Came here for brunch with a friend. The space was lovely and bustling, with a welcoming ambiance. When I first arrived, the quoted wait time was 30 minutes, but it turned out to be closer to 45 minutes. While waiting, I sipped on a Cinnamon Maple Latte, which was bold and strong, as well as heavy on the cinnamon, but could have used more maple and sweetness. My friend and I shared the Bread and Cornbread Basket, served warm with raspberry preserve jam and butter. The Bread was perfectly baked, fluffy, and well seasoned. Cornbread was glazed, giving it a slightly sweet taste, as well as crumbly in a good way. The butter made the breads richer, while the raspberry jam added a nice layer of flavor. For my meal, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, adding Truffle Fries, which were an additional $5. This also came with a small side salad topped with radishes. The Steak was tender, wonderfully juicy, and flavorful. Eggs were cooked over hard, just how I like them and made expertly. Truffle fries had a generous sprinkling of Parmesan and were delightfully crispy, with strong truffle yumminess. Salad gave a fresh element to the dish. Service was lovely. Our waitress was friendly and everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were decent. I would consider returning for dinner to try the Short Rib or Brisket Mac & Cheese. read more

This past Monday, Sept 14th, two of my friends and I, which included three women of color went to Inwood Farm restaurant for an early dinner/happy hour. When we first arrived at the restaurant, we ended up waiting longer than expected as we received no attention. After a few minutes, the hostess/bartender came up to us and, while bringing us to the table, abruptly dropped the menus on the tables and walked away. Nothing was ever said on her part, not even her name. This was just one of many incidents that happened with her throughout the night.  Her customer service was awful with every encounter. She was always short and had a tone. I ordered the mushroom and waffle plate which arrived cold and tasted as if something in it was spoiled. After telling her that I did not want this plate, she grabbed my food and again just walked away without a word. She then returns to our table to say that she tasted my plate and that is how it is supposed to taste. I found this to be extremely disrespectful and rude on her part.  Towards the end of this awful experience our hostess/bartender changes her shift with a different waitress and no one ever communicates this to us. At this point, we are ready to leave as soon as possible. When we finally received our check, there was a 20% gratuity automatically added to our bill of only three guests. Again, this vital detail was never communicated with us. I mention the detail that we were the only party that was of color - I'm  unsure if that had something to do with it. This is our go to breakfast whenever we have the time to stop by! Super pet friendly, they have a designated dine in area for people with their pets :) they even have a huge jar of milkbone dog treats near the entrance when you walk in! There's a separate dine in area for those without pets too. I love ordering their steak and eggs, and my boyfriend is a HUGE fan of their blueberry pancakes. He says their pancakes are #1 on his list. And their service is great! I always recommend everyone to try this place. 10/10 read more

I loveeee Inwood Farm! When I lived in Inwood I would walk to Inwood Farm for their matcha latte or freshly baked cookies on a weekly basis! The staff is super friendly and attentive. If I had any negative to say it's that the wait time is LONG even with a reservation. You must get their cornbread with strawberry butter. The Mac n cheese was delicious and it didn't feel too heavy. The cinnamon trio pancakes were not my vibe at all. It was like 3 pieces of honey buns, just dry with no syrup. The eggs Benedict were great but the bread was cold (bread should ALWAYS be toasted). I love Inwood Farm. It's definitely one of the best restaurants to eat at in the area. In the evenings, the warm lights and big windows make it perfect for a date night. I end up going about once every other month, either for dinner or brunch. This last time I went for dinner I got the pepper crusted tuna, spaghetti bolognese (daily special), and the crème brûlée for dessert. I love that Inwood Farm keeps it interested with their soups and daily specials. The service is always good, with the wait staff knowledgeable about the details with the finely crafted menu. I always end up recommending this place to people who find themselves way uptown. You won't be disappointed. read more

So I came in today for some take out food. Walked in, busy like always, nice ambiance. Waited for about 3 mins watching everyone do their job. However, not one greeting. No "give me one second sir". I was second customer of 3 waiting. And felt completely overlooked. Customer 1 and 3 had their orders taken before me. I don't like that. I'm tall, black, and not transparent... so I don't like that when I brought up that I was there waiting before the 3rd customer, he says "sorry I didn't see you!" You WALKED RIGHT PASSED ME! . We hadn't frequented Inwood Farm in several years and decided to give their brunch menu a try today. The food was very good-fried eggs prepared well with crispy edges and runny yolk. Excellent thickly-sliced bacon and very good fried potatoes. Steak and eggs was good though the steak itself was very thin, especially for a $29.00 entree. It was prepared to order and was very good. Oddly enough, however, there was no toast offered with our order. Who eats eggs without bread? We were able to secure some sliced French bread and butter however, and the staff was accommodating. The sangria was tasty as well. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere is rustic and charming, as it has always been. We will be back again. read more

It's a great location overlooking the Harlem River and the food was excellent. We haven't gone back to this spot since we had a bad experience, BEFORE they became Inwood Farm. I am not sure why they didn't create a new Yelp page when they changed over their name, management, everything... But hey, here it goes. This spot has changed its name once or twice, and now it is called Inwood Farm. The inside space is the same, with a nice large dining space with lots of natural light. They have a fully stocked bar as well. They have the "café" section in the front as well, with all sorts of baked goods, and ice cream too. We were there for a brunch, so we ordered cappuccino, Crab Cake Benedict, Stuffed Brioche French Toast, and side of Bacon. Stuffed Brioche French Toast was a nice size. It is made with Raspberry Filling and Mint, although I don't know where the mint was on ours, I didn't taste any minty flavor. Crab Cake Benedict is pricier for obvious reason, but I really wanted crab cake... It is made with Jumbo Lump Crab, moist and flavorful. The biscuit/English muffin (?) on the bottom was a bit too hard. We had a pleasant brunch here at the Inwood Farm, I say the new people are doing a good job! The food was tasty, the service was friendly. A nice relaxing brunch. I would like to go back again to try some other dishes in a near future. read more

And when the young lady approached me she act like she was un happy and did not wish to service me as I ask for a Manager I was informed no Manager was on site and I could not eat or be serviced like I was being judged and as I was told I can go order but because the tablet was out I had to be serviced at the register and the waitress stated she basically was not gonna seevice me because I had my lap top out never heard of this no msmager to speak to on site never heard of it I went to another restaurant and was served pleasantly and with open arms how could I give my hard earned money to these people with horrible customer service and when you ask to speak to a manager no manager poor customer service lack on management. This is not the restaurant to eat at if you plan to work on your lap top. You cannot eat or be serviced if you on your lap top this is not acceptable dont eat here it gives me racist vibes. We came to Inwood Farm after having it on our list of places to go for quite some time. When you walk in, you're immediately met with the smoothest of R&B music, creating such a relaxing and chill vibe. Inside there about 3 different levels of seating, including a bar area. We sat down immediately, and the service was good throughout the night. For drinks, we had the French 75 and Strawberry Margarita. Since it was gin and champagne based, the French 75 came in a champagne glass, so it wasn't your standard cocktail size. But at the end of the night, we both ordered another strawberry margarita. Luckily, we ordered appetizers because we had a feeling that the entree sizes wouldn't be too filling (and they ended up being on the small side). The brussel sprouts with sliced green apple and prosciutto were delicious, and the honey bourbon wings were some of the best I've had. My love had the Australian lamb cops and I had the Pan Seared Branzino. We both enjoyed our meals, as she had since tenderness to the lamb, and my fish had a nice crunch along the edges. The oyster mushrooms were cooked well. For dessert, we had the cookie and cream, which was a giant and warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla gelato. We couldn't get enough of it. Decent brunch, but service was painfully slow (and can't say the place was particularly crowded). It was an inopportune time too--we stopped to refuel in the middle of The Great Saunter--a 32 mile walk around the Manhattan shoreline, and didn't have the near 2 hours it took us to finish a simple booze-less brunch. I Will say that the Crab Cake Benedict and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts sides were on point. This is my go to restaurant when I'm in Inwood area. I have taken different friends here and they have appreciated the vibe and the ambiance. The food is always good. I like their lunch specials and breakfast. In cold weather months, inside has a warm and toasty feel. During the warm weather months, I like to sit outside, people watch, enjoy appetizers and drinks. The baristas need to have better customer service. You never know who's listening and seeing how you guys are treating a customer. A customer wasn't satisfied with the quality of the drink and one barista said out loud to the other, it's going to taste the same. Maybe they need to be re-train on how to make better quality drinks. The drinks aren't free nor cheap! They're plenty of coffee shops in this neighborhood. I have been meaning to go to this restaurant for such a long time and i finally did! I was excited! Inwood Farm is located near a park and a body of water that you can take a stroll around after eating. I went on a date with my bf and when we entered I could see that the restaurant was also a cafe which was nice. The cafe side was very dog friendly which was cute. We arrived around 430pm and just missed brunch so we ordered the Brussel sprouts with bacon and Apple shredded on top and honey bourbon wings for appetizers. For the main course, we ordered the Bronzino over cauliflower purée and the Australian lamb over mashed potatoes with carrots. I would say the service could've been better. I wish the waitress was more attentive. We had to ask for our waters to be refilled and it didn't seem like they had bussers on staff to collect our finished plates once things got a little busy in the restaurant. The drinks were nice, but we had to order two they weren't as strong as we used to, but we enjoyed the prickly pear margarita (it was a tad bit salty). The appetizers were delicious! I really enjoyed the wings. I definitely recommend ordering the bourbon wings. The lamb chops were tasty I ordered them to be medium well done. I was surprised about the portion size but I'm glad that we got appetizers first so that we could feel full at the end of our meal, The Bronzino tasted better than it looked, I loved the vegetables that came with it because I am a fan of oyster mushrooms. I would probably would've plated the Bronzino in a different way. It really didn't look appetizing at first but it tasted really good. I loved the music and vibe of the restaurant it was cozy, warm. I loved the oldies music playing in the background. The grand finale for dessert was the chocolate chip walnut cookie with vanilla gelato ice cream. Oh my gosh this is the best cookie I ever had in my life! I usually don't like walnuts, but they were not the main flavor that you taste when you bite into this cookie. Came for Brunch on Sunday for a friend's birthday. Had a cappuccino and the lavender lemonade. Everyone liked their food but the winners were definitely the brisket mac n cheese. As a vegetarian, there were a few options. I ordered the Country Fried Mushroom which was on the heavier side, because it's deep fried. It had good flavor but could have benefited from a little more seasoning- some peppers. It doesn't come with any home fries but that might be a nice side to order if you're really hungry. The Mac and cheese was really good on its own and if you're a vegetarian, that could also be an option. Their alternative milk options are almond, and soy. I've been coming to Inwood Farm for almost two years now for lunch, dinner, coffee, ice cream. Although I'm dropping my score to a 3/5, it's still going to be a place on heavy rotation. Here's the good stuff: 1. Location is amazing, looking out over the park, and some great sunset views. 2. Staff are fantastic. 3. Menu is straightforward neighborhood restaurant stuff (burger, roast chicken, steak etc). 4. Some nights they have live music (blues/jazz etc) which is always fun. 5. Good coffee (if you like a dark roast). Here's the reality check: 1. It's a bit grimy. It kind of needs a deep clean. I've had a plate come out that had residue from previous meal. Ice cream cabinet has broken glass in it. HVAC vents have grease/dust build ups. 2. Kitchen can be a bit inconsistent- I like meat cooked medium, but asking for medium can get you anything from medium rare to well done. 3. Price/quality is a bit off. I had a chef friend order the burger (which I think is fine) and they mentioned it was poorly seasoned and kind of disappointing for the price ($18). I still love this place, and could easily be a 4-star place with a little more attention to detail, but to be realistic I have this a solid 3 (still worth a visit, but with appropriate expectations). read more
