The Human Bean is my fav. It's SO convenient with the double-sided drive-through and the lines move exceptionally quick. When the lines are longer, they send out a barista to help move it along. They definitely have that aspect figured out! The menu is creative and I definitely think there is something for everyone. My daughter loves their coffee-free drinks such as the creamosa (Italian cream soda) and I tend to opt for the Mate. Perhaps what I love the most about the Human Bean is their love they show to those of us who don't tolerate/like milk. They have almond milk, soy milk, and macadamia milk. The human bean is my absolute favorite coffee stop! The people are always so caring and will remake a drink for you if there is an issue. I love the human bean! I am a chocolate lover, so my favorite drinks include a "chocolate cream cookie"; "Milky Way". "The Aztec" is cinnamon deliciousness and I usually get it as a mocha (made with chocolate milk). My husband always gets a "snow capped rocky" or the "Tuscan sunset" as a latte drink. Every drink is amazing hot, iced, or blended. The blended is really sweet so I often prefer it iced. Great coffee place! The drive thru line may look long at times, but the baristas are very quick with getting the line moving. My favorite drink is the Mexi Mocha, and I love the chocolate covered bean you get with every coffee. I highly recommend this place, for sure my first choice in coffee. I prefer the Human Bean over Starbucks! love their options my favorite is the sopapilla cafe latte frozen. lots of flavour and you always get a covered coffee bean with it! they also have stamp cards. I am a big fan of stamp cards and collecting towards a free coffee. the pricing is fair and the employees always happy and helpful. Really friendly staff, and the little bean is such a nice touch. I love the variety of menu items. Unfortunately, the coffee just wasn't great, in my opinion. My breve just tasted like warm milk with very little coffee. I may give it another try, because I want to like it, but based upon some other reviews I'm getting the feeling this might just be the way it is (and it seems like that's fine by most people). One other thing, the coffee had a hint of bleach flavor, so I wondered if maybe the water isn't filtered...or maybe it was the milk, which sometimes tastes like that to me. read more

This morning I had been released from the hospital and went to get a coffee so I could hopefully feel a little better and treat myself, while I was searching for my wallet I told the nice lady who waited on me (I don't remember her name but she had glasses) to pardon me while I searched my bag and that I had been in the hospital all night and she so kindly told me not to worry about it and that it was on them.. I almost started crying. She was so kind and that meant a lot to for her to do that... I offered to pay and she insisted not. I told her I would pay it forward next time! She made my morning a lot better and gave me a hope that there are still people that care what your dealing with. I want to say thank you so much bean staff! You guys are amazing and hard workers! The human bean is a great place to stop in the morning for a coffee and a bite to eat. They have two drive through windows or you can just walk up. They have daily specials that are actually a really good deal. They have some decent breakfast burritos as well. I am kind of finicky when it comes to coffee and if it has my bonafide stamp of approval for always keeping it in mind and going back. Just a handful of such places come to mind. I had one such place in Denver and in Loveland and was very happy to find The Human Bean and consider it one of the few places where I go crazy for coffee. Usually it is for chai tea. Those that read enough of my reviews probably already know that. ;) No, the coffee is simply amazing, their roast is always awesome the times I have been here and you can also get pastries here now too which are quite good. As a 'thank you' for choosing them they give you one or two little chocolate covered coffee bean to eat with you coffee. Such tasty little morsels that they are! The times I have been to the Human Bean has not been in my car but on my bike. The Spring Creek bike path is just a hop, skip and a jump away. All you need to do is get off your bike and walk it across the bridge from the trail along College Ave. and you are there. Keep in mind though, it is NOT allowed to bike on College. The Human Bean is a drive-thru so there is no place where you can go inside and sit but there are tables and benches outside that they have provided that you can use, or you can just drive away with your drinks too. Their location is very convenient for my daily commute and the beautiful female staff are always very friendly. I asked how many grams of sugar was in their pumpkin coffee, they said as much as I wanted. Then they proceeded to give me a regular coffee, then I reminded them I wanted the pumpkin with no sugar. Came with 5 people and we came in our HUGE truck because we're just moving. All other locations I've ever been to have a place to park and walk in. Parking the truck and not bringing it through the drive through when it barely fits is optimal. When I'm at dutch bros and I walk up whether there's a line or not they let me know they'll get to me after the cars that were OBVIOUSLY ahead of me and I wait. This had nothing to do with "cutting the line" like the worker accused us all of. We got sent away from the window because we were told it's not allowed to park and walk up to the window. "The window is strictly for people walking along the street" lmao. I won't be back or to another human bean. Being told off in front of all the cars and laughed at was ridiculous. I've never experienced customer service of this nature. It was a horrible experience and they lost FIVE customers today. Laughing and slamming the window in our face is inappropriate and absurd. Learning to hire workers that can manage their customers would be necessary to have a proper business. Next time they want me to have a brand new truck hang it's tail out onto a busy street i'd like them to place themselves in our shoes. I have patience and understanding to wait my turn. My favorite coffee drive-up. Always greeted with happy and friendly personalities makes this my number 1 stop for coffee! My stop always feels more like stopping to say HI to family/friends - they are personable and know how to connect with their customers. The chocolate covered bean is a bonus. I love that they reach out to different local charities or organizations that make a difference. Once I saw a sign for free coffee to our waste management workers - how often we forget to reward those workers that make our life better. They also fund a child in Haiti and send a representative once a year to meet with the child and family - you know the funds actually go to the child. They also have fun games to win a free coffee, espresso shot, or other goodie! So creative. I'll always be a VIB (Very Important Bean)!!!! read more

I gave the Human Bean on South College another try. The cold-brewed coffee was again weak. The 20oz iced espresso tasted like it might have had half a shot.. tasted mostly sweet. A bartender at Black and Bottle brewery told us about this coffee spot, he said we had to try it before leaving Ft Collins. We are so glad we got our morning coffee there on our way out of town. It's a tiny place with a wall up window to order from and 2 tables outside if you prefer to enjoy your coffee there, so there's no inside. Otherwise it's drive thru with a really long line of cars. I don't have patienve for lines so we just parked and order our coffee from the walk up window. They have the classics and other signature drinks that are very unique so needless to say the options are overwhelming for a first timer. Amy was our barista, and I asked her for a suggestion of what I should try. She was so friendly and helpful, and I loved my drink. I don't know the name, but it was a hot coffee drink with white chocolate but not overly sweet, super yummy. My bf had a latte, he's more of a classic guy. Great coffee, great options, great service! Will definitely return to this place every time I'm in Ft Collins. Another example of the great service, Amy gave us a voucher for a free drink for our next visit since it was our first time there. I love their coffee. If my rating was based on just the coffee I would give 5 stars for sure. My only gripe is the food. I tried a veggie breggo and it was soggy. My boyfriend had a breakfast burrito and it was nothing special, similar to something you could get at a gas station and heat up in the microwave. For $6 each I was expecting better. To be fair, I've also had a blueberry scone and it was delicious. Maybe it's just the hot food that's lacking. Either way, I will stick to only coffee from now on. read more
