Mediocre at best! The chicken shawarma was okay. The different hummus flavors were mid. The dolmas has sat out too long and tasted overly refrigerated. Traditionally dolma\waraq 'inb - stuffed grape leaves are served hot/warm. The sauces were okay, nothing really worth praise. Very clean atmosphere and not that busy for servicing in the traders pointe area. It's mediterranean cuisine that offers a good variety of healthy options. I got a gyro to try and it was decent. The meat was tender and seasoned pretty good. I also got a side order of their sweet potato fries. They were a little too crunchy but they were delicious. I would try it out again. They did have Mediterranean bowls to burritos/wraps to gyros, or even actual meat entrees, and even salads. I think it's a welcomed edition and should be more visited than what it appears. You can create your own Mediterranean/Mid-East fusion meal at this new Trader's Point eatery. The counter and dining areas are upscale and the staff is welcoming. The choices are a little overwhelming on the first visit, but the manager will help walk you through the options and even let you taste before you buy. The ingredients are fresh (healthy) with several vegan options in addition to meat selections. The options are a mix of spicy and mild, so you can select what you prefer. The options are Bowl ($14) and Wrap or Pita ($13), which you select (they fill) with a base of greens couscous and beans, hummus (6 options), proteins (Any 2 of several options), salad toppings (about a dozen options including artichokes) and Mediterranean inspired dressings (6-8 options). Some of options have an up-charge so you have to pay attention as you move down the line. I had them create a bowl, which was spicy, large and filling. I selected a chicken shawarma and a vegetable farmers mix. All the hummus was excellent and the star of the meal. The veggies were very fresh. For drinks they offer a series of fruit lemonades. I tried the pomegranate lemonade, which was good. In addition, there is a limited selection of assorted bottled juices and waters and even a Tahini Shake! There are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to hummus and dips. I also tried the lychee strawberry lemonade. There are plenty of fresh lemonade/ drinks. I was greeted upon entering. I couldn't decide between a bowl or falafel pita. I went with the pita and sweet potato fries. The lemonade was a little sweet for me. But I was still able to drink it. The bathroom was clean. My falafel and fries were made fresh. My food was flavorful. The restaurant was also clean. They handled the lunch rush well. This place is not only for vegans, but I'm happy to have found a new spot. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. Honestly I'm really surprised by how much my family & I disliked this restaurant. We were all so excited to try this new Mediterranean place (as we love Mediterranean food), and it ended up being a major disappointment :( We got a variety of different menu items (bowls, wraps, pitas), and they looked beautiful... but unfortunately didn't taste beautiful. I only made it a few bites in before being so grossed out by my mushroom shawarma bowl. I ended up pawning off my meal to my dad (he eats anything) and even HE couldn't eat it. Truly, we all were wondering if something was rotten in our food. Can't say I'd recommend going here based off our experience. Got the bowl, which allows you to pick 3 of 6 hummus varieties. I got the traditional, olive and Harissa. The traditional and olive was a little pasty... the Harissa wet. Which is fine, but tradional should be grainy, garlicky and lemon flavored (at least mine is). There is saying "if the hummus is good, order the food". With the bowl, I got chicken and falafel. The chicken was great. The falafel wasn't fully cooked unfortunately. The bowl was balanced with some fresh toppings... and fried chickpeas. Then a roasted red pepper sauce. Overall, there are better service and offerings nearby. My pita was an added $1.64 which I understand but not 'down the street'. The drink variety and options is really good and nice option. First of all it was good, but next time I would have sauces put on the side. They made it too wet for my tasting. Second, I presented my zoo book coupon and they wouldn't accept it. In the book it has two coupons - one for buy one get one free and the other is for 25% off any order. They said they had to taake both at one time. I only had the one that was buy one entree and get second free and they wouldn't take it. I was buying 4 bowls and it was our first time there to try it! They make bowls / wraps / pita sandwiches focused on Hummus (they have four varieties) and various other proteins. Think Chipotle but with Hummus and falafel ; they do have chicken (wife liked it) and steak (didn't try it) The place is clean. The hummus was great, and the falafel was delectable. I tried The Hummus Republic for the first time today and was delighted. As an employee at Corteva, just north of this location, I was thrilled to see a new "bowl" restaurant open up. I also have a dairy allergy which was VERY easy to manage here. I didn't feel like I compromised any flavor being dairy free. They have so many great selections for the bowls. I tried three hummus and they were all great. The steak was my favorite protein and the original tahini sauce pulled the whole bowl together. Their prices are fair given the quantity and quality of the food (love how fresh everything is). Great for paleo diet! The restaurant is clean and modern. 10/10 will be back! read more

This is a new fast casual on West 86th in the Trader's Point area. They have only been open a few weeks when we visited a few weeks ago. I used a $5 off $25 coupon from a mailer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food is presented in typical fast casual style, where you choose a starch, green leafy veg, and protein for a bowl or a wrap, along with other toppings. I went with a bowl. The eponymous hummus included six varieties, of which I could choose three. I liked the eggplant the best, but they had options I don't normally see, like Kalamata olive. Most of the protein options were veg, like falafel, but they also had some meat options, like chicken. There were a variety of sauces, some of which were spicy. The menu included side items like dolmas and a burger made from chickpeas. The drinks included several mixed lemonade options, including pomegranate and lemon in addition to the usual Pepsi options. Overall it was healthier than at some other fast casuals and the flavors were great! The price of the bowl might seem a little high, but it was very satisfying! read more

Have been wanting to try this new place since first seeing the sign. Finally had the opportunity and it did not disappoint. Delicious - 10/10. Everything was incredibly fresh and seasoned well.
