9:00 in the morning eight people standing in line and only one register open. I purchased two fence panels and three posts. It took every bit of 42 minutes from the time we left the register for their helpers to uncrate those two panels and load them on my trailer that was 5 ft away. We returned the following day to pickup another fence panel and I informed the outside guy that I need another panel he said ok and did nothing to uncrate the panel. I picked up a hammer and began the uncrating and he run over to stop me because I might get hurt. This place has really gone downhill.

My boss order that came in this morning was ripped out and the whole box was covered with taped. this is unacceptable and the guy just drop the box and ran off without signing the paper. poor customer service, poor management, poor service, this people need to educated more and learn how to do better.

I think it's great that Home Depot hires retirees to work part time, but it's important that they realize they are there to work. When our refrigerator died, I went to Home Depot on a Friday evening to order a new one. The two people working in Appliances knew nothing about appliances. They seemed to only want to chat with each other. After asking questions and getting "I don't know" responses, I decided NOT to buy a major appliance from this store and asked the two Chatty Kathies if they had dorm fridges, figuring I'd get one of those to use until a big fridge was delivered. Chatty Kathy #1 told me that she didn't know what a dorm fridge was. After telling her, she showed me a 10 cubic ft refrigerator, which was conveniently sitting next to boxes containing 1, 2, and 3 cubic ft. refrigerators conveniently labeled "Dorm Refrigerator." I went home in disgust. I ordered a new refrigerator online from Costco (delivery, installation, and hauling away the old one was included in the price!) I decided to get a dorm fridge after all from Home Depot, and ordered one online. Later that day, I went to the Sequim store to pick it up. Customer Service was busy so I waited. When one elderly clerk became free, he turned his back on me, pulled out his phone and started reading. I asked him if he could help me. He scowled, put his phone in his pocket and began logging into a register. Before he could log in, another customer service rep freed up so he turned to the other guy and said, "She wants to pick something up." That was it. No thank you for shopping here. Nothing. Just returned to his phone. The other guy turned out to be very helpful. He had the dorm fridge loaded into my car, and thanked me for shopping there. Finally, I got the dorm fridge home and unpacked, to find two dings on the side of the door. It works and returning it would be an ordeal so I'll keep it, but why am I paying full price for a damaged product? Do better Home Depot. Hire more people like the last guy. I get that being on your feet all day is hard. I get that not wanting to work after retirement is hard (I'm retired too). If you take a job though, do the job.

Super friendly and engaging customer support. The folks at work here really do seem to care. Another thing I love are the random cool things that you can purchase, like gift cards, and various trinkets. That they have those things has helped me grab some last-minute birthday and other holiday items for friends when I would have completely forgotten the special day. It is a nice neighborhood hardware store that serves its basic purpose and much more.

At the onset of the pandemic, Henery's took charge and implemented numerous measures and protocols to keep patrons and staff as safe as possible. As of this date, May 18, 2020, however, things have deteriorated greatly. 1 of 5 employees I encountered wore a mask. 1 of 5 wore gloves. 2 passed within six inches of me in order to stock shelves on the same aisle I was on, neither wearing masks. Following the example, 2 of ten customers wore masks and also made numerous attempts to get less than 6 feet from me. There are no requirements for employees nor customers to wear a simple mask. Here's the thing. The measures we've used state wide and been enormously successful in reducing the spread of Covid 19. So much so, my wife and I thought it relatively safe to continue to shop in places like Henery's. Fact is, we have a 19 year old quadriplegic at home with 23% lung capacity. If he gets this disease, he dies. Full stop. As a result, we rely on the mutual concern and professionalism of establishments like Henery's to help maintain that level of safety. Henery's isn't doing that anymore, despite the lack of a vaccine and dire warnings from the CDC and epidemiologists globally. We cannot take the risk of killing our kid. So it is that today was my last trip into your store. Life will run a bit slower for us, as we order everything online and have it delivered, but seeing our son reach the age of 20 will make that well worthwhile.

I have lived on the Peninsula since 1984 and aside from traveling the western states for a few years it's been my home. We love this store because those that work here have always been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Our children enjoy getting an Apple, Bananas or Carrot while we shop. The prices here have always been competitive with the "box stores". This is a great aspect when considering where to shop. To have fruit, produce and meats feom local farms at a reasonable price is one of many reasons we enjoy shopping here at the Co-Op and were quick to pay for the lifetime membership. Yesterday (19 Sept 2025) my wife and I went in for grocery shopping and everything seemed like a normal shopping experience we've come to expect. My wife has been enriched to finally have a service dog that goes with her medical conditions from her service in the Navy. She decided to stop having her service dog wear his vest and goggles (both were part of his suit as he was trained in both while he was a K9 for the police in Pocatello, ID). It was overwhelming for her to have people approach her and talk to her about her k9 (never seeing one so well trained, how cute he looks in his vest goggles, etc.). My wife was asked on 19 Sept if her k9 was a service dog by a lady who works at the Co-Op and she must have been a new hire as my wife and I haven't seen her working before yesterday. Most of the people who we interact with that work in the store all know my wife's service dog by sight and have the respect to not engage regarding our k9 in an invasive manner. The lady last night was not respectful, rather she treated my wife as if my wife was lying to her about our k9 being a service dog. Then after we got in line to checkout my wife realized she wanted an onion and a man stocking the produce stopped her and abrasively asked if the k9 was a service dog. My wife did not rest well and felt mentally off the rest of the evening. I realize it is important to keep pets outside of an establishment that offers fresh fruit, produce and other foods. It would also seem important with such a diverse array of people that frequent this store to have those working there know the importance of being professional, respectfu and tactful l when approaching anyone for any reason. Especially when it may be an interaction with someone who may have a service dog with them. Sadly people cannot teach someone how to use their intuition. I've seem many pet dogs, most of which are not trained well enough to be in any building. My wife's service dog is off/on leash trained, he's in tune with my wife's needs intuitively and never leaves her side even when we are home he next to her. It is a great comfort knowing that my wife has a k9 that can be there to protect her and keep her safe should any medical condition arise. My wife is now contemplating on whether she will be coming back inside the store as the stress created from the disrespectful manner has not allowed a restful night. I believe our new course is that she will no longer answer any questions from either staff or those who shop here. I will stand in for her so that she doesn't feel socially overwhelmed by those who choose to be disrespectful in their approach.

When we do come here we actually go for the toys. We love to shop local and they have a pretty decently sized toy selection and they sell really good brands like Hape, Tonka, Melissa and Doug, and Green Toys. I will say they are a bit over priced (this is the reason for 4 stars) and you could sometimes get a toy cheaper just buying directly from the manufacturers website. But as I said we love to support local businesses and they sell the toys we like to buy for our son. And like I mentioned the staff are really nice. This last trip we were going right before close and someone was vacuuming and my son is not a fan of loud vacuums. So the lady noticed that stopped the vacuum and then had a conversation with him about his new toy. It was a very good experience.

More Walmartish. There are exceptions of course, but by and large the customer service could be better. I've always asked for a military discount, since I qualify and the cashier always says, "yes". I've yet to receive one. At first I felt it was simply a training issue, I now suspect it's something else. Selection of items is ok. Overpriced for the most part. Sad to say, it's worth driving further to get better service, selection and value. I'm a local product; been in the area since 1973. Not a Californian.

I decided to walk over in order to just browse and waste time while my meds. were being filled. I spent about 15 minutes in the store looking at pellet guns as i was thinking about buying one in the near future. I then walked up near the front of the store, where i came across about 50 baby chics. in a large living enclosure. I watched them run around for about 3 minutes or so before heading back over to QFC. I was sitting outside the front of QFC for about 8-10 minutes before 2 employees from Coastal came walking up to me and asked me to empty my pockets. I asked them "Why?". They said that they had reasons to be "suspicious" of me, and asked me again if i would empty my pockets. I now regretably did, even though i knew that i'm not legally required to do so. Mind you, i was literally wearing a thin, plain white t-shirt and pajama pants, that were also thin and barely hold anything without slipping down. I pulled out my truck keys, chewing tobacco and my wallet. They were both apparently satisfied and walked back to Coastal. I don't have proof, but at that time (not anymore), i was dealing with an unkown medical issue for the last year and a half where my appetite was about 80% gone. As a result, i was 40lbs. under my normal, healthy weight. I believe that the reason they came over to me was because they automatically assumed i was a drug addict. I, again, have no idea what they thought i was apparently stealing since i had such thin clothing on. After picking my prescription up from the Pharmacy, i walked back over to Coastal and asked for a manager in order to (hopefully) get one of the employees' names for this review, as i knew which employee it was that found me "suspicious" since he was working in the section where the pellet guns were being sold. About 15 minutes later i was able to talk to one. I asked for the name of the employee that worked in the section i was browing. He told me his name was ALEX. I told the manager what went on and that i would be writing a review about my experience as soon as i got back home. I ended up letting this review slide. Well, my Mother just went into Coastal a couple days ago and bought me a $50.00 coat and a couple $20.00 shirts. I intentionally didn't let her know what had happened that day since she was on vacation at the time, and i didn't want to upset her. I asked her if she minded if i returned the items the next time i needed to go to town. She said "Ofcourse not, i don't mind at all". Yesterday was the day i went back to town, and to Coastal. My brother had removed the tags from the coat, as he had mistakenly thought our mom bought it for him instead of me. The employee told me (even though i had the reciept), that she would only be able to refund the 2 shirts since the jacket didn't have the tags on it. She still refused after i explained why the tags were missing and that it had never been worn. Not even 1 time. That was it for me. I then vowed to myself that i would be writing this review ASAP, and would never again be giving Coastal a single cent to them for as long as they remain in business. My mom shops there, and spends a lot of $ for our family during Christmas time (and in between), every year. She told me "Not anymore". Not after the way they treated me. We will now both be spreading the word to friends and family about what happened in hopes that they also no longer give a single cent to this business anymore
