I shop at Home Depot when I'm working on my house. Which is a rare occasion. BUT I LOVE THE FACT THEY SUPPORT MILITARY. So I go to Home Depot. Well today this female with large lips and bushy eyebrows, I didn't care about her name, told me the only way I can use a military discount is to download the app which will only take two minutes. It would take her two seconds to check my ID and scan a barcode. I'm already doing a self check out so god forbid this lady actually does her job. I normally go to a different Home Depot and they have never told me they would honor my military discount because I didn't care to get the app. So the older veterans that don't have smartphones. Purchased a garbage disposal at home depot (Moen 3/4hp). Home depot tells me memorial day special for installation $100. I say good deal, I'll take it. They refer me over to Parker & Sons. Parker and sons does install first then says $170 for install. Um...what? I bought the garbage disposal so why? Because I needed it and my current one was broken so you try to rip me off? Parker and sons demands to see paperwork from home depot (don't see why they need it, Parker and sons got my info from home depot and they called me to set appointment) to see what the home depot guy says. So on lunch I have to rush to home depot ask the guy who referred me at home depot what the special was, who reiterates it's still a $100 to install. Parker and sons finally honors this mysterious price and did the work for $100. So 2 questions: how does home depot not offer a flat installation on garbage disposals and 2) how did the home depot guy come up with a promotion and an exact figure? read more

Man does this place suck... We use this place all the time for work and the last two times we've gone here the customer service is a joke. I went here yesterday to get some bin storage and there was not a single employee around. I had to walk to the customer service desk and asked the nice lady if I could get someone to help me in the tool department. She looked at me funny and said she'll send someone right over... well my boss and I stood around for 15 minuets. I then went up the the self check out guy and asked him if I could get some help in the tool department. he told me he would send some one over.. after another ten minutes still know one. I finally saw an employee and asked if he could get down some boxes for me. He told me to hold on he'll be right there. We finally got our boxes and left.. Went in today thinking yesterday was just a busy day.. boy was I wrong. Friendly employees poor customer service poor and now checkout POOR... the self check out lady was so bad I was dumbfounded. We scanned our item but happen to scan it twice. So we looked up and make eye contact with the girl that was running the customer service desk to tell her we made a mistake. But she wasn't having it because she was to busy talking to her co worker. So we then pressed the call for attended and it took her awhile to notice us. And she took right at us and said "What's up" Really Home Depot this is how you guys train your employees... unbelievably. If you want to waste your time come here.. So went and tried the Home Depot store agin.. I will never shop here again going to Lowe's... Me and a coworker who served went into home depot today and got 48 bottles of WD 40 and some Milwaukee gloves. Came out to a little over $220. So my coworker went up to pay and he showed the lady his military id and she said. That he couldn't use it because it was for business not personal. Does it really matter what he uses it for. The sales person that helped me purchase my dishwasher was AMAZING!!!!! Their delivery company Barlows IS THE WORST!!!! They slotted my delivery between 2 and 6 on a Saturday afternoon, the guys that came to the house lied about trying to call me, you could tell they wanted to be off, came up with every excuse not to install my dishwasher and made me call Home Depot to get my installation fee back. This should have been automatic!!! Next time I will go some where else and if they use this delivery company I will not buy from them. read more

If I could do a review without leaving a star I would. The customer service at this location has always really sucked and today was no different. I have them call three times to have somebody come down and cut some wood for me and after 30 minutes I finally left. Every time I asked somebody for help they acted like I was asking him to do something outside of their job. And every time you pass a worker they make every effort to not make eye contact with you just in case you ask for something. I will not be returning to this location again ever. read more

Came in to find some screws needed for a TV stand. I had received some help to find the right screw (in metric measurements) from another hardware store but was unsuccessful. My experience here was very friendly and helpful! After asking for help from an employee on where to find the right item, another employee that had overheard my question came to the aisle and asked if I needed additional assistance. In one of the packs of 3 screws, one must have been stolen as there was only 2 in the bag. The employee took the 2 screws out of the bag and handed them to me for free saying they'd have to re-price the bag anyway. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

I bought a 3 piece appliance bundle not realizing that my home's electric panel would not support the newer appliances. I was told by an electrician that if I replaced the electric stove for a gas stove, that he could make everything work. WELL, HOME DEPOT will not accept returns after 48 hrs. So, I am stuck with a brand new stove that I cannot use unless I pay the $6,000 to increase the amperage to my electric box. I WILL NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT AGAIN. I was told by the TEMPE "acting store manager" (he didn't give me his name) that if they were to accept the return of my stove they would have to mark it down when they put it back out on the floor...SO YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE A HUNDRED DOLLARS ON AN APPLIANCE THAT THEY BOUGHT AT COST AND .... Awful service. Waited by the blinds department for 45 minutes to get help with finding and cutting blinds (something we aren't allowed to do on our own). We talked to 4 different people who all said they were going to call and get us help yet nobody came. Finally had to go speak to the 'manager' Dave who barely offered help but we were too frustrated and frankly just didn't have any more time to waste. We will NOT be giving this location our business anymore and will probably switch to Lowe's altogether. read more

I came looking for wood and nails it was a great experience so far I could have given it 3 stars or 4 but when checking out my items I had an above an beyond employee named Linda, she was just everything I looked for in customer service, when i come to a store I would love to have another employee exactly like Linda she was very helpful and wasn't boring she really knew how to start a conversation and did seem interested to talk to me she seemed like she really want to be there and loved her job most other employees don't smile but she couldn't keep one off her face, this employee deserves a raise I've always seen her work hard on making customers feel welcome, I do hope to see her again and have her check me out. First of all, it's obvious that there aren't any changes to improve since there are such poor reviews. Be sure to complete the survey at the bottom of the receipt. Maybe that would get someone's attention. To say I am disappointed is a huge understatement. I needed a product pulled down since they don't restock items apparently. Searched for someone... no one could be found. Went to the nearest register and the associate was too busy talking to help me. I then called the store and no one answered the phone. Called again and selected a department. Again the phone rang several times before someone answered. Once she did answer, I asked for help on the aisle and she said okay. No one came. Waited another 5 minutes before I was able to run someone down. I'm shocked that this location has such bad reviews and yet the manager nor corporate have taken steps to correct the issues. read more

So I am helping my boyfriend repaint his whole house. We go to this Home Depot and buy tons on paint, brushes and rollers - we spend like 45 minutes wondering around and when it comes time to check out there is no one around to check us out. There is a huge line of 10-15 people waiting to use the self checkout terminals with "please wait for assistance" being repeated at each one at least once. There is only one guy working the booth and he is dealing with a purchase. The frustrating part is while we were wondering around the store earlier I saw about 4 or 5 employees just kicking it in the light department just talking it up; and even waiting in line there were about 2 or 3 employees just standing around watching the line. The least management could have done was open a register and speed up the check out line, even if they did it for just a few minutes it would have been a huge help! The reason why this isn't getting the lowest rating is because the guy at the paint counter (the only guy at the paint counter) was very nice. read more

I have 1500 sq feet of tile to remove... Knowing how to do it myself, I ran down to Home Depot and picked up an electric chisel to remove the tile. It was all fun and games until I got home. Had to find the one magic plug that worked (new electrical so it wasn't on my end) and then after 15 minutes it stopped working. The tool rental folks returned all of my money, so mad props to them. If they had charged me to rent their busted equipment I would have given them less stars. Save some time, Go to A-Z and get your job done right. read more

Came to this Home Depot to look at two things: succulents for my yard and interior paint. Both departments were less than impressive. Garden Center: -very busy, lots of customers in this area -well staffed -reasonable prices -large succulents (which I had wanted to buy) had disease spots on every plant Paint Center: -difficult to locate (in the middle of the store), usually they're towards the ends? -staff were not very helpful, many of my questions were met with blank stares. I'm not sure if he thought I was an idiot or if he had some kind of behavioral problem. -no wait for paint mixing I spent about $75 at Home Depot, all on paint and painting supplies, a little more than I anticipated on spending for a gallon of paint, 3 sample cans, a roller brush, 2 stir sticks, 2 paint trays and a paintbrush. Oh and that blue tape. Love the Depot! But this one needs to check its plants for disease. And give the guy in the Paint Center a personality test. read more

The people I have spoken to at this Home Depot have been very nice. However, they are not given the power to fix the situation. We purchased a Maytag washer on Nov 12th. It worked for a week, then died. Much runaround since then, between Maytag and Home Depot. The part may or may not be in tomorrow, but to find this out I had to spend another 40 minutes on the line with Maytag. Home Depot takes no responsibility. I think they should have replaced the washer immediately. If I wanted this much run around, I would have fixed my old washer. I will not be buying any more appliances from Home Depot. Three weeks or more to fix a brand new washer is ridiculous. read more

Customer service was a bit lacking there tonight. I asked a lady in the front where I could go to get a key copied and her response made me feel like I was truly bothering her. Once I finally found the key copying area I stood there for about 15 minutes before I was able to spot a worker a couple of aisles down. I kindly asked if he could help me if he had a moment and he said he would be right there. Another 10 minutes later I found another employee and asked if he was able to help me. Don't go there. All the employees don't know what's going on. Order some appliances at the store two weeks ago, called about 20 times to try to arrange delivery time then told they placed order in the wrong system so we won't get delivery at all as the order was cancelled by Home Depot. A week later still no refund because their wrong system can charge people for orders never gonna get delivered but can't issue refund. All managers and customer service are useless. Stay away if you can. I wasted so much time with those idiots. read more

I was at this Home Depot today during lunch. Someone hit my car while I was inside. Of course they left without leaving info. Probably a red truck with left front damage. So I go into customer service to see if they will look at video to see if they captured the SOB. They say no but I asked for a manager. Kept saying on their way but never showed. I tell the clerk a guy in the parking lot said it happened to his wife at a Lowe's and they helped with info and caught the guy. I tell her if HD doesn't care then I'll shop at Lowe's from now on. Do not make online orders if there is even the slight chance it could be damaged. It saves zero time. They do not inspect prior to picking. I ordered a door and they didn't even check to see if there was damage on it. The purpose is supposed to be to save time so you can order it online. But you wait for ever in the customer service line where there is only one or 2 ppl working. I went back to the department in the back to exchange the door. The only one was on the second level. There were 2 men back there, one on the phone, and then one who tried to say the other one was the "door guy". Then the gentlemen on the phone asked him if he could help me. He said he was busy and said someone else could help. Instead of going to get the other gentlemen who I had to go find myself, he just went back to his computer trying to look busy. I came in a couple of days ago and found out that within an hour of closing they have no employees on duty who can answer a question regarding electrical. As a result, I bought the wrong part so I'm back today to do a return. Hopefully I have the right part this time but now I learned that this Home Depot has not entered the 21st-century and do not know what Apple Pay is so it once again ruined the convenience of my trip.
