A lady with a pixie cut and gray hair with glasses was super rude to me!! I was unboxing something to see its quality she then made a huge deal about it said "are you gonna buy that" complained to all her employees in front of my face being extremely rude then continued to move the item to the front. I was extremely uncomfortable, I was not going to steal the item just seeing if something's that's worth 1$ but is posed as 6$ is actually worth it. Be nice to your customers lady! So rude and made me sad. I bought it out of pity then donated to their dog shelter. Her name is Tonya and whatever I bought ended up breaking, like i said not worth 6$. read more

Was just there around a couple hours ago and ended up having a medical emergency when I was using the bathroom so I was in there for a bit waiting to get picked up. I understand they were probably trying to close and they were trying to clean the bathrooms, I get it. I used to work in this industry as well, but as I was getting ready to leave the bathroom all well I couldn't breathe and was extremely dizzy I could hear the workers outside saying they were going to kick down the door. They were men also that is completely inappropriate, completely rude and inconsiderate. All it takes is a little bit of kindness to ask if someone is OK rather than making these comments, it's unacceptable. read more

Lovely store. Large variety of items to meet your needs. Aisles reasonable size. Came in for a large Yeti magslide lid. They have a large selection of Yeti products. I was very surprised to see some old school Necco candies here. I haven't seen those in years. I did not get any, only the Yeti lid but seeing the Necco candy weirdly made me happy. I stopped in here today to get some Mosquito Bits that I needed to tackle the annoying gnats in my house plants. I wandered in before 8am, on my way to work, and was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. The gentleman knew exactly where my item was and pointed me in the direction. The customer service at this store is so bad it borders on openly hostile. My wife got 5 paint samples that were clearly all the same color. When she returned to try and get the samples corrected to the 5 different colors we asked for, the employee gas lit her and performed a little experiment trying to say the samples were different and refused to help in anyway. He was condescending and cruel in a manner that goes beyond poor customer service, it lacked basic humanity. 0/10 will never step foot into an Ace ever again. read more

People underestimate the small hardware store. This one is near my home and great for quick "grabs" that I wouldn't need to go to the big box store for. The customer service is outstanding and 5stars. Usually, you can find someone that can point you in the right direction every time. It's amazing how they remember what isle everything is on. Very convenient. Very helpful staff. Weed prevention and theft prevention all in one location. Grabbed 1,183 ml of weed spray and 50 rounds of 9mm Blazer CCI ammo here, who knew Ace stocked ammo. Pretty cool, and the staff were super helpful. Not sure where ownership picked up the young men who work here, but their attitudes match their high level of product knowledge. Selected my ammo ($23 for brass casing factory ammo) and it was waiting up front. Got help in the pesticide aisle (sorry dude, missed your name) and checked out all in under 10 minutes. I've been coming into this Ace Hardware for about three years now with my husband I came in a lone this time to pick up a drill bit that needed to cut through metal for my Jeep (I do social media for a living, and was making a new video) and they had the audacity to say that they saw me on Camera, putting something into my bag. When I did not take my bag off my shoulders and then they said they saw me put it in my pocket. Which I can guarantee the cameras saw me hand the item back to the worker, and he put it on the Hook I have not stolen a single item in my entire life. I even said you can look at my pockets. You can look at my bag The fact that I had gotten kicked out. It's ridiculous. This Ace Hardware should be shut down the fact that they treat their customers this way is baffling they hardly have any selection for tools and quite frankly that's ace hardware looked very ghetto for something that's in Scottsdale. Scott in paints deal with people like me (someone who doesn't know what they're doing!) all day but he patiently walks you through it, finds what it is your job really calls for and does it all with a smile! I had had an issue with the proper crediting of Ace Rewards points for a purchase of a Weber grille earlier this year, and had received no response to two emails to Ace. I called first and found a can of paint there that was not available elsewhere. A good start for what ended up being a very pleasant experience. The clerk was very polite, helpful and professional. When I arrived he had the can. of paint out on the counter waiting for me. While he was mixing up the paint and I wandered around the store, what a extensive selection. While the big box stores still are good for some of the larger things, this place probably has just as large a selection. I have frequented this Ace Hardware near my workplace hundreds of times in the last couple of decades. While I fully understand the current retail workplace environment is trying, not honoring my $20 off frequent buyer coupon just because I forgot I had it in my pocket and you'd already ran my credit card Is troubling to say the least. I would've been more than willing to stand aside in line and wait until the young gentleman at the counter had a chance to re-ring my items, but apparently that was not an option. I Didn't feel like arguing with him as there were people behind me in line.
