I enjoy this place because of their views and their drinks. It's a great spot during warmer seasons to sit outdoors and enjoy a good drinks and great views. The service is usually great. This is a 10-15 min walk from the subway station.

Best about this place is the ambience, it's on the marina. Beautiful outdoor spot. Service was ok, There aren't many food options. Some listed on the menu are not available. Drinks are pricey for brunch $18 for a small glass Pina Colada.

I always like to check out restaurants on the Hudson and this one definitely had a nice vibe to it. We went really early so it wasn't crowded at all. Got to sit outside to enjoy the view. Can't really say much about the food because I didn't order much but I'll be back for sure.. We did have the Pork Belly and Cajun Fried Shrimp. Both were really good! Kate was our waitress and she was great very informative and kind!

My job rented this place for an event and the food was okay at best (served buffet style), the drinks were watered down (which is understanding since it was a work event), the workers were overwhelmed by the amount of people there but at least they were nice. My favorite part about this place was the view so I feel like I need to come back when it's open to the public to try their made to order food and drinks and get a good sense of the place. I wouldn't recommend anyone to book this place for their private event (as imo that was an okay experience at best) but I'm open to coming back and seeing the vibes when it's open to the public.

The location and views here are five stars. It would be an awesome spot to hang out and get drinks, with ample covered and outdoor seating including patio furniture couch seating. Their frozen pina colada was probably the best my friends have ever had. Incredibly creamy and delicious. Afditionally, our server was great, friendly and attentive! But I can't give more than three stars because the food is just so sub par. We had the ceviche, which we didn't care for, it was just baby shrimp, and came with very stale chips. We also had the fried calamari, which was alright, just your average fried calamari from anywhere. Their baha fish tacos were very dry. Their mac and cheese lacked any flavor, just bowtie pasta in a milky sauce that came topped with unmelted shredded cheddar. The hot dog and onion rings were standard.

We came here a couple of times since the switch from La Marina. The first in 2018 was a blast. The second in 2019 was fun today we came in at 6:30 on a Wednesday and the place is empty. Should have left. We ordered two virgin Pina Colada for the kids. They wouldn't drink them. Said they tasted like a cross between Sprite and dishwater. Replaced them with Mountain Dew which was from the fountain and apparently no syrup. For dinner the lobster roll was old and stale. The casino clams has no flavor. You couldn't even taste the bacon. When can you not taste bacon? The mussels were dry and stale. My son had a shrimp boil. The shrimp was still frozen in the middle, the sausage - never saw that consistency before. The Birria tacos were bland and I added salt. Then I pulled a glob of fat out like I've never seen. Finally, mac and cheese. Tasted like milk. I don't know what happened here but I know why they are empty. Don't do it. You'll regret it. The view is pretty and no one was in our way!!!!

This is a fairly new establishment. I remember when this space was La Marina and coming here for a lit Yelp Elite event. The place is just as breathtaking with beautiful views of the Hudson River, lights strewn everywhere, and spacious outdoor seating. The menu is quite extensive, and I was debating between BBQ (ribs, of course) or one of the entrée plates. I finally decided to order a Combination Taco Plate, served with coconut rice and plantains. I selected 2 Shrimp Tacos, and 1 Corn with Mushroom Taco. The Shrimp Tacos consisted of shrimp, corn mango salsa, and avocado crema. This was delicious! The shrimp was plentiful, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Corn and Mushroom Taco included cotija cheese, and crema. This was also tasty. The vegetables were wonderfully fresh and cooked perfectly. All the ingredients combined together well to make for yummy bites! I really enjoyed the plantains, which were just the right amount of sweetness, soft, moist, and slightly charred. The rice was also great with strong coconut taste, as well as a nice consistency. My friend had the BBQ Rib Tips, so I got to try some and they were absolutely mouthwatering! These were house smoked and finished with homemade BBQ sauce. They were small morsels of incredibly tender, delightfully succulent, satisfyingly crispy, and deeply flavorful meat! Service was pretty good throughout our time. There were a few mix-ups when it came to the different sushi rolls that were ordered, but our waiter was eager to make it right. We had a lovely experience here. I would be open to returning to have the Coconut Shrimp and Ribs, but it probably won't be for awhile because I live quite far from this restaurant.

So excited they're back open. The vibes and drinks are awesome! Food was great. My Server Onika was amazing despite being busy! Will come back again

At long last after fifteen (15) torrid months of a pandemic, lockdown and closings the City of New York is resurfacing to normalcy or at least as close to normalcy as possible. Wary continues. Formerly known as La Marina which closed and re-opened as The Hudson. It is a waterfront lounge and restaurant consisting of very mediocre drinks and substandard detrimental customer service. There was only one measly bar tender name Jose C. to serve patrons and he was busy concocting drinks for other patrons ignoring my party of two until and inevitable ten minutes later. He did not acknowledge my party's physical presence with a simple "hi, how are you? I'll be right with you." After work to chill in hopes of expelling fifteen (15) torrid months of essential work in-person physically at the office, abject frustration, stress, utter anxiety and sheer exhaustion was rated MEH! My co-worker and I ordered: Watermelon frozen Daiquiri - $14.00 Truly a frozen delight which is a good cool down for a day's end of hot humid summer's day. Pina Colada creamy semi frozen - $14.00 Awful! It was not frozen nor served extremely cold and I had to request cherries from the bar tender name Jose C. who does not by default embedded as industry standard. Fresh cherries are part of this alcoholic drink! It was served with one piece of dried stale pineapple, but not fresh. Patrons flock to The Hudson mainly for the view of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge, NOT for the food, drink nor customer service. The staff discreetly, I believe, intake the view as well which is a big distraction to their work of servicing customers portraying a substandard detrimental food, drink and hospitality service level. There are abundant outdoor seating of couches, high chairs where patrons can relax and eyes affixed to the view of overlooking Hudson River. No comment on the food as neither I nor my co-worker intake any - as the reviews are accurate. I wither from despond - utter slough of despond. Dismay. Discontent. Disappointment. Note: NYC COVID-19 surcharge 3.50% is automatically affixed to one's bill.

Not my first time at The Hudson, definitely my first review. The raw oyster were fresh and delicious. My sushi spicy combo was great. The tuna poke bowl was great as well. Highly suggest these three plates. Despite a private event happening at The Hudson, the staff was great, attentive and explained to us in advance that all waiters/waitresses we first to let us know. One of the bartenders went as far as to ask me if I was ok with the food it was too much sushi for me to eat and insisted on talking to the manager to take off the bill. I had to stress the fact that it was great sushi and (sorry, forgot his name).

There are no signs, and you walk up a set of steps and through a thick curtain to get inside. It's tucked into an old brownstone and very easy to miss. We went right around 7pm, and it was completely empty. That actually makes sense since Broadway shows start around then, so it's a great time to hit a bar or restaurant in the area. We sat at the bar. Service was a bit mixed. The bartender we had wasn't very friendly, but we did get our drinks without issue. We ordered a couple of Mexican mules and a martini. The martini was fabulous -- definitely the standout. Unfortunately, the mules were not great. I was also hoping for some specialty or holiday cocktails, but there weren't any. That said, the space itself is beautiful and has a cool, hidden-gem feel. The other staff we interacted with were very nice -- we just happened to get the grumpy bartender. Would I go back? Probably not, but only because there are so many other places in NYC I'd want to try. Still, it's a cool spot (if you can find it).

The bar is not marked by a sign either. What may have been a hidden secret in the past is not so much a secret these days. They take reservations over phone up to one week in advance. There's a number of tables and booth seating, and a few bar seats available for a walk in. The menu of food is pretty decent though lacking in many vegetarian or vegan options. I opted for a grilled cheese sans the bacon and it was good. The grilled cheese has goat cheese in it which may not be for every one. I had an aviation drink and a glass of riesling. The cocktail was pretty standard. The wine was good. Service was generally good and attentive at the bar. The host in the front was kind. It seems like they have a coat check which I did not use. There is one bathroom in the back. The bar is definitely more crowded pre and post theater. It was packed 5pm-7pm but around 7pm, it became noticeably quiet and the bar emptied out. I'd suggest coming here while a show is playing to avoid a crowd. However, even with a packed house, the bar was not loud. Of course, if you prefer a pre or post theater cocktail, I'd recommend a reservation to guarantee entry. While this bar won't be known for its drinks or food, I think much of the allure stems from the location and the reputation for attracting famous clientele. It's a pretty chill place in the midst of crazy Times Square, so I'd definitely come back. While it may attract some tourists (if they find out about it), it generally seemed to cater to the wider New York crowd (I.e Manhattanites but also Westchester folk, Long Islanders, New Jerseyans driving in, etc)

Instead of taking the review as constructive criticism and maybe improve their service, he decided to be hateful. The food was "nice" but not great. Didn't receive what we ordered, and service was nonexistent. The business owner's response is very disappointing. In late November, we went to Bacall's to soak up the holiday spirit. And my goodness, they was full of holiday spirit!!! From the moment we walked in, the inside was decked out with crazy amount of decorations. You go up the staircase to upper level to the main dining area. It was called Frosty's Christmas Bar inside the Bacall's, and it sure was spectacular. Decoration in every inch of the place, from top to bottom. In addition to that, they had a few photo-op spots, which were really fun too. We ordered some drinks, Meet Me at Bacall's, Espresso Martini, and White Sangria. I liked that they had some blueberries in the Meet Me at Bacall's and the White Sangria. All the drinks were all nice and tasty, and a good portion too. For food, one of us ordered Braised Short Rib, but we somehow received Filet Mignon... Since the server never really came back to check on us, we just had that. It was a nice dish, although it was not what we ordered. Linguini Vongole was nice, the pasta was cooked well, coated in the flavorful sauce. It had a good amount of clams. Steak Frites was tasty. The steak was cooked just the way I wanted, juicy and flavorful. It was a nice sized steak, very filling too. The fries were addictive, went great with the steak. For dessert, I was very interested in their layer cake. I saw a few pictures of it, and looked really good. Bacall's 16 Layer Cream Cake looked different from the pictures I saw, which was all ivory color. The one we received was festive with red and green, perfect for holiday dessert. Unfortunately, it only looked good. Each layer of cake was a bit tough, and not as creamy as I thought it would be. Good thing we also ordered Japanese Cheesecake, because it was quite good. I was very curious what makes it "Japanese" cheesecake. When it arrived, I got it. The cake was round and stacked on top of each other, looks like popular and famous Japanese soufflé pancakes. We had a fun dinner there, with overload of holiday decorations. The atmosphere was perfect to take in the holiday spirit. However, we couldn't say the same for the service. At the beginning, it was ok, but then we felt like we were forgotten by our waiter. The place was not that busy when we visited... He never really came by to check on us, or brough our check. We had to get whoever else around to get our check. When we saw that they already included 20% tip to the check, although there were just three of us, we understood the bad service. If they thought they are going to get 20% tip regardless, then they might think they don't need to provide good service... Bringing the wrong dish, never checking on us, etc. Regardless to say, we were disappointed with the service. But, it was a fun place to go visit during the holiday season.

Large portions, none of us had an appetizer or dessert. Two criticisms: first, the tables are sort of jammed together, which isn't unusual in Manhattan, but the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable; second, while you can get bread, but you have to ask for it, which at midtown prices, I find a bit cheap. Pricing is typical for the area. The entrees, other than vegetarian, are between $30 to $42, while the appetizers are about a third cheaper. I loved watching the cocktails being made and speaking of cocktails, they are excellent. The Bool included tequila, pomegranate and jalapeño; the other cocktail was a spritz of sorts and both were fabulous. The menu is Korean tapas, so we ordered a bunch of items to try. As each dish was served the server described the dish and even provided some instructions on the best way to eat it, if applicable. Tuna Tartare was quite good, the knife cuts were a bit inconsistent which was surprising given the level of everything, but the dish was still enjoyable; citrusy with crispy sunchoke chips. Oyster Mushroom Tacos were incredible. It didn't even feel like I was eating mushrooms. The tacos were so falvorful and balanced.
