Yes - we we're back again because they're one of the few breweries that actually have stouts available. Not to mention they were doing a great event where you could paint your pet. Basically was a paint my number, but the artist who was hosting the event got a picture of your pet created the numbers and then you got to paint it on the easel. It was a really cool experience and by no means am I an artist but I had a great time. It was $65 to paint one pet. The artist was really helpful and walked you through tougher areas as well. If you were participating in the activity, you got one beer on her. We hung out after and enjoyed another beer and the fun atmosphere. If you love great craft beer, Twelve Talons is one of the best kept secrets in Orlando. So Travis, the owner/brewer is in my opinion a genius. He brews beer like some people paint master pieces. The beer here is next level, especially if you appreciate the nuances of craft beer. Sarah was our server the two times I have been here and, what a great person. And she so knows her beer. The first time I was here Travis explained the concept of the 3 foot raven or crow, but upon making this review, the mythology escapes me. Still... whatever they are doing here is working. And... if you love craft beer, this is a must visit. There is beer, mead, wine and mixed drinks. And they have a dedicated food truck with some decent options. The BEER: Papa Midnight coconut Imperial Stout 10.8% ABV... so imagine a mounds or almond joy, but it is a stout. The nose is all toasted coconut. And it is so very great. Da Minted peppermint Imperial Stout 10.8% ABV... so I saved this one for last because I thought it would be sweet, and it is not. Dark chocolate and mint. Very delicious.... The Hop & Haze IPA 5.6% ABV... this a great hazy, white grapefruit, clean flavors and totally crushable She's Not Rude, Just Chai spiced red ale 5.5% ABV... the chai makes this red ale smell sweet and it is anything but that Beauregard's Berry End fruited sour 5.8% ABV... has a sweet jam nose, it is a sour, and it is sour, but those jam notes make it next level... "it's a little earthy and that comes from the mushrooms" To Sir, Wit Love gose 4.7% ABV... Light flavorful, slightly salty, slightly sour, not everyone's palette, but definitely mine Path to Gold golden ale 5% ABV... so very crushable, this is your everyday beer for everyday people She's a Bonnie Lass Irish Red 5.8%... wow, the taste is indescribable, it is red ale with balance A Norse of a Different Color hazy IPA 7% ABV... so high in IBUs, great mouth feel, if you like a piny hoppy IPA, you will be a fan Oolong Time, No See session mead 6% ABV... I am totally in love with this session mead. So graceful, tasteful and unique. I think this is my favorite!!! The Hummingbird Special sweet mead 11.8% ABV... says fermented Florida wild flowers honey, but it has a sweet and nutty almost peanut flavor. It is super sweet and quite tasty. Like a sweet wine. TT hard Cider 6.6% ABV... dry cider, like an an English cider, really liked it I so wish ai lived closer to Twelve Talons. So many great and unique flavors in craft beers, ciders and meads. Quite possibly the most interesting of the places we stopped on our latest brewery outting... Why? Well, while the outside was pretty much non-descript, the inside was very nicely decorated with lamps and such hanging from the ceiling. Plus the bar was spacious and there was plenty of comfortable seating inside. What also caught my eye was their menu - chock full of seltzers which surprised me. I hadn't seen that in quite some time. We enjoyed a couple of their beers there this evening and the service was friendly and welcoming. And the truth about Twelve Talons is that it's a new, beautiful, comfortable spot on Orlando's heavily-trafficked South Street, and....wait for it.......they make REALLY good beer. Boy, did this part of Orlando need a brewery with a relaxed vibe. That plays good music and serves delicious beer. Let's also go ahead and mention the people who run the place. They are as friendly and personable as you'll find anywhere. Currently, they don't brew lagers or pilsners. So you'll get stouts, hazy IPAs, seltzers, berliners, red ales, and the like. But they're all pretty dang good. Even there fall spiced beer, which uses yam rather than pumpkin, is something I've gone back for three times now. So let's wrap this. Orlando, congratulations. The location is conveniently located off 408 and has a large grassy area in addition to a small paved parking lot. Walking in there are indoor tables and a bar area. The decor is simple which suits the vibes. I was a little conflicted between getting a cocktail or a beer. I was able to speak with a bartender who helped me choose a beer. It was great! We tried this spot during their soft opening. The inside is welcoming and pretty with a relaxed vibe. The bartenders were very friendly and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. We tried a couple of beers (Wait! Lemme Overthink This & Livin the Lime Life), a cocktail (Dueling Dragons), and mead (Render Unto Cyser). All were good! They had some collabs with Rockpit Brewing, another local favorite of mine. There was food available via a truck outside that I believe will be a permanent fixture along with others. Was here for soft opening and this is going to be a great place even after the official opening. They have some great friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a variety of draft beers, wine, and wine based cocktails that were delicious. We did not stay that long since it was later on a week night for us and for soft opening we didn't want to keep them. There is a bar area and table/chairs as well. They also have a food truck that will set up as well and they had some good choices on the menu they were sharing at the bar (they were not open when we were there). This was our first visit. There was plenty of parking. I liked the wide open feeling of one wall completely glass windows. The beer selection was diverse. I'm not huge into hops so I went for the blonde which was yummy. The session mead was also fantastic! I want to try their fresh squeezed lemonade. This past weekend was my first time visiting Twelve Talons since they opened. Usually when I visit a new brewery I'm pretty skeptical, with most new breweries it takes a few months to get things sorted out but I must say I was pretty impressed with Twelve Talons! I tried their mango sour IPA and the peppermint stout, both were wonderful! The sour IPA tasted like it had fresh puree and the stout tasted like a liquid York peppermint patty. I also tried a sip of my friends golden ale which was delightful! Definitely a crushable beer! Although I did not eat, they did have two food trucks outside which was nice, I feel like a brewery with no food can sometimes be tough. Great to have another brewery in Orlando! We visited for their grand opening and had a great time. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful exterior of the building - angular and modern with plenty of large glass windows to invite you in and keep the place bright. Once inside, we were instantly greeted by the kind staff and given a quick rundown of the place and the offerings on tap. Speaking of their offerings, they had 20 beers + meads on tap along with a couple of wine options - truly something for everyone. I went with the hazy IPA and later the cider, both of which were delicious and well crafted. The cider was especially great for this time of year - the perfect blend of brut and crisp. I like trying new local craft breweries and stopped by Twelve Talons when I saw they opened up a few months ago. They offer a unique selection of beer, and you can get different sizes if you want to try a few. We returned last month when we found out they were having an Olympic marathon trials watch party, which was so much fun! I had been looking forward to this new brewery opening and was excited to go, but I have to admit I was a little underwhelmed. The positives were that the brewery has a modern look and feel, I love the windows at the front and the inside is simplistic and clean. There is also a small outdoor patio area and food trucks on site. The beer/mead list was pretty limited but the most underwhelming part was the service...there were two bartenders working on the Sunday afternoon we went and neither seemed thrilled to be there. We sat at the bar and we were struggling a bit with ordering since it was brand new and we weren't sure what to try, and our bartender didn't try to help us at all or give any suggestions. When we asked about a particular ingredient listed she said "I don't know, I think it's a fruit." She seemed annoyed that it was taking us a while to order. Once we were served our selections, we were completely ignored...even though it wasn't busy at all. We expected to have some conversational chit chat since we were sitting at the bar (isn't that what bartenders are supposed to do?) but even after a few attempts of our own it became clear that the bartender was not interested in engaging. It almost felt kind of awkward. At one point the second bartender came over to close our check and he wasn't necessarily any friendlier. We were there to celebrate my dad's birthday and he's super into brewing, discussing different beers, etc so it was disappointing to have this experience. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they may still be finding their footing since they just opened, but as a general prerequisite bartenders should be outgoing friendly people...it really makes a difference in the overall experience. read more

There is also an outdoor space and a couple of food trucks if you need some sustenance while partaking of alcohol, which I appreciate. We felt like sitting at the bar to get to know the bartenders. I ordered a flight because there were too many good sounding choices and I happen to know the two brewers here are super talented, so I couldn't pick just one. My beers of choice were #s 1-4 on the menu, and the beers here are always on rotation, so you understand my dilemma. All of them were fantastic, as expected. Looking for a place with 8 of the 12 taps IPAs?? This ain't it. The beer at 12 Talons is interesting, sometimes edgy and there should be something for everyone. The menu changes weekly so best to double check social media before a trip over but I enjoy this for one big reason. Despite the heat outside there's often a big stout in the lineup, as well as a refreshing cider and mead. The brewer often has something which he's experimenting/experimented with in the lineup which is worth delving into, and ask nicely and you just might get a taste before you go big. The place is always immaculate, the glassware pristine and on display, and (this is a first for me to comment on) the absolute cleanest rest rooms I have ever seen in any brewing establishment. Looking out the windowall to the east the MCO inbound/outbound flights come into view. There is outdoor seating and canines are welcome. Food trucks are there on occasion, again visit social media for times, with no set schedule. I go here for the beer, and it has yet to disappoint. I doubt it will anytime soon. One little item, the road out front of TT is one way going west, if you come from the north on Primrose make the left into the field behind and take the dirt road to the back where the signs screams Brewery! I visited twelve talons on a Thursday for a first date. Immediately, I saw that their menu focuses on stouts and was thrilled. I find it hard to find places with great stouts down here probably because it's so hot. While there, I tried 2 stouts and a honey beer, and they were all absolutely delicious. The team there was very nice and I enjoyed talking with them. They're attended to us very well. I'm very excited to go back and to see what they bring to the Orlando beer scene! read more

Warm and friendly spot not to far from the house. Probably 7 or 8 drafts on tap along with 3 draft (wine based) cocktails. Also a decent selection of red and white wines. The staff is great and very friendly and the interior is very nice and welcoming. Now for the beer. I started with the Blond ale from Rockpit brewing. Then moved to a Mexican imperial stout which was not what I expected with the chocolate notes but still tasted great. Also had the "Livin the lime life". Really good tart sour No, it's not a huge on-site brewer but what they produce is Definitely worth the stop. BTW. Try the wine based margarita!! Killer! Really nice folks here. read more

I stumbled onto Twelve Talons while taking a new route home, and I am glad I did! We got there just after 4pm, on a Friday, and it was not busy. The beers were great. The bartenders were super helpful and accommodating as we narrowed our choices. Turns out the bartender is also a co-owner. I appreciated his brew knowledge, and it has inspired me to try a couple of his favorites on my next visit. This place is just over a year old, and still has that fresh, new-build smell. The place is super clean and well-maintained. I look forward to going back. This place is good, and I think it is largely a hidden gem. Give it a try....like us, you'll be glad you did. read more
