I really liked this place! I loved the caramel mocha. If you go, request the chocolate sauce rather than the powder. It's much better and with the extra charge. Idk why they offer both. They should lose the powder and just offer the sauce. read more

Staff is rude.. I asked what they recommend since it was my first (and now last time) visiting human bean, and the dark haired girl didn't have much to recommend or even tell me what is good and explain any drinks after knowing it was my first time there. I got a iced coffee and the picture had whipped cream and I said I want the one in the picture and extra lots of whip and she had me pull forward and didn't greet me and gave me my drink w no whip and when I asked her for some she said they don't come with whip and I said well the picture has it and I asked for extra whip I love whip cream and she said you never asked for whipped and my kids were like yes she did she asked for extra too, and she gave them the dirtiest look and just stared at us and finally she ripped the cup out of my hand and put a tiny micro amount of whip and I decided well you won't be getting my 5$ tip and I told her she was rude and I wouldn't be back and she said GOOD !! Americano was weak and had a weird honey flavor!!! It should have three shot of espresso not watered down drip. My green tea was strong and very good. Nice patio are surrounded by bamboo. A bit of road noise but not bad. read more

This is the closest coffee shop to my home so I have been back half a dozen times at least hoping for a better result. The service is friendly but they mess up your order about 1/3rd of the time in my experience. The coffee is consistently bad, and so is the chai, avoid the chai. The coffee is overpriced, I just paid $9 for two basic 12oz drinks. I would accept the price if the coffee was good. The food is your typical pull it out of the freezer and put it into the microwave trash. When you pay the easy options for a tip are 15/18/20%. You can pick no tip, which is not a nice thing to do, or take the extra time to enter a custom tip and hold up the line. There is no reason to tip 15-20% for a process that should take 2 mins from start to finish, and for bad tasting coffee no less. I will not be back, again. read more

Quaint coffee shop with prompt & cordial customer service. The barista's/manager at The Human Bean asked me to leave for loitering because of Trisch Bliss & Laney Bliss for a couple of months straight. They told the manager at the Human bean I was chaotic, rude, & dysfunctional. I left New Hope Christian Church because the Bliss family were callous & had me banned from Broadway Coffee House. The manager at the Human Bean tolerates/ has empathy for me & does not evict me for loitering anymore. I was ever so grateful to the management team at The Human Bean for defending me from the Bliss family. The Bliss family exaggerated how emotionally immature & rude I was to them. The pastries, coffee, tea, & boba tea are delicious & fresh. The baristas always ensure my order is delivered fast. I am juvenile & always request the stickers of the season. Additionally, the internet wifi is always strong & I do not lose connection like other coffee shops. The seasonal drinks at The Human Bean are always delicious & match the holiday season. My go-to orders are the iced green tea with mango flavoring, white mocha, & strawberry shakes, & bagels are to-die for. read more

Nice and cool atmosphere and a nice place to take a break in the middle of a really hot walk. We enjoy the non-fat Irish cream latte here. It can be a little loud but they have shaded outside seating - however you're trading the expected barista ambience with the Chemawa traffic "ambience". dont waste your time here, unfortunately to say. i've ordered from here twice as they're close to my work & i was craving a coffee - first thing i ordered was a pumpkin pie smoothie, imagining a nice blended pumpkin pie drink. let me tell you, this is one of the sweetest things i've ever drank & i have the biggest sweet tooth out of anyone i know. couldn't even finish 1/2 of a 12oz bc it was just too too sweet. not good. today i ordered an iced chai, it tastes like water with a single scoop of chai powder. terrible consistency, i have much reason to believe it was made w water instead of milk, like a typical iced chai. i was a barista for about 4 years, so i was terribly let down! read more

I took my kiddo out for a mom and me coffee date the first day of school. It was my first time at this shop and I was looking forward to trying a new drink and hearing all about how the day went. We looked online for the closing time and checked the sign on the door before we went in. Both said we should have plenty of time for a nice long chat. When we arrived, the shop was clean, but nearly empty. It was a nice day outside, but it was almost too warm inside and the outdoor seating faced a busy parking lot. We were disappointed when the staff announced that they were closing an hour early. We were good with a shorter visit and got our drinks. I was keeping a close eye on the clock and we started wrapping up at 10 minutes before they closed in part because the staff seemed really anxious for us to leave. I might go through the drive thru again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this shop. There are several other shops within a few blocks that are way more friendly. read more

I make sure to stop here at least twice a month! Great place if you're trying to do school work with a friend as it's not so quiet to where you feel like you'll disturb someone but it's also not so loud. The baristas are awesome, I need to catch the girl's name that has recommended my fav drink! She's amazing and always has a compliment to brighten up my day. read more
