One granddaughter loved the ham sandwich which was packed with ham. They both liked the applesauce and, of course, the cookie. There are four sandwiches or Mac and cheese to choose from. My husband had the $7.99 meal deal with the chicken sandwich. The sandwich was really good, especially with the added jalapeños. I had the loaded baked potato soup, which was somewhat of a let down. When I think of loaded baked potato, I think of cheese and bacon toppings, but this was just a thick white salty soup with lots of potatoes. I don't recommend the soup. The service was friendly. There was a bit of a line due recently opening. There are about a dozen tables/booths for eat-in dining.

The inside decor replicates the other stores while also having a few nods towards Whitestown. The lines looked long, but they moved quickly. I received my coupon the next day just in time for a return visit! I got the half salad and cup of soup. The powerhouse salad is very good, but does have a little zing to it. The Chicken Potpie Soup is Wonderful and I will get it frequently this Fall and Winter! So excited to have this nearby in our choices for dining!

I had the parmesan crusted pork loin with mashed sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were excellent and the pork loin tasty! Others had the sea bass, dried shrimp, and fish n chips. We had a group of 3 for an early Mother's Day dinner. We started off with a peach (or orange) martini and an old fashioned. The martini was fantastic. Old fashioned tasted like water. The spinach dip we shared was good and I would recommend it. All three of us ordered steaks, all medium rare. All three steaks came out over cooked - medium well at best. And the veggies (broccoli on one plate and green beans on another) were undercooked. I was most disappointed by the level of service we received. We hardly saw our server, and she never asked us if we wanted more drinks - which we would have happily ordered more to keep chatting away the evening. We had to flag her down even to get water refills. All three of us agreed that we didn't feel very welcome that evening. Again, maybe we just happened to go on a bad night, and would maybe try again for a better experience.

However, each of the items we ordered had excellent flavor. I would come back again purely for the fries and beer. Might need to scout the table options in order to identify where we would prefer to be seated for a more comfortable dining experience.

I was the only person at the counter, and there was one person sitting at a table. There were three employees behind the counter. My order was simple, just a sandwich and side of mac & cheese. I sat down at the nearest table and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally I went back to the counter, thinking maybe my order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. I approached the same employee who had taken my order, and she asked if I had ordered. I said yes, and she looked confused. I reminded her of what I had ordered. She talked to another employee who looked around and found my order sitting with a couple of other orders. He did apologize for letting it sit there and said they should have called out my name. My sandwich was good but not hot like it would have been if it hadn't been left sitting.

They'd been pushing a special soup called Kicken' Crab Chowder, which sounded really good. You order and pay at the counter when you enter and then get your drink and find a table. This location has a lot of tables and booths that are comfortable. The place is clean, but not particularly interesting. The menu offers a mix of sandwiches and combo plates. The clerk who took my order was friendly and accommodating. The food was to my table so fast, I hardly had time to get my drink. The Kicken' Crab Chowder was surprisingly flavorful with the distinct taste of crab and a hint of spicy heat. The soup was thick and hearty with bits of veggies. All in all, I liked the soup, but it was a bit salty. Also, the bowl that they advertise is larger and more enticing than the paper cup than what I received. There's plenty of parking in their shared lot.

And for being a small place the decorations are really kitschy and you really find yourself comfortable and ready to eat a meal. They have so many options and they have a nice selection of drinks but we opted for the fountain drinks (Pepsi products). On to our order, we got the sashimi platter, a spider roll and a Batman roll. The spider roll is fried soft shell crab and the Batman roll has a cream cheese halapeno popper in it. The sashimi platter had tuna, salmon, white tuna and yellow tail. Plus, it comes with a salmon roll. It was so refreshing and they make your order where you can see them. I can't praise this little sushi joint enough, but just know they make great Ramen and udon noodles. There's even bento boxes. If you want a quick and amazing meal then look no further than Takumi!
