[Quote and scheduling]: Assembly Masters do not list pricing information on their website. Customers must request a quote via the "GET A FREE QUOTE HERE" button on the website or by calling their contact number. I submitted my request online and received an initial quote of $119.00 (flat rate with no tax) for one cabinet. However, I clarified that my initial job request was assembling two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets and the representative apologized for the typo. Unlike few other assembly companies, Assembly Masters require (1) customers to provide their full address and phone number for order confirmation and (2) provide credit card information to secure the appointment. I later called their number where I spoke with Todd who was very friendly. He finalized my appointment and processed my credit payment payment over the phone. [Service terms and conditions]: Here are some key service terms and conditions to be aware of - * FREE street / validated or paid parking by customer; parking to be provided for Assembler * All boxes to be located in the desired area for assembly prior to arrival * Attaching Items to the wall is an optional service - added charge may apply * Moving items to another room after Assembly is not included * Empty boxes and debris are stacked neatly for disposal by customer * Assemblers do not haul trash/ boxes away after service is complete * Assemblers are NOT required to move existing furniture/ Items * Pictures/ Video of assembly are taken by Assembler for verification [Process]: The technician Alvaro arrived within 24 hours of my booking and within the 3-hour scheduled time window. He was friendly and well-prepared with his tools. Alvaro was able to complete the assembly of both IKEA BRIMNES cabinets in just over an hour. [Conclusion]: Assembly Masters provided a reasonable quote and completed the job efficiently. However, few areas could use improvement including (1) allowing customers to pay in cash or by credit card in person before the job begins rather than requiring payment over the phone, (2) listing clear service prices (or price range) on the website instead of requiring customers to request a quote, and (3) offering to haul away empty boxes instead of leaving them to the customer. Personally these are relatively minor issues, but another furniture assembly company I recently worked with managed to accomplish all three of these areas in addition to completing the assembly job. If these points are not dealbreakers, Assembly Masters is still a solid choice for anyone looking to save time assembling IKEA furniture.

Denis came out, walked through everything I needed done, and gave me a clear quote. I could buy the materials myself or have them send Amazon and Home Depot links -- no markup on materials, which I really appreciated. Scheduling was easy, and Denis kept me updated about arrival. Once he was here, he worked through the list item by item. His work ethic stood out. Prices were extremely reasonable. We highly recommend Pro Handyman Service!…read more I wanted to write this review because we had a request that, while not unique, wasn't that easily categorized under a common household repair category, so we decided we would look for a general handyman that would be able to do it all. We have a sliding barn door for a guest bathroom, and because there was a bit of a gap from the wall to the door, it wasn't very private for our guests, and there was also no latch on the barn door. It's a strange choice for a bathroom, but we also didn't have the budget to change the entire door. I reached out to a few pros to get their assessments, and Pro Handyman Service was not the cheapest option for this job, but they had great reviews and I appreciated that they gave me an upfront quote. The quote actually helped me to budget accordingly, and I didn't feel like there were going to be a bunch of hidden charges that I wouldn't be able to plan for. I also felt that Pro Handyman Service was easy to communicate with and they responded to my questions very quickly over Yelp messages. They are busy, by the way, so try to schedule early so you can get a time slot. Denis arrived at our home promptly and on time, and was very careful to keep the home clean by wearing booties to cover his shoes. He listened and reviewed the situation, then gave us several options based on his opinions and experience. For example, he said he could use either wood or plastic paneling to add a "privacy edge" to the sliding door, and we ultimately settled on wood for the sides and plastic for the top of the door. He had everything needed for the job and just needed to leave to purchase the wood paneling and returned promptly to do the install. He also painted and caulked the new wooden privacy edge on each side of the door. We had already purchased a latch, which he also installed while accommodating the added privacy edge to the door. Denis worked very quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess behind. As you can see from the photos, the installation looks quite neat and clean, and almost looks as if the door came that way. It was nice that he was able to cut the privacy edge to accommodate the baseboard, too. Overall, this was a very positive experience with Pro Handyman Service and we think you'll be pleased with them as well! Hopefully this review will be helpful to anyone else who is looking for someone who needs a handyman (and especially if they have a specific request that might be similar to ours)!
