I was in AZ to help my gkids move their things from their dorm to storage for the summer. We went to Home Depot to look for a hand truck or something and our choices that day was small $11 dolly's or big strong $220 hand trucks. LoL being that they will have ave to store it in their rooms next year we went for the small dolly's. The help is so stupid, lazy and feckless, not one of them can locate anything without help from a smartphone, and they know absolutely NOTHING about any of the products they sell. Some of them are rude to the point of saying, "If you don't see it we ain't got it". They niether care nor do they want to learn how retail sales works in any capacity. I wound up buying two small storage containers for my toilet to leak into until I can buy the repair parts on line, FROM SOMEONE ELSE! My buddy recently became a 1st time homeowner (yahoo!!!) and we've been making weekly trips to Home Depot. During our recent visit to this HD location he needed to get some interior paints. The available self service color wall is great for comparing and determining color choices. What was super memorable during this visit to the paint counter was our interaction with Danny, a very valued Home Depot employee. This man had so much knowledge and was ready and willing to share. He asked specific questions to guide my friend to the perfect paint choices. He even assisted in color treating (enriching the color) some previous paint to a better fitting color (saved money for the customer). The other paints that were needed were purchased with confidence and with so much friendly and professional assistance from Danny. Home Depot should be proud to have this man representing their brand but also how he provides the ultimate excellence in customer service. read more

I normally wait for cashiers to call me up. Because I have worked in retail before, I do not walk up to someone as soon as I see the previous customer leaves. (Someone might be ending their shift, making a safe drop, getting change, etc. at that moment) I lined up in the customer service/order pick up line (no one else) and saw two open cashiers for that department. Diedra was the one who called me over. I was doing an order pick up for my boss. I didn't realize that the entire order needed a cart, as I am not familiar with some of the things that were ordered. I started to head back to the front to grab a cart and she told me to hang back and she'll get it for me. It's the little things. I hope her supervisor sees this review and rewards her in some way. My total visit to the store was only about 20 mins at most from when I stepped in to when I walked out, so I do appreciate that they were on it. (My work truck has GPS, so I always worry about them thinking that I loiter at different places). They apparently had what my boss needed (four items total), so yay for them on inventory. Also, it only took about an hour from the time the online order was placed to the time that we were notified it was ready. The order pickup process is smooth. No complaints. read more

The worst Home Depot ever ... checking out thru the lumber / Pro section is UNBELIEVABLY slow

I found a lot of different safety issues inside to some people as soon as I walk in. I like the fact that they had lighters all over the floor where kids can actually walk on them and accidentally trips it's something I did not appreciate. I brought this to the attention of one of the managers and I told me not to worry about it. Myself being a paying customer I feel like I should not have to have safety issues whenever I walked by the store. Moved here recently as a new home owner, have spent thousands on our new house here in tool rentals/parts/paint and everything else, I've been in hundreds of times some times many times in a day. Hands down this is the most run down facility, you can never find anyone to ask questions, nothing is ever in stock, they treat every person in there with heavy skepticism because of their homeless encampment of a parking lot. I hate this location, as a female alone I feel unsafe at all times and their rentacop security is so focused on posturing around the store he misses the actual dangers. read more

This store doesn't follow Home Depot policy. The manager Chris Pinet doesn't honor no receipt returns to pro customers with an in store credit. The employees are rude. On June 9th at 1:49 PM (Date and Time on my receipt), I was in Home Depot at 4848 N 43rd Avenue Phoenix, AZ to purchase a Fire Stick. We were directed by to go an area where the Fire Sticks are kept locked up. A young man assisting us (tall, dark curly hair and glasses) asked Dee (supposedly a supervisor) where they were. Dee was at a cash register behind he counter. He let could not find the cabinet. Dee says across the area to the young man they are not there, you are looking in the wrong place. Upon hearing this another employee Lorenia says I know where they are and she walks over to a cabinet between Dee and where the young man was looking. She let Dee know she could open the cabinet and was looking to Dee to give the okay. Dee did not say anything and the young man is still looking in the area he was in. So I said to Dee, can you please tell the young man where to look if that's not the right area or have Lorrenia who does know get the Firestick. Dee's response was "I can't leave the register". I understand, you don't have to leave the areas just tell him where the cabinet is, just like to you told him it's not the right cabinet. Dee's response, "Mam, I am busy right now and you will just have to wait.". So I am waiting and so is 2 other employees because Dee is too busy to provide proper customer service. I said I want to speak to the manager. She said she is the manager. She is the worst employee. Lorrenia who was there to help should be the manager! The home depot in Payson Az personnel continuously lies about doing what they promise. Yeesterday my husband was there to get a very expensive tool box stak, it was on sale on line but they had it in store and 3 employees in customer service said they would hold it overnight and promised he would get the online sales price. Today he went to get it and the 3 employees all told him that they would not honor that price. One lied and the others swore to it. Typical Home Depot training? It's just a regular Home Depot but I've done a few returns here and just didn't like the staff. This store is closest to my home so I usually go here to return things or if I need something quickly. It's a regular Home Depot, nothing fancy about it, the same as the others. What bugged me is that I've returned items here twice, and both times the return staff handled the situation with zero empathy. Both times it was for a defective product. One was metal shelving that had obviously been someone else's return item as it arrived taped shut and had some kind of condiment smeared on the bottom beams. Just saying, "Hey, it sucks that we made you return 100 lbs of shelving for our crappy delivery and I'm sorry about that" goes a long way. Instead it was, "My I have the credit card? You don't need to explain the reason. The amount will be refunded. Next!" That tells me they won't learn anything from the situation to help improve things. A salesman helped out trying to find a replacement and he had that amazing Home Depot "above and beyond" attitude, so what I'm writing doesn't apply to the entire team there. But the return staff need better training. I know it's not an easy job but you can't just be a return robot. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Waited over 30 minutes for someone with a key to simply unlock the item I wanted to purchase. I asked two people up front for assistance because the person in charge of that area with a key had no idea what they were doing and refused to help so many people who were also waiting. The person with the key was also extremely rude to me, so I finally walked out. I was about to spend so much money... Now I won't ever spend another dollar at this zoo. This is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. The store layout is confusing, the employees walk past you as if they are so busy they refuse to make eye contact, and any one I asked for had such a terrible attitude as if I had disturbed them. I was looking for blinds and appliances and could find no one around to answer my questions. When I did get someone to ask where the door locks were, was rudely told "look at the door section" (door locks weren't anywhere near the door section. Also, this location is FILTHY compared to other Home Depot's. As for their selection: this location has so few options I wonder how they stay in business. This Home Depot seems to be geared towards contractors, not every day normal home owners or "do it yourself" individuals. Other Home Depot's are great, but this one for some reason is just awful. Drove out to this location from the west valley because they were the only location that had stock of a specific faucet I was needing to buy. Show up and they had 0 when online it said they have 12! Waste of damn gas.. also, the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 4 months. Paper towels thrown everywhere, leaking toilets and bowel movements still sitting in the toilets clocked up. Finally get allowed in and waited 5 min for service reps to get back to work. (Hen party from the silly sounds of the giggles). In the trips I've made here, I've only been in and out when I didn't need to interact with the staff -- and, even then, I've been delayed 10+ minutes bc their spray paint cans didn't have the HD UPC stickers, resulting in three employees getting involved. Nightmare. I wish giving a fraction of star was an option. After trying for 1.5 hours to make a $700 lumber order online I gave up and went the the Home Depot on 43rd and Camelback to make the order in person. The Customer Service desk had one person at the desk but she was on the phone helping another customer. After 20 minutes (sounds like an exaggeration, but it isn't) I flagged down another employee to help me make an order. He got the order entered, which took some time since he didn't work at that desk but was happy to "get some training", and the site crashed so he had to reenter the order. He was nice and helpful, it wasn't his fault, but after my online experience this was bad. My deliver was suppose to arrive on Friday 6/22. I approved for the delivery to be dropped off if I wasn't home but asked for the delivery guy to call me when he was dropping off in case I could come home from work and move the items to my backyard and return to work. As it happened, I worked from home on 6/22 so I could be here for the delivery. The driver called me in the morning and left a message to say he was picking up the materials at Home Depot and I would be the second stop. After several hours I called the driver, he said he had been at my house and that no one answered the door so he called the manager, Kevin, who told him to return the delivery to Home Depot - clearly not reading the order that approved the drop-off without me being present. As far as the driver actually even having come to my house... I worked in the front room by my front door all morning and no one ever knocked. I called, Kevin, who seemed agitated, saying I didn't answer so he had the delivery returned. I told him to look at the order to see that it was to be dropped off without me. He had never looked at the order and discovered the note while I was on the phone with him. After a lengthy discussion where he said he couldn't redeliver it until the next day (I had some builders coming in the next morning to use the materials), he said he would get some guys from his Pro-Team to deliver the $700 order to me that afternoon and that he would have them call me when they were leaving. I asked him to call me when it was set up and he said, "I said I will take care of it!" and hung up. By 4pm I had received no call. I called Home Depot again and spoke to another manager, Izzy, who knew nothing about the delivery and had no drivers since they had all gone home. He couldn't check with Kevin because Kevin was now on a plane traveling back east for his vacation. Izzy said the best he could do would be to get my order on a truck at 7am the next day and that he would leave all the instructions with a third manager, Kat. This was so frustrating because after I didn't receive the order the first time there was no way I was going to just let them drop off "something" on my front lawn, so I stayed home and wasted the rest of the day waiting for nothing. The next morning, at 6:40am I called Kat to ensure my delivery was schedule and on its way by 7am. She assured me it was. By 8:30am I called her and she said the order still had not been picked up by her delivery service and that she would check to see what was happening. At 9:18 I called her back and she was still trying to find out where the delivery drivers where. Kat called me back a few minutes later to tell me the delivery guys would not be picking the order up until 1pm and would drop it off at my home after that (time unknown), but then she asked if I knew that the 20 2x4s I ordered were not carried by their store in those lengths and were on back order. NO ONE HAD EVER SAID THIS TO ME BEFORE THIS! I asked how my order was to have been delivered the day before with these items missing, and how did Kevin not even mention it to me? She said she would see if she could have her team cut down some lumber by the time the delivery guys showed up to pick up my order by 1pm. So now I am home, wasting another whole day (a Saturday) waiting for an order that may or may not come and may may or may not include what I ordered. So this is where I am. If this Home Depot can't do a simple task like drop off materials on someone's front lawn they should stop offering delivery from their store. Worst customer service experience ever. I will update this post if I ever get this order, but even if it is THIS IS NOT HOW A CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED. read more

Wow! I had to make an emergency run to my Home Depot on 43rd Avenue/Camelback. They are NOT kidding around! There are ropes set up to herd you into the store. Only two doors are opened and manned by masked, gloves personnel. You are required to take a cart which is sanitized when put into cart return and again right before its handed to you (I think this helps maintain 6' distance). Then you stand in line. They control the number of people in the store. I only had to wait once (but I went at 8am). You go through self checkout and it's sanitized after you use it. I love the way they are taking the Covid-19 situation seriously. NICE read more

Prices online are cheaper you have to go online to see whether or not the product is it at the store that you're going to if it's at the store that you're going to you have to buy it before you go to the store to look at it to make sure it's the right product that you want. you have to go to customer service and get your item but the prices change by the time of day it appears that volume sets the price so in the morning it may be cheaper than in the afternoon or vice versa it appears that Home Depot is charging more at the stores for everything this is called price gouging I've used Home Depot for 30 years and this is the worst example of price gouging I've seen so far since this pandemic occurred read more

Total disregard for loyal customers. My company's pro account has racked up about 100k in 2018. Unfortunately the staff treats you like a pest. I purchased a 200A panel top and bottom fed. Wasn't up to code, needed to be strictly bottom fed, fine. I take it back and these guys look at me like I'm out of my mind that I would bring it back with a smidge of paint on it and the feed punched out. Wouldn't give me the time of day to explain it's labeled as top and bottom fed. They just wanted me out of their way as soon as possible. I find it very funny that they will fight to the death to prevent me from returning this panel, when I've had several employees simply walk in with our pro number and return thousands of dollars worth of material without question. Mostly paint. Everyone should be aware, scum can steal your paint buckets and return them for cash without question. These bimbos will give them cash. As a female who doesn't know a lot about different tools and everything it takes to do certain projects, it's a little discouraging asking the experienced professional employees for assistance at Home Depot. It's like they talk to you in legal jargon that you don't understand and tell you to go to certain isles where you can find what you need. They're very informed about the products in their department and usually pretty friendly, but they definitely keep it moving. So, from that point you're on your own to figure it out. Of course they have a lot of bulk items at cheaper prices. However, I called to check if they had a 5/16-18 tap, and was put on hold for 45 minutes. It kept ringing me back to the cashier who would just say sorry and re-direct me too whomever was supposed to pick up. Eventually they answered and had no idea what I was really talking about. If I could I would review this 0 stars, this is the worst Home Depot I've ever been too! I love Home Depot but this one is just terrible! Trust me take the extra mile in gas and go to another Home Depot. Why so bad, there was no customer service, my fiancé and I went to get Kitchen Cabinets because we are renovating so we went to buy 7 cabinets and 1 of those cabinets were placed at the top so we went to ask for help. Out of the 4, 1 that was not on their phone said they help us, just to give them a minute and they will send someone over, so We are understanding people and understand that it will take some time. So in the 1 hour and 27 minutes that it took, I set out about 55minutes into it and went to go make sure they did not forget about us. I went to one women working in the kitchen area sitting at a desk, ask her for help and she gets up so I follow her then she ignores me and starts messing around with something else, so rude, so I ask another women and she said to ask someone else, I was shocked, finally the 3rd guy I asked actually came to help and brought a lift and he had a attitude the entire time and was like just for 1 cabinet, like yeah why it take 1hour and 27min to get down 1 cabinet. I asked someone to cut a piece of wood and he said only one person (out of what m, 100 employees working?) knew how and he was busy.
