We were in the garden center last night about 6pm. As we were looking at the roses, all of a sudden water came pouring down all over us. They turned the sprinklers ON. The employees were there, saw what was happening and just walked on by, ignoring us. Who cares if the customers get drenched, right? I just purchased a refrigerator from home depot and I wanted it delivered and the old broken refrigerator taken away. The only door that the delivery driver and crew, Oscar and Julio could bring the appliances thru was a super tight fit. They didn't give up, the tried a few different ways to get the appliances in and out of my home. They spent just a little more time at my house but they are miracle workers. This wasn't their 1st time working with a small front door. I thank them from the bottom of my heart since I had been waiting for the delivery and was without a refrigerator for almost a week and I couldn't image what would have happened if they couldn't bring it thru the door. I would recommend these 2 guys to everyone. Paul in appliances help me pick out the perfect refrigerator for my needs. Love the Home Depot app. After looking at options at the store, I ordered garden blocks to build a raised garden, through the app. I was able to order, pay, and get receipt. It said "deliver tomorrow " (free!) The next day I received an email telling me it would be delivered and a link for status. It started with a wide timeframe. It continued to update. Now it has "between 11:30-12:30). Gosh, I am so happy with the service. BTW. Get the app, because when shopping, it tells you what isle, and bin to find it! So helpful! read more

In terms of selection this store has so so much. True to its name sake. However I'm super bummed out with the labor/ service side as of late. The floor is void of cashiers and people who can assist. Well for my wife's birthday she wanted the 12' Skelton which all the stores were sold out. The customer service manager said despite the store manager sating not to sell the display they sold us the display. They told us to come back in the morning to get it and they will break it down for us. We showed up the next morning and the skeleton was missing. John stated he would make it right and he did. Shockingly Racist Store. I went to Sequim Home Depot to get Weatherseal strips for doors and I decided to go with the $15 ones but notice that LAZY employees are putting $6 ones mixed up with the expensive ones so I took my time to make sure the bardcodes matched. If you are not careful enough you can buy, for instance, 12 and have one scanned at the register and when you get home you realize that half of then are $6 and you paid $15 for each. Now, the real problem is that this store by default is not brown and black people friendly, to put it lightly. The employee who was in that department, who was pretending to work secure some doors that were already secure, didn't give a flying f%#** that i was there and was trying to figure out which strips will fit my doors. When I finally figured out what I needed, i went to the register, to pay for the strips and five 5 gallons of water refill, I noticed someone coming to the line. I insisted he went first but he pulled his phone out and kinda ignored me. Then he place behind me as i proceeded to pay. Then i realized that he was there to check with the cashier how much did i paid and what i got. It was too obvious. For any brown or black people, avoid going to Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Co-Op. if you can just avoid going to small towns like Sequim, Port Angeles, where they have never traveled abroad or read a book, do it. I suggest you live these towns immediately because it will only get worst for you. read more

Racial Profiling, Harassment, and Extremely Poor Service. Every time I come to the store I have the Lost Prevention / Self-Checkout dude follow me whatever I go. One time he went running to the garden after me to check what was I doing. I got some items and put them In my cart and proceeded to the garden center to get some tools. He immediately came after me and walked really close to me, almost touching shoulders, confrontational, and invading my personal space. This is just one of the multiple incidents with Lost prevention and how they disguise their "customer service" and their " how are you today. Did you find anything you needed." BS. I know every trick in the book, specially for retail. Today, the same tall, white guy, was staring at me while I was loading four 5 gallons water bottles that I already paid for. I was putting the empty bottles where they usually go and as soon as I was doing that he came close, again, and was staring at me. I noticed this when I was loading the refills and I look at him and tried to approach him but he acted like he was doing something else and left almost immediately. The level of harassment and racial profiling in this store and in many different stores, such as Sequim Co-op, Walmart, and others, its unbelievable. It clearly doesn't happen to white people. Only to people of color, specially brown and black. The part that amazes me the most is that this "Lost Prevention" people are likes little dogs jealously guarding from their masters for a little piece of bone, that is $15 an hour and some free water in the break room. To all managers reading this review: Retrain your employees. Rethink the way you do business. Stop racial profiling black and brown people. Stop judging people by the way they look. I have spent 10 of thousands of dollars at this store so i can remodel a big property I recently bought. Some people look different than the hillbilly doing construction work. Get over it! Also, invest in new card readers. Every single reader shows "card reading error" and one have to try multiple times until it goes through. Your employees can't even greet people and do the most basic things like acknowledge when one is looking for items and they just pass by. They cannot even say "thank you" when the transaction is done or a simple "hello" when one approaches the register. This is embarrassing. Managers should be fired and they should get someone who is professional and capable and not an inept, narrow-minded, racist, and uncapable to manage a team. read more

9:00 in the morning eight people standing in line and only one register open. I purchased two fence panels and three posts. It took every bit of 42 minutes from the time we left the register for their helpers to uncrate those two panels and load them on my trailer that was 5 ft away. We returned the following day to pickup another fence panel and I informed the outside guy that I need another panel he said ok and did nothing to uncrate the panel. I picked up a hammer and began the uncrating and he run over to stop me because I might get hurt. This place has really gone downhill. read more

We had a great experience at the Sequim store. We bought a new lawnmower with help from the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, we had return it, almost immediately because of a good sized oil leak. We were able to return it, and get a new, more expensive model, at a good price. It was a very stressful experience that could have been much, much worse. But the staff and management went out if their way to make things right. I highly recommend this Home Depot. read more

I think it's great that Home Depot hires retirees to work part time, but it's important that they realize they are there to work. When our refrigerator died, I went to Home Depot on a Friday evening to order a new one. The two people working in Appliances knew nothing about appliances. They seemed to only want to chat with each other. After asking questions and getting "I don't know" responses, I decided NOT to buy a major appliance from this store and asked the two Chatty Kathies if they had dorm fridges, figuring I'd get one of those to use until a big fridge was delivered. Chatty Kathy #1 told me that she didn't know what a dorm fridge was. After telling her, she showed me a 10 cubic ft refrigerator, which was conveniently sitting next to boxes containing 1, 2, and 3 cubic ft. refrigerators conveniently labeled "Dorm Refrigerator." I went home in disgust. I ordered a new refrigerator online from Costco (delivery, installation, and hauling away the old one was included in the price!) I decided to get a dorm fridge after all from Home Depot, and ordered one online. Later that day, I went to the Sequim store to pick it up. Customer Service was busy so I waited. When one elderly clerk became free, he turned his back on me, pulled out his phone and started reading. I asked him if he could help me. He scowled, put his phone in his pocket and began logging into a register. Before he could log in, another customer service rep freed up so he turned to the other guy and said, "She wants to pick something up." That was it. No thank you for shopping here. Nothing. Just returned to his phone. The other guy turned out to be very helpful. He had the dorm fridge loaded into my car, and thanked me for shopping there. Finally, I got the dorm fridge home and unpacked, to find two dings on the side of the door. It works and returning it would be an ordeal so I'll keep it, but why am I paying full price for a damaged product? Do better Home Depot. Hire more people like the last guy. I get that being on your feet all day is hard. I get that not wanting to work after retirement is hard (I'm retired too). If you take a job though, do the job. read more

On April 4, 2020 at approximately noon, my 14 year old daughter and I went to the store to buy paint. We were checking out at the self check out when I rang up the wrong bar code. The associate, named Christine walked over to the computer to make the changes and stood next to my daughter. The moment she stepped up to the screen, she started shouting at my daughter "6 feet away! 6 feet away!!" My daughter was confused thinking she was joking, as did I, considering Christine was the one who entered my daughter's space. My daughter took more steps back and Christine stated, "that's not 6 feet, that's two feet!" My daughter looked at me and stepped back further. Christine then proceeded to shout, "I'm not even playing right now, 6 feet away!!" I told Christine she could have asked her more nicely and she said some snide comment I didn't hear. It took all of my self control not to physically harm that woman. I understand everyone is terrified of this virus, but that does not give your employee free reign to verbally attack my child. I am livid. I spoke with the manager and he seemed to only placate me. This woman has no business interacting with the public and if she is that fearful, to the extent of verbally attacking a 14 year old child, she needs to be sent home. I am appalled at the behavior I witnessed today, and frankly that woman was lucky she didn't encounter me in my 20's because I would have knocked the taste out of her mouth. She needs to be written up, reprimanded, and sent to sensitivity training. This is unacceptable. Reserved the biggest dump trailer by PHONE they had a week in advance for a out of town project. We didn't receive any notification that the person didn't return the trailer the evening before. We showed up and had to use their smaller trailer that requires multiple trips. With the cost of diesel, having to make multiple trips added 2 hours of driving on this project. This one-star review is in regard to the amount of dogs in the store that management does nothing about. My concern is who do I file a claim with if a customer's dog harms me on Home Depot's property: will the store's insurance cover that, or will the dog's owner be held responsible, or will both parties get sued? Could other parties get sued too, such as the manager or employees for not willfully enforcing a store safety policy that resulted in harm to a customer on Home Depot's property? I don't want to wait for an accident to find out; Home Depot should be proactive in informing customers and employees how to handle this type of situation, since Home Depot is allowing dogs on their property thereby creating a risk to customers. Why all these dogs are allowed in the store is a serious safety and liability issue to me when the dog owners are not attentive, management is not attentive, and the majority of the dogs I see do not have any service insignia. Sequim is a retirement town and it seems the contentment of retired dog owners take precedent over the safety of all customers on Home Depot's property; after three years of living with it, I am tired of it and it is only getting worse. I once saw a small-print sticker on the sliding entrance door that I had to look for while the door was moving and it stated dogs were not allowed. Is this an enforced policy or not? If the policy isn't going to be enforced, I recommend employee training to address dog owners that they will be held liable if someone gets harmed by their dog on Home Depot's property, and maybe a big sign out front stating the same; because I highly doubt Home Depot's team of lawyers would ever agree to a store being held accountable for someone's dog when the dog was there against store policy. Or maybe the employees and management could start enforcing Home Depot's policy that's already in place by telling dog owners that dogs are not allowed unless they have service insignia. That would be wonderful to see for the safety of everyone on Home Depot's property. read more

Clearly they're selling merchandise they do not have available. However they WILL charge you for that merchandise when you place the order. Our dishwasher order on Mar 2nd was "scheduled" for delivery on March 10th. The evening of the 9th we received an email stating that there is a delay until April 14th. This morning, April 13th we received an email stating it's delayed until MAY 3rd!! No credibility. Customer Service suggested I contact Samsung. I started off in the hardware department. An old man was stocking with his back to me I waited for him to finish than ask for help no answer, asked again, no answer, asked louder he turn to me and yells at me ( can't you see I'm busy WHAT DO YOU WANT) I'm taken aback. Well I'm looking for a 5" pan head wood screw. He look around and hands an 8" screw with a 3/8 head on it. That's not what Im looking for I'll look myself. He then yells at me (That's what you asked for). Hum no it's not. I ended up finding my screws. I then head to the paint department, of course only one employee and he is no where to be found five minutes later here he comes pushing a ladder. Pushed the ladder into the middle isle. Tell me and another person standing there I'll be right with you. He then starts to put sticks on about eight sample bottles. Does nothing else with them. Then tell the two of us waiting for service for at least twelve/fifteen minutes now. I have to make a phone call to somebody who called in an order. The then had a five minute conversation with someone who may or may not even show up I left. I put my screws down in a safe place to go out to the parking lot to get a dolly. I push my dolly across the parking lot and load some particular board on it. Put my screws on top of my wood and park it down the lumber isle. I forgot some hangers I wanted. Came back to my cart less then five minutes an found all of my things had been pushed off my cart onto a low stack of wood all my shit scared behind the stack. I look over to some girl half naked crop top with my cart. I asked her why she did that she said she didn't that the cashier on lane two did it. This place is so mismanaged I feel bad for the few people that do go out of their way to be helpful. Corporate should definitely send new management. Jessie and the other staff at our local Home Depot are great! We have been doing some projects at home and have spent a lot of time (and money ha ha) at our local Home Depot. For various reasons, Jessie, one of the managers has been very helpful. I forgot my coupon at home and didn't want to cancel my special order to go home and get it and she honored the coupon as it was obvious that I had one. Very friendly and seems to know everything! Another time, she connected me with an employee who was very knowledgeable about a problem with a faucet (Thank you Joe in plumbing) For a small town, we are blessed to have Jessie and the staff at Home Depot. read more

Home Depot has just about anything a person could ever want. It is a great place if you're looking for home improvement things, appliances, fixtures, flooring...the list goes on and on. Prices are pretty reasonable but it is difficult to find somebody if you need help. It took about 30 minutes to get a single key made because I had to go to the front to get a person to help me then waited another 20 minutes for the person to show up. Yesterday evening, at 45 minutes till closing, I arrived at Home Depot in Sequim, with a long list of items I needed. The reasons for that fiasco I won't bore you with, but thanx to a number of Home Depot employees with a Can-Do attitude, I was successful. I know they were tired, and I was exhausted, but I was treated to courtesy from everyone I dealt with. Two employees were outstanding and made an extra effort in my behalf and I sincerely want to Thank them. There was Shannon, who is an Assistant Manager who helped me in Lumber. (I was the guy in the handicapped cart). Shannon personally and patiently, helped me select a large number of fence boards, loading them, and getting them to the register, and then a half hour later, eyeballed me at the register and retrieved the cart and made sure they were part of my checkout. The other individual, Don, in Flooring, dropped what he was doing, to assist us with selecting a large remnant of Vinyl flooring and all the sub-items needed for its installation. Both of these fellas were thorough, and displayed a large helping of Customer Service during what was a very stressful time for me, and I'm sure also for them under the circumstances of a holiday weekend, closing time, in a crowded store. I've been waiting in the paint department for over 10 minutes while the guy mixing paint prints out and mixes two other orders before even putting my order in the computer. I don't like this, but maybe he's easily confused and can only do one thing at a time. What I don't find acceptable AT ALL is that another employee comes up while we are waiting, tells this dude what SHE needs mixed for A FRIEND and he takes care of here without a word to us. By now at least one other person is queued up waiting behind us. Every time I need paint there is always some jerk guy mixing and I go through something similar. For the most part, I have had ok experiences with Home Depot in Sequim. However, recently, I went in to purchase a gallon of paint (plain white paint), grabbed the corresponding color tile which the employee at the paint counter mixed up. How could you go wrong with "white"?? Well, I get home, spend hours painting some interior doors only to find out the paint I was given was incorrect!! Apparently, there was a glitch in the computer system. Hours of work down the drain and all I was compensated was the price of the incorrect can of paint! Meanwhile, I had ordered some flooring and was initially given an estimated delivery of 7-10 days. After multiple calls and no call backs, going on three weeks later, I went in to speak to someone in person and was again given another delivery date of another full week away! The older man that "helped" me was very condescending and quite rude. He just kept telling me they could not do anything about it but he'd be happy to cancel my order. He never offered to contact the shipping company and get a definitive delivery date, never apologized for the lack or communication. He just told me, in his words "Unfortunately, there's is nothing I can do for you." Disappointing doesn't quite cover my experiences with Home Depot in the last month. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT HOME DEPOT THAT REQUIRES THEM TO HIRE SUBCONTRACTORS, because if something goes wrong, HD will NOT stand behind it, leaving you hanging...!!! Like another here, we paid nearly $10,000.00 to HD for a new roof. The installation took place on 6/10 & 6/11/2015. At this point, the roof itself is fine, however two issue occurred as a result of the roof installation: 1) The subcontractor (that HD hired) who delivered the materials, offloaded the roofing materials in such a fashion that it has caused the interior drywall of the center ceiling peak/seam to crack, flake and buckle. After over 9 months, this issue is still pending, and we JUST found out today that both HD & Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (the HD claims company) have washed their hands of our claim. The Claims Representative we are dealing with for this Sedgwick Claims actually told us today that we have to deal directly with the subcontractor (that HD hired) to resolve this issue, saying, "Please be advised that your claim is being addressed by Convoy Supply Ltd. You should be hearing from them shortly. Please direct all future correspondence and inquiries to:..." And, 2) when the roof was being installed, one of the installers (different subcontractor that HD hired to do the installation work) fell through some dry rot in the existing roof, falling partially into our bedroom closet, punching a hole in the ceiling drywall, which unloaded insulation all over everything in the closet. After several FAILED attempts to fix it, the local Sequim, WA HD Installation Service Manager threw up his hands and sent our claim issue to Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., who then had us find, hire, and manage the repair. This issue was finally resolved in NOVEMBER. Please note that because the damages were cause by two different HD subcontractors, HD & Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., determined that each be dealt with using different claim numbers, which has caused numerous delays and an incredible amount of stress. So to say we have had a NEGATIVE experience is not strong enough. Or, that HD has been in non-performance to our Agreement is an understatement. All total, it has been over 9 months since the roof was installed. All we are asking for is that a check for $1,105.78 be processed promptly and mailed to us so we can get the damage fixed and move on. That's all... Update (3/16/16) - I called HD, asked for Roofing Installation. Asked if the people HD sends are HD employees or subcontractors. I was told that they are people at companies that HD employs....??? The part about DIY projects that most folk don't get when going to HD is just that, you must do most all of it yourself. Sure, they can point you to where things are on the shelf, but afterwards you're on your own. Very little expertise among staff regarding the how to, so don't expect expert directions. What you can now expect however, as noted of late, is an associate whipping out a smart phone and asking you to stand and watch them surf for your answer, forcing you wait like you're on a bad first date and must come up with an excuse to ditch them. The only thing more bleak than idiotically googling something you don't know much about, is watching someone even more ignorant than yourself doing it. Like most everything left in this world, it's probably best to just stay in, order it online to your door. Avoid the middle-dummy and just buck up and do your own homework before asking anyone in the flesh at HD to help out. It's not the staff's fault they're slow, it's the corporate model that's been built. Get the minions to be armed with magic app machines rather than training them. It's as if a previous career at Cinnabon might be all that's required to staff the floor. "Can you point to where things are without licking your fingers? Okay, we'll put you in the sheetrock section." Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking HD. This is as good as it gets for what it is. You can't have 5 star box store service. That's like asking for fresh sushi out of an airport concession machine ... or freedom to exit a Costco with your $500 worth of snacks and armageddon sized pickle jars without first being frisked by the NSA-like ticket checker. HD, like all other giant warehouse stores offer bulk, bleak, basics. Don't expect anything more and you'll see that 2 stars is just about right. read more

Home Depot in the small town of Sequim is not a place a contractor or a homeowner should go to to get advice on different products and services. I go there with my knowledge of what I want andd need. This is the worst experience with purchase of special order doors from Clopay doors. 2+ months and counting.

I'm going to start off by saying we normally have good experiences at this Home Depot. My husband and I are remodeling a home and have spent about $20k there in the last two months, and had planned to spend more. However, after this incident, we may be taking our business elsewhere. We ordered a shower/tub combo a few weeks ago and were notified when it was ready for pickup. After picking it up, I quickly realized it was only the shower wall kit, and the tub was missing. I pulled up my Home Depot app and found that the item had been shipped in two different packages. One of these packages was not delivered to the store yet; however, it said it was picked up. This was on June 4. I instantly called the store to explain, asking them to please notify me when the other part of our item was delivered. Tonight (June 9) my husband went in to Home Depot to pick up the tub. I was never notified, and my app and tracking number told me it was delivered June 5 and was at the store. Upon arrival, he had to explain to a customer service employee, Jenn, who accused him of already picking up the item, even after giving the order number and tracking number, and seeing a note on the order from another employee from June 4. After about 30 minutes of Jenn doing virtually nothing to try to find this tub, and after other Home Depot employees came around and were unwilling to help search for it in the store, my husband was told that they simply couldn't find it. This item was paid for weeks ago and is needed for our plumber in two days. The store was closing, and my husband was told that the night custodian would look for it, after the employees finally admitted it was their mistake. Our family has three business accounts with this Home Depot and we expect to be treated with urgency and respect. In addition, my husband spent an hour and a half traveling to pick up this tub, and now has to return another day to pick it up. A complete waste of time. Unless this situation gets remedied, we very well may be taking our business elsewhere. read more

On 11/7/17 I rec'd the best help I have ever experienced anywhere from Dan Sodas @ Sequim Home Depot. My husband of 43 years was in rehab facility with a broken hip. I am 75 and was desperate as had broken (frozen) waterline that I needed to repair in order to have water. Mr. Sodas was the essence of assistance & helped me determine what was needed and put together a "fix" for me making it possible for me to return home and fix the pipes. Don't go for flooring. We are doing our whole house. Had an estimate from a flooring Co and thought we'd try HD. We needed carpet, vinyl and plank. Had all the measurements for her. She kept getting interrupted every 5-10 min which was so frustrating . We had to do the math as she couldn't convert yds to sf. Never did get the right quote. You'd think at the tune of 10,000.00 you'd get some quality help. They didn't even have samples for us. Don't you think that if there's a sale that the head of that dept would have stocked up?. Sales ending, have 2 days to make a decision and no samples. At least they could have extended it for us. Don't go here. Go to a specialty store. Home Depot itself is fantastic - at this location, had a terrible encounter with one of the employees. I was visiting my mother for memorial day, as I don't often get to see her because I'm in the military and that keeps me quite busy. We had placed a couple things down inside the store so that we could walk outside to look at plants without setting off the alarms. When we returned inside, some employee most likely doing their job had picked them up and put them away. Hoping we could recover them we approached the garden center checker, who before we even said anything pushed past my mother. After waiting for a couple seconds to ensure a pause in whatever it was that she needed to attend to, she returned to her station and my mother began "excuse me, we just put some items down over there..." when she was cut off with "I wouldn't know anything about that!" I then interjected "we're just trying to ask a simple question" to which she responded "No it's not simple, goodbye". We then found another employee (Donna) who we asked the same question of, who was wonderful, but told her the previous women we talked to is the only one in that area, so she's the only one who would know. My mother then said "you know, we tried to ask her but she was so rude to us", at which point the previous employee again walked by and yelled "I wasn't being rude! I wasn't being rude! I wasn't being rude!" and summoned the employee who was helping us away from us. I then walked over and tried to get her name, but she covered it up with her hand several times, until I asked another employee. Her name is Karen, and she knew she was intentionally being rude about something that was so entirely unnecessary. A simple "I'm sorry, I didn't see it" would have sufficed as an answer. Working in the service industry, leave your personal problems at the door. She is a shame to Home Depot, who so highly values customer service. I have never had such a horrendous experience over something so small before, and I would advise anyone shopping there to avoid her if she is your cashier. read more

This review is NOT reflective of the Sequim Store BUT buyer BEWARE! Carpeting is completed by an outside vendor- of which you have no control- and their workmanship is very POOR! We have been struggling to get their mishaps corrected but so far, to no avail - in fact, it just gets worst with every visit and every excuse and NOW we can't even get corporate to respond to our frustrations!
