I am pleasantly surprised with this "newer" restaurant -- inside of a hotel, this restaurant replaced an older one that wasn't my favorite. There are plenty of TVs for game watching and a well stocked bar. The cheeseburger is delicious, and all of our food came out exactly how we ordered it. This is a review about take out, might be a little better sitting in. I am unsure if they were short handed, the woman seemed to be doing all the jobs- bartending, cooking and waitressing. There weren't many people there, although it WAS a Monday night. The food took longer than expected, not so much a big deal. I did enjoy that they used metal containers rather than styrofoam. I wanted the portobello mushroom burger but they were out if portobello mushrooms and the veggie burgers, so I got the chicken avocado, my friend got the Reuben. The chicken was small although seasoned well, it didn't fit the bun. My friend said the Reuben only had one piece of corned beef on it. Fries were soggy, but we did wait 10 min or so to eat it, so expected of take out fries. Overall, we were fairly underwhelmed. read more

Came here for a fundraiser. Just hot and cold appetizers and cash bar. Chicken wings with blue cheese were a little hot but delicious. The Fried calamari was tasty and did not need any cocktail sauce. Vegetable quesadilla, was also very good along with the cheese and cracker tray. Service was very good. This was my first time at this restaurant. I found the menu to be limited. The only item that interested me was what I ordered, the blackened chicken quesadilla which was really good (3 of us ordered that) I unfortunately forgot to snag a picture . Other people with me ordered the portobello mushroom burger and the Stuffed Porte Bello Mushroom appetizer. They were all happy with their choices. Sometimes Uber Eats has these deals, you say why not, but this time it was just okay. I enjoy real Italian food. Chicken Parmigiano was buy one get one free. It wasn't quite the bargain I had hoped for. The chicken was well done, very dark under the sauce. The sauce was spicy. Spicy Italian sauce? I was confused. The pasta was cooked well. The meal did not come with bread or salad. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and the customer service was good which is why I gave 3 stars. read more

I enjoyed eating lunch here. Drove by it the first time because the sign is hidden behind Best Western. I had the avocado, chicken, & bacon sandwich and it was fantastic. There was only a handful of other people in the place for some reason. I think perhaps it's a newer place? They'll need to get that sign situation fixed ASAP! Aside from the food being good, they had a good sound system as well with TouchTunes in the bar area. Being a musician, I really enjoyed that experience. Walking in, the floor was super sticky like a dive bar (not one though). A friend and I decided to try The Hook and Ladder for take-out. It's always exciting to try new places and after exploring the menu was looking forward to trying it out. The menu was fairly small but had a good variety of options. I decided on the Rueben (the Siracha spiked 1000 island sold it for me!) which was served with fries. The food came in metal take out containers with a fair number of napkins, cutlery, and ketchup. The fries were no longer crispy; however, that has been a typical experience of mine when it comes to take out. The Rueben was served between two slices of nicely grilled buttery rye bread with a generous portion of flavorful caramelized onion sauerkraut. My two issues with this sandwich were the meat and dressing. Despite the heaping portion of onions, it was served with only one slice of corned beef, and the Siracha spiked 1000 island was mild and nearly undetectable. My experience with The Hook and Ladder left me feeling disappointed and underwhelmed. read more

I took a six week class that was hosted at the Best Western Plus, so naturally The Hook and Ladder become my go-to lunch place during the class. Their menu is standard American and is overall decent. My usual order became their chicken quesadilla, which is one of the hardier quesadillas I've ever had. Their wait staff are very nice and stay calm and patient when met with a big influx of customers. My biggest complaint is that their kitchen pushes out meals at a painfully slow rate. So it's not the best place to go when you have limited time. read more

I wouldn't say that The Hook and Ladder is a bad place to eat. I also wouldn't say it's a good place to eat. I would say it's...fine. Our burgers were pretty good, not the best, but good. My burger was overcooked. My wife and daughter seemed to enjoy their burgers. Our fries were mostly good, except my wife had a few that were actually raw in the middle. The wings were......fine I suppose. The BBQ tasted like cheap store bought BBQ Sauce. You couldn't tell the buffalo was buffalo it didn't have any sauce whatsoever, therefore no spice. I don't even know what was going on with the Honey Chipotle because I neither tasted honey nor Chipotle (although there was a little kick to them which is nice). With all that being said, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were not to bad. Visiting family in the area to cellibrate Christmas.My wife and I spent Christmas eve at the Best Western hotel next door.We were very pleased with our stay there.We got up with the birds Christmas morning and witnessed a glorious sunrise out the front door,it just kept getting better!Time for breakfast,We were expecting the usual modest low budget fair.We walked into the Hook and Ladder and were immediately greated by the gracious host Michael.Scrabbled eggs cooked to perfection,sausage,roasted potatoes,fresh waffles,fine coffee and more than I had room for.This was the icing on the cake for a very satisfying stay.Cant wait to return here to experience the fine dinner cuisine Im sure I`ll experience at the Hook and Ladder Restaurant,and I hope My new found friend Michael will be there too! read more

Hidden gem! Expectations weren't high as it's a restaurant in a hotel and was pretty empty, but we grabbed some food and drinks and were not disappointed!
