I stopped in for one simple item--salt for my water softener--but my toddler started having a full meltdown the moment we walked through the door. One of the employees immediately noticed I was struggling and asked what I needed. Instead of just pointing me in the right direction, they offered to shop for me, brought everything to the front, and had me checked out quickly. They knew exactly which product I was looking for, making the whole process incredibly easy. I initially declined their offer to help load my purchase into my car, but when they saw I was still trying to manage my upset toddler, they came outside anyway, loaded the bags into my car, and even returned the shopping cart for me. Call before even thinking about driving here because they probably don't have what you want. After going online, the website stated that they had 12 packs of pool shock. Even offered the option to purchase online and set up curbside pickup. Glad I did not do so. Upon arrival, I simply could not find the item. I'm giving an extra star because of the younger gentleman who was helpful and tried to assist. However, he called someone else when he also could not locate the item. The older gentleman who then showed up was anything but helpful, and instead quite rude. When I calmly mentioned the website (as it's certainly not their fault they don't have it), he rudely retorted that the website is corporate and they have nothing to do with it. As if it was my fault for being an idiot (it sometimes is, but not this occasion), he argued that the website clearly states not available at all stores. When I told him it says specifically available at this location, he intimated that I was a liar. I chose not to argue, given I had my phone in hand with the site pulled up showing otherwise as indicated in my screenshot. read more

Yeah after asking a question to a "helpful" employee that got me nowhere, I left bewildered and a bit pissed. Will not be back. I asked where some stovetop drip pans were and the guy looked at me like I was stupid and only gave me "...well I dunno about that." Pretty rudely so, and I spotted them myself and he still was being a bit offputting and didn't seem to like helping. Its tough to describe but that was just not ok and not like any Ace help should be. I should've called and spoke with management but had to be somewhere. Might I mention, this isn't the first time I had an issue here (twice a key cut was botched) or have been treated like a nuisance by someone here which was probably the same guy. This is such a pleasant little place as it's nicely maintained and X-mas decorations were everywhere. The place felt like a department store in vibe and color. Right when you walk in there is staff walking around and behind the cash registers ready to help you. Went to Ace hoping they could color match off of a paint chip I brought in. Well the chip I brought in was way too small and would not work with their spectrometer. So the worker (wish I got his name) spent probably an hour helping me by making up samples and seeing how close we could match it. By the end he found a perfect match from another brand of paint that matched exactly. When I got home I used it for touch up paint and you could not tell the difference once it dried. I was extremely impressed with the person who helped me for his patience and persistence to get the color match spot on. read more

It's been around for decades and although it's smaller then the HUGE BOX stores, they have a great selection of goods at good prices and they spend time to help you make a choice and educate you on how to install or set up whatever you need. Visited this store and had to wait 10-15 minutes for a sales person. This was not a big deal since I was planning on buy a stihl product which retails around $650. So I wanted someone that knew there product. Final a spike haired lady approached me I can see her coming since nobody else is in the store. She is yelling "what do you need how can I help you". She is literally yelling from one end of an aisle to me. I just wait since I don't see any reason to scream back towards her. When she gets to me she again repeats what do you need, how can I help you. I tell her what products I'm interested in and she basically just reads me the information on the tag. I'm fine with that since I did my research on the internet. When I ask her if they have another one in a box since this one looked used with dirt and scratch over the entire product. She turns and says nope that's it you can buy that one or go somewhere else. So I'm giving this review a one star the customer service would have been better at a trailer park complete uneducated employee. With no manners or costumer service skills. read more

I had delivery of items to my home and the delivery person did NOT wear a mask and came right up to my door to talk assembly. I would make sure if you are high risk or that you are someone who actually understands we are in a pandemic and many people are suffering long term health issues or dying from Covid that you tell them in advance they should be delivering with a mask on. They won't have my business ever again and I want the community to know they are not up to the standards of delivery and don't seem to care about their customers lives. read more

So disappointed with this Ace Hardware. I'm not sure why Holly a cashier at Ace still has her job she has the worst customer service skills that I've ever seen. She's rude disrespectful unfriendly and a mean bully. Holly told me that an advertised price was not really the price the price was what she charged and she ripped the advertisement down and stormed off to huff and puff. I was able to speak to a manager who apologized and corrected Holly's mistake and because the manager acted the way I'm use to Ace hardware employees acting I purchased some other things while in the store. I did not see anyone correct Holly's behavior or say anything to her about her action so that was disappointing. I have to say that I will not continually to give business to Ace with those type of employees. Home Depot is close by and the employees there are always helpful, friendly and personable. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with staff over a period of several days to obtain and retrofit a particularly challenging "hardware malfunction". They were as committed to achieving a solution as I was! And in the meanwhile, I had the opportunity to explore nooks & crannies of the store, discovering both items I really needed that I had not found elsewhere, AND that staff were positively encyclopedic in their knowledge of what I might locate, and where I would locate it, among their aisles. I recently moved to the area and needed a few things for my new house. I've always loved shopping at Ace Hardware because of the service so I was happy to find this one so close to home. I was disappointed in what I found. Kurt was rude and unhelpful. He just pointed in a direction and sounded grumpy. It was hard to find another employee on the sales floor. I found a lady ( didn't see name, Ohio shirt) who was putting price tags on the shelf. She stopped what she was doing to help me find all the items on my list. The register line was long, but Andrew was very nice and upbeat. I'll be back in and hopefully they will get more help on the sales floor. read more

The female employees are amazingly helpful. The male employees, however, ignore female customers (as they also do in big box stores). Although a few things I needed were not carried by Ace, the young lady helping us told us several plumbing supply vendors to try instead. Overall, a good experience but only due to Amanda being so customer-oriented! When I go back, I will ask for her. Yesterday I had a pump go out in a small pond I have in my back yard. The owner of the house I lease replaced it about 6 months ago and on a whim I took it in to see if it was still under warranty. The people were friendly and very helpful and gladly swapped it out without the usual guilt from other hardware stores. Fantastic Whole-House Screen Installation Got several estimates from firms that specialize in screen installs for our entire house, and decided to try this Ace as well since they had done a nice efficient job on a minor screen job in the past. They were the only ones who didn't bat an eye about doing everything we needed, including 2 problematic completely new swing-out screen doors. Their competition made us feel like those doors were a major opus; with Ace it was all "no problem". Great communication from manager Kelli from the gitgo. All personnel, starting with main guy (Drew), were very courteous, careful, professional and efficient even tho' it took sdditional time in the mid-summer scorching heat to do the job to perfection. Despite some delays NOT DUE TO ACE but because their supplier dropped the ball, Kelli and the crew bent over backward to be sure that all materials and installation would be first quality and that we were kept informed about everything--they didn't try to cut any corners. And all of this at a straightforward, competitive (actually, BETTER) cost compared to the competition. We'd use them again in a heartbeat. read more
