The issue was my Cox remote suddenly stopped controlling my Pioneer AVR. I had 3 Cox technicians out and spoke on the phone with Pioneer twice, but no one could solve the problem. Of course, Pioneer blamed Cox and vice versa. I gave up and bought a new $400 AVR and called The Home Theater Doctor to explain the problem as well as how I wanted him to replace the AVR and re-wire and re-program. When Roger arrived, I could tell straight away that he was skeptical of my assessment of the problem and clearly wanted to make his own assessment. At first, I was going to sop him and tell him he was spinning his wheels but thought no, he has to come to his own conclusion so I just let him repeat all of the steps that had failed before. Then all of a sudden about 15-20 minutes in to it he exclaimed "I've fixed it" I was absolutely blown away he had restored the controls to exactly how they had been and how we wanted theme to be. I had Roger come out to investigate our surround sound. We have been having a hard time understanding dialogue. Roger set up our Yamaha receiver to work correctly making adjustments on the speakers.
