I came here to have the derailleur adjusted because the chain on a new bike I bought for my son keeps coming off when shifting. One quick look the guy (can't remember his name, but is a Filipino guy) at the shop noticed the chain was too long and needed to be cut. I believe that was $5 to do and then the to adjust the derailleur, it was going to cost $30 ($35 total). He said to leave the bike there and he will call later when it is completed. I decided to go grab some lunch while I waited for the bike to be completed. He called a couple hours later and said the bike was done and ready to be picked up. When I arrived he said the chain was bent in a spot, so those were the links he removed. He also said one of the adjustments on the derailleur was broken as the derailleur that came with the bike was cheap. He also made a few other adjustment to the bike for free which was greatly appreciated. If you need to purchase a used bike, need some adjustments on your bike or need to fix/replace any parts, Green Bicycle Depot is a great place for budget price.

I bought my bicycle from Fisk's about a year and half-ago and although I paid a premium price, I am glad I did. The bike has been rock solid and a pleasure to ride and I have had no issues with it. I went ahead and bough my wife a quality bike and we ride together now. But the reason I am giving Fisk's Cyclery is because of the owner - he has a PASSION for bicycles, PASSION and DEDICATION to his craft and a PASSION to help others. He was able to get the rear derailleur shifting perfectly. While there was an issue with the front derailleur that required a part he didn't have in stock, he was incredibly transparent and honest about it. He even saved me from needing the highest gear since I mostly use the bike to haul my kids around. When I went to pick it up, I was shocked that he didn't charge me anything because he felt he hadn't fully resolved the front derailleur issue. I really appreciate the time he spent working on it and his honest approach to service. It's rare to find someone so hardworking and fair.
