My experience here is usually great! I love the management here and everyone is usually very eager to greet me, however on 10/19 at about 9 pm, I believe the greeter's name was John, essentially told us we were stupid when we walked in. Today I stopped in this location quickly to buy a 1 gallon can of ultra white semi gloss paint to use for baseboards and archways at my parents house. The parking lot is well marked with easy to see painted lines. :) Plenty of orange baskets inside lobby to start my shopping experience. I was greeted Hello by an employee upon walking in the automatic doors. Inside it is easy to read the layout of the store with signs up above for the departments names. The painting department is straight ahead down the main isle halfway down to the left. The paint isles I believe I counted 6 were organized, well stocked, labeled with sale ads and pricing. My choice for paint was Behr semi gloss ultra white which was on sale PLUS yes PLUS a $10.00 rebate on many brands of paint. Oh Yeah I was happy to check on line before shopping to make sure on the total count of inventory available here. I was greeted by employee Jim who asked promptly if I needed help with my shopping time. Nicely I said no I'm good to go and thanks for asking. :) In the center area is the customer service painting counter for blending and mixing tints. I grabbed 2 stir sticks while noticing 3 employees working by assisting customers with immediate attention and efficient customer service. I walked to the Self Checkout area and used the "Scan & Go" register. These registers have a scanner gun to complete your purchase sale. I scanned my can of paint with a scanner gun. How cool and easy with no complications and the computerized voice on the screen was easy to hear. There was an employee watching customers in case any help or assistance was needed. She thanked me for shopping at Home Depot. My 15 minute shopping experience was successful ! I will certainly complete the short survey from my receipt for a chance to win a $5,000 Home Depot Gift Card. If I win ? I will be back here. I grabbed the one I wanted and went to self check out , paid and got out spent all of 10 minutes in the store. So I was pretty happy with that. read more

My family and I stopped here last night on the way home from Milford. We were stuck in traffic for two hours and needed to stretch out legs. So this was the perfect place to stop. My Auntie and I have recently gotten into painted rocks. Painted rocks is where you paint on river rocks and hide them anywhere for someone else to find. I belong to a Facebook group so I leave a label on my rocks so people can post online that they found one of my rocks. Home Depot is a perfect place to get our rock painting supplies. We picked up some reject paint cans that were about pint size for only $.50 each! What a steal. We also got some foam paint brushes for our painting. We got a huge bag of rocks for $10. They have several different side rocks in the bags so I choose a bag that was higher in price but didn't have teeny tiny rocks in it. The store was laid out great. Very easy to read what is on each aisle. Plenty of associates to help too! If you use the Home Depot app or use their website you can easily search for an item and it will tell you what aisle it is on and also which bay it is in. All aisles are labeled very well with the bays. Great friendly service! Look forward to coming back for cheap paint. read more

I used to have a very good experience here. I had been coming here for about 25 years. Today, I dealt with Bo at the tool rental desk when returning a grinding disk and buffer. The project took far longer than it should have - I had to grind a patio probably around 20 times before the mastic/glue was monthly gone. Also, the power cord zapped me multiple times. When I asked for a day to be taken off - you'd think I was taking money right out of Bo's pocket. He did not care about my long-standing patronage, nor the unanticipated difficulties with the project. He begrudgingly discounted 45 dollars. Well i said that was to long is there anything that was faster, he showed me An area of carpet selections that would take 5 days from when it was measured and paid for to be installed. 5 business days! I made selection had it measured and guy said it has been a day or 2 to get it installed lately i asked when mine would be he said he wouldn't know till i paid! So i paid immediately on sunday afternoon monday morning they called and i expected it would be friday at latest! But no they said it would be 2 weeks. I could have had it done sooner by private contractor but chose them thinking big company would be safer Wrong! Then they wouldn't refund money till carpet came to warehouse from manufacturer, Makes no sense! They LIED every step of the way. Now they have my money and I cant get my house done or even scheduled from other contractor because they have my money. They Lied over and over! Won't tell how long tho they say within 5 days of paying as a way of getting you're money and then holding it. Could not be more disappointed in this company. SO I made the complaint, and Home depot took care of the problems from the January 2009 review. They fixed what could be fixed, and made everything right with my mom. They did re-order and reinstall the shower door. She is thrilled with the new changes, and very happy and thankful it was taken care of. I realize now, my parents spent ~$20K on the project, not $10K. I am very impressed the company was able to turn around and make things right. We update the 1 star review, and are happy with the new changes. Its been a while since we've had such good customer service. Although it took a long time, it was worth it. read more

I just finished loading well over a thousand pounds of wood on a cart at the Roseville Home Depot while two of the lumber guys just watched. I told one of them, "Back when I worked at Home Depot and I saw a lone guy doing this themselves, I'd help. Were you trained to do that?" And the guy walked away. SHM. Harper Woods HD from now on. Half their 2x4s were warped and poorly cut anyway. HD Team Care; one of the two associates was Ted I believe, and he was the one who walked away. The other one was just running around trying to fill stock. It was Tuesday May 2nd at 8:30 PM. I complained to the manager on duty who apologized but I don't believe brought it up with the two associates. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL!!! I was just going to say the above and leave it at that but I figured I should give a little detail. A friend and I were looking at ceramic tile along with about 4 other duos in the same aisle. Not a customer service person in sight. My friend found a tile he liked but what was on the shelf was not enough for his project. So I literally walked down 6 neighboring aisles and NOTHING. Not a orange apron in site!! Mind all the other folks are still milling about in this aisle with no help as well. So we decide lets go look at this rug he wants to buy. We are looking and he is searching for it on the shelf where it was supposed to be. NO GOOD. He is literally on his hands and knees looking for this dang rug. WHAT THE! No orange aprons to be found again! Now we head over the the carpet samples to see if they carry carpet tiles. Being the slightly distracted gal I am this great counter top catches my eye. So I am ohhing and ahhing over and poof this girl pops up with a clip board and NO orange apron and asks if we need help. So we both say yes we are looking for carpet tiles. This is great. Mind you we are standing smack dab in the middle of the giant carpet section the girl says "umm I'm not sure but I bet it's probably around here with the rest of the carpet" HA! WHAT!! Clearly you ninny!! We keep walking around and not a frigging orange apron in sight. Finally we are walking away and NOW all of a sudden someone appears and wants to help us. My friend says carpet tile and she says nope only on line and basically walked away. No what were you looking to do whats your project no thing. No let's look on line or see if I can get you some samples. I've worked with "customers" almost my entire working life and I am a stickler when it comes to it. This location is my go to. It's one of the busier locations but hands down best customer service. The manager Evangerine is so helpful and on her game. Always greeted by multiple associates when I come to this store and the employees are friendly. I live a mile away from the hall road location but I drive all the way to Roseville because the service is always better. Sean in lumber was great, helped me cut plywood for my project and figured out the best way to get the right size pieces so I didn't have to do extra cuts when I got home. Its a shame when you see a company that used to be great succumb to the same old attitude and shady practices that are common today and now Home Depot has joined the ranks. I went in for a simple 19 stair carpet install that required 91sq ft, their measure guy came up with 100sq ft. They called my wife with a quote which she accepted. That quote charged us for 180sq ft. When I spoke with their "expert Carpet Guy" who was very proud of his number of years in the carpet business yet said 80% waste was a standard because that what the computer said. What a joke. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGER ROB! I Had an online order with 7 day pickup window, went into store 6th day to rent truck and pick up order none were available fine no problem. Made plans at service desk to come back the next day to pick up my items. Got a call 20 minutes after leaving store to say my order had been canceled because of overcrowding in lumber dept. Called manager the next day to figure out why and he was extremely rude and nasty. Never offered any type of discount or compensation for the cancellation didn't have a valid reason for canceling my order I will never shop with this sorry ass company again and now I have to wait for money to be returned to my card and cancel contractors that are supposed to be coming out to install drywall from my purchase. read more

Recently purchased a fridge for delivery. After standing in line to pay I noticed the clerk had got my address wrong I was told I had to go to customer service to correct it. So after 15 minutes it was changed. Delivery day came and the delivery crew did not have the correct address I was told I would have to reschedule and return to store to correct the delivery address. In case anyone is interested in using Home Depot for home improvements just know that I got my roof done and they still have not fixed the soffit. Everytime I try to contact somebody it goes to the next person to the next person to the next person and then finally someone says they'll take care of it. After giving me a bunch of stink about things when it's not my fault it's theirs, it's their company and company's they hired to do the work for their projects. A sales representative that came out to my home when I was inquiring about the roof gave me false information and when I brought it to anyone's attention all that was said was "it wasn't their problem, it wasn't their fault". They've also repeatedly said that "the salesman should have never said that to you". The fact Still Remains he did say it that's one of the features that sold me on letting them do my roof... So on top of the false information that was given by their sales rep that comes out to your homes, the companies they send out or at least the company they sent out to do my roof stole material I have pictures of everything and when I presented them to the upper management they pretty much swept me under the rug and said "well there's nothing we can do for you". A real sad thing is I was hoping to use Home Depot for all of my home improvements because I work on other people's homes I shouldn't have to work on my own and now I can't trust companies to come in and do the job properly and the companies that give these contractors the job I can't trust them either what a major mistake on my part. Thinking that the company would do their job properly and hold up to their word. I would really hate to see how these people treat their parents and their loved ones because when you work for a company your job is to take care of the customer and if you can't take care of simple mistakes that your company has made I wonder how you're holding up to your end at home with your family these people should have been used car salesman what a bummer.... So as I share my review on the workmanship, craftsmanship, trustworthy words that were falsely sold to me. Just wanted to commend the hiring manager at the Home Depot store for hiring Edward, in the plumbing department. Excellent discretion hiring him to be of help to your customers. I am a female, with a 2-seater car, that needed 5 pieces of PVC cut in half...so I could get it in the car! Edward, was more than happy to assist and was so friendly, his people skills are top notch! I felt Edward was a family member, so personable. He is just one of those rare people that stand out, so much so, that this busy lady took time out of her busy day to recognize him on Yelp, which I don't do! Managers, please hire 100 more Edwards! And, perhaps consider this outstanding employee as a manager for your company! I wanted to purchase a new washer and dryer and didn't have an idea what to look for. I wanted to pay the least amount for the best appliance. Larissa was amazing! She told me to wait one day and come back on the Black Friday sale because the same appliance I was thinking about getting that day would be $400 less on the following day! Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the installation due to a problem getting the door hinge switched to the other side. LG took absolutely no responsibility for the defect, and Larissa went to bat for me and waited on hold with me for a half an hour on a conference call with LG. I wish I could give no stars. My experience with Home Depot was so disastrous, I don't even want to buy a hammer from here. I spent over 7,000 dollars at this location. A third of which went to installing kitchen tiles. Not only was the job delayed, but once it was finally started I had to go to Home Depot twice because they didn't provide the installers with material they provide based on THEIR measurements. My husband or I took numerous days off of work only to have them call at the last minute to change dates on me due to lack of communication between Home Depot and their suppliers. The appliances that they told me were not on back order, were on back order. They delayed our delivery a week, more time off of work. When a week passed, they called the day before to confirm delivery of our appliances, then 30 minutes before to say they were on their way. 30 minutes later, after my husband leaves work and is at home waiting for them, they say the order isn't on the truck! They are a DISASTER! I have two small children who have been living off of fast food and food prepared in the bathroom for way too long due to Home Depot's mistakes. Trust me, no one can afford to depend on Home Depot to keep their word. I have now cancelled 3,000 dollars in appliances and they could care less. Now I have to start all over again.
