Went for happy hour for the first time to 619 supper club. When I walked in , I was greeted with two very happy bartenders , and they explained the social our menu to me. Everything was very good.I love the ambiance there. The only reason it was not a 5 star.Review is my fish tacos fell apart when I picked them up. When I told the raches , she brought me out some additional tortilla. Other than that everything was very good.
I've never dined in Wallingford before (for obvious reasons), so trying out Six One Nine Supper Club was a first for me. The spot is relatively new, located in a strip plaza with limited parking, but I met two friends for Sunday brunch around 1pm and decided to give it a shot because the menu looked good. The inside is cozy but still had a full bar for patrons. It was very cold in there so that was noticeable. The brunch menu is limited, but the options they do have are solid. For our starter, we originally wanted the shrimp baos but they were out, so we went with the bread basket. For my meal, I ordered the croissant sandwich (no bacon), which came with home fries, and a green tea. The food was really good and tasted very fresh. The bread basket, which was plated on a cutting board was also delicious. Service, however, was subpar. Our waitress was clearly busy and tried her best to keep up, but she made a comment to my friend that felt a bit off-putting. It didn't ruin the meal, but it definitely took away from the experience a bit. Overall, it's a decent brunch spot with great food, but the service could use some polishing. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon, but it's worth checking out.
The food was amazing, definitely a little too expensive for my budget though. We went here for a friend's birthday after we couldn't get into another place and boy did we have a blast. We had an issue with seating but were eventually accommodated, which we were very grateful for. The staff were great and the place was radiating with joy. The place was squeaky clean, but definitely a little tight for a large party.
I have been here a few times. The menu is filled with unique flavors and twists on familiar items. Pictured in the arancini, which has a spicy kock to it. I also got the supper club cookie. When it came out, two different people saw it and ordered it as well. Service is great! I sat at the bar and the server was very attentive. The space is trendy and intimate. Tables, high tops and a decent size bar. Definitely recommend if you're im the area!
"Yes Yes Yes! A million times yes!" This place is fantastic!! The service is friendly and attentive. We had cocktails to start, with complimentary housemade bbq chips followed by two unbelievable appetizers. The roasted brussels were to die for- the flavor was truly out of this world! The flatbread was delicious as well, topped high with fresh ingredients. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! Only recommend is to consider making a reservation because this place is always busy (no surprise considering how great this place is)
There was wonderful service and music here. The poke bowl and the scallops meals were tremendously enjoyed. The butter cake and the pistachio cheesecake were delicious. The seafood pasta meal was good but it gave me some digestive issues. Someone in my group tried my dish and said that the little octopuses and calamari were rubbery.
The staff here is very sweet and accommodating. Was here for my best friend's birthday celebration and this restaurant made it so easy for us to have a great time! They made sure we all went home happy and we felt so welcomed. The place is very cute and cozy. The menu has a lot of options. The food was delicious!! The drinks are to die for with fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed this experience. Would come back for sure! The food had so much flavor.
Absolutely love this place. The service is always top notch, as are the food and drinks. It's a cozy restaurant with a lot of warmth. Our server was knowledgeable of gluten free options on the menu, which was great. They start every table with potato chips and a yummy aioli, truly addicting! For food, the filet mignon was perfection. A previous time I came, they had shrimp and scallops in a saffron cream with wild rice and market vegetables and it was DIVINE! The menu does change so that dish wasn't listed this recent time that we went. It would be amazing if they brought it back as a permanent dish!!! For drinks, I loved by Buzzin in Bikini Bottom cocktail! It is my favorite! My fiancé liked the Negroni and Julep as well, but loved my drink above those. I'd definitely recommend going to Six One Nine for a date night or dinner outing! read more

Small but beautiful. I got an upscale vibe as soon as I walked thru the door. I was met by a hostess at their booth where they found a table for my company and I. She let me have a say in where I sat which is always an awesome thing, if possible . Their menu is small but mighty. Mostly speaking on behalf of their starters, salads, drinks and their dessert. It's diverse but lovely and creative. I waited just a bit before being greeted by my server who apologized for the slight wait. We put an order of affogato and tap water stat. It was a little loud for nothing being completely full but it wasn't distracting or uncomfortable. Affogato was incredible, Brussels 619 was good a bit dry and maybe missing a hint of something. The mussels had a dominating flavor of cumin and the meatballs were in a creamy reddish Marsala tasting sauce . The meatballs fell apart, and were unstab-able with my fork. I loved the colony mule, it was so tasty and I'd def get it again. Overall fun experience here at 619 supper club. read more

Went to Six One Nine Supper Club in Wallingford last night and yeah... they did not disappoint. The vibe is real grown and sexy. Dim lighting, intimate, perfect for a birthday or date night. We started out with the complimentary chips with house-made aioli; it was bomb. Next up was a round of starters. The Parker House Rolls were soft, buttery, and golden on top. The fried Mac & cheese balls had a nice coating, but the mac lacked seasoning and cheese . The bacon scallops were O-mazing!The onion rings were stacked nicely, but they lacked flavor and weren't crispy at all. However the Filet mignon, Pork Bao Buns, Meatballs, Steak Frites, and Pasta Primavera did NOT disappoint. Overall, food was fire, presentation was on point, and the whole experience felt worth it. Definitely a spot I'd spin the block on. read more

Very nice staff. Nice time. Beautiful restaurant. Great addition to Wallingford. Our table wasn't ready so the owner came over and took our drink order by the front. Nice drink menu. I ordered the spicy margarita. Great presentation with a Tahin rim. They bring you three amazing hummus dips with pita bread. The hummus was amazing. One that sticks out was the avocado one. Wow. For an entree I had the scallops and we split the ceasar salad. Salad was huge! Very accommodating restaurant. I'm gluten free and they replaced the orzo with wild rice. Scallops were served over that. Smaller scallops which are tastier and not as mushy as the large scallops normally served at restaurants. I dont do cauliflower or onions so they replaced with asparagus. Owner came over and asked if everything was ok and that's when I mentioned I can't eat cauliflower and as mentioned she replaced. I forgot to take a picture of my entree. :( My one suggestion is listing what the sides are with dishes. Cauliflower is definitely popular and trendy tho so I get it. They even made it purple which was cool. The bar is nice too we had been previously for a drink. Nice ambiance. I will say it's pricey for Wallingford - $36 I believe for my scallops but it's a nice place. We will be back. read more
A friend and I made reservations for 7 PM on New Year's Eve. It was both our first time here we were lucky we made reservations because the place was packed. The restaurant is in a small strip mall in the center of Wallingford. The parking lot was almost full, but I was able to find a spot easily, the restaurant itself is pretty small, but it is decorated very nicely, and there did seem to be quite a few tables for the space. There is also a nice bar, but it is a part of the dining room as well, not a separate area I already knew going in that I wanted to order, the brussels sprout salad and the pork belly boa buns. They had specials, so I ordered a bowl of the lobster bisque as well since that was not on the regular menu. My friend ordered a Caesar salad and the salmon entrée. For dessert I ordered the coconut and banana cake and my friend ordered the chocolate chip lava cake. we both loved everything we ordered. My salad was so big that I can only eat about 1/3 of it and took the rest home. The lobster bisque had big chunks of lobster meat in it and it might've been the best lobster bisque I've ever had. Our desserts were also very good. The service was good and fast. Our water was refilled often. everyone working there was also very friendly and professional. I cannot wait to return and try some other things on their menu. Their menu is small but adequate. I like that because I don't have to spend so much time reading a menu and trying to figure things out. Overall an extremely positive experience. read more

I came here with my husband and friends for a Sunday dinner. I didn't expect the restaurant to be in the plaza that it is, seeing how nice it is inside. I started off with the Spice Train - perfectly made. I split Sweet and Spicy Wings with my husband, while my friends had the Parker House Rolls, and Bao Bao Buns. I can't speak for my friends, but my husband and I killed the wings - that sauce was heavenly. For my meal, I decided to get the Half Chicken and added a side of their mashed potatoes with spinach. I loved the chicken and the squash puree. I wish the spinach was cooked in the mashed potatoes - this was my least favorite part of the meal. I finished my meal with some kind of molten cake that I split with husband - I can't remember the name. The flavor was good, but the cake was on the dry side. My reason for one star off is because the prices were pretty steep. Overall, I did enjoy my visit and plan to come back again! read more
Needed a break after work and a coworker suggested six one nine! I went to this place on a Monday afternoon with some coworkers for social hour. I drive by this place all the time and didn't know this hidden gem was here. Our waitress was very nice and explain the menu very well. Everything looked so good we had to order one of everything on the social menu and split it. The 619 drum wings was our favorite. I personally enjoy the flight of boas. They had a dish for everyone and each plate was $10. The presentation of the dishes was aesthetically pleasing. We had plenty of left over to take home. I also had a piña colada, which was perfect for the hot summer days we've been getting. Looking forward to coming here again for social hour! read more

This was our first time at the 619 and I have mixed emotions about it. First things first, they use OpenTable which I love. However, we called them directly because the app wouldn't accept the time we wanted, so for that kudos. Now, this establishment is nestled in the heart of Wallingford. We picked a busy night to visit this place, but we had theater tickets in the area. Anyway, traffic getting to this spot was pretty dense, but that's not a hit on the establishment. Just plan ahead for that. The restaurant was appealing for me. It's an intimate spot with a bigger feel to it; meaning it was noisy. We were greeted and sat promptly which I'm a huge fan of. Our server Julie was pretty cool. Attentive and personable which I always appreciate. We had a lovely bottle of red wine which was priced reasonably. The full bar is in sight of every table in the house and the bartender was shaking up cocktails left and right. Very entertaining. The menu was interesting. There were items like the bao bao buns that I'd never heard of and was anxious to try. We ordered a flight, which was a sampler of 4 very unique pairings. Everything that we ordered was visually appealing to say the least. I think that the 619 has a great niche for what it is. HOWEVER, it kills me to even mention a few of these discrepancies, but I try to be thorough without being douchey about it. The food itself, my other half and my son both commented on how salty everything was, maybe that's a little subjective, but that's our take on what we had. The lollipop chicken wings were pretty awesome. Great presentation on everything also. The portions were hearty and worth the prices in my opinion. My steak was a bit over cooked for medium, but I'll take half the hit on that for not being more obliging when the manager asked me to cut into it to double check that it was right. But my mindset is, I shouldn't have to if it's prepared the way I order it, right? Moving on, The thing that really got me was when the check came. We had just ordered dessert, it hadn't even been delivered to the table yet and Julie dropped the check on the table. We all raised our eyebrows at that one. Consequently, the dessert came out around 10-15 mins after the check had been dropped. I'm not gonna lie, that irked me the wrong way; and yes people were waiting to be seated, but that shouldn't affect our service, we felt rushed. Not cool. All in all, I want to try this place again, so please don't repeat the same indiscretions again. Plz and Ty. read more
Went to the supper club for the 1st time , Wow what a great restaurant in Wallingford . We went for the social hour or happy hour , beautifully decorated restaurant with great attentive service reasonably priced menu. Started off with Steak tartar nicely prepared in the traditional style , very tasty would order again, next the flat bread meat lovers style , loaded up with sausage , prosciutto, pepperoni this flat bread is excellent definitely order this . Next the burger , great high quality burger with arugula Gruyère cheese bursting with flavor! Great drinks ! Can't wait to return and have the dinner entrees they all look great , definitely be returning! 5stars ! read more

The only thing Wallingford was missing was a place like Six One Nine Supper Club! Perfectly crafted cocktails and amazing trendy American food in a classy yet relaxed setting. FOOD & DRINK: My husband and I have found it incredibly rare to find a spot that has equally amazing food AND cocktails. Especially for whisky enthusiasts. This place is it!! It was fun watching the bartenders fix up creative drinks at he bar. The menu options are perfect but even better is that they are executed well. Kale Caesar salad was so good and huge. We also shared the bao bao buns but the star of the show was the steak tartare. It wasn't masked by overbearing seasonings like most other places. so the flavor of the meat stood out and it was definitely top 3 best steak tartare we've had. SERVICE: Despite risking dinner plans with no rez, we got a table! The staff was very polite and accommodating. Our server helped us decide on drinks and was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Honestly I wouldn't change a thing about the service, food, or drink. ATMOSPHERE: Sophistication without being stuffy. It's awesome for a date night or wanting to treat yourself after a long day at work. The only thing stopping me from coming back more often is the level of noise. The space is a bit loud and could benefit from lower db music when restaurant is full along with some additions to catch the sound on the ceiling/wall/floor/anything. Overall it's intimate, tastefully decorated, modern, and comfortable. Oh, and I'm still thinking about the Peachy Keen drink. Hearts for eyeballs. read more

It was the first time at Six One Nine and it was even better than expected! Ambiance was very classy, with an elegant bar at the center. Well put together for the space. We had the flight of bao bao buns to start, which was a fun menu choice, so we didn't have to choose only one style. The bao bao buns were delicious and each were a meal on their own. I had the large scallops, which were perfection with beautiful purple rice, and just enough heat. We also ordered the beef homemade pasta which looked amazing. I can't leave out the giant onion ring tower. Other people came over to the table to ask what it was! Finished with a banana coconut cake. One of the owners came out to chat with us during our meal which was great. Our waiter was very attentive. Can't wait to go back! read more

Booked a reservation for 14 people for a friend's birthday brunch. Upon arrival the service was excellent. Rebecca went above and beyond to accommodate our large party while still managing to get to her other guests in a timely fashion. One of the bartenders, Conrad I believe his name was, made great cocktails for the table. The choice or Red or Green bloody mary's was great as well! Our party started with the Bao flights and Squash Blossom appetizers which were delicious! We ordered the pastry tray for the table with their homemade honey butter and concord grape jam which was also excellent. Apparently they source their pastries from the local bakery store next door, I am personally a fan of supporting local businesses. For entrees, memorable mentions were the Short Rib Benedict, Carne Asada Breakfast Burrito, Brioche French Toast with fresh fruit& the Croque Madame. The Ambiance is intimate and cozy, gives you a modern and trendy vibe with a dash of class that's slightly speak-easy. We were extremely satisfied with our experience and we will be returning. I recommend this establishment to anyone who's looking for a fun and delicious brunch that won't break the bank. read more
