally the dirge was picked up on 11/17, the lady was like you can have store credit and pick outa new fridge, hell no, I WILL NEVER EVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT!!!!! I asked for a refund and Finally got the refund on 11/21. this has been the worse experience I have ever had, the employees honestly made it that much worse. I will never ever again purchase from Home Depot. The lack of professionalism from their employees. Not a single ounce of sympathy or customer service showed. They need some serious training. I've never deal with such careless and rude employees before! Learn from my mistakes. Well, My mom and Dad ordered a new shed for their new house in Oxnard. They were to have it delivered and paid a fee. They had to be there from 6am to 8pm for delivery. My father who is 87 years old waited till 4 and called the store and they told him it would be there before 8. This is a new vacant home he was sitting in. So I told him to go home and I'll wait. I called at 7 and a young lady told me it was on the way! At 8 I called and Caesar said he would look into it and call me back. He did at 8:45 and told me that it didn't fit in a box truck and it was coming out of the Oxnard store. He apologized and said the manager Julian at the Oxnard store was in charge of this order and forgot to call my Dad. He than told Caesar to call me and let me know. I called for Julian but was put on hold for 20 min. I do a lot of business with Home Depot. But I will be giving Lowe's a try tomorrow. read more
