Always a large selection merchandise, but Help can be spotty. It's one of the only shows in town, however.

This is a horrible location! I live closer to and usually shop the Bell Rd/Tatum store, and that location is spectacular. All the managers/employees, especially Manager Jason, are awesome there. Unfortunately they were out of the Midea portable floor AC unit I needed and had to go to the N Hayden location. I had purchased this unit from the Bell Rd Home Depot location on May 29th, 2026, and unfortunately it already died. I filed a claim with Midea, and provided them with all necessary documentation. After several days of review, they sent me a "Return Goods Authorization" (RGA) for a direct exchange at Home Depot. I originally went to the Bell Rd Home Depot, but they were sold out of the unit. They were very nice and called the Hayden location, who had the item in stock, and had them set it aside. I drove 25 minutes to the Hayden location and went to customer service with my form and unit. They had the new unit waiting. The customer service employee had never seen the form. I asked her to call a manager, as a manager should be familiar with this form and process. It took her about 20 minutes to locate the manager via phone. When she finally located the manager, Travis, she explained the situation to him. Travis never came to the Customer Service area in person, and on the phone, he just said that he would not exchange it. I told her he is wrong, I have all the documentation and he should at least come look at it because this is pre-approved through Midea and Home Depot. Travis refused to present himself in person, and they sent me packing, refusing to exchange. I hauled my merchandise back out to the parking lot and into my vehicle, and called the Home Depot customer service line. I explained the situation and the customer service representative was awesome and apologized regarding Travis. She asked for the case # and RGA# on my form and placed me on hold. She came back a short time later, apologized, and said go back in the store, that she spoke with Mr Travis, and they would exchange it like they were supposed to. She said I would probably see Travis back at customer service when I went back in. So I went back in, of course no Travis to be found, and they did exchange the unit like they should have. The employees were not overly friendly, but I understand they were following Travis' direction. Travis is a HORRIBLE representative for Home Depot and he represents the worst in customer service and not what Home Depot is known for. My guess would be this isn't their first issue with him. If you do have to shop this store, just hope you don't have to deal with Travis. Travis, at the minimum, you could've done your job. For me, I'll avoid the Hayden location and continue to shop the Tatum/Bell store as they represent everything great that Home Depot is known for!!! read more

Purchased a Husky rolling tool cabinet online. It was delivered today, damaged. We asked for Home Depot to pickup the damaged one and bring us a new one. They said no. They will pick up the damaged one, then refund the money in about 7 days and then we have to reorder the tool cabinet. All we want is a replacement for the damaged one they delivered. The associate in returns initially refused to warranty a ratchet without a receipt in the last 90 days. Marty screwed up my pro account order so I was unable to return my item when I came back to the store later today. Travis the assistant manager fought me practically kicking and screaming about my refund because he could not find the order that I purchased earlier that day so I had to go out to my truck furious looking for the receipt for the purchase I made earlier that day and in the process of doing so locked my keys in my truck. Been coming to this Home Depot off and on for over the past 5 years. Always convenient and the staff are always friendly and helpful when finding tools or equipment. They have a wide variety of equipment and paints and repair equipment. How is it that this store/chain can survive? How does a store meet/exceed revenue goals, by not selling a product? So many employees visibly standing around, yet I must wait 20-30 minutes for assistance. The worst Home Depot location ever. Bad experience service here. Not recommended at all

A terrible and disorganized store. We wanted to float vinyl flooring over our wood flooring to protect the wood. The measuring guy told us there may be an issue with that so we went into the store and sat there for over an hour while the very helpful flooring associate made phone calls to clear the installation as we wanted it to go. When she received clearing she wrote up the invoice to include the $90 delivery fee. After the products were delivered we received calls telling us the installation could not go forward without tearing up our existing wood floor. We asked the products to be picked up and the installation cancelled. After a few calls to the store to confirm that the products had been returned and a very long time on the phone while they corrected their errors so that the full refund would be issued we were told that we had to physically carry the debit card back into store in order for them to process the refund. We received a gift card as a gift and after scratching the film off of the number and pin the pin was indecipherable. We went through customer service over the phone and after two dropped calls was given a customer case number and told to go to the store where they would help us get a new pin. After getting to the store and being on the phone for another 30+ minutes, we were informed that the only way to use the card was by having the person who bought the gift card, provide a proof of purchase. We attempted to speak to Travis in the store at customer care and he was just as unhelpful as the phone customer service. After wasting over 2 hours of our time between home calls and the terrible customer service from Travis we left. We've received gift cards with scratched off PIN numbers from other companies in the past and were offered a new gift card or a digital version of the gift card without hassle. This experience defers us from wanting to support the company in the future in any way. read more

This review is STRICTLY regarding their credit card-I actually give the store itself a 5 star rating. When I moved to S Carolina, I went to the new local store and applied for a Home Depot Credit Card. They scanned my new SC driver's lic and told me the card would arrive in 7 to 10 days. Never came. Then I get a call from our old home in New England that the card had arrived there. I had them open up the envelope and they told me the card said it was already active. It said there was no need to activate it. I found out there was already a charge on the account. I called and cancelled that card immediately. Home Depot told me I would never be able to get a credit card from them because I cancelled that card. That's OK--I have a couple credit cards already anyway... read more

I usually will never review a store like this but I would have to say this has to be the most profiling Home Depot anywhere in the Southwest. Every time I go there I swear these employees are stalking as I shop. Thought it was just me being paranoid so I started taking videos especially when I get to the checkout register. They're on you like Hawks asking you if you need help...repeatedly. no I understand to also keep an eye out for thieves or anything suspicious especially in this economy but how they survey me it's basically harassment at least from an attorney friend I've been talking to . The last instance is a lady skinny my store items for me and she continued and just to stare at the receipt ..."I'm like lady you scanned the items" she's says she's just double checking and "making sure" okay but why is it taking you 5 minutes to look at five items?? Today I went shopping as usual with a cart and as I'm going through the aisle, an employee blocks me and asked me if I'm ready to check out I say no I'm actually trying to get into the aisle too look at some other items in the corner of my eye I had already seen this guy watching me f and I just put it off like it was nothing but then I passed him he turns around and now he surveilling the side im on. Then I remember oh this is possibly the most racist Home Depot ever or... so then I started recording and testing him. I went to the other side on the other aisle started looking at other things all of a sudden his attention is right over there I go to the back of the aisle to the guy stands and the other aisle just staring at me so I go and get a thing I forgot from the other side of the store come back the guy is just watching me again trying to push me into a register by blocking but I go around him and go to myself checkout. So he turns around comes back and says do you need help checking out again I say no I don't I got my items and so he just proceeds to stand right at my register and stare at me. Next thing I know literally I'm not even exaggerating 4!!!! guys are facing my register! guess I look highly suspicious for some reason I wonder what the reason could be....hmmmmmm...?? Anyways so I received to check myself out I look up there all staring at me feet facing towards my register mind you there are other aisles of self checkout register or customers are actually checking out at but nobody else is there... mind you there was an customer actually calling for help but I guess they didn't hear them the first two times because they were so busy staring at me. I have never committed a crime in my entire life , actually govt clearance I know they can't know this but the reason why I'm stating this is to convey I look like a normal everyday shopper. Never given Home Depot a reason to think I'm stealing or anything but I find it really odd and really weird that every single time and I'm talking about every single time !!!!I go into this Home Depot these people are on me like hops asking every 3 seconds if I need help with anything. Damn please that Home Depot hires now a days don't even know what they sell. I can ask for something that Home Depot keeps stock of and they will tell me oh they don't sell something like that I've never heard of something like that. This Home Depot in particular most of the employees are just standing around anyway like they have nothing else to do . I just really had to put this out there because after the 6th VIDEO of being followed stuffed and basically harassed at this Home Depot at so check out someone needs to do investigation. It was Tuesday March 4th. 60 degrees at 5:35pm. I found a claw machine at goodwill with no batteries. I marched into Home Depot on a mission for D batteries. There the man was .. *phoenix*. He looked at me with terrific energy & asked me what I needed help with. He was unbelievably invested with the claw machine. We tried putting in the batteries together but unfortunately we were let down. For real though Phoenix has the best energy . The way he talks to people was awesome. Not sure why but this Home Depot rarely if ever has extra small storage boxes. It is such an inconvenience and waste of time to go there for them. Now we have to schlep down to the 90th store. My wife and I have been working on a project where we needed to get some melamine cut to size. She was at a Home Depot earlier today and was so excited to bring the melamine home to make sure it fits where we will be using it. Unfortunately, we were about a half inch off in size, so we were unable to use the melamine as is. We started to worry and placed a few calls to the Home Depot stores close to our home. We spoke to the lumber department at this store and spoke with Stu. We explained that the melamine was cut about a half inch too long, and he said to just bring it back in and he (or his co-worker Phil later on in the evening) will be able to easily take care of it. We then realized we had called the wrong location, so we tried the closest Home Depot to us where we spoke to someone who said that he would not be able to cut anything less than a foot (and who also seemed to be confused on what he could physically do at all). We decided to err on the side of caution and to drive further away to the Hayden location and see if Stu or Phil could still assist. Upon arriving to the Home Depot's Hayden location, we easily were directed to the lumber department and quickly bumped into a staff member (Phil), who immediately understood what we were needing and was able to take care of it within five minutes as if it was no big deal. Everyone we past along the way to the lumber department and back were so helpful and friendly. They all genuinely wanted us to be happy customers and have what we needed resolved. Thank you to the entire Hayden team and a special thank you to Stu and Phil!!! Great service! Also, we were stressing to make sure we could make it over before they closed at 9 PM tonight, but upon arriving, we learned that they just expanded their hours to be more convenient. Is your home Depot good? This one's better. The main difference in this Home Depot is that all the staff has exceptional customer service. They're well stocked, and when you can't find something, there's always someone working nearby that is glad to help. Many improvement stores/ hardware stores are equatable in inventor/prices, but somehow this particular store seems to be a cut above because of the aforementioned attributes. They're open super early if you want to get an early start on your project and they're open really late if you forgot something. The home Depot credit card seems to be a good deal because they give you free financing for 12 or 24 months, and send you coupons for the same after the initial time period. They even let you use your credit card without it physically being present because it's connected to your account/ social security number. This is my go-to hardware store over Lowe's anytime. read more

We're in this Home Depot at least once a week! Actually, it seemed as if we were in here two or three times a week for Christmas items and to compare prices of stoves (and microwaves). Ours died just after Thanksgiving. Other stops along our magical mystery journey were, Lowe's near In 'n Out, Sears Appliance on Northsight and Best Buy. Propane refills, Christmas trees, pool chemicals, water filters for the refrigerator, plants for the yard and a 240 watt three prong electrical plug and plate, are just some our recent purchases. Specifically for the Employee by the name of Kayla in the Hayden Rd Store in Scottsdale I write this review. I have never had such great customer service in my life. Great customer service seems to be a lost art. If Home Depot equips their staff with amazing employees like Kayla, they will be invincible. I called this store after many Home Depot 800 calls with no one to speak to, only recordings and some were actually 'ads'. When I reached Kayla I was pleasantly surprised to find someone who was very gracious, and empathetic to my issue with storage sheds that I waited 3 weeks for. I spent, literally, all day trying to assemble a shed with, evidently, the wrong hardware and a bowed side. I even called company who manufactured the product and ultimately could not get true satisfaction. Kayla was my dream customer care person!! She was not only caring, but she got on the problem immediately finding the solution for Home Depot to accommodate my returns. After my nightmare with the first shed, I did not want to open the other 2 boxes. They are on a Pallet ready for a Reverse delivery!! Thank you Kayla and Home Depot! read more

Every Home Depot is exactly the same you cannot find anybody to help you and if you do they just tell you it's not their department go walk around that department I think I saw him and God forbid you need a big cart to get some heavy items the employees use all those none for the Customer premier hint if you want to find an employee go to the break room there's always more in there then on the floor and Half the stuff you need will not be in stock or its above in the overhead but don't ask them to get a ladder to help you its against Home Depot rules read more

Rented a truck the policy was bad they don't do it right: as I was driving their employee called me twice to "remind me to get gas receipt" of course I didn't answer because my phone wasn't synced with the rental truck I drove and I'm a safe driver. I unloaded the dryer they didn't deliver got the truck back and didn't use any gas because I live across the street. Their rude manager told me she'd like me to get to gas station and fill it up a gallon because their smallest amount she can charge for gas is $14. Policy is wrong and customer service sucks I will switch to Loews they never charged me twice as much as promised and always deliver their appliances with a smile. Good luck if you go to Home Depot. I was refrigerator shopping and a sign on the fridge I wanted indicated that there would be a sale from July 1-21 (10% off). I decided 10% was worth returning to the store on those dates. Except, NOPE, apparently an unknown, unidentified someone put the sign where it was not supposed to go - despite the description of the fridge being on the sign MATCHING the fridge I wanted. I took pictures. The Home Depot won't honor it despite my proof. Cannot find contact information for the General Manager or corporate offices. After doing some research online - there are MANY complaints regarding The Home Depot and it appears that NO ONE with issues can get action. BUYER BEWARE.
