Mediocre at best! The chicken shawarma was okay. The different hummus flavors were mid. The dolmas has sat out too long and tasted overly refrigerated. Traditionally dolma\waraq 'inb - stuffed grape leaves are served hot/warm. The sauces were okay, nothing really worth praise. There are plenty of other chains and local shops that surpass the food here.

    1st time. Let's see what I think.

Very clean atmosphere and not that busy for servicing in the traders pointe area. It's mediterranean cuisine that offers a good variety of healthy options. I got a gyro to try and it was decent. The meat was tender and seasoned pretty good. I also got a side order of their sweet potato fries. They were a little too crunchy but they were delicious. I would try it out again. They did have Mediterranean bowls to burritos/wraps to gyros, or even actual meat entrees, and even salads. I think it's a welcomed edition and should be more visited than what it appears. I stopped by during lunch time and it was only me and another person placing an order.

You can create your own Mediterranean/Mid-East fusion meal at this new Trader's Point eatery. The counter and dining areas are upscale and the staff is welcoming. The choices are a little overwhelming on the first visit, but the manager will help walk you through the options and even let you taste before you buy. The ingredients are fresh (healthy) with several vegan options in addition to meat selections. The options are a mix of spicy and mild, so you can select what you prefer. The options are Bowl ($14) and Wrap or Pita ($13), which you select (they fill) with a base of greens couscous and beans, hummus (6 options), proteins (Any 2 of several options), salad toppings (about a dozen options including artichokes) and Mediterranean inspired dressings (6-8 options). Some of options have an up-charge so you have to pay attention as you move down the line. I had them create a bowl, which was spicy, large and filling. I selected a chicken shawarma and a vegetable farmers mix. All the hummus was excellent and the star of the meal. The veggies were very fresh. For drinks they offer a series of fruit lemonades. I tried the pomegranate lemonade, which was good. In addition, there is a limited selection of assorted bottled juices and waters and even a Tahini Shake! It would probably be hard to order for someone else. I'd come back.

Very nice Qdoba style/ go down the line quick Mediterranean fare. Good for lunch or to grab a quick bite. The portions are huge. I got the lamb gyro bowl with salad mix. There are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to hummus and dips. I also tried the lychee strawberry lemonade. There are plenty of fresh lemonade/ drinks. My total was about $20. $14 for the bowl but extra $1.75 for gyro meat and the drink was $3.

I was greeted upon entering. I couldn't decide between a bowl or falafel pita. I went with the pita and sweet potato fries. The lemonade was a little sweet for me. But I was still able to drink it. The bathroom was clean. My falafel and fries were made fresh. My food was flavorful. The restaurant was also clean. They handled the lunch rush well. This place is not only for vegans, but I'm happy to have found a new spot. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. I was also able to charge up .y laptop while I ate lunch, so that made it even better.

Tried out the recently opened Hummus Republic in Traders Point off of 86th street and it was . Fresh, delicious, healthy, and super friendly. Highly recommend the lemon chicken option. Loved trying the unique lemonade options - enjoyed the strawberry lychee and turmeric ginger lemonade.

I tried The Hummus Republic for the first time today and was delighted. As an employee at Corteva, just north of this location, I was thrilled to see a new "bowl" restaurant open up. I also have a dairy allergy which was VERY easy to manage here. I didn't feel like I compromised any flavor being dairy free. They have so many great selections for the bowls. I tried three hummus and they were all great. The steak was my favorite protein and the original tahini sauce pulled the whole bowl together. Their prices are fair given the quantity and quality of the food (love how fresh everything is). Great for paleo diet! The restaurant is clean and modern. 10/10 will be back!

Great dinner or lunch option! The employees were very friendly and let us try all the hummus flavors.

Great for a healthier lunch option. A little pricy for what it is, but not a lot of similar options around.

Both were delicious and well portioned. The guvec (veggie casserole) had eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, carrots, and other veggies plus rice and a small salad. Good thing we made reservations, which we will do again when we return.

The entire place is covered with the evil eye charms, so you should definitely be safe here. I highly recommend reservations because they sure get busy. And while the ambiance is great, you really cannot linger for long, as there are usually folks waiting to get a seat. The menu is quite extensive and offers plenty for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I opted for the Iskender, which is crisp pita bread pieces topped with meat slices, all of it doused in a savory tomato based sauce and topped with dollops of yoghurt. The bread has little crisp edges and together with the meat and toppings gives you like a mini sandwich in your mouth. Simply delicious. The Turkish spices bring a wonderful flavor to the dish. I highly recommend it. Hat to admit it, but I have not been too impressed with the tzaziki on previous visits. It was somewhat runny and bland, but I haven't had in a while. Street parking is limited, but in the summer there is a gravel lot on the side of the neighboring building. However when it snows, parking can be a bit of a problem, so be aware.

I called ahead and ordered: 2 kebab sandwiches 2 falafel sandwiches 2 kibbeh orders baba ghanoush fattoush salad The employee on the phone told me the order would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, I was told it would actually be another 17 minutes. I waited in my car, came back after that time passed, and then was told "maybe 13 more minutes." The biggest issue was not just the wait -- it was the lack of honesty and time management. If the restaurant had simply said from the beginning that they were behind and needed closer to an hour, I would have understood. What frustrates customers is being repeatedly given inaccurate wait times. People plan their schedules, families, and evenings around the times restaurants provide. After waiting inside, sitting directly in front of the counter, I watched the cook START preparing parts of my order almost an hour after I originally placed it. Items like the baba ghanoush, salad, and kibbeh -- foods that are usually already prepared -- were only assembled then. Meanwhile, customers who arrived after me and ordered at the restaurant were served before my takeout order was completed. Unfortunately, the food quality also suffered from the long delay: The sandwiches were soggy The salad had water pooled at the bottom and no dressing The kibbeh was soaked in grease For the amount paid, I expected much better service, communication, and food quality. A simple apology and realistic timing would have made a huge difference.

We planned to wait until 5:30 but we were told it was fine and we were seated immediately. The service throughout our meal was outstanding. The hummus was garlicky and wonderful. We all ordered different entrées. My choice was the vegetarian pastichio. Our entrées and all the sides were excellent. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert so we will try again next time. The ambiance was wonderful, the food and service could not have been better. We all agreed that we will be returning soon.

It happened to be the first warm day, and so I could tell I was probably the first customer to sit outside for the season. Even so, the tables and outdoor space were clean. Food: I got the meatballs and they were good! I enjoyed the feta on the inside. I felt they were a little dry and could have been more tender. The pita that accompanied was perfection! The french fries were also very yummy. The feta, oil, and seasoning were delicious. While the food was good, I'm not sure $30 for these two is reasonable.

We're always looking for good Greek food in Indianapolis and noticed this spot while eating…read moresomewhere nearby, so we decided to make a trip back downtown for it at a later time. Located in a cute blue house, this is conveniently located near Lucas Oil Stadium and there was a huge concert going on the night we were there, but we were still allowed to park in their parking area. Inside has nice lighting and is pretty plain but has a homey feel. The menu contains many items we're familiar with having visited Greece twice. So I'm going to be a little critical here with my review of the food. I ordered the Greek Spaghetti, which I have had in Greece. Unfortunately this was not at all what I was expecting or anything like Greek spaghetti. What I was served was basically Prego spaghetti sauce with pieces of gyro in it. Traditional Greek spaghetti (or Makaronia me Kima) is a wonderful sauce that's seasoned with all kinds of memorable spices. It's definitely not pieces of gyro meat thrown in a sauce. So while this was fine, it was not what I truly wanted or thought I was getting so I was pretty disappointed. My husband got the chicken souvlaki and that was better but still not quite like what I remember. The meat was almost smoked and lacked some of the Greek spices that gives it a distinct taste. And the tzatziki...well, let's just say it tastes like whipped feta and was lacking in flavor too. I did enjoy the pita bread. Our service was underwhelming as well. It took a while for anyone to notice we were there and needed to be seated and the server basically did the bare minimum, never even asking if we wanted our water refilled. Overall, it was fine. If I had never been to Greece, I may have a different opinion but this isn't someplace I really want to go back to.
