These are used shoes after a test ride.

First time customer at Bike Closet. After searching online high and low, BC was the only retailer that had the exact Sidi MTB shoes I wanted to try out, in my size, and at a great sale price. Size was not available or shoes were completely sold out at all the big sites I usually buy from. The idea of text-only customer service (no phone or email support) was somewhat of a concern, but I did get prompt responses to my questions. (I think this helps keep BC's prices so competitive.) Great selection of bike gear, really great prices, fast shipping and delivery, especially if you live in Northern California. Now my first choice for new gear. AND...we should ALL support our local small businesses!

Placed an order for Garmin Rally XC200 Power Pedals Dual Side Shimano SPD Cleats and some items, UPS say a label was created, but no package has been received. Used email and text as there are no other way to communicate. My order was over $1042. Been texting and emails but no response.

Bad tires mailed to me.

I bought 3 Continental 4000 tires from Bike Closet last August, they felt dry rotted when they arrived but I took a chance and put them on. They got sporadic use over the winter but I noticed late winter that something on them was hitting my forks. The reflective tape was coming off. Had to remove them with very little miles on them. Contacted Bike Closet and got lousy responses. Same old crap like "We've never had this problem", You should have said something in August". I offered to send them back so they could see for themselves but they would not agree to it. They sold me old tires, or ones that were defective. I got tired of arguing with them over it, but will work overtime to trash their name now. These people suck.

Ask the Community - Bike Closet

Has everyone only purchased online? It sounds Like shipping is unreliable so I'm wondering if I can stop by the shop I'm Vacaville and if I do will anyone be there?

I live in San francisco and have ordered sram components, enve tires, and tubes from them and they shipped same day. They also responded fast through text so my experiences with them have been great.…

The moment I arrived at the shoes a young man asked f I needed help. I told him I needed time to look. After a while I had selected a couple I wanted to try on. I could see no one to help me. I finally found the young man hiding between shoe racks in the back room. He got the shoes I asked for then disappeared again. When I was ready to try another pair I scanned the store for help. A young woman staring at her phone carefully avoided my area. Another was busy putting up sale signs. I raised my voice to ask for help and the original young man appeared and came over. He got me another pair and disappeared again. I truly felt like I was interrupting their day.

I needed to purchase scope mounts to mount my full size rifle scope to a Gamo pellet gun. The mounting grooves that these pellet rifles have, make it difficult to find mounts that are secure. I needed to take both my scope and my pellet rifle to the store to try their mounts. Carrying a rifle (even a pellet gun) in full California public view, is a recipe for confusion, pre-conceived 2nd ammendment bias, ignorant Karens, and scurrying people in parking lots! Even though I "broke" the barrel (now folded in half) and hung it over my arm, clearly visible to be in a non-operatable position, too many people are wholly ignorant of the California gun laws. I stood in the entrance of the store and calmly explained what I needed and why I was bringing my pellet gun into their store in this fashion. I assured the sales ladies that not only was it unloaded, but that when the barrel was in the bent, or 'broken' position this pellet gun was not able to fire at all. I didn't receive any excuses or personal bias. The manager came to the front, accessed the situation, and ok'd me to enter the store. While others may view this with "whats wrong with taking his pellet gun in the store" all gun owners, even BB and Pellet guns, know exactly what I expected to happen. However.... The staff was very helpful, even though we weren't able to find the mounts that I needed. I do appreciate their professionalism and the Manager's knowledge of gun laws in this predominantly Blue state.

My white ebike with batteries and chargers and extra wheel replacements and cleaning supply box. 105 E St Suite 2C Davis CA 95616 I was given a small slip of paper with a ticket number on it AS the receipt to "prove" I'd given it to him. As the mobile bike road repair man who owns his own business I didn't mind too much. But a year is a long time, so I asked for the bike back. He said "sorry it was JUST stolen". But ...Aaron didn't inform me until I ASKED. When I asked for some sort of reimbursement, Aaron said a potential customer had tested the bike...during the test ride- this unknown customer had gone in for a bubble tea. The bike was stolen during that stop, but the customer promised to pay $450 (Aaron told me the $450 had been received...) As the go-between I asked him to pay me this at least for my very expensive bike. He didn't answer. I asked for $400. He didn't answer. I waited and asked again... he didn't answer. I called the shop... I'm dissatisfied and disappointed with the service if it means that's the store. If not, then perhaps someone used your identity as a mobile repairman??? However I have verified online that this is the owner of Apex cycle and Kaiju BJJ ACADEMY.... If that's true I'm wondering about my bike or money thanks

What made the experience even more reassuring is that Dr. Julia is not only a bike fit specialist, but also a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a very competitive athlete in the world of cycling and triathlon. Having someone who truly understands both the science of the body and the demands of the sport made all the difference. She took the time to understand my mobility, my goals, and explained every adjustment along the way. The process felt very intentional and personalized. After my fit, I immediately noticed improved comfort and confidence on the bike, especially during the test ride out. I cannot believe the experience I had with this business! I just got back from picking up my bike…read morethat I only purchased two months ago. The derailer hangar snapped and needed to be replaced. This is why I left extremely upset! I bought the bike to go on rides with my son. I bought a separate seat that is attached to the middle bar so my toddler can ride with me. Last week during my ride we came across a cross walk where I began to cross and needed to shift gears up as I had just came from climbing a hill. While in the cross walk I began to shift gears down and the chain came apart causing my back wheel to be stuck. I had to carry the whole bike with my son it to the other of the cross walk. The following day - contacted customer service for help. I was placed on hold, then HUNG UP on. I immediately called right back and got the same woman who then told me she could NOT help me because I exceeded the 30 day return. She mentioned that she would have exchanged it but the bike was sold out. She then informed me the only option for me was to contact warranty and she referred me to my manual for the number. Next day - google GT warranty. Department was closed after 5. (Called when I was off work) Day after - called warranty and was transferred to a different warranty because they handled my brand bike and found out the department was CLOSED due to COVID. I then contact DICKS customer service and some guy answered who seemed like he just woke up out of his sleep and was high. I couldn't even believe it. He was so out of it... slurring his words... couldn't remember the things he was saying... and his sentences didn't even make sense! He told me that the bike had a 90 day return policy and to bring it to the store for return. Because of my strange interaction with him I contacted my local Dick's sporting goods and spoke to the manager Becky. I told Becky my experience and asked her if it was true that I could return my bike. She told me that it was not and told me she understood the frustration with warranty as she has experienced the department being closed as well. She made me feel understood and knew exactly what I was talking about. She told me to bring the bike in the store and that we could fix it. She gave me a heads up that it would be a first come first serve and I was fine with that as I was in no rush and just wanted the bike fixed. I offered to buy the part on Amazon as it cost about $20 and could possibly get it quicker than if they had ordered it. She told me not to come out of pocket that the store would just go through warranty. I was so happy to have spoke to her because I thought finally some good service. Next week - I bring my bike in. I walk to the back where I knew the bikes were located and came across Bob who mentioned he was about to be off and to go the front where I will need to fill out papers. So I go back to the front and waited to fill out papers. The girl assisting me was helping so many other people I was just standing there. Not to mention I had my 3 yo old who wasn't as patient. I filled the paper work Bob comes to the front and tells ME what happened to my bike. Basically telling me that I dropped my bike (which I never did) that he can tell because of the scuff marks (my bike came with no kickstand and when riding my bike I def brush the pedal against the wall when I come to a stop at a bench) he mentioned the oil on my spokes came from the chains coming off because the hangar bent when I dropped it. Which wasn't true. Before bringing it my son had been spinning where the gears shift and was touching the spokes with hands. The fact that they were causing me what I DID with my bike made me feel a type of way. I didn't argue with him because that's what he thinks after fixing bikes for a long time that no matter what I said wasn't going to change his mind. 2 days later - Bob calls me to tell me my bike is fixed and ready to go! He was very pleasant to speak with and although I felt a way from him telling me what I did to my bike I was just happy that he fixed it so fast! He was kind and told me he was able to fix it faster than usually was because he had an extra part from a previous bike he had to fix. He told me I would not be charged for any labor and to just pay for the hangar. I expressed my appreciation because I anticipated it being there longer and told him I'd come after work to pick it up. While I didn't mention it to him that Becky told me warranty would take care of it I waited until I got to the store with hopes of Becky being there. Arrival - I go to the back and push the button since no one was in the section. Steven comes over and was RUDE from the get go. I let him know that I pushed the button and he was like "OKAY." I was expecting him to say something else and he just stared at me so I said "I'm here to pick up my bike" and he was like "Okay... name?" And so I said "Jacklynn" so he rudely opens the binder and keeps flip
