Tried to return a snake after asking the EMPLOYEE if this can be returned if it doesn't work. He says "yes you have 90 days" well i guess thats a lie. We tried to return it today and a short older blonde lady had a very nasty attitude. Says they can not return something thats been used. So if i use a hammer and decided i no longer need this, I cant return this because its been used once or if I buy spray paint and it gunks up and i cant use it your telling me i cant return it if its been used.... When you think Home Depot, you think "home improvement", "lawn maintenance", tools, man stuff, etc. I was just finished my meat shopping from next door. Now, I'm on that hunt down for items for my crawfish trap project. So I walk in,, everything looks just like any other home depot. They have their seasonal stuff. Everything is in big giant shelves all organized to their specified sections. Which makes it pretty easy to find whatever you're looking for. I was looking for wire sheets, so I grabbed the nearest associate I can find. He told me that the items I'm looking for would more than likely be outside by the chicken wires and such. So he told me to go through the outside doors and turn right. Viola!! the stuff I was looking was right there. All different kinds for different uses. I bought 2, and made a crawfish trap with one. I'm trying to see if I can catch some with my first one, then I'll make another one with the other roll is I'm able to catch with the first. Thanks Home Depot. You guys are awesome! read more

I bought a pergola in person from sales person RSH1BB and requested to have it shipped. Then the went off and SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE!! Now the pergola is out of stock and back ordered for months!!! Ruins our summer. I get a call from Mico Sanchez the supervisor and I get an apology and an explanation how their system is screwed up! That's all I get... What kind of store allows a customer to buy a Product in store and turn around and sell it when there is obviously low inventory!! SUPER PISSED!! My 5 stars goes to Rick who spent way too much of his time today helping me figure out what kind of ceramic tile to purchase for my bathroom project. He figured out how much I'd need with a few of my bad measurements and an iPhone photo-- helped me get the grout, and all of the other stuff involved that we'd need as well. I know I came in with little understanding of what I was there to pick up, and Rick helped with all of it and not once made me feel like I was annoying him (even though I'm sure I was!) Probably the worst Home Depot I've ever shopped at. I work for a general contractor and have to order and pick up materials all the time. I've been forced to deal with their Pro Desk on numerous occasions and it's always painful. We have a proxy account. I give them the company name and number, they look up the account which im on and i sign and go. They dodge trying to avoid the paperwork which would take less time then they waste avoiding the work. The blond woman at the Pro Desk is so unpleasant and obviously doesn't like working with people that i find it hard to bellerive she still has a job. Today i went in looking for high visibility yellow paint and the girl working that area had no clue what i was taking about. I showed her the empty area the paint belongs in and she started to walk away. I asked her if she could check stock to see if they had it. She reluctantly did, notified me that they had 19 gallons and walked away. Needless to say i left the store and won't return The company i work for is on track to spend around a $125,000 at Home Depot this year and i will be speaking with purchasing to find alternate sources for our materials read more

We placed an order of 20+ heavy cabinets (one being 9+ feet tall) and were told a forklift driver would help us load. Needless to say, nobody came. We asked multiple times and kept being told someone would help, and no one did. Every worker up front just watched us, nobody offered to help or see the forklift status. The loading guys watched us and didn't do anything. My boyfriend (with a dislocated finger) and uncle proceeded to load the entire order by themselves after waiting 20ish minutes, which took roughly an hour. Once again, every worker just watched. When they finished, he asked to see a manager if she could comp the labor in any way, and she told us we shouldn't have done the whole thing and shoulda "made some noise" cause she could have "gotten somebody over." So she refused to do anything because her staff took too long and we did it ourselves rather than wasting more of our time. HORRIBLE SERVICE. What's the point of having workers if they don't do their jobs? Ridiculous. read more

I will absolutely never ever be coming back to this store and Home Depot should be ashamed. I don't ever complain and usually just take a loss dealing with terrible customer service but can't swallow this pill. I bought a "new" Milwaukee hammer drill+ cordless saw for 300 dollars. When someone helped me get the box out of the locked shelf they carried it up to the self checkout and I didn't get to look it over before purchasing: when I got it home I noticed it looked like it had been opened and when I pulled the bag out I was shocked. I found someone's old used nasty work gloves in the bottom of the box with a pen, completely wrong drill (cheapest drill they make) that was heavily used and beat up and covered in old paint, the saw was used, it was missing one of the two batteries and the batteries were someone's old beat up batteries.... My pregnant gf had to return it for me while I was at work and they were extremely rude and unwilling to take out their AirPods to deal with a customer and would not do anything for us besides put the money back on the card. We asked for just the same set but new and didn't have one in stock so not we have probably spent at least 20 dollars gas going back and forth all because they're extremely negligent with their returns and did not at all even open the box before they just stuck it with the new stock to ruin my week. 2 days later and I still don't have my tool and am expected to take third trip out to another Home Depot... this is my first time leaving a Karen review but they ABSOLUTELY deserve it. read more

The gentleman who did the measurements was efficient at his job but lacked personality. The installers that came out were Great and very professional! The two men asked about preferences about different ways to install on the stairs and explained the two styles. read more

Horrible! I had a price drop on my item and they refused to give it to me at the Taylor Home Depot. I explained I talked to customer service and they specifically said I just need the receipt, the credit card and my ID. The manager came over and I asked her politely if she could call customer service and she said it's against policy to give a price drop with online orders and she refused to call. The manager attitude was worse than the cashier. What a great way to set an example. What a joke. Thankfully my item wasn't delivered so I canceled my delivery and was able to reorder at the lower price. It's so sad that there is no accountability anymore, the managers set such poor examples. read more

I received excellent service today from this Home Depot. Customer service truly went above and beyond! I had recently placed an online order to have 4 items shipped to me. Due to being immunosuppressed, I have been staying out of stores and limiting myself to curbside pickups. One of the 4 items, the only one I really needed quickly, was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Then I got to notice that it was delayed and would be delivered today, but now the day is almost over and it's still sitting in its original location, it appears to not even have left its origin yet...so obviously it's not going to arrive today either. Since I need this item more urgently, I called this Home Depot location to see what I could do about this situation. I talked to customer service and found out the only thing I could do is purchase the item or similar item in the store, and then when the shipment arrives, Home Depot is currently allowing up to 180 days for returns due to covid...so I can return that item when things are safer. So I decided to do this, but when I went online to try to add the only similar item available in stores to my cart for curbside pickup, it wouldn't let me do so for some reason. So I called the store again and talked to Sherry at customer service, who truly went above and beyond in doing anything she could possibly do to make this work for me. Sherry went online and tried to add the item to a cart and it would not let her do so either. I told her about my situation and that I was trying to avoid going into stores, and asked if she had any other ideas. She came up with a great idea of basically treating it like a curbside pickup but processing the transaction when I pulled my car up to the door. She briefly checked with a manager to get this approved, then took care of the whole thing. She was even scheduled to be off work shortly after, but even though I arrived about 5 minutes after that time, she was still there and took care of the entire transaction for me to make sure that I was taken care of. To be perfectly honest, if Sherry had told me there wasn't anything else they could do in this situation, I would have understood, but I was very grateful that she found a way to make it work for me without me having to go outside of my current comfort zone. Sherry it's clearly the kind of employee that every company needs at their customer service desk, with that "It's not the customer's fault, so let's find a way to make it work for them." kind of attitude. read more

If you have ever had a bad experience at home depot I want to hear about it. I had a big one and am going to post it online because it cost me big time because of one of their paint employees not sealing my color matched paint can all the way. When I got it home it tipped over and the lid popped open and spilled latex paint all over my carpet. Their insurance company did not cover the cost to replace the carpet!! Buyers check your paint can lids before leaving the store!!!!!!!!!! I am selling my house and this happens. It took the ASM 3 days to file the "Insurance Claim" then it took a week and half for the Insurance company to contact me. Then the Insurance person took a week off for vacation. When he returned he called me and said he is not going to hold Home Depot Responsible for the carpet!!!! Home Depot will never get my business ever! ever! again. I have always purchased my home project supplies from them and NEVER had a problem until now!!. This is obserd and very unprofessional!! Now they can do what they want and get away with it because the insurance company says so!! My $2000.00 carpet gets ruined because their paint isle is caged off and you cannot get in there to pick the paint you want and they pick it for you. Granted I should have told them what brand I wanted but the point still remains when you mix paint the lid should be tight!! This has been a painful experience for me and it has been the only bad experience for me at Home Depot. But the way it was handled is the most disappointing is the reason I will not do business with them again. It may not sound fair and some may agree or disagree but lets agree to disagree. Customer Service is the key and the length of time the latex paint stain was drying on my carpet that I had to clean up and no Carpet cleaning company would touch!! This is the problem. We rented an edger from Home Depot on Telegraph in Taylor Mi. The cashier said my card did not go threw even though it said approved. He says run your card again and assured me I would ONLY be charged once. Well I look at my online bank statement and I was charged twice. I only transferred enough money for one transaction NOT two. So the bank loaned me the extra $100 my account was overdrawn for along with an over draft fee that I have to pay for a loan I did not want or need! I went in to talk to manager Maria she says I have to give her my banks fax number so she can send paperwork. I tell her I don't have the internet on my phone can you look up the number she rudely tells me "no go home and get it then come back". Why she can't even look up a fax number to correct her employees err is beyond me. When I called to talk to original cashier who double charged me he starts cursing (very unprofessional) and puts me on hold. Not sure why I am stuck paying an overdraft fee to my bank for your incompetent employee. I realize mistakes happen however being completely unwilling to correct the issue and leave me stuck with over drafts fees that their employee caused is COMPLETELY unacceptable. read more

I like home depot in general but I warn anyone buying an appliance. Do not buy the extended warranty. They are serviced by an outside company and we are 5 weeks into a faulty dryer. They send an incompetent tech out with no parts on hand. You have to wait for him to order parts and then schedule a return appearance. Never arriving in scheduled window. Then he has told them it was unrepairable twice and they order more parts to try... Never again read more

We were going to buy screen doors we were quoted between $450.00 and $500.00 for 2 storm doors including installation. for a mobile home, We've been getting estimates for this, and this was a good deal since they were heavy duty doors, The Salesman Tom said we'll need to come out and measure, because Mobile homes have different sizes sometimes, and he wanted to make sure my measurements were correct, the cost was $30.00 but we'd get that back when we ordered the doors, The man came out and measured and said everything looked good, he'd give them the measurements and have home depot call us with final pricing, (Since we found out the Man who came out Measured them wrong). The next day a women called us and said you'll need to come in and finalize everything, we asked her for the price and she claimed she didn't work in that department and asked us to come in, when we got there Our salesman Tom was there, He said I have bad news for you, Since you live in a mobile home the price is higher, We said wait we told you we lived in a Mobile home, and he said I must not heard you? I said you wrote it on the estimate? anyways Now the Total for the 2 doors plus installation will be over $1090.00, I said are you Nuts? That's more than double the estimate you gave us!!!! DON'T be a sucker and buy their installation, ALSO Get your estimates in writing so they don't try and screw you! needless to say we didn't have home depot do the work, we are looking for someone to do the work still. He also added the $30.00 was non refundable! I do have to say they are friendlier at this store than the Woodhaven store, where they are very very rude, and walk right past you if you need help. read more

Approx. a month ago I ordered carpeting for 2 rooms,stairs, and stairwell. as well as a cooktop stove. On 3/21 I was informed (2nd time) that the carpet was on back-order. and it was not known when or if it was going to become available. After numerous calls and physical presence to no avail I cancelled the $1448.00 order at this point it was over a month! In approx. the same time frame, I ordered a replacement Cooktop Stove at about $450.00(mine had cracked) When I finally received it. It was not the right sized cut-out so i intended to return it for a refund. because they don't carry this item in stock I purchased it as well as the carpeting sight-unseen. They wanted to charge me for 'Restocking Fee'. In my opinion penalize me for them selling me the wrong item. after many encounters with sales and management personnel I got satisfaction.
