Service was terrible. I went to buy a couple of bags of marble chips. I asked three employees for help and they all passed me off to someone or sent me to find someone in another area. For clarity there was no one in gardening at the time I went. A nice young gentleman finally agreed to help me load my wagon, push it to the register and even helped me load the truck. Got paint here a few times and it was nice! The paint department is staffed, which was surprising. Their staff isn't the friendliest, especially in customer service, but they get the job done. It's a bit more expensive than the Lowe's nearby. read more

I hear someone being and asshole I back of me so I turn around and the guy is bitching about me getting in line. I had NO clue they have an employee lining customers up to check out. Instead of telling me the employees and the guy stood there bitching. When they saw me looking I told them all they had to do was tell me and I have no problem moving and letting him go first. Stopped in the other day because I was in the area and had a to-do list. This Home Depot has the usual stuff that all the other's in the area do, but the Employees here could definitely use a Customer Service training program. One that actually teaches them how to effectively deal with Customers. One of My list items was to get some keys made so I headed to the key making counter where a line was already forming. I let one of the HD Associates know they should send someone over. He nodded and did nothing. I head to the Service Desk where She Pages for Customer Service to the key counter. 10 minutes and still no sign of an Employee. I head into the Department where I see a HD Associate and ask him can he make keys? "Nope, I'll get Someone though". 5 minutes go by and still nobody. I Returned to the Service Desk where She tells Me to use the key kiosk [which sucks btw, keys made here are non refundable and never work]. "No, I want the key person" I told her. "Get Me a Manager NOW!!" So 5 minutes later He stops by and says "Yeah our key guy is on his way." A total of 20 minutes later the key guy shows up. When It's My turn in line I ask him "are You the only person in this place who knows how to make keys?" He says "Yup, that's Me" My time is important to Me and so I won't need to return to this place. Two Stars for the merchandise. read more

Huge store with a great indoor plant selection (what i came for) - everyone working here was super friendly and kind! I've seen some great fiddle leaf figs, and some surprise huge monsteras at this location, so they definitely understand popular indoor plants and are doing their best to keep a good selection in stock. Just the other day, they had a team outside preparing the outdoor section for spring, and everyone seemed to be in great spirits and enjoying working together, which is always great to see employees interacting in a positive way. read more

This is your typical Home Depot. The workers have always been amazing to me in this store. I shop here frequently. The sales associates are very knowledgeable and know the products in their area. The store is well kept. There is ample parking. They have a rental center and even rent trucks. I have rented machines on several occasions. This place is pretty good and the people are pretty friendly. I've had them match paint for me, make keys and the people in the electrical department are pretty helpful. Sometimes when you do need help there seems to be no one around but usually if you look down the next isle you can find someone. For tools their selections is pretty good. They also have frequent sales on a variety of different things. I pick up a drill for over half off. Their tool rental area is pretty good too. Use you to be able to cheat the system by going in before they closed and doing a 4 hour rental and you'd just have to bring it in the next morning. Great if you don't mind working through the night. Although now I don't think they'll let you rent tools that late for 4 hours anymore read more

placed an order online about $600 worth of merchandise for instore pick up at Roxbury #0909, on 8/14/2022. I placed my order around 4:30pm, - got an email that my order was ready for pick up at 7:30pm. I got to the store, first off i was waiting for someone to help me at customer service desk for about 15min, even though there was nobody there. got my order and instead of 10 boxes of laminate there were only 9, i checked the boxes and they were trying to give me the wrong laminate. i told them it's wrong merchandise, someone went to look for the right laminate - 30 minutes passed and they tell me that they can't find the laminate even though there are 50 boxes at store according to website. needless to say i cancelled the order - totally disappointing and unprofessional! read more

Bought carpet for our condo. 2 rooms and a staircase. Waited 4 plus weeks for it. Understandably due to the supply chain breaking down. Scheduled a date for install. My wife and i moved furniture, took pictures down , stuffed things in other rooms, including the bathroom. Guys showed up with the carpet. The supplier cut the carpet wrong . Couldnt be laid the way it was supposed to be because its directional. They had to reorder it. We are 2 weeks into this , crap all over the place and it came in buuuuut, they cant get here for another week. Mind you, we have stuff all over the place. Nice going Home Depot. read more

Yay! I live within 10 miles of three different Home Depots and this particular location seems to be the best in terms of customer service, stock, and cleanliness. The employees here are really friendly and willing to help you and will ask me if I need assistance vs. other locations where I have to flag someone down. The store is really well kept and clean and the selection of stuff just seems to be broader than the other two locations that I frequent. The parking lot is also less hectic (especially compared to the East Hanover location which just gets bombarded). read more

This place is a nightmare. Do not use their pick up service. I waited 30 minutes for assistance with only one other car there. No one came to assist. I go inside and ask an associate who redirects me to go outside. Frustrated, I ask someone else who was chatting with coworkers. He told me that he's the correct person and that he'll get to me because there were at least four cars ahead of me. A blatant lie! I told him that was impossible since I'd been there now for quite some time. He direct me to customer service because "he's busy." I go to customer service to pick up the order myself. They finally retrieve the item but they don't give me proof of purchase. I'm stopped before I leave and am asked to wait so someone can come by and verify that these items were purchased. Today there were more employees in there than customers yet simply picking up an order took over an hour. Registers had no line. There was no wait outside. I was better off walking in, picking up the item, paying and walking out. Avoid this store. They're unnecessarily disorganized, lie and clearly don't care about their customers. read more

I bought a dishwasher at the Roxbury, NJ Home Depot. it was a disaster! I'm warning you -- DO NOT buy from Home Depot! First f all, they rip you off by charging you $245 for a plumber and then don't send one and instead they have the delivery guys install it. This is fraud. Secondly, they broke the hose that goes to the cold water, got water all over under the sink, and left it like that and then left & never told me. I then tried to wash my hands and discovered the faucet not working and looked under the sink and realized there was a lot of water under there and that the hose was broken. I then called a manager and they said they can't get somebody here for another 5 days -- It's 2 days before Christmas and they have left me with a complete mess and my faucet not working! This is absolutely inexcusable!! Moral of the story -- don't trust Home Depot. Find a local appliance store & shop there. I wish I had. read more

I needed an L14-30R plug but due to the recent storm was having trouble finding any. The Home Depot app was glitchy as per usual, spot wild t show what stores may have it. I was at the Dover store and decided to call ahead before going all the way there. I dialed the electrical department (x127) and asked if they had any L14 plugs. "Well what do you want, 30 amp, 40 amp?" He sounded irritated. I told him I need 30 amp. "Yeah I got them". I thanked him but didn't hear anything. He may have hung up. So I get there and sure enough they don't have any. And it's not like there is an empty box, the spot on the shelf is bare. It's obvious they don't have any. He didn't check, exemplified by his quick response to my question. He lied to me, couldn't be bothered to check. Call was made December 5 at 11:32am I'm case management cares to check and hold anyone accountable for their piss poor customer service. read more

Great customer service! I called the lighting department about a hard-to-find light fixture. A friendly man answered the phone (on his lunch break!) and said he'd check on it after lunch and call me back. He called back in 30 minutes, pulled the fixture off the shelf and it was waiting for me at the customer service desk an hour later. I couldn't have been happier! read more

Don't waste your time if you have any questions. Four people will tell you something different and none of them will give you anything close to the correct answer. Then when you go to check out and want to complain you will check out yourself as 3 employees stand and socialize at the self check out. I ordered some wood for my deck. It needed a little TLC. Because it was a lot of lumber, I had to have them deliver it. My first issue is being charged $70 for delivery 3 miles from the store after I spent almost $400 on lumber. My second issue was the delivery time. Between 6 am and 8 PM and someone had to be home. Mind you, the lumber is paid for. Why not just ask where the customer wants the lumber left? How can you expect someone to stand by for 14 hours to wait for a delivery? Now, to top off this lousy experience, they provide an order number in an email with a link to a tracking site. Using that, I checked on my order status and clicked on, "track the truck" to see where I was in their delivery run. The app said they would arrive at my location between 10 am and noon. Okay, I felt a little better. Until they didnt show. It's now 2 PM and the driver called to say he was an hour away. When I pointed out the app that showed they were supposed to be here by noon, he had no idea what I was talking about. I have spent thousands in this store over the years. In the last 5 years, the store has gone downhill and every service I've used, carpet installation, lumber delivery and special orders, has left me feeling like I wasn't a valued customer. I have always been a Home Depot guy, but maybe it's time to switch to Lowes. read more

We just bought a fridge since ours broke, we figured we would go through this store since we purchased our roof from here also. The fridge was to be delivered today, two men showed up and were here for maybe 5 or 10 min, instead if trying to problem solve they decided in a matter of seconds that they couldn't bring the fridge in, they never measured the garage door and didn't even try to see if they could use the back door since they just said they couldn't take the door out since it's an expensive door. I was able to just take the stopper out of the door which allowed it to open 2 inches bigger than the size of the fridge, also the garage door into the house is bigger so either way the fridge could be in my kitchen right now, instead the delivery guys left right away. We called the store and now they're saying they wont deliver until next Tuesday, even though this was all due to the incompetence of your delivery people. We were thinking of remodeling our kitchen and using this store but we won't be doing that now, and we will probably go to Lowe's to pick a new fridge now, as well as the washer and dryer we were thinking of getting for Christmas. We just purchased a home in the area & everytime we have been in this Home Depot, the staff is usually really helpful. There was one time where we got one person who kind of brushed us off, but for the most part, anyone in the store is willing to help. They are also usually pretty knowledgable. We went to the garden section and they were able to explain things about the plants, etc. We needed adhesive for the pavers on the patio & they showed us exactly what we needed. I really like this HD & will continue to go there in the future. read more

Customer service is good for the front store workers. But inside each department needs major improvement. As we walked the store in search for new items for our new home, none of the employees assisted us with any of the things we were looking for. Especially the kitchen appliance department, we were there the longest and the 2 employees were too busy chatting with each other as we were looking at refrigerators and stoves.
