I'm almost 80 years old so not as agile as I once was. Today, shopping for a vacant rental I needed help with purchasing a Toilet, and new Bathroom Vanity. Alexis and David assisted getting the toilet on the cart. Both young and helpful. Next was the Vanity. Of course it was on a top shelf and was going to need a lift truck to remove off the self, and put on the second cart. Both Alexis and David did their best to get someone to help, as they were not licensed for the lift machine. They called 3 different times. Shawn P. Arrived to get the vanity down from the top shelf, remove bed the vanity and transferred to my cart. Now off to get checked out. Paul, a PRO cashier assisted my wife with the purchase, helping with two carts while I went to move my vehicle to the loading zone. We stopped by the Home Depot today to look at refrigerators. They are having a big 4th of July sale on their appliances. Sadly, they didn't have a large inventory of refrigerators. But there was a nice sales associate helped us find one online. We gave him the measurements of the size we need and he found a few, online, that met our needs. Picked up a Ryobi wall mountable folding workbench here and later that day opened it up for installation only to find rocks instead of brackets. I should have known when purchasing it that this was potentially a return as there was an unusual amount of tape on the box and the box was damaged as well. The store should have done a better job of checking returned items before taping it up and putting it back on the shelf for sale. read more

It would be nice if they kept their shopping carts from wandering down the street, and cleaned up some of the trash that accumulates on the edges of the property. I purchased a 8ft ladder during the Black Friday sale. I went in to pick up the ladder after the window of time that was giving for pick up. I arrived to pick it up at the customer service desk. The gentleman that help me tried calling the back so they can bring it to the front and no one answered the phone. So the gentleman ran back to get the ladder, only to come back empty handed. He told that my ladder was not back there. He Sid he could refund the money but I insisted in keeping the order live because needed it. He said if I didn't mind waiting they would hold one for me, which I agreed on. So I get a call from an associate on 12/3 that he had cancelled my order, at that point I was upset. He handed the phone over to his supervisor who apologized but I told him that I had wasted time and gas. I felt that they sold my ladder and were taking the easy route and not honor the sale price. The supervisor then talked to the Manager and the Gm gave the ok for the sale price be honored when the ladders came back in and that they would call me to let me know that they have arrived. It's 12/30 and haven't heard back. Bad customer service and as it is it's hard to get any help at any of the stores. I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed. Do better Home Depot. read more

Young man in lumber searched for it and finally figured out the boars were stacked away up high on third shelf. He had use a fork lift to move obstacles and then lower the stack of boards. Normally, they're dependable. Don't like the owner's politics, but they're closer than Lowe's and returns at this location have been pretty fast and hassle-free. Every personal encounter I have had in person has been great, actually. What's bumming me out at the moment is that I ordered a disposal with installation. I figured I could trust Home Depot to do this. Well, the website and email says I'd get a call within 48 hours. It's been 7 days and I haven't gotten a call. Turns out the job is given to a third party (which I could have done myself). Five days in, a rep gave me the third party number to call myself which is inconvenient, and they haven't called me back. Lame. It's now coming on two weeks and not even the store itself will call me back. The phones ring and ring. Corporate won't do anything. The phone mazes are unbearable. How Doers Get Done? I'm Done. Update: Manager WES worked hard to help me get back on track, offering me to pay a third party and then he'd refund my installation charge (which I still don't get, but OK). Problem is that the installation company discovered the new disposal was faulty during testing. I had to go get a new one. And the installer the next day found the second disposal to be faulty and had to return it. read more

Went to pick up an online order and there was a discrepancy with what was sent to the store, vs what I ordered. Terrie, at the Order Pick Up desk, was incredibly rude. She told me that I needed to accept the incorrect items and call the online customer service line for help. She kept telling me she had just started her shift (I arrived 20 minutes after the store opened). Her attitude was extremely unprofessional, but fortunately Sonya, at the next counter was able to help me. She was super patient and jumped on a call with the online Home Depot rep immediately to try and sort out the order mix up. Avoid Terrie at the front desk if you need any help. read more

This store sold me a "new" Kohler toilet all taped up and looking new, but when we opened the box it had been already installed, had caulk around the base, no directions and bolts missing. I love going to the Home Depot, even when I have nothing to buy. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but walking down aisles and aisles where a significant amount of the stuff has an unknown purpose, seeing all the cool tools, and spending time in the garden center are all very enjoyable for me. Of course they have almost anything you could want for home improvement, construction, landscaping, etc. Minus 1 star because it is just so annoying to flag down someone to help. read more

Parking is a little odd. I'll get that off my chest. The store is always well stocked and I never had any difficulties finding someone when I had a question. I mostly come here for gardening and they always have a nice selection of flowers, veg and fruit trees. This year I bought a bunch of bulbs that I hope will bring a smile to people who walk past my house in the spring. We've come here regularly over the years for home improvement items including replacement fans (wrong one and returning was super easy), painting (fun people who blend it up) and tools. Daughter came here when she needed boxes when she moved to Utah. Prices are fair. People are helpful. Bathrooms are easy to find and clean. If you don't have much, I'd recommend the checkout area in the gardening center. It's usually empty. read more

When we were doing renovations, I was in here multiple times a week! As usual, if you know what you are looking for and what you need...it will be an excellent experience. However, if you don't...then don't expect much. For example, when we purchased our pergo laminates flooring...the sales person here was great when we provided our measurements BUT when it came time to buying the appropriate flooring for the stair and stair noses...his knowledge was very limited. Instead of calling for help, the wrong order was made and I ended up having to bring back a truckful of extra flooring. So my moral of the story is - do your research first. Even if it's something simple like where an item is...their app is actually pretty accurate about capturing what's in stock and what is not. It's also helpful they list the exact locations and bays that the item is located in. No need to ask anybody since it's always tough tracking somebody down! Overall associates here are friendly though. Always nice to me, my kid, and my dog! The only time somebody was rude was one of the solar energy vendors who walk around with the iPad trying to get you to set up an appointment haha. Always plenty of parking and it's always easy to get in & out of this location (unlike Campbell) haha. read more

I love the store because it is well stocked but, the employees are hard to find for getting some assistance. Go into the electrical department and there were two employees there...too busy talking to one another about what they were going to do for Christmas they never even looked at me let alone bother to ask me if they could help me. Nothing. I waited and waited but not one person came up to me and asked if they could help me find the wire I was looking for on the wire machine display. I got so fed up and left. Went home and ordered the wire and connectors I needed and for less money. Then these places wonder why they go out of business! Customers are treated like second class citizens and they act like we are bothering them when you ask for some help. The worst person I have encountered was in customer service where Terry, practically attacked me when I brought in an empty propane tank for refill deposit! Very poor experience at The Home Depot this morning. We went to get a Christmas tree and we asked the worker in the garden section if someone could come help us put a stand on it and bring it to the car. I'm not sure if the store actually put stands on though like other Home Depots do because we didn't see a station to put them on, but they said they did. She called for someone to come and after we waited for awhile she literally told us "no one wants to come out to do it." Absolutely ridiculous and so upsetting!! read more

A few additional thoughts: - thanks for HD to manage keeping store open with good hours and safe during pandemic times. - in many occasions in the past few years lumber is not on stock. Apparently, contractors order pallets of fencing planks and the stock they receive is spoken for before it goes on shelf. So much for home owners and these only needed a few planks. - other Home Depot and Lowe's store seems to keep up cleaning at a better level than this store. Some stock items are covered in dust, lumber area is not kept clean and stocked as it could be. - would like to see contactless hand sanitizers at entrances and at check outs. - I tried to use the touchless pick up but no one was attending or came out to deliver on the parking lot and after waiting 15 minutes on parking lot, I had to go in line for pick up at customer service as usual... read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I waited for 45 minutes in the flooring section and NO ONE helped me. I asked three times for assistance and they called three times for someone to assist a customer in flooring. I finally had it and went to customer service. They called yet again, and looking for "Andrew." Was he on his lunch? Was he even at work? No he was "helping another customer and it would be a while. Well considering there was no one else around in the flooring department I called BS. They said no one else in the store could operate the mechanical carpet carousel. BULLSHIT! A giant corporate hardware store has only one employee that can operate that thing!?!?! I won't be back, ever. read more

Save yourself a lot of aggravation do not purchase a gift card from Home Depot. We were given two gift cards and when we took them out of the cardboard, scratched them off and tried to use them they had no pins and after much time and energy and investigation. Home Depot said they had been used online and they had no value. Please note we did not use these so somebody at this location is scamming gift cards be aware do not purchase gift cards from Home Depot. You will be setting yourself up for disappointment and lack of clarity as they will not or cannot tell us where and when these cards were used online. I believe this is a police matter, and Home Depot needs to have a better system of tracking their own gift cards or preventing people from stealing them before you actually get to use what you have paid for or been given by somebody else who has paid for them and expects you to be able to use them. So now we have a receipt for the gift cards and two useless gift cards that were supposed to have a significant amount of money on them. read more

We were in there at 11 am to 11:30 in the paint department we came in to get a paint match because we had a fire on our house and there was a lady and a gentleman working and they were both extremely kind and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed with such a cheerful attitude which means a lot she matched our chip perfectly and I got to thank her when we were done but not the gentleman that helped us also we didn't see him. The self checkout gentleman was very nice too smiling and helpful! Everyone there is nice inside and outside. I thank them and would like their managers to know. I purchased a washer & dryer, then scheduled delivery in Los Gatos for June 16. This is for a business so I had to drive 3 hours from Sacramento to be there at 8:30 AM. The driver arrived but never bothered to come to my suite. I figured all of that out 25 minutes later but there was no chance the truck could turn around (?). So, we rescheduled today. No I e told me the delivery range. I called and someone told me 10 AM to 2 PM. Had staff there until 2, and no delivery. Called the store, waited 4 minutes, someone answered and immediately hung up. Called again and it took 6 minutes for anyone to answer. Of course, there is nothing they can do, it's a vendor. So sorry...you know the drill. read more

WOW! It was funny that I was talking about Home Depot and how they NO longer have or give customer service. I went in to get 2 miner pluming items. One person, an employee, told me where to find it but I felt bad that it put him out that much. I got the 2 items and went to the check out counter where I was rudely informed there was NO code to scan and I needed to get it taken care of. Was looking for a specific item in the gardening and she told me she doesn't work here in the gardening but she was outside walking around there.
