I went in The Hub today for no particular reason Look around for a bit and I ended up purchasing a pair of gloves. While at the register I remembered I needed to get some info on greasing the lower linkage on my Santa Cruz 5010. There was a second guy at the register (ill just call him Mr. Know-it-all) who kept on shutting me down Telling me things like "Santa Cruz doesn't use grea8se ports on their linkage anymore, that's old technology" even after I reminded him that my bike was a year 2021 model. I kindly told him "I have the bike right outside I can bring it in and show you if you like" Of course he refused to look at it because Just like anyone who thinks they know-it-all, hates to be shown otherwise. He says to me "if your bike didn't come with a grease gun it doesn't have a grease fitting". After that I walked out. I could go get are all my parts online and get all my information from YouTube but I dont want to see local bike shops die. I would think that being a Santa Cruz authorized dealer would mean you should be able to answer any type of questions about their bikes accurately. So not only did this guy make himself look like an idiot, He is bad for the shop's business because I (A paying customer) probably won't go back. They are hands down the best shop in Napa. I have had them work on my Surly Disc Trucker, my wife's Novara (REI house brand) Corsa (hybrid), and my Giant TCR Advance 1 Disc road bike. They are knowledgable about all things with two wheels, and would not hesitate to recommend this shop. I brought my TCR in after trying to do some upgrades myself, and Lex and Keith were very understanding and helped me realize what I was doing wrong. They are quite busy, but I wasn't in a rush. I had my bike back better than ever in about two weeks. Since COVID started, bike shops are having trouble with supply chain issues, but it wasn't a problem. They were happy to help me with my TCR upgrade project, and their shop prices and policies are totally reasonable. read more

I like this place. They don't make me feel dumb when I go in. I don't own a regular bicycle, I used to be really into bmx but things have changed, mainly my physical capabilities and knowlege retention. I have a motorized bicycle so things sometimes need to be manipulated to get them to work. I don't get asked a thousand questions for a chain link, you feel me. I don't think I will be ever buying a new bicycle, have you seen the price of those things? Gotta take a mortgage out and shizz. However, if i were, i would definately go here first. Hours are good as well. Parking is plentiful. The front door is a automatic slider so dont try to open it. read more

Went to the other bike shop in napa, Initials being BW. i stood around but no one asked if I needed help. Another customer told me where bike helmets were; they not well displayed. They were on the floor by the wall and barely visible. Not much of a selection so I went to Hub. Friendly service by Seth, who helped me decide on helmet and bike lock. Felt no pressure to buy particular brand or the most expensive stuff. Later in afternoon went back to get a rearview mirror. This time Dennis helped me select one (of several types), and he installed it into my handlebar. This place is a real bike shop with low key knowledgeable staff, unlike BW which seems like a clothing shop with limited bike accessories. read more

I paid for a $300 kid bike at Giant web site to be picked up from their store in Napa for my nephew (I don't live in Napa). They insisted that they will not give the bike because it may be credit card fraud etc. Yet they said they will sell me the same bike on the phone with my credit card. Dumbest thing I have heard. They deserve to lose this business and yours too. Go elsewhere. read more

Knowledgeable and friendly staff at the shop. Took my road bike down for some repairs and a tune up. The technicians in the shop took their time in explaining what was going to be done to the bike and offered their opinions as well on what repairs would be beneficial. They explained the price of everything so there are no hidden fees at the end. My bike had a complete tune up, replaced all the cables and brake pads, new seat, flushed and cleaned the gears, new handlebar wrap, and it was done and back at my house in two business days. Awesome! Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get a new bike or need a tune up for a bike you currently have. Still a great bike shop! When I was younger, I used to come here for BMX; it was called Bicycle Madness (not sure if just a name change or new owner). After nearly 10 years and I came in looking for a bike for my wife and a trailer to pull my 2 year old son. The staff was very helpful and demoed everything for us; ripping open boxes and taking their time answering our questions. Gave us a great deal on everything and threw in a lot of accessories. They also had a nice selection of kid's bikes. I'm going back to replace my old bike so I can keep up with my wife. Definitely still recommend this place. read more

Keith took a lot of time explaining the features of the bikes, and saved me $200 by selling me a year old model for my wife that only had a different pain job than the current one. My husband and I bought out bikes here almost a year ago. We have so enjoyed our experience. Our bikes are perfect for us and it's because of the expert advice of the staff at the Hub. When picking out our bikes the staff spent lots of time with us to ensure we got just the right bikes and fit. Since then we've been back several times for complementary maintenance. This time the staff found a thorn in my husbands a bicycle tire. Unfortunately it punched the tube. They took care of it although changing a tired was a bit pricy $19, but they did the maintenance of our bikes for free. We love the service although I think we're going to purchase a kit to change our own tubes in the future. Definitely out place for bike purchases and maintenance. read more

I've been coming here practically since they opened. The Hub is easily the best bike shop in Napa and the only one I can unequivocally recommend. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and are capable of doing anything you need for your bike. They are all regular bicyclists and they only carry products that they would use themselves. They stand by both their work and their products, and they have always resolved any issue that I brought to their attention. For instance, they stopped selling a style of panniers after I informed them that they were defective. I used to ride a cheap bike that constantly broke down but they kept it running for ten years longer than it should have lasted. When I finally decided to get a reliable bike, I of course came to The Hub where they found me something perfect for my needs. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. read more
