I returned to Flower Child on a Sunday evening around 6:30 pm. I was kind of surprised how busy it was. After experiencing the food again I can understand why! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Somehow they read my mind and knew I was craving a red sangria! I was interested in the Avocado Caesar salad as well as the avocado hummus and soup of the day a Dukka curry. However I decided to load up on protein instead with the Steak Plate. It comes with two sides. I had the Parmesan broccoli which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. I also had the sweet chilli glazed sweet potatoes. Yum! My friend had almost the exact same order but with the kale salad. The decor is adorable and cheerful. The walls are lined with colorful artwork and it's a fun atmosphere. Even though it was busy we didn't have to wait long for our food. Looking forward to going back to try more things soon!

Flower Child is so consistent. Perfect spot for lunch! If you're in a pinch, this is the spot for you. It's always busy when I stop in, and I get my food no more than 10 minutes later. Lately, my go to has been either the steak or salmon plate with broccoli and Mac and cheese (or sweet potatoes). Special moment for the broccoli: it's charred and then topped with Parmesan. 10/10. * parking can get tricky here!

Stopped in here to give it a try as I was in the neighborhood. There was a small line to order when I walked in but it moved quickly. Then I received a table number pick and they brought my meal to me. I ordered the veggie plate and was able to choose three vegetarian sides. I ordered roasted Brussels sprouts, red chile glazed sweet potatoes, and kung pow cauliflower. I really did not care for the glazed sweet potatoes but the other two veggies were good. Cute place with all the artwork on the walls and it was clean. I saw a few other things on the menu that I would not mind trying so I am sure I will stop in again. They were definitely busy and I had to park in the lot behind Culinary Dropout and then walk back over.

Indianapolis is one of the hardest cities to find healthy options in. If you're an Indy native...you know in your heart this is true. This place is quick, easy, and delicious. The price points are decent. The staff are friendly. Add this to your list if you usually stay at home because anything "healthy" you eat while out is bland, or prohibitively expensive.

On my way to a Yelp event in the same plaza, I spotted this healthy restaurant option. I already ate dinner but decided since I was in the area that I would order takeout leftover for lunch. I had never been to a Flower Child so I needed to understand their sauces. They let me try them. I decided on chicken without that accompanied sauce, red chili glazed sweet potato with sesame seeds, and the unique roasted brussel sprouts. I am a sucker for items not typically served. It was a little costly for the portion. Chicken was a little dry, but the guy said they could not provide a sauce I like. A few sides interested me so I might return for it or at least see their rotating menu. One of the added perks of exploring while going to Yelp events in areas not on my radar.

Glow bowl with chicken. It was flavorful but I worry it may have been too salty for me.

Everything here is too too salty. I've had tinnitus after each of the three times we've eaten here. I've tried ordering different things. All salty. It's a bummer because my kids really like it. Especially the gluten free mac and cheese and the steak and the broccoli. I must give credit for the very tasty gluten free baked goods. That is an accomplishment. Restaurant is clean. Staff friendly. Just wish I could actually eat the food.

We rode our bikes to the No Kings protest here and popped in to grave a bite before hitting the Monon to go back. We absolutely loved this place, from the menu to the furniture and the environment which reminds us of Southern Cal. The food is farm-to-table fresh and so delish. Amy ordered the Mother Earth Bowl and I had the Spring Ingredient Salad with grilled chicken. We also tried the classic hummus first. Enjoyed the sun-dried tomatoes and olives with the natural grain pita wedges. We could use one of these spots in Carmel and Westfield. Do you guys franchise....? Peace out.

Organic veggies and unique entrees, I am SOLD! Cauliflower risotto was just divine, it had the right texture and flavor and I couldn't make out there was no grain. I tried the chopped vegetable salad and just the ginger miso vinaigrette gave such an earthy and delicious texture and flavor. The toasted sesame seeds combined with snap pee radish and cucumber added the right amount of crunchiness and deliciousness! This place is perfect, there were a variety of shrimp, chicken and meat options too. Great find!

Cute spot with delicious food that leaves you feeling healthy after eating :) we ordered takeout for our long drive and were so glad we stopped at flower child! The corn quinoa and sweet potatoes were my favorite as well as their Arnold palmer and fresh kombucha! Wish we lived closer to this place.

Quality food and the flavors really sing. The Mother Earth bowl was very good and filling. I especially like the grilled char of the veggies. Flavors were balanced mixed together. The Kung Pau Cauliflower was also good. It was savory with a bit of sweet flavor, and not spicy. The outdoor seating is covered, making it cool and shady on a warm day. The indoor dining has a nice ambiance too. Employees were friendly.

My salad was so delicious I could have licked the bowl!

I loved this beautiful restaurant. It's light, airy and whimsical . Great variety of photos and art covering almost every available space. We had 23 people in our group, and they were more than accommodating, moving tables together, helping with our orders and getting us anything we asked of them. It's so fun!

I went to Flower Child for lunch. I didn't know what type of food they had, but it simply looked beautiful from outside and it just attracted me. Their menu seems healthy and has a lot of vegetables featured. There were so many things I wanted to try but I ordered the chicken plate. Choosing two sides from many options was hard. I picked Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. Food was served quickly. They brought them to our table. It was a simple grilled chicken breast but I really liked it. Brussels sprouts had some delicious sauce on. It was very satisfying and I felt full quickly. I loved their space too. Cute interior with lots of lights. It's my new favorite restaurant in Nora!

Flower Child nails the fast-casual experience with a health-forward twist. You order at the counter--after a short wait in line--then find a seat while they bring your food to you. The concept blends wholesome ingredients with a laid-back, modern vibe, offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options! I ordered the Ginger Miso Crunch salad: crisp carrot zoodles, red pepper, and cabbage tossed in a tangy Asian dressing with just the right kick. Adding salmon brought a rich, savory balance that made the dish feel complete. Clean flavors, friendly service, and a feel-good atmosphere make this a reliable spot for a nourishing meal that doesn't skimp on taste. I look forward to a return visit.

Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. It's a very small kitchen where all the action happens, which is very impressive for a restaurant their size. Very knowledgeable staff and servers described all the ingredients and notes of flavor to look for in the dishes very well. Most ingredients were locally sourced and staff highlighted the importance of souring fresh local ingredients with every dish. Everyone form the hostess to the bartender and bus boy were friendly and welcoming. definitely 5* for service. The menu is a mix of several cuisines from Korean to Italian and even some French with a twist. The menu has great vegetarian options. Unfortunately the chef's tasting menu wasn't available as my reservation was made same day, but I decided to go with the two specials of the day. Dinner kicked off with a shot of Champaign on the house They like welcoming their guests that way. Water kept being refilled immediately. The staff again was very attentive. As an appetizer I went with the Scallops crudo with house made berry vinegar. The crudo was a healthy serving of scallops. Crispy raw carrots and radish provide some texture, while greens including endive provided some bitterness. This dish was a bit heavy on pepper and bitterness from the endives and could use some acidity to balance it out. Scallops were not as sweet as I was expecting. A bit more of the homemade raspberry vinagrette would have been perfect. The dark blue ring caused by the marination process would have shown more on a different color serving plate instead of a black bowl. For the main course I ordered the Beet linguini with sea bass. Interesting take on linguini Pickled rhubarb, rainbow radishes, fresh dill and a 'beet marinara' sauce reminded me of borscht. Unfortunately the linguini was overcooked and soaked up a lot of the butter and sauce. The pickled rhubarb provided a break from the heaviness of the dish but overall the dish lacked brightness. Sea bass was perfectly cooked. Seared and crusted with salt and pepper on one side, simple. Well executed but nothing special. For dessert I went with the Strawberry dacquoise which was delicious. The white chocolate bark with pink peppercorn stole the show. It should be layered inside the dessert! I wanted more of it. This dessert was not overly sweet. it was a great mix of pistachios and strawberry and fluffy cake. Gelee was a bit too dense but otherwise fantastic end to a good meal.

Our server, Hannah, made us feel welcome immediately. She was warm, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and struck the perfect balance of being available without ever hovering. We started with the Caprese peach salad and the deviled eggs, both of which were outstanding. Then the evening became something truly special. Our friends happened to know Chef Antoine, who came out to say hello and asked if we'd trust him to simply cook for us. We happily said yes--and we're so glad we did. The chef first brought out a beautiful arugula salad with peaches, strawberries, pecans, blue cheese, and an incredible peach balsamic vinaigrette. Then came what he called "a sampling," but it was really a feast. We enjoyed rich, tender short ribs over creamy grits, a perfectly prepared chicken cordon bleu with fresh green beans, and beautifully blackened redfish served with dirty rice and asparagus. Every single dish was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Dessert was the perfect ending: creamy cheesecake and a slice of hummingbird cake, one of my all-time favorites. Both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. It was a beautiful evening, and while many guests enjoyed the patio, we chose to sit inside. After this experience, I already know we'll be back in the fall to enjoy dinner outside. I've lived back in the Indianapolis area for a while now, and I can honestly say this was the best meal I've had since returning. We had driven past Juniper on Main countless times without stopping. It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

everything here was great, from the service to the food to the vibes..
