This month I have been working on my Mother In Laws carport. It's a trap covering a metal frame. We always have to replace the cover every year since the sun and weather hits it. I decided to replace the top with a corrugated top. This place is just about 5 blocks away. Really convenient. I had to go back several times to get the right materials to fix the carport. They had a lot of the items I needed but the top ridge cap wasn't in stock and i had to order it online and have it shipped to the store. It delayed my project by a week which kind of sucked. Plus the item wasn't the same color as the rest of the roof. It was a clear gray and the rest of the roof wasn't clear at all. When the cap came it wasn't that wide either. I got it to work but I wish it had been wider. All the other materials were at the store which I was happy with. I just noticed that the prices are so inflated than previous years. Everything is more money. The staff here are really friendly and help you out when you need it. The cashier were great. If you are a Pro Xtra member your phone number can identify your account at checkout. Members receive benefits such as purchase tracking, exclusive offers, paint rewards, and perks geared toward professionals and frequent shoppers. I normally shop the Elk Grove store, but this one is on my way home from work and is easy in and out. Home Depot is a big box store that sells all of your home improvement needs. It's like Disneyland to all of us DIY enthusiasts!! They sell everything! They sell paint with all the gadgets, plumbing supplies, electrical, bathroom and kitchen cabinets, flooring, wood, tools, HVAC, plants, and much more! Ooooh! They even sell holiday decorations!!! Cool ones! My new thing is to order online! They pull all my items and put it in the customer service area. They send a message when it is ready. I pull up my car and they load it! Easy peasey!! Now, that sounds ideal when you have project deadlines. For me, I still have to walk in and check out new items!! For the staff inside the store, they have been helpful and cordial as always! My online order was painless and correct. The customer service desk is always awesome to deal with. Overall, a great place to shop for all your home needs. We've also had to order things online when the store does not keep in their warehouse as a regular item. They have a huge parking lot so parking has been easy. The store has been clean and organized. Home depot has a good variety hardware items, and it's pet friendly, but I just wish that their garden area was a little bigger.

Nothing like the smell of sawdust and sweat. I first came here with our carpenter eight years ago to pick out some Pergo flooring and I've been back dozens of times since. Whether big ticket or small items, this store has it all. Generally has helpful staff. Excellent plant and garden center. They even have a nice restroom in the back. Big ticket items that have worked out well: a Weber gas grill (end of season clearance, too!), a pricy custom order Anderson door, and most recently, a Werner platform (ten foot reach) ladder (finally replaced the one our movers stole eight years ago). It was on sale which was nice. I use the app to see what is on sale. My quibbles: their doors are sometimes fixed with only working exit but all entrances operational (I'm sure due to thievery) and you have to walk the whole breadth of the parking lot in many cases to get back to your car. Also the app sometimes doesn't have accurate aisle Locations for searched items. A corporate issue, but still annoying. I could spend a lot of of money. here (and I have), but I try to keep a lid on it. I love DIY. So it's always an eye on my pocketbook as things can add up quickly here. I needed a shovel to get my car stuck from the darn snow plow cave that I woke up to this past Monday morning. I rent so I don't really need a shovel but in this instance, I truly did. I went to my nearby Home Depot in Freeport and alas, they were all sold out.. understandably so! I turned to reddit and saw that certain garden shovels actually made for pretty good snow shovels, especially for hard pack and drift mounds. So I shopped accordingly and get me a pretty solid wood and metal shovel, that while not the most ergonomic, helped me free my car from it's igloo container. And now, I've got one ready for the summer to dig a garden or a trench somewhere! Score!! read more

I go to this Home Depot a lot. It has pretty much everything you need from a hardware store. From tools, to cleaning products, to lumber, this store is stocked. There's even more on the Home Depot website. It has such a large selection it can be a bit overwhelming, but if you like variety, this is your place. The prices are pretty good, there's plenty of parking, and the service is alright for a big box store. read more

My go to Depot. The garden is always stocked with so many different plants and rotates according to the season. This spring I bought this tea rose and it wasn't perfect but loved the colors. $45 for this! I picked up garden vegetables as well (not pictured) the service is friendly and the store is clean. This review is based on purchasing a new refrigerator and installation by Temco Logistics. After some quick research I discovered Home Deport acquired Temco Logistics in 2023. During the first installation I had to run home around the block for a minute. When I retuned they installers were leaving, I texted them they did not respond. They did not remove the clear plastic cover from fridge and did not remove plastic from compartments and shelves, they did not install or 'stage'. There was a big dent on door. It took an hour to 'stage' the fridge. They tricked my my mom to sign off on the delivery. She is a senior and was clueless to what she was signing. I purchased the fridge. Went back to store and complained to appliance manager. He gave me $50 credit and scheduled a replacement fridge. 2nd installation went better. They found the water line was leaking from the first installation. They did not 'stage' the compartment and shelves. They said they don't do that. I had to 'stage' the fridge again another hour. Went back to appliance manager and he believed Temco should have set it up ready to use. He gave me another $50. Even though I was given a credit it was not worth the inconvenience of having to take food out of fridge twice and meeting installers twice. Staging the refrigerator twice. I recently bought a fridge from Costco and after it was installed it was ready for use. Looking at Temco Logistics they have very low ratings. Since Temco is now owned by Home Depot they should clean house. read more

I came in to this store looking for a specific mousetrap product. The employee that I asked sort of brushed off my request to see if the product could be ordered and proceeded to try to sell me on getting a ester filter system the or the home. He let wanting me to try to agree to a 'free' water test. I told him multiple times in multiple ways that I wasn't interested. If he really wanted to be helpful, he could see if the product I was looking for could be ordered. He finally stopped when I flatly told him I was looking for a rodent control product and I don't appreciate getting a hard sell pitch for a water filter. So I am currently redoing a backyard and the area needed a bit more privacy since it's only hog wire The fence itself is 5 feet tall. The bamboo is 6 feet tall layering it on top actually made it look really nice. I was a bit skeptical at first. The only problem is that it's essentially transparent for the most part but I'm planning to plant a hedges in front of it which I think will be really nice. They only had one choice in stock which was the 6 foot bamboo. I'm also fixing broken hinge on my island and needed to get the wood glue. I got the titebond since it was what was recommended to me. They have three different choices. The store also has tiki torches two options the light brown seen in the picture and another dark brown. I bought them without knowing that I needed to get the fuel to go with it, which was sold separately, which was a bit of a bummer I had thought I got a deal since the tiki torches were only eight bucks after tax. Inside the store is kept clean, and the employees are helpful, but keep in mind. It is located in the hood so this surrounding area is a bit ghetto. I actually originally came here. Just looking for some stepping stones and left with a new project. As far as the stepping stones go, there were only very boring cement block choices. I'll be back, they have all the home project stuff you can dream of. read more

They're big on self check out which is a little annoying. Prices are a little cheaper than the small hardware stores. The service can suffer at times. I feel better when I support local stores. He was knowledgeable and informative. he made suggestions based on my needs for this particular referb. I simply went into that location to grab an item i seen online. While searching for my sales item, i saw Jacky and asked if he could point me in the right direction to find a precision screwdriver set, he just didn't point me in the right direction he actually walked me over and got further details about my referb PlayStation to suggest the best product. as suggested i settled on a 10 pack which provided me exactly what i needed to help me get into tight places. another customer asked him mid discussion, and he politely acknowledge the customer and told him, he will be with his shortly. I insisted he help the gentleman who asked because i felt i took enough of his time asking questions (he had all the answers). Sacramento has so many Home Depot all over the city. This one at South Sacramento usually is one of the Home Depot stores I like to shop at because it is less crowded. This store is still fewer people who shop here compared to the other Home Depot in the area. However, I didn't feel safe in their parking lot when I parked my car there. The parking has many people who seem to have nothing to do and watch the people parking their cars and going into the store. The store itself is still okay. But sorry! I don't feel comfortable parking my car there. I think I'm better off going to a more crowded Home Depot until I feel safe to shop there again! read more

We recently received a Hisense WAC12W Window Air Conditioner right away I was alarmed by the loudness of it. It sounds like a freight train in our living room. Why can we not make quieter units? We can put a man on the moon but our air conditioners sound obnoxious like our trains. Noise pollution is a nuisance and unnecessary. Be here plenty of times. Wouldn't say I had any experience worth writing a review. But today.... I was a walking around. Thinking of all the projects I can start and never finish. This is also a time I am walking my 1yr old Dog through the store. Letting her smell and look and have a little adventure. So yes. I am basically killing time at 10AM. I must have passed 4-5-6 associates that all greeted me with a good morning and hello. Not a drowsy sounding hello. But a happy hello good morning. It is odd to me that I even noticed it. But I did. And thought must be new management or something in todays meeting said be friendly. Because everyone was very friendly. Then I sit down to design a baseball holder dispenser. Yeah. I know. Like I said. Pointless projects. I am greeted. A second time by manager Mario. Very pleasant gentleman. He was discussing flooring space with an associate. Offered a great deal on a floor display umbrella. We rang it up at customer service. Mrs Nadya helped me. I think that was the name. She was very nice and patient with me as I added more items I needed. She dealt with me not having my card or cash but Apple Pay. She walked through a phone order so that I could make the purchase without leaving and coming back. Just wanted to make sure their great service got recognized today. read more

Stopped by to exchange two propane tanks at about Noon on a Saturday. David came out and patiently explained and demonstrated how to use the self serve propane kiosk, then came back to make sure it worked properly. In between another employee came to make sure we had been helped. Great service today. FYI you can purchase propane refills in the app and exchange them yourself at the kiosk. read more

This location is not bad. The hard part is that because I work close by, I come during the day with the contractors. They know the store, so I assume that is why it is hard to find a team member to help. You have to hunt them down like a safari. When you find the elusive associate they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It would be nice to know where the watering hole is so you can pick one off when you need help. The store floors are clean, and the signs visible and accurate. During my visit, it seemed like the front was in the middle of being stocked because it felt cluttered, but if not, I would advise these items to be positioned for more walking space. There is nothing tremendous or awful about this store. So if you need something for your home, stop in, and you should find what you're looking for and be in your way. read more

For full disclosure, I did not go to this store, but my mother did. Since my mom didn't have Yelp, she made sure I posted this review for her. She initially went to the Home Depot on Florin Rd, Sacramento, CA 95823, and had a horrible experience. She was at that Florin Rd. Home Depot yesterday in late afternoon looking at window blinds. She asked an associate to help her cut the blinds into the length she wanted, and the associate said they would call someone over to help. After 10 minutes of no one showing up, she asked another associate for help and got the same answer, and waited for another 10 minutes with no one showing up again. She even asked the self check out associate for help and received the same answer, and no one showed up. After more than 30 minutes of waiting, she had to leave. The experience she got at 1461 Meadowview Rd, Sacramento, CA 95832 Home Depot was totally opposite. Since the Florin Rd Home Depot was no help, she went to the one at Meadowview Rd instead. While she was choosing the window blinds, a young black male associate named Terry came over and helped. Not that the race matters, but I want to be as specific as possible so he can be recognized for his excellent service. My mother said Terry was very proactive, attentive, and had a pleasant attitude. She had some questions, and Terry was able to answer everything to her satisfaction. The service Terry provided was super quick as well. read more

Home Depot does better than any other chain I know in terms of consistent mediocrity. They have enough selection and convenience under one roof to keep you coming back time and again, but they are always woefully short of knowledgeable staff to help you out, making for an always inconsistent shopping experience in a store where knowledgeable staff is needed more than probably anywhere else. We wandered around the laminant department a full ten minutes before tracking down an available employee. That employee's response was to find another employee to help us out - another ten minutes. Then it was ten minutes more waiting for the employee who was supposed to know laminant to basically look up the info we needed on a computer. They were super nice, but it didn't help us much more than researching ourselves online. On the bright side, they do have a good selection overall, nice employees and a cleaner store than other locations I've visited. Take the good with the bad and you have what I am realizing is your typical Home Depot experience. read more

We saw a young lady associate for help and she said she would call for help. We waited for minutes and no one came by. Than another young man associate named "Bugs"asked if we needed help and we said Yes and that he would call for help. This time we heard overhead that help was needed. In just a minute an associate named "Mike" came to help us. He said they didn't have the size we needed because we needed to stick with the same kind of fluorescent tubes. He looked up all the different Home Depots that had what we needed. We thanked him and as we were leaving he told us that he found what we needed. Thank You Mike, we appreciate your help! I think most have hit the nail on the head when it comes to Home Depot in almost all locations. That nail being the absent or terrible customer service. While this Home Depot was stocked well, laid out in a sense where one could find what you needed without asking, good luck getting a question answered. I had asked two employees, one blowing me off, and the other with a shoulder shrug. I resorted to Googling the answer to my question, so I guess there is always that. Either way, pricing is always on par with many of the other large retail stores, and this particular location is very convenient for a residence I stay at time to time, so no complaints there. read more

Hands down, this is the best Home Depot location in the Sacramento area. I mostly go there for gardening, outdoor and houseplant supplies and the garden staff are always very helpful and friendly. There are a few workers that stand out in particular, but mostly Billy, who seems to mostly work in the garden/outdoor area. He has always been extremely helpful and has helped me solved multiple problems/issues that I have and go to HD for supplies and tools for. Besides besides being very friendly, he is very knowledgeable on a wide range of home/garden topics. He also has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I use to go to different local nurseries in the area,, but have been disappointed so many times with their customer service and willingness to conversate with me more than answering 'where is this specific soil/plant/fertilizer/etc'... even though I have two other locations that are closer to me, I will continue to go to the Meadowview store because of the awesome workers who have had help me in the past. read more

It seems like I'm visiting a Home Depot more often than grocery shopping. Every weekend, I've gotten myself into this routine of fixing, repairing, upgrading, designing, or maintaining my house and yard. I'm even conveniently located near three Home Depots! (Or vice versa). Anyway, since my place of employment moved their office to a new location, I now work across the street from this store. I can stop by after work to pick up supplies, browse for home improvement ideas or best of all, pay my Home Depot bill at the last minute of when it is due. The employees are always friendly, offer assistance, and do their best to not keep you waiting too long. But in my experience and my boyfriend's, (who is a general contractor), these stores can be hit or miss. Good days and bad days. In stock, out of stock or partially stocked. We have been slowly making improvements in my back yard. A drawback that I am finding recently is, that I love the black rectangular Asian style pottery that the Home Depots have been carrying. But I have to drive to four different stores to get all the sizes I need in order to keep things matching. This has been a very frustrating experience when one store has one pot of one size, or 2 pots of another size, or suddenly completely out. We are checking all the stores constantly as the need for more pottery arises. On a better note, I was actually pleasantly surprised to find at this store, tropical print chair cushions for my patio furniture. You're probably thinking, big deal, chair cushions are sold at every department store! But it has taken me ~3 years to find 4 matching cushions that were in a pattern that I liked and a price that was reasonable. ($20.00 each). In the past, there would always be maybe 1, 2, or 3 cushions available. Never 4! Finally, this store had exactly what I needed and well stocked with multiple choices. And I have searched Target, Walmart, Lowes, OSH even Grocery Outlet. The cushions have always been pretty drab looking and even more expensive at these places. I'm a happy camper for now, but if they don't get their pottery inventory to my liking I may soon get back into disappointment mode again. Another -5 review for The Home Depot. A little over a year before we bought all new appliances for our home. One of the appliances we purchased has stopped working. Our gas oven will not heat up. No temp at all. We purchaed a 3 year warranty for all our appliances. My husband has called about getting our oven fixed through the warranty, which is still valid. But they are refusing to put in an order to get a repair person here to fix it because they say his information is wrong. WTH? We purchased the appliances , paid for them in full and had them delivered to our home address under our name. He has a copy of the sales receipt , including paying extra for all the warranties, in his hand and there telling him no. My husband also purchases TV's from Costco for his job at a Home z building company and has them delivered to the job sites for the models. The TV's are delivered to the sales associates in their name to receive them. They also get warranties through the same warranty service as The Home Depot. They are saying that our account isn't ours but rather the sales associates who receive the TV's for the model homes. This is ridiculous. My husband has been in the phone with The Home Depot Protection plan for 40 minutes with 3 separate supervisors and they can't fix it. Meanwhile I haven't been about to use my oven for over a week. I will never use We spent over $5 grand for all our new appliances and warranties just to have them break down and not help us. Mean while every supervisor is saying Thank You for using The Home Depot while not helping us. I will never purchase anything from them again. read more

I had to go to a hardware store to get a couple of screws for my license plate cover. A screw from my license plate cover must have fallen out and the other became loose over time. I went straight to the hardware department with the screw that had fallen out in my hand. As soon as I walked up to the hardware department one of the clerks immediately approached me and asked how he could be of help. It was nice that I didn't have to wander through the store looking for an orange vested employee to give me the help that I needed. The gentleman was very patient with me and helped me find exactly what I needed. When we found the correct screws he was kind enough to ask me if I have the necessary tools to install the screws on my license plate. Which is why am writing this review. I just want to say I really appreciated that extra step this employee took when asking me if I had everything I needed. To me that is good customer service. I will most definitely return to this hardware store in the future. As I believe that the employees are kind and patient in helping people (like me )who lack a vast background in hardware and tools. read more

Horrible customer service. Going off what the apron said the sales person Mychelle had horrible attitude. I had to wave someone else down to help because she was to busy talking. She seen me waiting at the counter originally. Person I waved down told me she had to get someone else. Mychelle had an attitude when the coworker came over to her letting her know I need help. Try blaming me fore waving some else down like was my fault for not waiting longer than the 10mins I had already waited. What's funny, she tried telling me she was helping a customer. Went in for a pvc pipe. I waited 20-30 mins for a "plumber" to cut the pipe for me. The plumber never showed so I wasted time going as I could not wait any longer and left without anything I went in for. Wild to me that there's only 1 person in an entire Home Depot that can cut a pvc pipe. read more
